We absolutely love this place. Some describe it as a "Spanish hipster" spot, and that feels pretty accurate in the best way. We usually stop by either before or after visiting the barnyard zoo. It's a small place, but offers a great variety of options, Mexican food, pizza (so good), a coffee shop, and even a craft beer bar all in one place. The bar also serves $12 cocktails, which is a nice bonus. It's especially fun when they host events. The combination of good food, good music, and friendly staff makes the whole experience even better. Not to mention, the outdoor area is super cute. Highly recommended! read more

BLVD MRKT is a small food hall in the city of Montebello. The location doesn't have a parking lot, but street parking and parking in the residential area. My wife and I have come here a few times to collect our deals from the My SGV passport. I think years back there were way more vendors, but currently there's a small amount of vendors operating. The spots we've tried were: Alchemy Craft: good cocktails! Los Taquero Muchos: bomb tacos! Cold Pizza: delicious pizza options! The vendors we visited were all friendly and accommodating. The vendors inside are Alchemy Craft & Cold Pizza. The rest of the vendors are outside. They offer indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. There are also TVs inside to watch some sports games. We tried the spicy pepperoni cup pizza from Cold Pizza and it was incredible. You can really taste the difference with their fresh ingredients and wood-fired oven. We also had smash burgers from For the Win and they were seriously top tier. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. To top it off, we grabbed a couple beers from Alchemy Craft. I found BLVD MRKT from Google search of eateries in the area. I didn't find any designated parking for the place, but I was able to snag a parking spot on an adjacent street. I stopped by around 6:30pm on a Tuesday. There were a few patrons, but I thought that it was generally quiet for a local community watering hole. The spots that were open at the time were of pupusas, Mexican food, Filipino food, pizza, and beer. Bummed that the Filipino vendor was closed, because that's the one I really wanted to try. I got Mexican food instead, which was pretty good. Indoor seating looked limited, but there was plenty of seating outside. There were TVs at the pizza and bar area for entertainment. read more

Visited for a special paint and sip event and had a great time! While I didn't get a chance to try any of the food vendors, everything looked and smelled amazing--I'll definitely be back to explore more. Our paint and sip offered a drink tix from the Brewery inside. They offered both beer and some refreshing cocktails that were delish. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice touch. I celebrated my 35th at BLVD MRKT and the team knocked it out of the park! It was so easy to coordinate with Barney, it happened to be jazz night so the live music set the perfect tone, and the service was incredible. The space was alive that night! I'm so happy that I got to spend my birthday at this lovely space :) The jazz band even played a birthday song for me, I was so thrilled!! My friends had a nice time walking around the area too, there was a bazaar next door. It's good to have so many food options as well so everyone had their pick. We ate so much! This place is awesome to get together, especially for the community. Although they've been having trouble with their restaurant selections Its been hit or miss the past 4 years Alot of different variety of food have been in and out so its not consistent. Nothing really stood out either but its good for people meeting they can decide on different foods they want, I think the montebello run club meets there also so its nice to hang after. All the food and drinks are great. The patio is cute and inviting, as well. We only had one issue. The flies!!! The flies literally swam you as soon as you come outside to the patio with a drink or food. They're always rotating incredible beers from all the best breweries. The services at each of these establishments is unmatched. They frequently have awesome dj's and performers. I've visited the BLVD MRKT a few times now and I have yet to be disappointed. The cafecito from Cafe Santo is always so smooth. Their chai latte is my go-to. The pizza at La Crosta is delicious, it's wood-fired, and always cooked perfectly. I have also had the pupusas from Vchos, they are always fresh! The curtido and the salsa that's provided to eat with the pupusas is also pretty good. The nachos from Los Taquero Mucho are delicious! They carne asada is marinated well, and it's tender. Alchemy Craft has recently added 2 margaritas to their menu made with tequila infused soju, and they are refreshing and crafted beautifully. This place is such an asset to the community and I am excited to be back soon. read more

I loved this place. Well working in Los Angeles we were on our way to Montebello. Hungry and with my College aged daughter and colleague I pulled up yelp to see what would satisfy everyone. The website and yelp page peaked my interest and it looked to be a spot that would have options for all. It hit the target! My daughter perused the options and sidled up to the smash burger counter "For the Win" and hastily ordered a double Cheese burger with fries and a coke. She was given a beeper and she was off to find a table. My colleague found herself at the taco stand where both her and I ordered three tacos. She also got a juice that she very much enjoyed. I however made my way to Alchemy to partake in the tap options. I explained to the bartender what I was looking for and he gave me two recommendations. I wish I could remember the name of the beer it was a local brew that tasted to me like a blond beer. We all sat down and enjoyed the ambiance and our food. The location itself is very welcoming. Seating inside it had A/C which was appreciated on this warm day. They also have a lovely patio which has many tables and would have been my choice on a cooler day. Came here twice with my coworkers on separate occasions. First time we came was just for an hour to kill time before a birthday party. There is a public parking lot NE on Sixth street and Whittier. Small apartments behind the outdoor strip but I believe they're for the residentials so don't park there unless you wish to get towed. It's a small outdoor area with small restaurants/eateries and a mini bar inside. All restaurants were open but a lot of their menu items was going to be too long of a wait so we just ordered drinks inside at Alchemy. Their mexican lollipop and micheladas were my two go to drinks. Mexican lollipop tasted exactly as it sounds with the spicy watermelon rim. $8-9 per glass which was a great price. We ordered food at Vchos which had pupusas for $9/2 pupusas. Their pork and cheese was good. Forgot the name of the other eatery but they had battered sliced chili rellano peppers which was AMAZING. We also ordered nachos at the chicken koop and we weren't a fan since they didn't utilize nacho cheese rather melted shredded cheeese. Definitely would love to come back here and try the pez cantina. Everytime I've gone, their wait was too long or they were closed. The eatery hours are not as followed on the blvd market website. We came at 8pm on a Friday and all locations were closed already but assuming they close if they run out of supplies/food. read more

Not a bad place if you are not sure what to eat but want options. In downtown montebello about 5 to 10 minutes away from Costco and the movie theater. Decided to check it out since wanted to see how this was compared to other locations who have indoor concepts. The gumbo for me thought it was going to be a more bold and deeper flavor but it wasn't. For sure it was very hot when it came out so be careful when you eat it. Pupusus were the hit for me since the pork and cheese had really good flavor and nice and crispy. The slaw salad wasn't sour enough for me I want to say though. Lastly the tacos that has 4 for $10 were pretty good. Got 2 asada and 2 pastor usually I am a pastor person but this time the pastor didn't have the same flavor as other places so have to go with asada this time for the win. Got 2 drinks as well from the brewery. Their special drink that was a sake tequila margarita and a saizen name purple as f. Both were good the margarita was stronger than you think. read more

Happen to be in the area and heard about this place so I figured why not stop by on a random Tuesday late afternoon. The outdoor dining area is really pretty with string lights (probably a nice ambiance at night) and picnic tables spaced out. That particular afternoon, there was a nice cross breeze. There is a great variety of different types of food stalls so I perused by each before deciding upon the pupusas' booth (VchosTruck) and the coffee spot (Cafe Santo). The pupusas were 2 for $8 and you can mix/match, tasted as expected. The star of the afternoon was the Chocolate Cacao Iced with Cinnamon drink for $5. It wasn't overly sweet, and very refreshing. Good food hall for the area. It's not very big though, so I recommend you get here early to grab a seat. I think there's about 10ish tables/ benches outside. Some pretty good Latin-inspired food options. Here's what I tried: - Cafe Santo: grabbed a vanilla latte with almond milk. Good consistency and way to start off the day. - NOLA: got the chicken po' boy, which comes with a side of fries (no substitutes). The fries came out nice and warm, with good seasoning. The chicken was surprisingly tender and well flavored. A solid sandwich. - Los Taquero Mucho: got the Mixta Taco. You get three of them but if you wanted, you could mix and match the specialties too. I've never had longaniza as a meat in tacos before, so it was unique. It's not spicy and surprisingly not overwhelmingly flavorful. The guacamole base comes out nicely and was the main reason I chose this taco because I love guacamole. It was pretty good and filling, and I can see myself back for other things to try. Parking tip: while you could park on the street, there's also free public shared parking next door at the lot. Put in "Imports West Foreign Auto Parts" on Google Maps for an approximate location of the lot. read more
