Walked in and Nelly Furtado was playing, immediately knew I loved this place! The employee working was very kind, card declined and they let me pay in cash. The service was above and beyond my expectations! The seating is wonderful, you can see the lovely outdoors from any table! The food was absolutely amazing, the fruit was fresh and zesty, the pancakes were soft yet crisped, and the chorizo burrito had real chorizo and was absolutely delicious! On a recent visit to Los Angeles and specifically Pasadena, I found this gem of a cafe. I travel a lot for work and always like to find a good quality breakfast burrito. This place has lots of options for breakfast burritos. The barista was also able to make a specific coffee for me that wasn't on the menu. Staff were friendly and attentive. I even scored a complimentary cinnamon bun which was delicious. The salads looked good too. Will definitely be back. Relaxing vibe, light colours and fresh decor. Slightly underwhelming. The visit didn't start off on a great foot. I arrived at 7 when they opened and I stood at the front waiting, there were 2 workers in the back that saw me and didn't say anything. 7 minutes later someone comes up to the front door and unlocks it. I gather the staff that was already in the building are not front of house but seeing as how they saw me it would have been courteous to acknowledge me and let me know the opener should be arriving shortly. I was picking up a Too Good To Go bag which was a good value, I received a sandwich, croissant, and one other pastry. Since I was there I ordered a hot matcha tea. I was disappointed to see him merely pour hot water into a paper cup and add matcha without the traditional whisking. That resulted in a not very smooth matcha. I will say they have a really cute space and what looks like some other really good items on their menu so it's a toss up if I would come back. The focaccia was not to my liking, the bread was ok. But the olives had a strange taste to them and while I like spice there was a strange spiciness to it that didn't pair well with the flavors. The sandwich I got was decent, it reminded me of a school lunch which was kind of nostalgic. I beefed it up with a few home ingredients which made it better but I will say I really loved the ciabatta they use. Such a cool find! We were initially going for lunch but they had a breakfast burrito special that was too hard to resist! Their American Breakfast was absolutely stacked to the max with protein, eggs, and it even came with pancakes! I tried their bacon burrito and it wasn't greasy at all. We were actually going to go grab some ice cream in downtown Pasadena after hanging out at the convention center for Cat Con but after walking past by, we saw that they had a pretty decent lunch special deal and we wanted to grab it within the last 30-40 or so minutes before they closed. Yay for spontaneous adventures! Service was friendly and they were accommodating to people even if they were entering in the last 5 minutes. As this place also doubles as a bakery though, just know that some things are sold out towards the end of the day or cannot be feasibly concocted for you for take out without disgustingly extending their hours. But that's just common sense though, right? Hopefully. Either way, the restaurant is quite cute and has a little bit of fancy flair to it. I can see it being a great place to grab a coffee and pastry or to have a fancy brunch to catch up with someone. Or if you just want to sit back and relax or catch up on some work or studying. It's refreshing mix of wood, brick, and greenery. For the lunch special that drew us in, we got the: Armenian Breakfast. Pretty unique as you can get either the standard American breakfast, or you can be more adventurous and get French, English (complete with baked beans), or the Armenian like we did. The Armenian Breakfast we got included: a choice of 2 eggs (we got over easy, feta cheese, Armenian gata (an Armenian sweet bread pastry), their homemade bread, green salad with vinaigrette, potato wedges, and a coffee. Boyfriend got the iced coffee no sugar and it helped him wake up from the midafternoon sleepies. Pretty sizeable dish and easily shareable if you want to eat something else in downtown a bit later. Bread was delicious and went great dipping into the egg yolk. The gata was a bit dry, but I'm sure you're supposed to enjoy this with the coffee. I'm a sucker for potatoes so I just snacked on these throughout the entire meal. You can never go wrong with breakfast and you can't go wrong with eating it here. read more

First things first let's talk about the welcoming I received from the young guy working....not a hello how are you nothing and no acknowledgment from the other lady that was working It was straight up What do you need? Indeed the stuff was just sitting there. I ordered two different boxes, a lunchbox and a sandwich box and I will say the best thing out of both of my boxes was the cinnamon roll. Damn good cinnamon roll must I say but let's talk about the salads. They gave me two salads one in each box of the same kind however one had absolutely no feta cheese and one had like a piece and half they were very very stingy with the feta. They gave me an Italian sandwich for the sandwich box, but for the other box, they gave me half of a super soggy veggie wrap and when I say veggie wrap I mean literally all lettuce and some tomatoes. It was very disappointing. No sauce on the side or anything. I'm just curious how a business like this is supposed to attract more customers when they offer items like that to people that have never even truly heard of their restaurant. Most customers on too good to go to genuinely trying new restaurants and not being cheap and getting a cheaper meal. We just want to try a new places so it was a little bit disappointing that they cut corners this bad to the people genuinely inquiring about the food here. read more

My veggie omelet was quite greasy, and the frozen hash brown was undercooked in the middle and tasted like old oil. Even the sausage felt like standard fast food. Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. The place is pretty small but cozy. We ordered at the counter and got the American dream breakfast, the waffle with eggs, salmon and avocado, a latte and an orange juice. Took a while for the food to come out, but you could tell it was freshly prepared. The American dream breakfast is huge ! The scrambled eggs were only meh, the bacon, potatoes and veggies were good and the pancakes were great. My wife really enjoyed her meal, especially the poached eggs. Happened upon this place through Too Good to Go which posted a selection of "Baked Goods" available for a 30-minute window right before closing time. In this case, it was a Saturday between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Distance-wise I wasn't too far away, but there was traffic on the local roads, and I had to look for parking. I gave the restaurant a call to let them know I was running late. Fortunately, they said they would stick around longer. Literally running after I found a spot to park, I arrived a little past 6:05pm, and from the outside peering in the interior was brightly lit with a classic, almost homely feel. A lady who had just walked out came back in when she noticed me. I told her I had just called, so she went into the kitchen. A few moments later, a man came out with a paper bag of the baked goods. After verifying the order on the app, I was on my way. I received a potato pie, a spinach & cheese pie, and a cheese puff pastry all of which were already down to room temperature. The potato pie was packed with mash and had a rich, buttery taste. The spinach & cheese pie was definitely cheesy in a good way which balanced well with the spinach.
