Stopped by here for lunch after checking out Olive Young. It was a quick walk there, but the blazing sun during the heat wave got us stressing lol. Thank god there's AC inside because it made the vibe a whole lot better. My girl got a veggie cheese sandwich and I got some pancakes. The food was good. The pancakes was thick and fluffy. It's an extra dollar for Maple Syrup. The sandwich tastes very refreshing and clean. You can tell they use fresh ingredients in their food. Gotta come back next time to try more food! read more

Really did not enjoy my experience at Art Lunch today. - no air conditioning - limited seating for parties larger than 2 - limited restrooms - my pancakes were raw in the middle - maple syrup is an added $2 - eggs were dry and rubbery I came with a party of 4 and it was very hot and uncomfortable inside. They don't have air conditioning and leave the door open in the hot summer. We each got an entree that was about $24.99 each. Maple syrup for the pancakes is an additional $2. But the pancakes without the syrup would have been difficult to eat. If you ask for syrup after you ordered, they give you table syrup. Berries did not seemed washed. You have to ask for ketchup, cutlery, water, pretty much everything. Servers are slow and not very friendly/warm. Portions are large but it's not good so that doesn't make up for much. read more

Visited art lunch today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. The menu has variety of options, it's diverse and inclusive. They also serve plenty of healthy options. People who work there are sweet and attentive, costumer service is on a different level. We were also treated with complimentary watermelon and blueberries. It just got better and better as I walked in and ordered then eat and paid. All five star experience. I walked it a small beautiful and clean cafe in Pasadena . Fist impression it might be pricey. BUT ! Lunch specials and other plated even less pricy than most places I have been. Quality of food was homemade . Usually I don't use this term loosely. But here you can actually see the chef and she is making it fresh. I checked . Music was spot on for this type of Cafe . Slightly underwhelming. The visit didn't start off on a great foot. I arrived at 7 when they opened and I stood at the front waiting, there were 2 workers in the back that saw me and didn't say anything. 7 minutes later someone comes up to the front door and unlocks it. I gather the staff that was already in the building are not front of house but seeing as how they saw me it would have been courteous to acknowledge me and let me know the opener should be arriving shortly. I was picking up a Too Good To Go bag which was a good value, I received a sandwich, croissant, and one other pastry. Since I was there I ordered a hot matcha tea. I was disappointed to see him merely pour hot water into a paper cup and add matcha without the traditional whisking. That resulted in a not very smooth matcha. I will say they have a really cute space and what looks like some other really good items on their menu so it's a toss up if I would come back. The focaccia was not to my liking, the bread was ok. But the olives had a strange taste to them and while I like spice there was a strange spiciness to it that didn't pair well with the flavors. The sandwich I got was decent, it reminded me of a school lunch which was kind of nostalgic. I beefed it up with a few home ingredients which made it better but I will say I really loved the ciabatta they use. Got a sandwich to go last weekend, with a side. The first thing I would have to say is the bread is very fresh I would have to assume they make it fresh on site. The way the bread cracks on the onside and softness on the inside, you know that it's fresh. The fillings, pretty typical of a deli sandwich. I got a turkey sandwich. The sandwich is a nice size at a good price. I got a greek salad on the side. This had really nice big chunks of tomato's, feta, cucumber, onion capers etc. it was very tasty. Since this place is located in old Pasadena, parking is going to be in garage and you'll will have to walk there. Such a cool find! We were initially going for lunch but they had a breakfast burrito special that was too hard to resist! Their American Breakfast was absolutely stacked to the max with protein, eggs, and it even came with pancakes! I tried their bacon burrito and it wasn't greasy at all. We found this place by chance by seeing an instagram advertisement by a YouTuber, the cafe is on Colorado street. Very clean and trendy. The food quality does not disappoint. We tried the Armenian omelette and omg it was awesome! Highly recommended! The drinks were great, the drip coffee was high quality. They have a good variety of pastries, macaroons and baklava. We were actually going to go grab some ice cream in downtown Pasadena after hanging out at the convention center for Cat Con but after walking past by, we saw that they had a pretty decent lunch special deal and we wanted to grab it within the last 30-40 or so minutes before they closed. Yay for spontaneous adventures! Service was friendly and they were accommodating to people even if they were entering in the last 5 minutes. As this place also doubles as a bakery though, just know that some things are sold out towards the end of the day or cannot be feasibly concocted for you for take out without disgustingly extending their hours. But that's just common sense though, right? Hopefully. Either way, the restaurant is quite cute and has a little bit of fancy flair to it. I can see it being a great place to grab a coffee and pastry or to have a fancy brunch to catch up with someone. Or if you just want to sit back and relax or catch up on some work or studying. It's refreshing mix of wood, brick, and greenery. For the lunch special that drew us in, we got the: Armenian Breakfast. Pretty unique as you can get either the standard American breakfast, or you can be more adventurous and get French, English (complete with baked beans), or the Armenian like we did. The Armenian Breakfast we got included: a choice of 2 eggs (we got over easy, feta cheese, Armenian gata (an Armenian sweet bread pastry), their homemade bread, green salad with vinaigrette, potato wedges, and a coffee. Boyfriend got the iced coffee no sugar and it helped him wake up from the midafternoon sleepies. Pretty sizeable dish and easily shareable if you want to eat something else in downtown a bit later. Bread was delicious and went great dipping into the egg yolk. The gata was a bit dry, but I'm sure you're supposed to enjoy this with the coffee. I'm a sucker for potatoes so I just snacked on these throughout the entire meal. You can never go wrong with breakfast and you can't go wrong with eating it here. read more

The service was above and beyond my expectations! The seating is wonderful, you can see the lovely outdoors from any table! First things first let's talk about the welcoming I received from the young guy working....not a hello how are you nothing and no acknowledgment from the other lady that was working It was straight up What do you need? I had mentioned that I had two, too good to go orders to pick up. Immediately He had them bagged which had me a little red flagged because was the stuff just sitting there? Indeed the stuff was just sitting there. I ordered two different boxes, a lunchbox and a sandwich box and I will say the best thing out of both of my boxes was the cinnamon roll. Damn good cinnamon roll must I say but let's talk about the salads. They gave me two salads one in each box of the same kind however one had absolutely no feta cheese and one had like a piece and half they were very very stingy with the feta. They gave me an Italian sandwich for the sandwich box, but for the other box, they gave me half of a super soggy veggie wrap and when I say veggie wrap I mean literally all lettuce and some tomatoes. It was very disappointing. No sauce on the side or anything. I'm just curious how a business like this is supposed to attract more customers when they offer items like that to people that have never even truly heard of their restaurant. Most customers on too good to go to genuinely trying new restaurants and not being cheap and getting a cheaper meal. We just want to try a new places so it was a little bit disappointing that they cut corners this bad to the people genuinely inquiring about the food here. read more
