They have 2 units' worth of seating space so order at the counter and just find a space to sit. They'll call your name for you to pickup unless you order a food item. Americano ($4)-- Good espresso! It wasn't mine so not much to mention haha Latte ($5.5)-- Super smooth, good ratio of espresso to milk! It was just such a good classic latte. Not too milky and espresso was good not burnt/crazy acidic or anything. Mocha ($6.5)-- The mocha is real dark chocolate vs something like Hershey's syrup. You can definitely taste the difference! Good ratio of espresso and milk and I liked the dark chocolate! But if you're used to super sweet mochas then this isn't for you! Pretty reasonable prices for Pasadena no? Or am I just used to everything being expensive. But here the vibes are really nice. They have WiFi and outlets too so lots of people had a wfh set up. I recently met up with couple friends for Sunday brunch and was surprised to see they've expanded into the space next door. The place was packed, and we were lucky enough to grab the last available table. I ordered the stacked pancake breakfast along with an iced matcha latte, which was refreshing after a workout class nearby. My husband chose the brisket lunch burrito. Our food took quite a while to arrive, close to 30 mins! But the staff was very apologetic and even brought us a complimentary muffin while we waited. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious. I swapped the bacon for tofu, and it made for a satisfying breakfast. However, my husband wasn't as impressed with his brisket burrito, saying it was a bit dry. Based on this visit, I'd recommend sticking with the breakfast items, pastries, and of course, the coffee. Copa Vida still makes a great cup of coffee! read more

I stopped in here to pick up a coffee after getting a pastry from Wa-Iro next door. The darling barista greeted me with a smile. A Lavender Latte sounded enticing so I asked for one with almond milk to go. The roast of the brew was smooth with no indication of bitterness. I could taste the floral notes of lavender. Not only are their lattes beautiful, they are tasty with just the right amount of boldness. Their breakfast meals are served warm and fresh, and my sandwich was so good! I met with a friend here on Thursday morning and enjoyed the food! Upon arrival, you order and take a seat with an assigned number. The girl taking our order was very sweet, but I must have missed the part when she said the drinks are picked up at the counter. We ordered: - Vanilla Latte w/ Oat Milk - Honey Latte w/ Oat Milk - Sausage Burrito Since we dinned in they gave us a number and we chose a seat to our liking. I heard my name and number being called out. I I figured since they gave us a number they were going to bring the drink and food to us. I ended up going to the counter to pick up the drinks but they were not labeled. They didn't tell me which one was which. My best friend and I tried our best to figure out our drinks since they basically tasted the same. We just ended up giving up and just drank it. The lattes were very delicious and the burrito as well. The arugula was surprisingly a nice touch and texture to it. Next time we come I'll know to have them specify the drinks. The staff here were very sweet, I will say. The one thing that did caught me off guard and gave me the ick of my experience here was at the end. I needed to use the restroom and the odor is terrible. Copa vida in the historic old town Pasadena is a great brunch spot if you're in the area. We were actually recommended this place by another coffee shop down the street that quoted their breakfast being really good. The inside is very spacious with two different rooms that has plenty of seating. You order your food and coffee at the counter, retrieve your coffee from the bar but wait for your food at your seat. Service is fast paced so no long waits for your breakfast. I enjoy that there is a lot of seating & some outlets which makes working there very comfortable. I have had both the iced and hot vanilla latte, and they are both really good. I enjoyed the hot version for the nice little latte art and smoothness of the cream but iced is a good alternative for when you want something refreshing and sweet. The burrito is composed of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and an arugula salad which isn't my favorite but I tolerate it in the burrito. It comes with a little salsa that tastes more like tomato than actual salsa so not my favorite as well. The burrito itself is good as to where you don't need any condiments tho as that's my recommendation. Overall I enjoy everything about copa vida, however price is where I knocked off the point as both the burrito and coffee were expensive. But I can't ask for much leeway in the city of Pasadena and it definitely doesn't stop me from eating here ever so often. read more

Decided to try a pick-up order for breakfast today. Super quick at 8AM - took about 10 min for the order to be ready. Here's what we got; -Chorizo stuffed hash brown: I saw this and immediately thought "this wasn't worth $16" but then I tasted it and let me tell you..so light and airy yet crispy and flavorful. Totally worth it! Not overly greasy or salty. -Avocado toast - not my fave. The pickled onions were way too sour (and I usually LOVE pickled onions) and it was swimming underneath a bed of arugula (love arugula but it felt like I was eating a salad). The bread was also toasted way too hard (cutting the roof of your mouth kinda feel). -Chorizo burrito: solid, ordered without arugula and it was hearty and tasty without it being too heavy or greasy. Overall, not too bad but there was a lot of arugula on the menu (bonus though is that you can customize and just order without the arugula). Lots of street parking available at 8AM on Saturday. There's also a structure right on Green that's just a few steps away if you can't find street parking. read more

They have wifi available, but I'm not too sure about outlets as I had charged my laptop beforehand. I ordered a blueberry muffin as a mid-afternoon pick me up and was pretty impressed! I ordered a latte with Pistachio milk (additional $1.50), I usually have oat milk, but this is the only place I know that has pistachio milk, It had a mild taste, not overwhelming or too strong, I would order it again. I also had a small banana bread with walnuts. There were about 3 employees, one was friendly, the other two not so much. It almost seemed like my order was forgotten as others who arrived after me received their order first. I didn't have a big or special order, must have been an off day. The food came out within 7 minutes of ordering! I ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese which came with a Jalapeno Cilantro Aioli and it was DIVINE. The meat was well marinated, and the different types of cheese used added a nice savory flavor. The sauce was SO SO good and the bread was nicely toasted and buttered. My friend got the Veggie Burrito! It was light, and had just the right amount of egg and other ingredients mixed into it. It tasted fresh, and was worth the price! I happened to be working in the area & was looking for a quick & tasty coffee spot. I was able to walk right up to the register to order my drink, I ordered a seasonal latte, pumpkin spiced with regular milk (they did have other milk options.) It was perfectly sweetened, I didn't have to ask to reduce or add sweetness which I appreciated. Not too much ice either where it's gone in three sips. It was about $7 which is about standard in SoCal for coffee drinks but size was decent. I enjoyed it so much I went back the next day & ordered the lavender latte. Iced with regular milk. Also tasty. Doesn't have a weird artificial taste with some lavender drinks. Drinks came out pretty quick, so if you come on a break from work you should be in & out within 10-15 minutes.
