Truly an underrated, hole-in-the-wall spot! Plenty of parking and seating available. I came for lunch and ordered a Gyro Plate with a potato salad side and Pot Roast on a French roll! The gyro was seasoned to perfection, complemented with a crispy pita bread and freshly diced tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. The pot roast sandwich was good and marinated well, but I think the star meal was definitely the gyro plate. Wonderful service and I was given extra cookies! Got customized breakfast burrito with... egg+cheese+potato+avocado. Salsa on the side. Everything is fluffy, fresh and feels if your mom would make, which i love! Salsa is very dense with lots of tomato and little kick is perfect. Very tasty. That's what I did I just came in before they close I was very hungry I was looking at the menu and owner recommended the Gyro I order one. I order to go it was ready and the smell was good I decided to eat in the car I was very hungry. One bite great flavors in the Gyro especially in the meat full of flavor in meat it also have onion,green peppers and spices it also come with their yogurt sauce I can't remember the name but it was good. I've been patronizing Nick's for many, many years as my office is close by. His daily soups are very good, my favorites being the vegetable and clam chowder. Always ask if they have any specials, because those never disappoint. A couple of my faves are the BBQ ribs and the salmon. Prices are reasonable, too. I highly recommend Nick's. read more

I would always pass by this place when I was in high school. I always wonder how the food was. I heard from word to mouth that the food was actually really good and that this place is kind of like a hidden gem. My first first visit to nicks consisted of meeting the owner (who is very friendly and helpful). He recommended I tried the lamb gyro plate. The food was very fresh and very tasteful. Pretty reasonable prices as well. Feels nice and cozy. (To me at least).Today, I ordered a breakfast burrito on the phone. On picking up the burrito and paying the nice lady gave me a free chocolate brownie and oh my was it delicious. As I exit the restaurant nick stopped what he was doing to thank me for coming in. Had to pick up a quick lunch and I've driven pass this place so many times. Well I finally said, let's give it a try! Had the egg salad sandwich on sour dough bread toasted. It was good! Tasted homemade and fresh. Plus they gave a salad of a pasta salad that was also delish! The pasta was mixed with carrots and bell peppers marinated in a simple olive oil/vinegar dressing that was well made! Just wish the portion size a was a bit bigger lol. I had my order to go, but they also have a couple tables and chairs. Don't expect a sit down restaurant tho, it's definitely way more casual. Like a deli that serves up food. More like 4.5, but I'll round up to 5. This place is great for many reasons. My coworker and I are regulars here. We went almost everyday for an entire summer. I've had most of the menu and it's pretty fail safe. There are certain things I like more than others. The sandwiches are great, egg salad is probably my favorite. The dinners are great as well as the soup. I haven't had the breakfast yet so I can't comment on it. The best dishes I've had though were things that Nick was making at the time. It seemed like he was always trying something out or making something special for an event or something and he would ask me if I wanted to try it. One time he made something, I think it was mousakka and Jesus Christ it floored me. If they had that on the menu I'd order it every time. Nick is a really awesome dude and I love this place. I actually feel guilty I haven't been here in so long. Partly because I know Nick will say, where you been? And I don't have a good answer for him. read more

I have been going to Nick's since they opened. Their food is always great. I don't think I have ever eaten something that I did not like. Their menu has something for most anyone since they have burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, chicken and beef entrees, hot dogs, etc. You get the idea. I have to say that their lentil soup is fan-freaking-tastic. And their California Burgers are tasty what with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, bacon and AVOCADO! Mmmmmmmmmmm... I've been going to place for the past 4 years...I've only gone at lunch hour. I'm surprised it doesn't have many reviews. This place is never empty and most of its customers are regulars..you'll always run into a cop or two when visiting Nicks. It's a small place but you'll always find a seat. They have a great selection of food: Sandwiches, Burgers, Salads, soups, Greek food, Breakfast items....etc.. I recommend the tuna sandwich on your choice of bread, I always choose a french roll. I also like their cheese burgers, fries, Greek salad served with pita bread, and their lentil soup which is served on Thursdays. I've never been disappointed when eating at Nicks. read more

The owner Nick is very friendly and shares awesome stories. They close earlier than 7pm which is a shame because I no longer work nearby and can't make it before closing. This place is a must try. I'm mixed about this place. I came in for lunch while waiting for some clothes to be washed. When I came in, I glanced at the menu, then stepped up to order. The man at the counter completely ignored me to continue his conversation with someone sitting across the restaurant. Weird. Finally a woman behind the counter stepped up and took my order, shouting over the man who was still shouting his conversation to the other guy across the restaurant. More weird. The food was quick for the most part. When I got my gyro pita, I was excited because there was SO much food and the veggies were super fresh and delicious, and the gyro meat was perfectly seasoned. But about halfway through eating it, I started tasting nothing but greasiness. Darn. So close to having a really good lunch. I'd go back to try something lighter, maybe a chicken souvlaki or something along those lines. And I'd also hope that I wouldn't have to yell my order across someone's conversation. read more
