Customized Breakfast burrito with potato/ cheese/ egg/ avocado with salsa on the side.

Got customized breakfast burrito with... egg+cheese+potato+avocado. Salsa on the side. Everything is fluffy, fresh and feels if your mom would make, which i love! Salsa is very dense with lots of tomato and little kick is perfect. Very tasty. Size is perfect While waiting for, Nick gave me an amazing treat of apple bar his wife made, which is vegetarian and oh so good! Vibe was so good and welcoming, I felt i went friends parents house, welcomed and treated so well with goodies ! I'm glad i found this place!! Next time, I wanna try their house made soup ! Thank You !!

Food is tasty, with that homemade touch. Had the French Toast with coffee, Steak and egg breakfast. Both very good and price is right. Friendly service and you can customize your meal to your preference. Definitely recommend you try it for breakfast or lunch, you will be back!

This is my first time at Nick's Paradise Cafe trying out different restaurants I never been before. One of a friend of mine told me to try the food ar Nick's Paradise Cafe. That's what I did I just came in before they close I was very hungry I was looking at the menu and owner recommended the Gyro I order one. I order to go it was ready and the smell was good I decided to eat in the car I was very hungry. One bite great flavors in the Gyro especially in the meat full of flavor in meat it also have onion, green peppers and spices it also come with their yogurt sauce I can't remember the name but it was good. It also comes three cookies they so good. I need ro come back again.

The gyro smothered in sauce. One is enough. With fresh veggies on top. Bomb.

This place hits the spot. I get full on one gyro. The fresh diced veggies on top with the sauce they give is so on point. They close early so I order my stuff to go before 3PM. The owners are super cool. Kind folk.

Excellent food, lovely owners. Great hole in the wall. Will definitely stop in again when in town. Loved the cookies. Thank you.

I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

Vida Pura is a Latina-owned plant based cafe located in the heart of East LA. It was formerly a…read morevegan food truck and eventually became the current brick-and-mortar cafe. [Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.

It wasn't unusual for me to get a few sandwiches on a weekly basis way back when. I am very happy that Cook's Tortas is still around. I have tried every sandwich on their board. My favorite has always been the Bombero #6. It is grilled tender steak with a red pepper sauce and avocados. The bread is a sourdough Ciabatta style roll which is made fresh daily. One side comes with the sandwich. This time I chose the Ham and Cheese Macaroni Salad. For dessert, I always get Great Grandmother's Corn Cake. Everything tasted very fresh. There was ample beef in the sandwich. The corn cake was not too sweet and the guava jelly on top enhanced the cake well. A pineapple-orange aqua fresca was a good, refreshing beverage accompaniment. Service was very friendly and exemplary. The food was prepared quickly and brought out to me. Prices are much higher now than before; more than doubled so this would be considered a special treat for me if I am in the area.

Pillowy soft and toasted bread with thick cuts of lengua, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and mustard nestled inside. The flavors are phenomenal! It also comes with a side and I always choose the Ham and Cheese Macaroni! I'm not kidding when I say I can eat the Ham and Cheese macaroni every single day and sometimes I order just a large bowl of it! I love that you can also upgrade the size of the sides to a bigger bowl. The sandwiches can be pricey, but honestly so worth it because of how big the portions are. Customer service is always top tier! The staff are always so kind and will answer any questions you have. Huge perk that you can also call in ahead of time to place your order and they offer curbside pick up. If you want to dine in, simply order at the cashier and they'll call you when your food is ready. Lots of seating inside and very clean. Free parking lot available too. Cook's Tortas will always have my heart and I will continue to recommend it to everyone I know!

Buy at night, I'm not so sure I'd take my mother-in-law there. We ordered 1 Chicken Sandwich 2 Chili dogs with cheese 1 Chili fry 1 Soda for a total of $38.51 (cash) My first mistake; not taking a photo of the current 'Menu' board; it is different from what's shown here; it has been updated. However, there is a 'Grilled Chicken Sandwich' on the menu board that is not offered... instead, they offer a tiny fried; breaded, processed chicken disk patty, sandwich - honestly, not worth buying... stick to the chili burgers or chili dogs. My honest opinion on this is, they should simply remove the chicken sandwich altogether - it is of no real value to the customer. The Chili, however, is this places Strong Point -- thick to that, and they'd do well. Chili dogs are good; a decent, long, slightly snappy dog on a regular small bun, but lightly smothered with a decent portion of chili; not too messy and easy to eat. The Chili Fries were also good; not great but good. The portion if generous but the fries quickly turned soft before I could plow into them. I do like some crispy fries with my Chili. But the flavor was good. I can't make a recommendation on this until I try another batch of chili fries. If, however, the fries remain soaked and soft, then I'd probably pass them up but just buy straight fries instead -- I hate soft soggy fries. As for the soda; a large is an OK size. I cannot say if they offer a refill; I did not go back to ask for one. But I'd hope a refill is available for the price. Pastrami: I got to taste a sample of the Pastrami, and it is really good. Here is where Chroni's could kick it up a notch; Chroni's does not have Bacon - Huge Disappointment and Missed Opportunity. With the Pastrami, and with Bacon, they could add one more menu Item that I know for a fact would sell: The Monster Burger - it is simply this: Bacon Cheeseburger with Pastrami, Chili, Onions & Pickles, and mustard. If they'd add this to their menu, I'd be back for sure. Just saying; something for Chroni's to think about. Get rid of the chicken, add the bacon. Seating: Oh, yeah; seating; Lots of outdoor seating... we were there on a Sunday and there were plenty of open tables. Parking: Lots of Parking too... for most parts or time, parking should not be an issue as I had thought. I nearly parked 3 blocks away when I saw the parking on the street; not knowing Chroni's had its own parking. But then discovered, they had plenty. I cannot say anything about restrooms; I didn't need to go nor looked to see if they had restrooms. My take-away for Chroni's is this; it is a throw-back to a early time when Snack Shack foods was a regular thing in L.A.; a nostalgic place with Lots of Promise and Potential. Pricing is a sign of the times; a bit high for me but it is what it is, but the staff are friendly & nice. My hope for Chroni's would be to focus on promotions & higher sales volume with an emphasis toward lowering prices as demand begins to grow once again. By minimizing the menus and just focusing on turning Chroni's back into High Quality Chili & Chili Burger Shack will definitely help increase sales once prices come down a bit. And if done right, there will still be lots of opportunity to turn a nice protfit. 5 Stars for Friendly & Nice Service 2 Stars on the Chicken & Soft/Soggy Fries 4 Stars for Seating 4 Stars for Parking 3 Stars for Cleanliness/Outdoor Dining/Restrooms (???) and bus bench/streetside characters. And, 5 Stars for Potential Overall - 3.5 Stars for now.
