#7 Italian with a smudge of Tuna?
Gen M.

Was in the area and craved an Italian so I stopped by here. The customer service was meh... the staff weren't engaged too much with their customers and more with each other's personal conversations in front of us customers. What did bother me was that my sandwich was made so sloppily. I ordered a #7 Spicy East Coast Italian but it came with a smudge of tuna on the bottom of my bread. I scraped it off but it totally killed the taste of my sandwich and I was too afraid to ask the older lady to remake it because she didn't seem too approachable especially with all her complaining.

Since the Covid hit , we stopped cold for eating out a lots. Today we tried to wandering out of our comfort zones to help the local businesses which hit very hard recently months. We came in to this place because it partnered with our Church which would donate their percentage for a good cause. It was win-win for both by doing this fund raising. You even smelled of the breads from this restaurant far away. We ordered a new special Cuban sandwich 18 inches and 8 inches roast beef sandwiches. These sandwiches were delicious and awesome. The tastes so riches in flavors , with freshly made. Services here were also fast and friendly, even going extra miles to recommend and help. Will probably coming back to this place for sure in the later days. This place also applied all the regulations to the masks and social distance accordingly to protect the customers.

Inside of the Beach Club... thin meat.

This is the first time my hubby & I have tried Jimmy johns. We were in search of something different during a Hot California day. I seen the commercial for the summer Chicken wraps. I tried the Thai chicken wrap & asked for extra Tomato ( which Ivan did Not do, instead he added Extra Mayo) seriously.... We ate at home so didn't realize that till we sat to eat & looked at the receipt. That was annoying. Let me say that was the two stars worth. It was different & Good, Not GREAT But JUST Good. Unfortunately the tortilla wrap was much more than the actual filling ( Chicken & Veg/ Lettuce). How ever what I found Gross was the amount of dressing that dripped out the end as I bit through which was Not evenly spread through the wrap. Would I eat it again? Yes with less Mayo or dressing. Also ONE IMPORTANT fact, the Wrap IS SMALL ( length of a Napkin) . But Okay for me , a small eater. It was was $9.25 Second item was the Beach club at $8.25 which I would Never come back for. Unfortunately the size of sandwich is NOT for a Grown Man. Maybe two young kids can share. Price was decent but Again the Bread was much more of this sandwich ingredient than the chinsey amount of thinly sliced meat. So basically my hubby was eating a lot of Bread. There is a lot of parking, inside is Clean & Employees are Blah. Lesson learned.

I have been here twice and specifically ask for no Mayo and they totally screwed up my sandwich. I'll never go here again.

Hair left on purpose

Omg! Horrible horrible horrible the bad reviews about this place are right! They don't get your order right at all ! I drove all the way back to get my money back and they gave me another sandwich with a hair on it (I'm sure it was on purpose) since I got into it with the manager there and she was acting like it was my fault . That's y I checked for any hair before eating it and sure enough there was never again. What's sad is this is exactly why the manager will always work at a fast food restaurant some people aren't made for anything but that.

Sad sandwich!!!! This location is trash. They didnt even put the cheese on it or cut in half as requested
Kris H.

This location is trash. My sandwich is wrong it's missing normal ingredients that comes on this sandwich and requested ingredients. I preordered my sandwiches and they didn't start making it until I walked in. There was no one else waiting and no orders being worked on. It was dead in there and now I know why. Took 15 minutes for me to get two very sad sandwiches. Time for new employees and management

They say third times the charm... in this case it wasn't. I really hoped I could learn to like this place, but after ordering here the other day I just felt sick. The unwich had a sloppy lettuce wrapping that looked almost like a taco holding the contents of my "sandwich," the bacon... oh dear .... looked straight out of a cold pack - no crunch and super salty I tossed it out.... and the "avocado" spread...it's green and watery and appears to have come out of a bag. I've had a better experience before, but this time the sloppiness of my sandwich really highlighted the poor quality ingredients used, and for almost $10! No bueno..... I learned my lesson!

I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo of the other half beforehand.

The guys here are great. They're super fast and they're efficient. This is literally the best sandwich shop I have ever stepped into. The sandwiches are good, my personal favorite is the #16, the Club Lulu. It consists of sliced turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Add salt and pepper to any sandwich and I promise you it changes the whole dynamic of the flavor. Though I am a huge fan of the french bread, I do also love the wheat. Their catch phrase is "subs so fast, you'll freak", and honestly the sandwiches are definitely done very fast. I highly recommend giving Jimmy John's a shot.

Since it was our first time (thanks to tik tok!), Henry went over the menu and shared his personal favorites as well as the most popular among customers. He did tell us they are known for their sandwiches. We went with one breakfast burrito and the granada sandwich, respectfully. We had them cut in half too. We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! We got jalapeño aioli as a dipping sauce and man oh man was it good! We will definitely be returning! And honestly, I can't wait! Some notes: If you need to use the restroom, you gotta head over to the movie theater across the way as Monty's does not have a public restroom. Be patient as there is a wait time. It wasn't packed at all, but we believe there aren't many cooks back there. It's okay though, totally worth it in our opinion.

We all ordered sandwiches, and despite there being no other customers in the restaurant, it took nearly 30 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered the turkey sandwich with mayo on the side, but it arrived without the cheese or onions that were supposed to be included. The employee at the counter was very apologetic, which I appreciated, but it didn't make up for the long wait and incorrect order. In total, we spent $56 on sandwiches that were mediocre at best. Sadly, the food and overall experience did not live up to the positive reviews.

I've tried their signature The Melrose, which consists of black forest ham, oven roasted turkey, bacon, melted White American cheese, topped with house slaw (lettuce, red onions, pepperoncini tossed in their "Melrose" spread) and tomato. I absolutely love this sandwich!! It's packed with so much flavor, and the bun absorbs all of the juicy goodness, making every bite incredibly satisfying. Runner-up for me is the Uncle Nikki. This one has Genoa salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone cheese, also topped with their house slaw. I've only ordered from here through Postmates, and every time their packaging is excellent--they wrap each sandwich in this cute wrapper, which adds a fun touch and keeps everything neatly intact and fresh by the time it arrives. Each sandwich is around $12 (as of June 2026), and I honestly think it's worth the price because these sandwiches are huge and so good!!

.., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!

Everything inside is very soft and rich, which made it a little hard to eat. The packaging helped, but my hands were still super greasy by the end. Flavor-wise though? So good.
