We came by to redeem the offer from the SGV Passport. They are located inside BLVD Market. The offer was for a BOGO on the Mexican Lager or any Margarita. You can walk up to bar to order and it wasn't too busy on a Sunday. The bartender was friendly and explained which Margaritas were offered. We ended up getting the Mexican Lager and a Hibiscus Margarita. The drinks were ready in a matter of minutes. We found seats inside to enjoy them and watch some TV. The Mexican Lager was solid. Cozy little bar inside the new Whittier BLVD MRKT. The service is very friendly and the selection of beer and wine is quite large considering how compact this place is. They have indoor seating but you can take your beverage outside in their patio area. There's also plenty of food options close by in case you get hungry. All in all, I would come back to try some more of their craft brews! read more

Located inside the BLVD MRKT. They usually have fun holiday decor and always plenty great beer selections. Staff is always attentive and helpful and allow a couple beer tastings to help you decide. There's plenty of outdoor seating with some heaters available, kid and pet friendly. Plenty of 2hr timed side lot or street parking. read more

My SO and I sampled the Mexican Lollipop Honest Abe 7% cider and another beer with raspberry in it. I should have taken a picture because I can't find the name on any of their menus online. It seems some of their beers get rotated. I didn't like the spicy aftertaste to the watermelon habañero beer, so I opted for the other one, which had a very crisp taste. The employee working the bar let is sample both, and we ate/drank indoors. read more

It pains me to do this but I am only giving them 2 stars even though I had previously given them 5. My friends and I LOVE the hibiscus and the fidelio margarita. Except the last few times I have gone the margaritas are very different and not good at all. I did notice that it's been a different bartender, maybe that's the issue? I hope they can fix this. The music last Wednesday was beautiful though. read more

We stumbled upon this place when we were in Montebello for an event. Our friend noticed another co-worker who happened to be here in the patio as well. They had this LARGE boot shaped mug of beer. Of course, my friend wanted to get one as well, so we went inside and ordered it. To be able to get the Boot of beer, you have to leave a boot. LOL Funny thing is that my friend was actually wearing BOOTS! LOL So after he paid for his drink, the bartender told him to move to the side, so he did. Then the bartender released a rope to lower a basket full of shoes! HAHAHA My friend had to leave one boot in the basket and then when he was done, he would return the boot mug, and he would get his boot back. Hilarious gig! We shared the beer and enjoyed the night drinking and eating out in the patio while listening to a band play. Totally love this atmosphere to enjoy the night with friends. read more

After having come bomb chilaquiles next door, we want to keep the vibe going so we had gone inside to look at the menu. My friend had gotten the HIBISCUS FIDELIO MARGARITA, she loved it, she drank it from a straw and said on the herbal than sweeter then she tried it with the tajin and chamoy, went from a 10 to a 100. The All Star drink was the SPICY CUCUMBER FIDELIO, that drink on its own is so good, can definitely taste the pepino and the jalapeño but it's a perfect balance, no flavor over rides each other. Only thing is I asked for no tajin just chamoy, but he flipped it. But it's ok was still good. read more

They have a wonderful beer and cocktail selection that is ever changing. They let you sample the beers and reccommend things that will go along with your food choices. They do not serve food, but the food options around them are excellent as well. The cocktails are fun and different and aren't your typical boring cocktails. I indulged in their slushiees that can be made as a normal cocktail on the rocks if you prefer. It changes seasonally. It's a peffect summer treat. They do have live music/DJ on the weekends which adds to fun atmosphere. The best pat about the bar is the friendly staff. They are always cordial and know about their beer and cocktail selections and can speak on them unlike most places. read more

I got the Mexican Lollipop because I love Mexican candy . I got it with the rim and while it was tasty, I didn't know the rim was extra and it was pretty expensive for the amount of alcohol there was. Service was great. The staff members were really nice and took the time to go through the different beers they had. There are some tables inside but a lot more outside because it's located inside the Blvd Market, which I really like. There's street parking around the market. read more

Nice little bar inside the BLVD MKRT. My brother and I got some beers and then sat outside to enjoy the extremely hot weather, so we decided to stay in after that. Seating inside is limited, so if you are out of luck outside it is. They have a good selection of beers and also make some cocktails. Good drink to pair up with the food vendors here. read more

Pretty cool place, it's pretty much the only place that serves alcohol here unless you're willing to go across the street to Angry Horse Brewing. Service here is prompt and friendly. We usually get the Mexican Lollipop here. True, you can just get this in a can from Honest Abe which you can find in stores like Bevmo or Total Wine. But it's nothing like it drinking and dining with friends here. It's $8 without and $1 more with plus tax. As for the beers, they have some local brews such as some of my favorites in the likes of Radiant, Offshoot, Green Cheek Brewing. Ironically, you can also find Angry Horse beer here. They don't have a stout here when we were here. Boo... Lots of seating at Blvd Mkt, free parking is a plenty in the nearby neighborhood streets. read more

Originally was at Angry Horse and wasn't my vibe (to be fair, my first time there and it was an event) , got here and greeted with friendly, courtesy staff, made recommendations and will hang til last call. Location is great, as it is in BLVD MRKT, so you can get a drink from Alchemy and choose food from several places. Nice picnic-style tables with umbrellas on the patio, or eat inside if it is too hot out. Service here is fabulous! They went above-and-beyond to ensure we had a great experience at BLVD. Wish they had a good Sour on tap but still enjoyed ourselves. read more

A food hall isn't complete without some alcohol! I went here on Saturday during their mardi gras celebration (which was so fun!) and stopped in Alchemy to grab drinks. They have a great selection of beers on tap and limited cocktail menu. Prices were about ~$10 per drink that I ordered, so not bad. Staff was really friendly answering questions and also prompt with getting drinks out so I didn't wait more than 15 minutes. I got the watermelon cider with the watermelon sugar rim which was really refreshing! Tasted like candy but not overly sweet. I also tried the cocktail they had which had a mix of tequila and sake -- gave me smokey margarita vibes and I'm not mad about it. Next time, I'll try their brews on tap! read more

This place was great! I love how intimate it is, but also how closesly attached it is to the other food spots at the BLVD Market. I went for some Galentines day fun with my girlfriends and they had a DJ, a full decorated corridor, and people buzzing around. Since it was near the holiday they offered wine deals, and of course holiday drinks. They were doing special pink margaritas, topped with a heart straw, candy heart stirrer, and of course a nice spicy and sweet rim. I was going to opt to just get one drink but the bartenders didn't want me to miss out on a good deal. They mentioned 2 magaritas for $16. We love a great deal, so I couldn't hold back from this. I am not in this area too often, but I know that when I am I will be back for a much hyped Michelada. read more

My favorite place to stop by for a quick drink after work! I like to try whatever seltzer is available. Last night had the Pepino Lime and it was delicious. Hibiscus Margarita is another one of my favorites. Not to mention, you can sip on your fav drink while also indulging in the delicious food options available at the BLVD Market. Yum! Yesterday, I went here again, not knowing I was going back to the Halloween stomping grounds I once monster mashed in. This visit was more fun as I felt like I had partied in a club nestled in the after-life word that Coco invited us to imagine because I attended El Velorio, here. El Velorio is a celebration of Mexican culture, specifically the art and step of Dia De Los Muertos. I arrived 30 minutes early, to Quiet Cannon (where club Lit sits) and paid 20 dollars for parking. Once I entered, the club space was dead. There were a few people here and there, I bought the tickets, but did not really understood what I signed up for. I am the type of person who sees something advertise gets tickets and then sees how the night will go. I am open to opportunity and engage with chance when it comes. A bit after the 7 the show began. The opening number was a dance by Aztec dancers, scored by a beating drum. The dancers were in full custom, feathers and all. Later in the evening, as I danced, I felt a caress on my neck that felt strange, not good nor bad. It felt like a tickle and slither, like a playful snake stretching on my neck to find its comfort spot. I turned and it was a black feather from a Calavera custom. My mind was arrested when I saw these performers dance. It was beautiful in a quiet way. I wanted to know what the dance called for? Saying that there dance called for rain would be reductive, but, I had no other thoughts to conclude. I hope that their dance called for something good that every person in Lit could carry for a better tomorrow. After the Aztec dancers came an all girl Mariachi group. I did not get their names, I mean no disrespect, there was simply a lot going on. I am not a Mariachi fan, but this Mariachi group was innovative, not only because they were an all female ensemble but because they sang melodies I could recognize. Forever, I will carry the memory of an all female Mariachi group singing 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' on a night where a party grooved to Mexican Culture, which now is also part of American Culture. One of the staff members of club lit supported the group by placing a microphone near the instrument of the musicians. Now the melody of the cello, could be heard better. It was a moment that made the night more magical because it was a human to human moment scored by classical notes. After the Mariachi I viewed a small gallery of art. It had some standout pieces but on the whole the art gallery was a good attempt. There was this picture (that I clipped and can be found in the picture section) of young girl with flowing hair, the color of different shades of water. The moon was full and high above her. Her eyes were light blue, her dress translucent and light gray that was somehow also blue and also somehow the wind of the night wrapping her. The title of the piece was unfinished return. I felt like I saw the Llorona healed. Like she was no longer a spirit of pain, longing for her lost children. She was a spirit of rebirth that offered waters to wash pain away. So her lament turned into splashes of redemption. See her eyes and know the woe you carry become part of water, in its different forms, and for a moment know a pause from pain. One of my favorite parts, of course, was La Catrinas. The women in Calavera paint, with hoop dressed that are full of theatrical flowers, and other macabre details that in sum make the woman look like she got a full makeover for her day of death. My favorite Catrina was the one that was dressed in a wedding dress that was in full black, with details, like a headpiece that showcased a studded skull. Her makeup was on point, it almost made me forget that I was looking at a human dressed appropriately for spectacle. I zoomed in on her makeup, when she was not looking, and, in my opinion, the resulting picture looks like a portrait. I view it and I feel a small chill, not because I am an artist but because I helped immortalize her efforts that spoke of hours of intricate makeup work. The bartender gave me crap for ordering girly drinks, but it was all in good fun. Oh and Friday they had some awesome Karaoke going on. I will 100% be back at The Venice Room.

When we got there, a man was doing maintenance on the playground and told us it would be about an hour before we could enter. My son, who has autism, was understandably upset, so I took him next door to the pet store to help distract him while we waited. After an hour, we returned--only to be told it would be another 30 minutes. At that point, I asked if my sons' memberships were active through Regional Center. The employee flipped through a notebook and couldn't even locate one of my son's memberships. We left because my son's patience was gone, which is directly related to his autism. This entire experience left a very sour taste. If a business offers social recreation services through Regional Center, accurate hours and organized membership records are essential. What's even more upsetting is that I later discovered Regional Center was charged for six months of membership, even though we never attended or used the membership at all. I never signed a contract agreeing to ongoing charges. I also received a text stating the membership would not be active if we didn't attend--yet they still billed Regional Center. Also, never extended services. Between the inaccurate hours, lack of accommodation, disorganization, and billing issues, I would not recommend this business to Regional Center families.
