Lunch specials with drink
Masis Y.

It just got better and better as I walked in and ordered then eat and paid. All five star experience. I walked it a small beautiful and clean cafe in Pasadena . Fist impression it might be pricey. BUT ! Lunch specials and other plated even less pricy than most places I have been. Quality of food was homemade . Usually I don't use this term loosely. But here you can actually see the chef and she is making it fresh. I checked . Music was spot on for this type of Cafe . Service was out of this world and the guys working there very kind and knowledgeable. It's downtown Pasadena and parking is on you. All these for under 18$ ?????? HOW ??? Highly recommend for lunch or date . One of top tear places that deserves 6 star

Matcha and matcha pastry
Ria P.

Randomly decided to go into this place when we needed a quick snack and it was such a good new find. Would so go again and get a latte and work there. Anyways their matcha puff was very yummy! It wasn't too flaky, but it was airy and not overly sweetened so I really did like it. Would go back and try their actual meals that are on the menu.

Such a cool find! We were initially going for lunch but they had a breakfast burrito special that was too hard to resist! Their American Breakfast was absolutely stacked to the max with protein, eggs, and it even came with pancakes! I tried their bacon burrito and it wasn't greasy at all. The cheese blend worked very well with the eggs and potato and balanced out the bacon. The staff were really nice and patient with us. Definitely my next visit when I come back!

Slightly underwhelming. The visit didn't start off on a great foot. I arrived at 7 when they opened and I stood at the front waiting, there were 2 workers in the back that saw me and didn't say anything. 7 minutes later someone comes up to the front door and unlocks it. I gather the staff that was already in the building are not front of house but seeing as how they saw me it would have been courteous to acknowledge me and let me know the opener should be arriving shortly. I was picking up a Too Good To Go bag which was a good value, I received a sandwich, croissant, and one other pastry. Since I was there I ordered a hot matcha tea. I was disappointed to see him merely pour hot water into a paper cup and add matcha without the traditional whisking. That resulted in a not very smooth matcha. I will say they have a really cute space and what looks like some other really good items on their menu so it's a toss up if I would come back. The focaccia was not to my liking, the bread was ok. But the olives had a strange taste to them and while I like spice there was a strange spiciness to it that didn't pair well with the flavors. The sandwich I got was decent, it reminded me of a school lunch which was kind of nostalgic. I beefed it up with a few home ingredients which made it better but I will say I really loved the ciabatta they use. Overall they are average, if in the area I might stop in but wouldn't go out of my way

Avocado Toast and salad

A fantastic lunch experience here. It felt nice to sit outside on a relaxing Saturday in PasadenaAll the food was delicious but my highlight was the avocado toast with sunny side up eggs. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff including the owner who was so kind and treated us to a delicious dessert. Will be back very soon to try some more dishes from the packed menu.

Art Lunch is my go-to spot in Pasadena for a solid, healthy meal. Their menu is full of fresh vegetables and delicious lean protein options, and when I'm craving something sweet, their pastries are AMAZING. What makes Art Lunch special, though, is the people. Hakob, the owner, runs his business with genuine care and consideration for his customers--he always greets me when I walk in and takes the time to recognize familiar faces. Aro at the register is just as wonderful: always kind, welcoming, and a pleasure to catch up with. It really feels like a family here, and you sense it the moment you walk through the door.

The cafe is very cute and the staff is friendly, the food looked great, but missed the mark. My veggie omelet was quite greasy, and the frozen hash brown was undercooked in the middle and tasted like old oil. Even the sausage felt like standard fast food. My husband's food wasn't seasoned well either. We haven't tried their pastries, but they looked good--perhaps that's the safer bet. You order and pay (with tip) at the counter first.

American Dream Breakfast
Carmen A.

Absolutely divine. I'm not one to like sausage this way but my gosh were these tasty. The salad, silly as it may sound was my favorite. Potatoes were soft, yet flaky. The place has an uplifting vibe and staff is super friendly. Robert was fantastic! Highly recommend the American Dream breakfast.

The best lunch spot in Pasadena

Honestly I'm not one to post reviews, but I've recently came to this spot and I was so pleased, from the moment I walked in I was in awe with the amazing service. I would give them 10 stars if I can! Best food best atmosphere. Give them a try you won't regret it

This was incredible!! My family and I went here! We ordered the teriyaki chicken stir fry, the french breakfast, a chicken quesadilla, and croissant! It was so flavorful and obviously homemade! The workers are so kind and kept checking on us to make sure that everything was tasting great! It was very clean and so yummy! I will be here again! Make sure to try the Armenian Gata! It's delicious!

Amazing food. Great service So fresh

The waffles appear perfectly crisp on the outside while soft inside, and the combination of juicy fruit with silky chocolate creates that perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. The addition of macarons adds a lovely elegant touch. The bright pink drink is equally impressive -- refreshing, beautifully colored, and topped with fresh mint for a clean finish. It looks like the perfect companion to the decadent platter. Overall, this feels like a brunch experience that's both indulgent and elevated. Visually stunning, generously portioned, and irresistibly inviting. Would absolutely order again!

Too good to go ($6)

Hi Sara, There is plenty of street parking there as well as a municipal parking lot a block away, so parking is really never an issue.

Despite the sidewalk swell of hungry patrons, our party was swept into a booth with a speed that felt less like luck and more like a well-oiled logistical triumph. The aesthetic is a love letter to the mid-century diner: a curated "old school" charm that avoids the trap of kitsch, opting instead for a warm, lived-in nostalgia. It is the kind of room that feels as though it has been buffering the neighborhood's hangovers and triumphs for decades. The Service: A Masterclass in Restraint Our server possessed that rare, intuitive sense of timing--the "attentive ghost" who appears exactly as a coffee cup hits empty but vanishes before the conversation loses its momentum. In an era where "helicopter hospitality" can feel suffocating, the staff here maintains a refreshing brevity. We arrived with a picky eater. My toddler, will not eat if it's isn't familiar. So luckily the kitchen didn't falter, pivoting seamlessly to a bowl of jewel-toned strawberries that bought the table ten minutes of blissful silence. Enough time to scarf down my pancake. Delicate bacon and perfectly scrambled eggs. Russell's doesn't need to reinvent the breakfast wheel; it simply polishes it until it shines. It is a reliable anchor in a sea of over-conceptualized brunches. One doesn't merely eat here; one joins a rhythm. I'll be back for an encore.

The smoked salmon was perfect, the egg was super runny just how I like it, and the potatoes were the perfect portion--crispy and flavorful. It wasn't bad, but I expected more flavor. It ended up being my least favorite dish out of everything we ordered. For dessert, we got the toffee banana crepe with ube ice cream and wow... this was definitely the highlight. So good and we finished the whole thing. I would honestly come back just for this. Bravo Oh La La... à bientôt
