    Chicken Street Taco.
    Eric H.

I needed a crunchy taco, and Bobby's Place does tacos. This is a big spot with plenty of tables and the service is friendly and helpful. I ordered the Crunchy Taco with ground beef, a Chicken Street Taco and a Bean & Cheese Burrito. All of it was tasty. My only issue is the salsa. While the roja salsa was ok, the creamy verde salsa was not to my taste. Unfortunately there are only two options (no Cholula, Tapatio, or even Tabasco). Oh well, there is a Ralph's next store, so despite that, the food was good and next time, I will try a burger. Bobby's Place is A'OK!

Our friends like going to Bobby's, we ordered burgers and chicken burritos. Burgers looked good and the burritos had good seasoning. Parking is located behind the building and is shared with a Chinese food restaurant and nail salon if you can't figure out how to park for it. Staff is friendly and helpful, they've got cool artwork on the walls. Fries were a little underdone in my option for smaller steak fries. And they needed to have fans going when hot. We opened the door to get a breeze.

    Delicious Ortega Burger

One of my coworkers recommended this spot for lunch. I'd had their breakfast tacos once before--they were tasty but on the small side. This time, I went for the Ortega Burger (sourdough bread, jalapeño sauce, Ortega chile, grilled onions, and cheese) and some fries. The burger was super good--the crispy sourdough bread and spicy chiles were a great combo. The fries were awesome too, and they really hooked it up--I had more than enough to share with my coworkers. Great spot for a quick burger/lunch. I can definitely see myself ordering this burger again. Plus, it was super easy to call in for a quick pickup!

I was in the area and wanting to eat breakfast so I came here. Luckily the place was not busy and was able to order food quickly and the wait time to be served was very short. I ordered their breakfast burrito with meat but did customize it by asking for them to not add ham to it. The burrito tasted amazing. To drink, I simply ordered a coffee

Double Ortega Burger French Fries Onion Rings Zucchini
    Carlos C.

Came in just before closing and enjoyed all the food! The guys were super nice, and recommended 1/2 onion rings and 1/2 zucchini. The double Ortega burger was on my list of things to try. They surprised me by bringing out some fries so I could try them! Everything is delish, but the star of the show is definitely the house beer batter on the rings and *especially* the zucchini. Not sure what kind of culinary chemistry is happening, but this is the best fried zucchini I've ever had. My words were "the batter on the zucchini HITS!!" They go so perfectly together. The batter is reminiscent of Burger Parlor in Fullerton (RIP). When the batter is crispy in some places but ultimately melts in your mouth, I'm all in. It's a very difficult thing to perfect. Have missed those rings and have never found an equal. Until now. But trust me on the zucchini!!! You get soft batter that smoothly transitions into the softness of the zucchini. Just exquisite. I'll be back for jalapeño fries and more of that zesty zucchini!

    Fried onions and zucchini

Burger cooked to order perfectly! Definitely try the onion rings a fried zucchini- they make their own batter, nice and light.

We ordered the chorizo potato burritos, and they were excellent. They were packed with flavor, generously sized, and my wife couldn't even finish hers. The salsas they served with them were delicious and really tied everything together. We ended up coming back another day to try the burgers, and they were just as impressive. Everything tasted fresh, the burgers were juicy, and the fries were perfectly crispy. This has easily become my new burger spot whenever I'm in the Pasadena area. The drive thru can get pretty busy during peak hours, but the staff works quickly, so the wait wasn't that bad. I love old school burger joints and the vibe from the outside. It has that classic local spot feel that makes the food taste even better. Definitely would come back!

My biggest complaint is the cleanliness, since there were quite a few flies flying around, with some even landing on the booths that I sat in. The booths also looked fairly dirty, which isn't really appetizing if you're planning to eat inside. Service - 10/10 The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. No complaints. Food - 7/10 Tops Special Burger - 6.5/10 Honestly, the burger was just okay. The presentation was nice, but everything else was pretty average. The pastrami had good flavor, although some pieces were oddly chewy. The beef patty also tasted like it had been frozen, which kind of just took away from the burger. Chili Cheese Tots - 7.5/10 The tater tots themselves were great, they were perfectly crisp and cooked well, but, the chili cheese was a bit underwhelming, since I could barely taste the chili. Overall - 7.6/10 (for dining in) the food is decent and id say that its an okay spot if you're looking for a quick bite, and they give fairly large portions. Other then that, I'd recommend using the drive-thru instead of dining in. It's way faster, and you won't have to deal with the cleanliness and long waits inside.

Today my wife had her usual burger and a root beer float. I wanted something different so I ordered their chicken pot pie. I thought I already reviewed the best burger in Pasadena!…read more On my first visit, a standard burger was $3.95. I forget what it is now-- $6??? As good as this burger is, it's still a deal. Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business. Street parking is available. Even though super burger is basically a corner burger stand with patio seating, the place is always clean. Super Burger is definitely a sure thing.
