Delizie Romane is located at 488 North Allen Avenue Pasadena, California 91106. It is a cute, authentic Italian Restaurant. Be prepared to practice your Italian! The staff is very friendly from the time that you walk in and approach the counter until the time that you are ready to leave. They make sure that you enjoy your time with them. Whether you're having just coffee and a pastry or a complete meal, everything is done to make you feel comfortable. As I walked to the counter through a number of tables and chairs in the dining area, I was greeted by a friendly staff member. I indicated that I wanted some help with the menu. She gave some descriptions of items that were available and they all sounded very good. I decided on a few of their popular items. Capriciousa Pizza Italian Sub made with focaccia Fresh made Tiramisu I have to admit I did not know what to expect. I was incredibly surprised as I unpacked my to-go order. The aroma from all the food made my kitchen smell very Italian. The pizza was amazing with olives, mushrooms, and artichokes and of course fresh mozzarella. The Italian sub was impressive. The fresh focaccia with the meats and cheese was a great combination. Great bite and chew. It also came with a great side salad. Fresh lettuce selection and tomatoes with some sliced onions. I came back sooner than I had planned because the food was so good and ordered the pizzetta and a side salad. The pizzetta is now my favorite item. Fresh Focaccia topped with tomato sauce and mushrooms, garlic, herbs and spices. The Tiramisu tasted as good as it looked. Moist and full of flavor. The chocolate topping satisfies that chocolate craving. This was a larger piece than I had expected. Nice neighborhood boutique businesses with parking available in a lot off of Villa Street. A great little shop with a very personable Italian staff. The fresh baked focaccia Italian sandwich had ample authentic ingredients and was delicious immediately and a day later. They're pretty riled up about the World Cup so don't bring that up. 5 well deserved stars. read more

I enjoy this place. I'm pretty sure that it's a family run business with dad and mom and sometimes daughter working. I really enjoy the lasagna and penne with meat sauce. They give you some homemade bread before you get the main meal. Very small place so if you have a relatively large party, you may want to call ahead. read more

I have one word for you: Nutella. As an official Nutella addict, I have never met any Nutella-filled item that I don't love. That being said, this family owned business had aa few Fab items to fuel my Nutella habit. I purchased every item with Nutella in the shop to get a feel for their offerings. This included a pretty tarte with Nutella center, a Bomballoni which, was freshly filled with Nutella at time of order, and cookies that can almost be described as a Nutella Oreo. This cute shop also sells savory offerings, but all of their Italian pastries are made fresh in-house. I will be a regular visitor here for sure! I'm satisfied ..2G2G issued a refund and acknowledged that what I received was below the advertised value. Also, I want to retract my earlier comment about their pastries being comparable to Costco's. Costco has fresh croissants & pastries that are definitely superior--theirs not so much! The pastries I received were dry, old and hard. If they were good, my rating would have changed. Of course, this is just my personal experience and taste. I honestly wish I can give them a better review. But being unorganized is a pet peeve of mine and not taking accountability or apologizing only blaming 2g2g. A restaurant has cancelled my order before if they didn't have enough food, wish they would've too, so I didn't have to drive in traffic. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they are still new. Honestly there were pasties still in the case, they could have made it right. So if they are saying their pastries are made fresh day of, I beg to differ, those are def getting sold the next day! False advertisement! I definitely didn't get $18 worth of baked goods! For anyone interested in their 2g2g orders, just don't, just know they over sell on that app. They had to split my order with another person. Because they only had enough for one order. I have been wanting to try Delizie Romane since it opened and finally got around to visiting. First of all, it's family owned and operated and the whole family is just the sweetest, customer-oriented folks I've encountered in the restaurant space as long as I can remember. They fresh bake and prepare all the menu items daily, and as I came in towards the end of the day, a few of the baked items were out of stock. But I'm thankful for the few items I got to take away and try. It felt like I was picking up food from my mama's kitchen... they were very generous with portions. Full disclosure - They threw in a couple of extra muffins and cheesecake as these would've otherwise gone to waste. They didn't have to do that, but I appreciate the generosity and acknowledging that the food isn't getting tossed. (It wasn't expired. They just like to serve food freshly made the day-of.) As for what I tried, - The marittozzi (a brioche filled with cream) were airy and light, delicious. They're also huge. - The pizzette tasted very fresh as well, with really aromatic focaccia with roesmary and just the right amount of tomato topping. I warmed them up in the oven for a few minutes, which helped revive them a bit (and now my whole place smells like rosemary hahaha). I bet if you came around lunchtime when they were just baked, they'd be served hot. - The italian cheesecake with mascarpone and a light berry jam topping was wonderful. It's not like the traditional tall, overwhelming cheesecake, but along with a cup of tea it really hit the spot for dessert. The perfect portion size. - I haven't tried the chocolate chip muffins yet but they look delicious. Next time I'd like to come try the cannoli with a cup of Italian caffe latte. Less than a half mile from my house!!! A real Italian bakery!! Since we lost Federico's, there's been no where to find this amazingness. We walked over for dinner and had pinsas (pizza on focaccia-style crusts) and paninis. They were made fresh to order and were absolutely delicious. We would have loved to have dessert but we got there a half hour before they closed and they were practically sold out of all pastries. Plus, we were full!! This place is adorable. Three of us split a salad, a pasta, and a pizza. The crust was really good on the pizza but I did not care for the sauce (veggie). The Carbonara was delicious, as was the very fresh basic salad. I loved the almonds on there. Dessert was of course tiramisu, and it was also amazing. WOW - this is some real deal Italian food! I got the capri sandwich and a cacio e Pepe suppli and some cookies to go. The suppli and sandwich were both soooooooo delicious!! The focaccia used in the sandwich was fresh baked, light and had the perfect crunchy exterior and super soft texture. There was pesto inside the sandwich and usually I don't love caprese style sandwiches but this one was really incredible and made with quality ingredients. The suppli was divine, it was moist and the cacio e Pepe sauce inside was really flavorful without being too rich. Suppli are very similar to arancini if you've never tried. We are so lucky to have this cafe here in Pasadena! I've tried the carbonara, puttanesca, sandwiches, foccacia, and fried zucchini blossom, and it's all been delicious. Their homemade bread is incredible and is the star of their amazing sandwiches. For fellow lovers of bittersweet Italian sodas, they stock chinotto here, as well a couple small bitter sodas! On top of how good the food is, the service is very warm and friendly. You can tell it's a family business run with a lot of love. I have driven right by this unassuming place so many times because it has had so many different businesses inhabiting it over the years. I actually looked at the sign today and saw that it was an Italian bakery and decided to stop in. So glad I did! Family owned Roman bakery with many different menu items that I had never heard of. I decided on the porchetta focaccia and pinsa quattro staggioni (like a pizza), suppli (like arancini) and tiramisu. The crust on the pinsa was really delicious and the olive oil taste really came through. The focaccia had a great taste and texture. The tiramisu was delicious as well! Overpriced and small potion for a local food joint. Do not order any of $5.50 fries. I ordered a potato fry w stuffed mozzarella and they gave me one tiny finger size fry. Also ordered zucchini fries and gave me fried cod instead by mistake but it was very soggy. All their fry orders are a single order and didnt specify and feel like i got ripped off. I can't rave enough about Delizie. My husband and I happened to walk by on February 7th which was their soft opening. We have been looking for an authentic Italian spot to sit and enjoy a cappuccino and bomba on a Saturday/Sunday morning. My husband is the son of Italian immigrants and sitting at the bar, listening to the owners speak to each other takes us back to lazy Saturday mornings in Rome. The moment the door opens, we hear Buon Giorno and immediately feel at home. The coffee is wonderful, the bomba are superb, and the food is just like my mother-in-law makes. I have not found a single thing on the menu that I don't love. We are so lucky to be able to walk here multiple times a week and always on the weekends. As soon as I saw maritozzi sold at this place I had to come try! My family and I used to live in Italy and i can't stand any 'pretend' overpriced Italian / bakery places. I ordered a few things to try , the flat bread/ pizza they made us was AMAZING they were generous on the prosciutto. Maritozzi was amazing. Espresso was good and I felt like I was back in Italy again , with the usual large cup of sugar packets I loved that they were family run and Italian!!!!!
