    Bacon breakfast burrito. Chef's kiss!
    Krissy R.

One of the employees at my job got about 40 breakfast burritos to share for a celebration at work. There was a variety of ham, bacon, and sausage to pick from. All I can say is WOW this was one of the best burritos i've ever had in my life. I was impressed with how hefty the portion was, this was a heavy burrito. It had a very generous amount of fluffy scrambled eggs and flavorful bacon in every bite, all wrapped up in a hot flour tortilla that tasted hand made. It had diced potato in it as well but it wasn't used as a filler like most places tend to do so they can skimp on other areas. It also had a delicious red salsa inside and melted yummy cheese. I was delighted to find out it was from a place in the city I live in, I looked at the other reviews and pictures of their food and it looks like a promising new place for me to go eat at from now on.

Wow! This place is very unassuming. It's easy not to even see. Happy to have found it on Yelp. We are in LA for a getaway from home in San Diego. We had a delicious and fresh breakfast. 2 meals for $17! Good food and a great price point. Wish we lived closer. Come here and support a classic Mom and Pop place.

Rushed in and out for some breakfast burritos, forgot to get some extra hot sauce. Breakfast burritos (bacon & egg, sausage & egg) are solid, no complaints. The cheese melts nicely adhering to the bed of scrambled eggs and the flour tortilla. In the center, you have your protein of choice along with a generous flurry of hash browns and a small dollop of their optional mild sauce.

This Downey staple has a slight Quentin Tarantino movie vibe...maybe it's the large windows, rock walls & the scent of a Royale with cheese. Whether for take/out or dine in you order at the counter after gazing at the menu. It features a ton of choices for Breakfast (available till 2:00), Lunch & Dinner. Prices for many of the offerings are on the lower side (for California anyway) & portions are generous. Your food is brought to you and customer service is welcoming, fast & attentive. The Double Cheeseburger was one tasty burger & the Onion Rings, crunchy. The Chicken Teryaki Plate was also good. It came with sticky rice & a nice sized side salad. We tried The Combination Breakfast Burrito (ham, sausage & bacon) & the Egg & Cheese Burrito...both were hot, fresh & chubby & come with hash browns tucked within. Coffee was decent & you can serve yourself. There's a soda station as well. The Specials section of the menu features popular burgers, sandwiches, etc. & most come with fries & a 16 oz drink. There's a good sized parking lot in back & outdoor tables. Plenty of seating inside.

When my coworkers mentioned this place, I thought "Not another burger joint!" They quickly refuted with, "This place sells more than just burgers. They have great teriyaki bowls... kind of like Waba Grill." They were right. This place offers more than just your typical run-of-the-mill burgers. I was overwhelmed by the choices they had here: American, Mexican, Korean, you name it! I decided to go with the chicken teriyaki plate. I got charged for the combo. I guess I should have made clear that I was not interested in purchasing a fountain drink. I only wanted the food. I asked the owner for a refund for the difference, which she begrudgingly gave me. The plate arrived quickly and came with rice, thinly sliced pieces of chicken thigh/leg meat, and a simple salad with Italian dressing. I wasn't overly impressed, but it wasn't terrible either. The ambience is that of a typical greasy mom and pop burger joint. It can use some updates. If you're looking for a quick bite at a sit down restaurant, this place does the trick. Bathrooms are accessible from outside.

The double bacon cheeseburger...... that is so delicious,,,,,, the only picture I could take was in between bite's....

Now if you have read my other post/reviews you know that cheeseburgers are my favorite. This time I'm starting with the fries. The best way I can describe them Perfect .... The perfect cut ,,, crispy but moist and the perfect amount of salt. Now the cheeseburger ,,,,,,, Delicious delicious delicious,,,,,, The lettuce, tomatoes and pickles and onions were crisp and tasty the cheese, of course nice and melting on a delicious meat patty with some fresh buns that reminded me of those burgers I would get when I was a kid. The people that work there are really nice and down to earth, even though it was my first time to going there I felt like I was a regular. As for the restaurant itself, it's your typical burger place . with the condiments on the side the soda machine. it feels like your local neighborhood burger joint , nothing too fancy just really Delicious food. And like I always say, try it for yourself don't just take my word for it. I might think it's the best on the planet where you might not . so go ahead and give them a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Time out burger is a little hidden gem great little family restaurant. I got the shrimp and fry basket. My girls got a burger and fries and we also got fried zucchinis. Everything was really good and fresh. we got there a little late. We had about 45 minutes to enjoy our food and we did service was excellent. Inside was pretty old-fashioned. I loved it very clean. Definitely be back.

Overall, the food was really good for someone that's a burger person. I think the burger would've tasted better if they changed the bread instead of the plain bread you should go with the seed bread service was great onion rings. I'll give him a seven out of 10 tasted like they were undercooked and also the oil was old could've been, but overall, I'll give it a 8.5 out of 10 price is reasonable quality of the food very good not the best but still good I would recommend adding more season on fries portion on fries is ok overall staff is friendly place is really clean

This is a typical classic burger joint. So, unfortunately I didn't actually try one of their burgers (I will next time), but I got the chicken teriyaki bowl. It's very simple, but solid. It tasted very good, the rice was yummy and the chicken was very good! They grill it then and there and it tasted just as so! I got the combo which comes with fries and a drink. I do wish the bowl came with some veggies, but I think that's only with the teriyaki plate. I had come here because I was waiting for a ride and it was nearby, but I think I would come again if I were in the area. The lady who helped me was really nice and there's also plenty of spacious seating on the inside. There's also a condiment area for you to use inside as well. the menu also has a large variety.

Chicken fajita plate, rice and beans so good!

Feels like a Mom and Pop small restaurant than a burger joint. Nice, clean and cozy, I regret finding it recently after 6-7 years in this area. Burrito and breakfast burritos are tasty tasty tasty.

Since it was our first time (thanks to tik tok!), Henry went over the menu and shared his personal favorites as well as the most popular among customers. He did tell us they are known for their sandwiches. We went with one breakfast burrito and the granada sandwich, respectfully. We had them cut in half too. We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! We got jalapeño aioli as a dipping sauce and man oh man was it good! We will definitely be returning! And honestly, I can't wait! Some notes: If you need to use the restroom, you gotta head over to the movie theater across the way as Monty's does not have a public restroom. Be patient as there is a wait time. It wasn't packed at all, but we believe there aren't many cooks back there. It's okay though, totally worth it in our opinion.

Smallest pieces of chicken we've ever seen. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, not sure if the steak was cooked all the way through, but with one of the bites, the meat was cold. I stopped eating it after that. Maybe we just went on a bad day. I just know I get one bad experience anywhere, especially with food, and I won't go back.

The rice tasted like Filipino garlic rice, which was a nice touch. Overall, really good. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and didn't need extra sauce, which I always look for in good BBQ. Portion was solid for around $15-$16+. Customer service was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in a plaza, but there's plenty of parking. The funny thing is that her brisket wasn't as smoky as mine. It was pretty dry though. I had the sandwich,,, I think it was the 405. Anyway I took most of the meat out because it was very dry and very very smoky. The dressing and greens were good. The brisket was All smoke no flavor, no juicy, no wanting to eat the full sandwich. I also ordered sweet potato fries and they were good but the portion was very small for the price. There was no one in there but one other guy taking photos with a ring light and making it look better than it tasted. All smoke and mirrors if you ask me. The service was good but then again, no one else was there. They could have given us more than one napkin though.

.., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!
