    Chicken Shawarma plate with rice
    Wayne G.

We recently ordered dinner takeout: 6-10 person catering and 1 order of fries and the food was delicious! Generous portions of rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. The rice is sooo good. Still one of the best I've tasted at any Mediterranean restaurant. Our catering order came with 12 skewers. We chose beef and chicken. Each skewer had sliced lemon and grilled bell peppers. Catering also came with garlic sauce and a choice of greek or caesar salad. We chose the greek salad and asked for feta cheese on the side. The salad dressing also came on the side. Everything was fresh and they had our food ready about 1 hour after we called in to order. Friendly service. Still highly recommend John's Kabob. A hidden gem for local Mediterranean food!

We ordered take out and it fulfilled our Mediterranean food craving. We'd order again! I had the shrimp plate. It was delicious and definitely hit the spot! My partner agrees that it was the better choice. It came with garlic sauce and I had hummus and greek salad as sides. They were good and I kept the leftover dips and enjoyed them the next day. My partner had the chicken shawarma. I think the taste was underwhelming, so I wouldn't recommend it. He had a Caesar salad as a side and it was good -- the croutons were bomb! We had gyros fries and were so excited. The gyro was super tender, but was under-seasoned. The fries combo was filling though and we enjoyed the flavors that were there. So, some tasted off and some tasted great. Overall it was a good dinner.

    Gyros Supreme Sandwich Not great

I decided to try this place for lunch because it's nearby my work. I am definitely not an expert on Mediterranean food, but I've definitely had my share of gyros. Overall, I was underwhelmed. While the meat was tender and well cooked, it was woefully underseasoned, so it tasted fairly bland. Even the addition of the tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies (lettuce and tomatoes) couldn't help it. The tzatziki sauce was also not great. While the serving size was generous enough, think I would only come here again in a pinch. The one good thing is that it is not too expensive. However, given the option, I would definitely prefer to eat elsewhere.

Pretty average kabob joint. We got the 12 kabob set for $120 (with tax). Serves 6-10. I think it's pretty pricey for the flavors, but ok considering the variety. Chicken kabob is pretty tender. Beef kabob is nice but a little chewy. Shrimp kabob is unknown. We ordered it but didn't get them, so we don't know if they're any good. Greek salad is mostly iceberg and oniony. Unclear feeling about the dressing. Wish we got the caesar salad instead, but it's ok. Hummus is smooth but very sour and garlicky. Pita bread is a little on the tough end. Rice taste like school lunch. Parking is pretty terrible. Only 1 available spot and 1 disabled parking spot. There are a couple of street parking, but looks unsafe (as in nobody else parks there and it's a big street with cars flying around). We ordered over the phone and had to wait extra 15 minutes at pickup. Probably best to order online, it'll be integrated to their system. Also, we made requests to the kabob but didn't pan out, so that sucks. We made sure to call and get their confirmation to see if they can switch some of the kabob with shrimp...We had people who didn't eat meat and they basically couldn't eat anything but the salad and hummus.

What's up: Ohhhh...it's been a while since I've had kabobs and hummus. I got hit with that craving, so it was time for me to visit John's Kabobs! Parking: Not the greatest. There's probably like 2 spots, with one being for handicap. You'll most likely have to resort to street parking. It's also situated in a weird location so you'll have to be extra careful while parking and crossing the street. Environment: Walking up, you'll see a couple of tables and chairs out front for outdoor dining; indoor dining is also available. The order counter is towards the right of the building and when we arrived we informed the staff member that we were there for pickup since we placed one using Uber Eats. Our food was ready and we were out in no time. What was ordered: - Beef Kabob Plate with Hummus and Salad (very flavorful and so good. Beef was juicy and the hummus was creamy) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This definitely hit the spot. The food was yummy and exactly what I was looking for. You want kabobs? This is the place for them. Credit cards are accepted.

I was introduced to this Mediterranean place and the food was pretty standard but good. I ordered the 2 meat combo (chicken and gyro) and their rice was so fluffy and seasoned, I wanna know what kinda rice they use. Street parking and the location can be easy to miss.

The flavors on the rice, chicken, and hummus that I got were decent, and worth the price, but definitely not the best that I've ever had. The salad dressing was a bit different and hard to stomach, but not terrible and it is nice that you get a salad with every plate order. This mediterranean spot is more of a casual on the go type of place. The food was okay. I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food spots and this place just didn't do it for me. The quality of the food was okay, and it just lacked a lot of flavor, it pretty much lacked flavor on all the food. Usually plates come with hummus and they said it an extra charge instead of automatically coming with it. The staff was very pleasant and no complaints with the service. It's not a bad place to go for something quick and fulfilling. I just prefer more taste when it comes to Mediterranean.

It's thicker than your typical wrap, warm and pillowy with a flavor that stands on its own. You could honestly enjoy it plain, but dipping it into their hummus takes it to another level. The hummus is smooth, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor without being overwhelming. The salad brings the perfect contrast--fresh, crunchy, and bright without being overly tangy. It balances out the richer dishes beautifully. The rice deserves its own shoutout too: fluffy, fragrant, and generously garlicky in the best way possible. Every bite is packed with flavor. As for the proteins, the filet mignon is unbelievably tender--truly buttery soft and seasoned just right. The beef lule is just as impressive: juicy, savory, and cooked perfectly. You can tell care goes into every component on the plate. From top to bottom, everything tastes fresh, intentional, and satisfying. Don't let the humble exterior fool you--this place is easily five stars and absolutely worth coming back for.
