Update: Finally decided to try their restaurant with a big group - we were always more than 10 lol. Place was easy to find, lots of street parking, there is parking in the back but a bit tight. Of all else fails, there is a lot close to the restaurant. I believe its ok to park there. Food is consistently good! I had already mentioned this in my previous review so no surprise there. Service - very warm, welcoming, its as if we've known each other for years! We loved it so much that we have been coming here several times now. It's becoming our go to Middle Eastern place and we never get tired of it. We are in fact having dinner tonight with a other large group of 20 people. From the moment, my family sat down the people here felt like family, even though it was our first time there. When Sahag came by to take our order, he taught my toddler how to fist bump. When one of the dishes I ordered specifically for my kid arrived, I was worried it was going to be spicy based on the color. Gosh where do I start? The restaurant is in a charming craftsman house. It was a nice night so we sat outside. I forgot our server's name but he was helpful with suggestions and super nice. Had dinner here on a Friday night. We ordered sodas, the baba ganoush, the kebab combo and the montee. The montee arrived first. Never had this dish before. The beef is really nicely seasoned and nice combination with the dough. Liked the garlic sauce as well. After a while the kebab combo arrived. Of the three meats I liked the chicken best. The baba ganoush was excellent, one of the best ones I had. Portion size is also generous, unfortunately we couldn't finish all of it. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great food and service. Seems to be a family place. I think it was the owner who waited on us. Younger guy with his son as a helper! If you want to support a local business and get solid food, this is a wonderful choice. The iced tea is on point and house made chili paste is a must. The Khachapuri (cheese and egg bread) is great. Mom and pop spot that was quiet on a Saturday. They have plenty of patio seating which I could see being nice for evenings in the summer. They have delicious Mediterranean food! My first time here. I came from Upland to try it out. I'm glad I did. We had the sweetest waitress, who was very attentive. I had a few dishes. I had Muhammara, which was breadcrumbs mixed with pomegranate molasses, pepper paste, and Aleppo pepper drizzled with olive oil and garnished with walnuts. After I ran out of pita, I started eating this by the spoonful. I had the garlic chicken, which was fantastic. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also had the Mediterranean lentils. Zephyr is a hidden spot in Pasadena. It has a large side area for hookah, and a housekike indoor area with rooms for privacy. Zephyrs service is good, with hookah and food being delivered quickly. I had a parking incident in the front where another customer hit my car, and the response from the owner was subpar. I could barely get help finding the person. Even then I felt treated with disrespect. Go for the hookah, and hang out. Probably not a good idea to drive there. read more

The grilled peppers were spiiiiccyyyy so beware, it adds an additional layer of flavor. The hummus was so smooth and creamy, pairing well with the pita. Garlic fries were freshly seasoned with a lemon garlicky zest, topped with parsley. Amazing. Service: Over the top. Everyone was so kind and their attention to detail is what brings people back. Very different than my first time in today's visit. I was extremely dissatisfied in the service today. The only waitress for a Friday night was not sufficient. She was rushed and not helpful in suggesting or recommending for the menu. Took a long time to let me know the stew was not available- when she brought my friend's plate, she let me know there was no more stew. We shared his Mujerete - We did not know this dish was cold. We wanted hot- she took it to warm it up. Upon her return she told us this was to be eaten with a salad. What? The "pickles" were brought late and there were spicy. She just placed them on the table rushed. The entree was disappointing. However, the appetizers were the only good yummy plates, hummus and kibbe - I will return because my first visit one of the young owner was there to recommend and service was excellent. Very few restaurants have made me excited to leave a review. I won't name the other ones out of respect for Zephyr. My friend and I came on a weekday evening. Parking can be difficult as they do not have their own lot and street parking is timed for two hours max. However, you will be able to find parking in the neighborhood if you can stomach walking. Trust me, it's better than gambling with a street spot. The ambience: Dining is primarily held outdoors. Food is ordered either at the counter or at the table of your choosing. The decor is reminiscent of a restaurant by the beach with its outdoor setting. There is a second section dedicated private dining (I think) and it's underneath a tent and has a large tv. Food: We had the steak kebab and kofta. Both came with a generous amount of buttered seasoned rice, a grilled jalapeño, flatbread, and shredded onions. Flavor was better than most Mediterranean places that I've been to. We were impressed. Service: We arrived around 7:00PM and there was no one before us. We learned that just before, the restaurant (and the block) had experienced a blackout and had to turn away guests until it was fixed. We were very lucky to have come in right when the power surge ended. The lady at the cash register was nice and helpful with the menu. She stopped by to chat with us and we had a fun conversation about nail art. Definitely coming back to try more dishes. Stopped by last Saturday for lunch and it was fairly quiet. Street parking only so tad of a pain on this part of Colorado. Some indoor seating but it's mainly outdoors. We ordered tikkeh kebab (filet mignon) plate and it was delicious. Meat very tender and flavorful and the grilled pepper went so well with it. The rice was a tad too soggy but all the elements on the plate made for a very satisfying meal. The hummus was very mild in flavor but very smooth texture. I also ordered a side of shrimp and it was well seasoned with the right char to it. However, the surprise for me was the tongue press sandwich. Bread was toasted perfectly. The tongue was very soft but still held on to the right consistency for the sandwich. The spread and pickled veggie (I believe it was cucumber) really tied everything together. If you don't typically eat sandwiches you might only be slightly intrigued but if you do like sandwiched this is one to try. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes. 3.5-4 stars. Ordered food to go and the wait was about 40 min. They have a lot of interesting dishes on their menu. Tongue sandwich was pretty unique. Their Kebob combo plate was decent with some distinctive spices and the meats were tender. Lamb chop was delicious. Didn't enjoy the garlic fries though. I always make sure to come to Zephyr Mediterranean Grill for lunch when I need to wash my car at the nearby Fast5Xpress that is across the street! The outdoor patio is a great spot to enjoy the Pasadena weather while listening to the birds serenading you! They have outdoor tents to save you from a sunny hot day! I always get their Kabab Combo Plate because they give you the best of all worlds! Who doesn't love chicken & Steak?!!! I also suggest the Lamb Chops, Beef Lule Bebab and don't ever forget to get the Tabouli and Hummus as an add on!
