We went with the tikka masala and the fungi lama. The wait wasnt very long, and we did ask for a water, which they have in water bottles and the staff offered a bottle on the house. I went here twice in the last week after not going since 2022. I'm glad I started coming back again. I forgot how special this place is. Carlos is kind and precise with the pizzas he is whipping up. The Habibi pie is amazing. The crust is one of a kind and should be experienced once at least in your lifetime. Unlike some other pizza shops, The pies are filling but won't leave feeling bloated. This place is such a wonderful gem in Pasadena. We went for the first time and were greeted by the chef who told us about his recommended pizza choices. He even gave us free soda. We had the tikka masala and fungi pizzas. Both were so delicious. The wood fire char was perfect and crust was so crispy. We will definitely be back to try more of the different flavor combinations. Ordered a few different pies to try: the Moroccan, the Habibi, the Honey, Let's Date!, and the BumbleBEE Sting. The Moroccan had a ton of depth and spice to it. Really unique flavors that you don't see on pizza often, and everything balanced together better than you'd expect. The Habibi was another standout, bold and savory with layers of flavor that kept every bite interesting. Honey, Let's Date! was easily the surprise for me. That sweet and savory mix worked way better than I thought it would, and it didn't feel gimmicky at all. Just creative and well executed. The BumbleBEE Sting brought the heat and sweetness together in a fun way, definitely one of those pizzas you remember after you leave. The place has a lively, welcoming vibe, and you can tell they take pride in what they're doing. Staff was friendly, service was smooth, and everything came out fresh. However it took a long time to get the pizzas but understandably so, because there was only one person working. He gave us the Moroccan by accident but ended up eating it anyway and told us it will be free. That was very nice of him. This isn't your standard pizza stop. This pizza spot easily became one of my favorites! Being just a few blocks away makes it even better. You definitely won't find your typical pizzas here. Every pizza is so unique and packed with flavors inspired by different places around the world. I've tried the Bumblebee Sting, Bulgogi, Dubai, Istanbul, Habibi, and my absolute favorite so far, the Tikka Masala pizza! Every one I've tried has been so different, but the Tikka Masala is definitely the one I keep coming back to. We are moving out of Pasadena, and last night decided to indulge at our favorite local restaurants before the move. I ordered the Guru (vegetarian) and my husband got the meat version. After we finished eating, we both expressed that we would miss being close to this place. I can't even tell you how many times we have ordered pizza from here over the years. Their pizza menu is large and exciting with options for meat eaters and vegetarians a like. I am always hesitant to try less traditional pizza toppings. However, the flavor combinations here are expertly executed and balanced. The Guru is a vegetarian version of their Tikka Masala. Sapori Di 786 Degrees Chef Pizzaiolo The truth is that Ali Haider was part of a group of pizza cooks who got a record for the world longest pizza. Nothing more than a stupid stunt and he used that record to promote his business. That record has nothing to do with his business. This review is for the Pasadena Location and will be listed in bullet points so you can get through this reading quickly: 1. Place is dirty and all outside tables are uncleaned. 2. All outside plants are DEAD and beetles and other bugs all crawling around outside. 3. One man to run the whole operation 4. While the crust is on point, the pizza is a disappointment. Sauce is bland and toppings are sparse. Their fungi pizza had like 0 mushrooms on it and a ton of truffle oil. It was an oily mess of a pizza and overpowered with truffle flavor. The other pizza was the Portnoy and while the crust was even better than the fungi, it too was a disappointment. For a good fungi pizza, you have to try Pitfire Pizza in Pasadena or Nancy Silverton's Triple Beam pizza. Those two pies are on point. Triple beam a bit pricy but it's always good. For a New York style, it's' gotta be Pizza wagon of Brooklyn in Sherman Oaks or Mulberry Street in Beverly Hills. Although we acknowledged that the menu said that this pizza won an award, it was a little pricy and small for sharing. I think I wouldn't have felt full if I didn't have a soda. Also, the crust was a little too thin for my liking. Next time, I think it would be better to buy two pizzas or have a party of three visit. The most unique pizza place I have ever been to. Each pizza is inspired by a different country, and features the best flavors from that country. They really make pizzas intentional. Unexpected gem! We stumbled across this pizza spot and were pleasantly surprised. Mir, our server, was incredibly kind and walked us through the whole menu. We ended up trying the tikka masala pizza, and wow, it was so delicious. The sauce had great flavor, but the real standout for me was the dough. I'm not saying it was bad, it was just OK, lots of crust around the edges. I was there on Valentine's Day, This Pasadena place was empty, nobody was eating at any tables, while the Italian restaurant next to it was doing a good deal of business on their patio. For around $25 plus tip for a 12" pizza, did not earn the 4.8 stars. And to even ask for a tip on a takeout order? There's 8 slices, so two slices had no shrimp or mushroom. Barely any cheese or sauce. Crust super thin, yet super soft. Held up slice and it bent over like a noodle. I read reviews where the owner might chastise people for doing takeout, but I'm glad I did not experience that.
