Cup of life in each latte serving, breakfast for the soul! I enjoyed grabbing a cup of honey latte and turkey egg sandwich today at Copa Vida. Not only are their lattes beautiful, they are tasty with just the right amount of boldness. Their breakfast meals are served warm and fresh, and my sandwich was so good! One star off because my hubbie said he couldn't taste the sausage in his sausage burrito, but I personally enjoyed each bite and sip of my meal. The place is cute! Quaint little coffee shop with just enough seating. Service is friendly and quick. I would definitely be back. Brought life into my day with the perfect cup of latte!
I feel like it's rare nowadays to find a coffee shop that has actually good coffee + good seating. Copa Vida is a classic and for good reason! They have 2 units' worth of seating space so order at the counter and just find a space to sit. They'll call your name for you to pickup unless you order a food item. Americano ($4)-- Good espresso! It wasn't mine so not much to mention haha Latte ($5.5)-- Super smooth, good ratio of espresso to milk! It was just such a good classic latte. Not too milky and espresso was good not burnt/crazy acidic or anything. Mocha ($6.5)-- The mocha is real dark chocolate vs something like Hershey's syrup. You can definitely taste the difference! Good ratio of espresso and milk and I liked the dark chocolate! But if you're used to super sweet mochas then this isn't for you! Pretty reasonable prices for Pasadena no? Or am I just used to everything being expensive. But here the vibes are really nice. They have WiFi and outlets too so lots of people had a wfh set up. There's just so much seating and enough space in between where it doesn't feel cramped.

I met with a friend here on Thursday morning and enjoyed the food! Upon arrival, you order and take a seat with an assigned number. The girl taking our order was very sweet, but I must have missed the part when she said the drinks are picked up at the counter. When we received our food, we asked about the beverages - the waiter mentioned those are picked up at the counter. The barista was kind enough to remake the espresso shot for my friend since it had been sitting out for over 10+ minutes :) The food is tasty! We sat outside (perfect weather - overcast) and we shared an order of the avocado toast and the French toast plate. Good coffee, great portions with aligned price points. The inside is quite large, but it felt like something was missing... warmth/ decoration. Aside from that, Definitely recommend stopping by - I'm surprised I hadn't popped in sooner!
We ordered a vanilla latte as a pick me up. Service was friendly, but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out, 15 minutes. Not bad, but longer than expected. The shop wasn't completely crowded, but it warmed popular. The shop is spacious. Vanilla latte was pretty average, not too sweet. Espresso was smooth, nutty. Drink was slightly creamy. There is street parking and a parking garage nearby. Solid place to get a vanilla latte, but be prepared for a bit of a wait.
I was so lucky to find this place after searching relentlessly for a coffee shop with Wi-Fi in Pasadena. I went to the Starbucks on fair Oaks (only outdoor seating, no outlets), that really fun one on Raymond, and I walked around for about an hour before I found Copa Vida in downtown. They had amazing coffee, outlets, Wi-Fi, and really wonderful personalities. I loved their service and I definitely had to give them a shout out. Their patrons are just as friendly. I would come back here anytime, it's like a family with really good quality, service and food

We made our way through the Coffee Passport and unfortunately, Copa Vida was our least favorite. The service was a little off-putting and it was LOUD inside, both from people and music. It seemed like there were too many guests and not enough seats; people hovered trying to get the next table, which were really untidy (on and under). While we didn't get a ton to eat, it look a significant amount of time for it to come out. The coffee was okay, nothing to write home about.
There's both street and structure parking to get here. There can be a line but it moves fairly quick. After you order they'll call out your name. There's loads of seating here. The atmosphere is cozy and chill. The noise level was decent. It can be a nice place to study or meet up with a friend. The staff are nice and helpful. I got the seasonal hojicha latte. The latte was a bit hot at first but quickly cooled to a good drinking temperature. This latte was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet. I'd definitely return here again.

Came back here and brought some friends because of the burrito I had but wow the burrito completely changed. Got the sausage again but the potatoes weren't even crispy like last time- they were plain soft. The sausage was also MINIMAL. The insane decline in quality is very very disappointing.
I really loved this place. I think it's some of the best coffee I've had. The service, while they were busy probably with normal patrons, had added people for the Noah Kahan collab but they made it work. We got three lattes and a cortado. The lattes and matcha were perfect and I thought the cortado really showed me that their espresso was delightful. Bold and rich. The inside was spacious and had a fair amount of seating. Tucked in a corner spot parking was a little hard but such is Pasadena. Park a little away and enjoy the neighborhood and go for a walk.
Good location, good wifi, good coffee. Service is great, place is nice with plenty of tables. Music a bit too empowering and taking away from the nice vibe.

The End of an Era. Theyre closing tomorrow at noon and moving in about 2 weeks to a new building 2 blocks away. Will miss the view of Castle Green while sipping my latte. I was a young 30's when they opened and now a middle aged lady when they're moving. Will also miss the sunlight streaming in, people watching, and the beautiful ceilings. Thank you, historical building for holding my Copa Vida for more than a decade! Will miss you! read more
Copa Vida's humble beginnings started at this cozy café located on the corner of Raymond & Green Street. Now they have 6 locations and their own roasting facility. I stopped in here to pick up a coffee after getting a pastry from Wa-Iro next door. The darling barista greeted me with a smile. A Lavender Latte sounded enticing so I asked for one with almond milk to go. The roast of the brew was smooth with no indication of bitterness. I could taste the floral notes of lavender. It was the perfect pairing for my pastry. The café is spacious with a relaxed ambience. Menu offerings include breakfast fare in addition to soups, salads, & sandwiches. They have free wi-fi, which makes it ideal for work or studying. *Metered street parking or $1 90-mins parking in the structure across the street. read more

This is the best shop I know of. Energetic, friendly staff who know and care about their product, great cold brew, the atmosphere is alive but never overwhelming. And now their smash burger is the best local cheeseburger. read more

Recently came back and tried the chai tumeric or golden chai latte. Was tasty and iced was great for a hot day. Good spot to get a little work done with a whole second room giving lots of good seating. Been here a couple times to work and have always had a good experience. Just FYI, they close the bathroom around 30 minutes before closing. Probably because the staff cleaned it and didn't want to clean again but that was a little bit of a hassle. read more
I was in the area, and picked this place through the great ratings on YELP. I ordered online, and I'm glad I did - the place was packed and very busy. I got breakfast burritos and they were fantastic. Eggs were fluffy, it wasn't greasy and actually tasted healthy. I've had tons of breakfast burritos and these were top notch. Salsa was interesting, a bit sour, and not very hot. Highly recommended!! read more
You pay at the front, get a number, find a seat (luckily, this cafe has plenty of seating), and the servers will deliver your order to your table - IF you ordered food. For drinks, you wait for your name to be called at the counter. The breakfast burrito was super delicious and of all the things we ordered, the only thing worth getting. Coffee and matcha latte were fine, nothing noteworthy or particularly outstanding. We also got a French toast and it was tasty, but again, nothing to write home about. With so much competition in the area, this place falls short. read more
I love Copa Vida! It's been a minute since I've been here but it feels just as familiar as before. It's a great place to hunker down to study, read a book, or hang out with friends. :) I got the matcha latte, which comes hot or cold and with no, mid, or full sweetness. The chicken Caesar salad is also yummy and filling! There's a parking structure across the street that has a very minimal charge. Stopped in for a morning coffee , it was fairly busy on a Friday morning. I ordered a drip coffee and sat by the window . Nice open coffee shops , music was a little loud in the one side , but did notice thy had another room that was a little quieter. The only down side is no refills on drip coffee . read more

Im sorry Heather I hope you dont see this thank you for the drink ;(. I'm not the biggest coffee person but I can drink coffee for funsies. Maybe I'm not the best person to be reviewing coffee... FOOD: Iced Vanilla Latte - $6.25 (3/5) TBH this was not anything special. If anything, it tasted very watered down once the ice melted (i mean obviously tho idk?). This coffee alright at best. I feel like even tho im not the biggest coffee person, I can still tell if a coffee tastes different than others. This tasted like any other coffee to me with slight vanilla taste. VIBES: The service here was amazing. They had the chill laid back type of vibe and was very helpful. Parking was street parking or parking structure like any other restaruant in the Pasadena area. Inside had a nice vibey feel, perfect for a coffee chat or study session. Plenty of tables and lots of others also studying here. read more
Came here with my best friend on a beautiful Sunday morning. Got to spend time with my best friend and get my Pasadena Coffee Passport stamped. This place is located on the corner of Green St (one way street) & Raymond Ave. There is plenty of street parking, but if you aren't as lucky as I am then you may park at the School House parking garage located between Fair Oaks Ave & Raymond Ave on Greet St. This coffee shop is cute and quite spacious. We ordered: - Vanilla Latte w/ Oat Milk - Honey Latte w/ Oat Milk - Sausage Burrito Since we dinned in they gave us a number and we chose a seat to our liking. I heard my name and number being called out. I I figured since they gave us a number they were going to bring the drink and food to us. I ended up going to the counter to pick up the drinks but they were not labeled. They didn't tell me which one was which. My best friend and I tried our best to figure out our drinks since they basically tasted the same. We just ended up giving up and just drank it. The lattes were very delicious and the burrito as well. The arugula was surprisingly a nice touch and texture to it. Next time we come I'll know to have them specify the drinks. The staff here were very sweet, I will say. The one thing that did caught me off guard and gave me the ick of my experience here was at the end. I needed to use the restroom and the odor is terrible. I'm not sure if it's because it is an old building, but I could not stand the smell. read more
Copa vida in the historic old town Pasadena is a great brunch spot if you're in the area. We were actually recommended this place by another coffee shop down the street that quoted their breakfast being really good. The inside is very spacious with two different rooms that has plenty of seating. You order your food and coffee at the counter, retrieve your coffee from the bar but wait for your food at your seat. Service is fast paced so no long waits for your breakfast. I enjoy that there is a lot of seating & some outlets which makes working there very comfortable. I have had both the iced and hot vanilla latte, and they are both really good. I enjoyed the hot version for the nice little latte art and smoothness of the cream but iced is a good alternative for when you want something refreshing and sweet. The burrito is composed of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and an arugula salad which isn't my favorite but I tolerate it in the burrito. It comes with a little salsa that tastes more like tomato than actual salsa so not my favorite as well. The burrito itself is good as to where you don't need any condiments tho as that's my recommendation. Overall I enjoy everything about copa vida, however price is where I knocked off the point as both the burrito and coffee were expensive. But I can't ask for much leeway in the city of Pasadena and it definitely doesn't stop me from eating here ever so often. read more

Decided to try a pick-up order for breakfast today. Super quick at 8AM - took about 10 min for the order to be ready. Here's what we got; -Chorizo stuffed hash brown: I saw this and immediately thought "this wasn't worth $16" but then I tasted it and let me tell you..so light and airy yet crispy and flavorful. Totally worth it! Not overly greasy or salty. -Avocado toast - not my fave. The pickled onions were way too sour (and I usually LOVE pickled onions) and it was swimming underneath a bed of arugula (love arugula but it felt like I was eating a salad). The bread was also toasted way too hard (cutting the roof of your mouth kinda feel). -Chorizo burrito: solid, ordered without arugula and it was hearty and tasty without it being too heavy or greasy. Overall, not too bad but there was a lot of arugula on the menu (bonus though is that you can customize and just order without the arugula). Lots of street parking available at 8AM on Saturday. There's also a structure right on Green that's just a few steps away if you can't find street parking. read more

copa vida is a nice cafe with good food and coffee. the brisket lunch burrito was so good and refreshing. there were so many flavors with the pico de gallo, green sauce and brisket and the super crunchy hash browns added nice texture. the croque madame was also delicious but a little on the heavier side with a lot of sauce. the iced lavender latte was good but i wish it had a little stronger espresso flavor and less milky. read more
Copa Vida is ridiculously consistent with their coffee, pastries, and cleanliness. Their staff is chipper, cordial and very knowledgeable on everything cafe related. I love Copa Vida! Big shout out to Tiana, Daniel and Linda! Their baked goods are something to write home about! The family favorite is the iced cold brew and chocolate croissant which is aptly dubbed "The Linda Special" 10/10 across the board! read more
This place is all around amazing. Delicious coffee and food, plenty of seating and reliable wifi inside. The baristas are professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming, ready to assist you. I appreciate their veggie burrito bowl with egg, bell peppers, kale as I cannot have gluten or diary. Their hot lattes are absolutely yummy and I am able to bring in my own personal tumbler for use. Brisket burrito ($15) -- absolutely worth it. The egg and cheese melted together perfectly, a solid 10/10. The sauce adds a nice kick without being too spicy. Casual vibes and friendly service make it an easy spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Parking's not too bad -- there's a structure nearby (Schoolhouse Garage), just $1 for the first two hours. read more

I met a dear friend, Te-see, for coffee one morning, I really liked the layout of the cafe. There are three seating areas, it was busy with a good flow of customers coming and going, The menu has freshly made ingredients for their hot/cold drinks, baked goods, soups, salads, burritos, avocado toast, and Brekkie sandwiches on an oat milk bun. I ordered a latte with Pistachio milk (additional $1.50), I usually have oat milk, but this is the only place I know that has pistachio milk, It had a mild taste, not overwhelming or too strong, I would order it again. I also had a small banana bread with walnuts. There were about 3 employees, one was friendly, the other two not so much. It almost seemed like my order was forgotten as others who arrived after me received their order first. I didn't have a big or special order, must have been an off day. Note 1: They offer free WiFi service, I did notice a few customers enjoying their snacks and whirling away on their laptops. Note 2: Only metered street parking is available nearby, must have an App to pay. A parking structure is just across the street, I'm sure you will find a place to park. The overall business has a good menu with unique and fresh farm-to-table ingredients. read more
I happened to be working in the area & was looking for a quick & tasty coffee spot. I was able to walk right up to the register to order my drink, I ordered a seasonal latte, pumpkin spiced with regular milk (they did have other milk options.) It was perfectly sweetened, I didn't have to ask to reduce or add sweetness which I appreciated. Not too much ice either where it's gone in three sips. It was about $7 which is about standard in SoCal for coffee drinks but size was decent. I enjoyed it so much I went back the next day & ordered the lavender latte. Iced with regular milk. Also tasty. Doesn't have a weird artificial taste with some lavender drinks. Drinks came out pretty quick, so if you come on a break from work you should be in & out within 10-15 minutes. The cafe itself is cute for studying or meeting up for a chat, it's spacious with copious amounts of seating. I'll definitely be dropping my by anytime I have to work in the area. They accept Apple Pay & I did see an order ahead QR on the window after I had already left. read more
