It's Sunday, watching football and eating pizza with my buddy Bob is par for the course. So we went to Domenicos. I've been coming to the this original location for at least 50 years. As the years before their pizza is delicious! The service at the counter was fast , and with a smile. That always sets the tone . It's been a minute since I've been here because of the Eaton fire. Not to worry the pizza is fantastic and the sit down part of the restaurant is open for business as well 11-4 . Family owned and always great food If you are in Pasadena, definitely Recommended

This place is actually pretty good. I placed an order on the phone and it was quoted 15 minute wait time. I got two pieces of garlic bread with little bit of cheese and pasta with chicken and vegetables with marinara sauce. You are able to customise the pasta and sauce you'd like which is so great. The ambiance is quite nice.

The place is located on the corner of Washington Blvd. It has a small dining room and a pick up location. We ordered carry out and our order was completed in less than 20 mins. The service was quick and friendly. We couldn't decide which sub we wanted so we ordered two- meatball and roast beef - they ate large subs and so we cut them into thirds to try as well as the fried zucchini. The meatballs were covered with marinara and served in a toasted roll- it was good. The roast beef was tender, tasty and topped with cheese, mushrooms and onions. This was my favorite one. It went well with the slices of friend zucchini dipped in marinara. This meal was a bargain when you divide it three ways because it is enough for three!

Bummer! Dine in ends at 4pm on Sat!

Unfortunately, hours weren't updated to Yelp - yet. Hopefully my pic will help someone else. Review shouldn't reflect business, but in order to post hours publicly, Yelp requested a review. So this is just based on not being able to dine in at 6:30 on a Saturday. Best of luck! We will try again in the future. I think pick up is available, but Hubs wanted to sit down for his "pie".

Like my previous review stated I've been a customer since the 90's- My daughter is visiting from the Bay Area and we planned to have dinner here- when we arrived, it was closed - we were 18 min late. We decided to order food at the takeout side but couldn't find somewhere to go eat it- it's raining- We live far and too wet to go to a park. Luckily I recognized a regular employee there - she greeted me and I mentioned our problem and asked if there was any way we could possibly use one of their tables- without hesitation she said hold on a min- came back and literally opened the restaurant for us- there were 7 of us. Treated us like VIP (as always) served us, didn't rush at all.. I love the ambience and how they treat you like family.. the food is as delicious as it has always been... Thank you Domenicos for your delicious food and hospitality.

Amazing value. The portions were big enough to take home and eat two more "leftover" meals. Would definitely return.

Ask the Community - Domenico's Italian Restaurant

When will the dining room open? I live way too far to get pick-up.

Dining room is open from 11-4pm only! Hope to see you soon. 😊

Is your dining room open? It was closed as of November 8.

It's now open from like 11am-4pm!

Plan to visit you on Sunday the 6th for my wife's birthday, do you recommend a family meal/feast for a party of 12?

All of our family meals are for a family of 4. Depends how much everyone eats.

Where s the Dine in menu?

Same place, just next door.

Is there any other locations in Cali?

The Domenico's Italian Restaurant in Pasadena is one-of-a-kind- molto bene! That said, there is a Domenico's Jr., in Glendora which will NOT disappoint you- good food. It is owned by a Bitonti. Then there is a Domenico's Italian Kitchen in Beaumont…

Is this Domenico's affiliated with the Domenico's in Monrovia off of Huntington and the Domenico's express off of Myrtle in Monrovia too?

Unfortunately it was sold out of the family about 12 years ago and has no affiliation with the original Domenicos on Washington Blvd.

I also don't like their chicken or chashu any longer and I always go with the tofu. Typical order for me is a Bold Ramen, Non-Gluten free, Go Green, Garlic's Best Friend, Give it a kick, with a flavored egg. If I'm extra hungry I will add extra noodles but their other appetizers such as their fried rice have never really wowed me, but hey, not for me. One thing that I do not get even though I am rating five stars is why they serve extra noodles immediately with your bowl of ramen. By the time you're done with your first portion of noodles, the second portion is a noodle brick that you have to pry apart in your bowl with your chopsticks. Ramen Tatsunoya handles "kaedama" wayyyyy better in the respect that it's to order and they bring it out almost instantly after you order it with extra green onions, wood ear mushrooms, etc. Tatsu definitely has the ability to pump out a bowl of ramen fast - so I know they could do this too with just a little extra care between front of house and back of house staff. Please consider it. Your customers ordering extra noodles will immediately notice a quality difference getting to eat fresh noodles!

It was such an unforgettable and refreshing experience. Chef Anita has such a vision. Every detail was well thought of, from the outdoor patio dining surrounded by olive bushes to the indoor wooden and oak touches with Fairouz playing overhead. What's even better is EVERY single dish is labelled clearly for allergy diners! AHHHH as a nut allergy girly this had me geekin. All the celiac diners can enjoy their dining experience without any triggering fears as well. I went with their famous Lebanese egg pie and my friend got the grilled salmon plate. We shared the ful mudammas, my fave dish. The gluten-free pita bread def changed my brain wiring. I don't enjoy gluten-free food, and I was drooling. The pita was pillow soft, like how do you do that? Magic, I tell you. The egg pie was SO special. Pillow soft as well and super filling. The flavors of every dish were legendary. We couldn't stop talking about the colors, the plating, the top tier service. Everything about Levant deserves to be raved about. Come one come all. Def coming to Levant next time I'm in Echo Park.

We arrived midday on a Sunday and we're promptly sat, having been given the option for patio or indoor. We chose the patio, and between the clematis, lantana, and olive trees it is a very lovely setting in which to enjoy a meal. We were promptly brought a bottle of cold water and glasses, and our beverage orders were taken. I had a honey lavender latte with oat milk, and my husband had Lebanese coffee (no milk no sugar.) my latte was fragrant, the perfect temperature, and just the right amount of sweet. The Lebanese coffee was smooth, floral without being perfume, and excellent. We started with the falafel and the batata harra. Both absolutely excellent. For our entrees we selected the shakshuka and the Lebanese egg pie. Both were also excellent. Everything was well cooked, well presented, flavorful without being overwhelmed by any component. We took home a baklava tart, because we simply did not have the ability to eat more at the table. It was tender, moist, not too sweet, the pistachio flavor coming through as nutty and grassy, seriously so good! And it's worth noting, this whole restaurant is gluten free. I would not have realised if I had not known ahead of time. The texture of the pita with the shakshuka was exactly what one would expect, as was the bread of the egg pie. The pastry of the tart was flakey and delicious. And having said all of that, the service is what puts it above and beyond. Everyone was warm and pleasant, and seemed to genuinely appreciate the compliments. Staff seemed like they liked their jobs, which for me is always a good sign.

The service was great! The server was very nice and brought me a bag, taking my dishes once I was finished. The vibe was nice and had a lot of nice chatting. If you like a more chatty environment, I would recommend. Overall, this was a great experience! I kind of wish they had a sweet option for their open-face bagels but the vast pastry selection made up for it! It helps with that sweet craving :)

The novel pairings of ingredients in their inventive menu feel both like comfort food and like a new adventure for your palette. Favorites include the avocado, black bean, and sweet potato quesadilla; the pesto grain bowl with quinoa and black rice; and especially the "green eggs" bowl (with a side of marinated feta)! Highlights include the marinated feta, an herbaceous and tangy cheese you can add to any dish, and the rich and hearty house-made seedy bread -- crispy toasted edges and soft, almost nutty interior. All of the pastries and sweets hit the spot, especially the cookies and oat & fruit bars. The spiced lattes and chais taste elegant and nuanced, and make you want to sip slowly to savor them. They have a lot of interesting breakfast and lunch options, it was so hard for me to pick what to try because they all looked delicious. We ended up ordering the Purple Eggs, English muffin with sausage, egg and cheese, an Americano and a latte. We got a table inside with ease and admired their dried flower decor as we waited for the food. The food and drinks came quickly and looked great. The purple eggs were really tasty, and looked so bright and beautifully put together. The eggs were poached perfectly and tasted wonderful with the smashed purple potato and salad below. It was a nice balance of flavours, the creamy sauce and potato with runny yolk against the more citrusy salad and sweet beets made a great bite. My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, but the English muffin was different than what he expected and he would've rather have had the sandwich without the sausage patty. The muffin looked to have more whole grains, the structure and flavour was good. It was a bit dry paired against the lean bison sausage. He did love the eggs and melty cheese and said the eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee was good and paired nicely with the meal. We had a great time overall at Amara and would definitely come back to try their other dishes and baked goods.
