Came by at noon on Friday on a pleasant day to explore a local cafe! There was no wait and plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. It was my first time here and the barista was very friendly in explaining their menu and pastry selection. They have a new menu every season but since it was my first time here, I opted to go for a staff favorite, the Cinnamon Creamed Honey Latte (the other is the Brown Sugar Latte). I chose the Coconut Oatmeal Chai Cookie Sandwich for the novelty but I found that it was rather sweet for my taste. So for anyone interested in their cookie sandwiches, I definitely recommend getting a drink that's not sweet to balance out the flavors! Otherwise I'd absolutely come again to try out the rest of their menu. read more

I really wanted to love this place since I love to support local cafes, but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. Blueberry Lavender Latte - 4/5 The flavor was great, I could clearly taste both the blueberry and lavender without the drink being overly sweet, and the actual espresso shot was pulled nicely. The presentation was also really cute; the blueberry garnish, the pretty cup, and the latte art were all nice touches. My only complaint was the temperature. I ordered this drink hot, but it was lukewarm at best. Maybe the milk wasn't steamed enough? I stopped by early when there wasn't a crowd, so I feel like there isn't really a reason for the drink to be cold? Pasadena toast - 1/5 For $7, this felt like a very basic avocado toast I could easily make at home. Compared to the latte, the toast's flavor and presentation was super underwhelming. The jalapeños looked like they were just tossed on as an afterthought, and the bread wasn't toasted well. The image from the website menu shows a nicely seasoned toast with some pepper(?), pretty garnishes, and a fluffy spread of avocado, but mine didn't seem to have any visible seasoning, and the layer of avocado was fairly thin. Again, I'd understand if it was busy and the staff was in a rush to get orders out, but there wasn't a crowd at all (literally 2 people in line) and this toast was $7.. The space does have a cute area with artisan goods and merch, and there's free parking in the back lot and nearby streets. There's no wifi, but I get it since it prevents people from camping tables. I'll probably come back and give this place another try since the other reviews are positive, maybe this was just a one-off poor experience for me. read more

I will be the first to admit that I probably ordered wrong here, but I ordered the lavender lemonade. It was shocking that by the time I ordered my drink and paid for it, the drink was already done. So I grabbed my drink and made the assumption that it's Trader Joe's lemonade with a flavor shot. Not saying it's bad, but not worth the price. I was also disappointed to find out that there's no bathroom here (if there was, it wasn't obvious). With so many places around Pasadena, I'll probably skip this place if I had the choice read more

First sip of their amaretto orange latte sent Lavender and Honey right to the top for my California vacation espresso extravaganza! Only matched by Jones Coffee and Red Shift, this is one special spot doing the baristas of the world proud. We all enjoyed a quick Sunday morning take out but were confused why they did not have the other drinks ready but waited on everything for us to show up to begin the toast to ensure that was fresh. I love lavender and I love honey! The drinks are consistently delicious and pretty. I love that they have homemade syrups and really couldn't decide between the drinks on their seasonal lineup. Was originally heading to my go to matcha spot and saw this on the way. The name caught my attention so I decided to try a new place and I'm glad I did! FOOD/DRINKS 4.5/5 Apple Pie Matcha with oat milk 5/5 - it's a seasonal drink and it's nice and refreshing, smooth, and sweetened just the right amount. It's an easy drink to slow sip and enjoy. It is flavorful, perfectly sweetened, the perfect texture that's reminiscent of an oatmeal cream pie regarding the soft texture. It could literally just melt in your mouth. If you get it for here it comes in a glass jar, and for to go it is in plastic. Hannah was so kind, patient, and very helpful and informative. I didn't try their matcha with lavender and honey that they're known for because I wanted to get the seasonal drink, so I'll be back for the other one. AMBIANCE (loved it) Such a pretty and cutesy place. There's music playing and fairy lights, flowers, honey, and tea all about. They also had the cutest cups and mugs. It's a nice place to come and have lunch in a relaxed and friendly environment. (note: they don't have WiFi). HONORABLE MENTION I so very much loved that this location had a big designated parking lot literally on the side of the building. ALSO, I decide to have the gluten free version of the sandwich and the carrot whoopie pie and was BLOWN AWAY by how soft and moist the bread, and pie were. Apparently they get their pastries and bread fresh every morning from Rising Hearts. You can literally TASTE that they were made with love. So many wonderful things to say about my experience here. Inside the shop it's cozy, a nice place to catchup with friends, especially when it's raining. They have a variety of products from T-shirts to local vendors for pie fillings & chili oils. I wasn't sure what to order, then decided on the REAL PSL- (pumpkin spice latte) I must state a disclaimer (I'm not a real coffee drinker) so with that being said if you love coffee, this is the place for you! I love that L& H does not use any artificial ingredients and they use local vendors for their organic supply. Super friendly and helpful service. It was pretty busy when I got there but they tried to be quickly without rushing people. (I had some questions about some treats for relatives who are gluten free. I used to come here after a hike (before the fires) and it was always a pleasant treat after a stroll in nature. It is adorned with flowers everywhere. They have seating inside and outdoors. It can get pretty chilly inside, no matter what the time of year so I usually prefer to sit outside unless it's too hot by the time I get there or I have a sweater with me. Their menu is pretty straight-forward, they do have delicious pastries, sandwiches, and such. This last time I went it I grabbed an iced Honeybee Latte with whole milk. It was just sweet enough. I do wish the espresso was stronger but the honey made up for it. While I was there, there was people coming in and out nonstop. You can tell there are a lot of locals and regulars that visit. What a cute shop! Lavender breve was tasty but unfortunately way too sweet for my preference. Pretty decent chocolate croissant, but doesn't beat CAR. Had another pastry with a ricotta filling and dried berries, which I preferred since it was less sweet to contrast my drink. Employees were friendly and knew all their regular customers, even made recommendations to some. Not the best cafe to work in - no public wifi, didn't really see any outlets, and there were a lot of chatty groups mid-Monday morning. First of all, it's very cute in there. I went at about 11:45 am and made it just before the lunch crowd poured in. By the time I left, the line was out the door and I see why. It was my very first time being here and I ordered a very refreshing peach tea and a turkey avocado sandwich which siracha mayo. They said it's on country white bread but it looks like wheat to me, unless they ran out of white and didn't tell me lol. But that aside, everything was soooo fresh and crisp and delicious. And the sandwich was pretty sizable too. I also ordered a cinnamon roll, but I haven't tried it yet because I'm too full from the giant sandwich. I would've taken better pics but I didn't want to offend anyone in the shop. And I took my food to go, so sorry you get to see them in boxes. Just like the poetic cafe name suggests, this place really is refreshing and sweet. A quaint coffee shop with signature honey-infused lattes and mouthwatering selection of gourmet toast and outdoor seating on a beautiful sunny LA day - what more can you ask for? I've visited this cafe twice now and every time I meet up with a dear friend, we indulge in their lattes and toast. This time I tried the peach and honey toast - yummy! I only wish the toast slice was a little bigger so there is more to savor. Free on-site parking is available but limited. The baristas took their time making the food and lattes, which is worth the wait and the cashier was patient as my friend and I tried to narrow down our selection from a delicious sounding menu. It was good! The coffee was a bit too hot to immediately drink but manageable. I liked how they add bits of pistachio as well and not just simply a syrup pump. One of my favorite coffee places in Pasadena! Pretty busy with a packed lot at around 10am on a Friday. Inside there was a small line and lots to look at. The service was super friendly and positive! My favorite is the honeybee latte and right now they have a honey pistachio that I tried today and it was so good. It wasn't too sweet and had pieces of pistachio inside. I also ordered the potato chip pastrami sandwich which took awhile to be made. It was good too but I think a little too much mustard especially since it's already paired with pickled/brined onions. I think the potato chips would be better on the side because for it to be inside, it got really soggy quick and just kept falling everywhere. I would definitely go with the turkey chili crunch next time as it was more up my alley but I wanted to try something different. Im staying in the area and wanted a quaint coffee shop experience for my morning walk. This was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and even complimented the book I brought with me. I ordered a French Lavender Breve and PB Honey Banana Toast, and enjoyed every moment of it. Snacking in Pasadena, California... After breakfast, I thought I'd check out Lavender & Honey since it was literally right next door to the restaurant we had just patronized. My friend, Sam, suggested that I take a peek because I was there already. (I listen to her because she's super smart and usually right!) I had free parking around the corner from the front door of Lavender & Honey. Customers were outside, chatting and enjoying the outdoor seating. Inside, the place was packed! I just wanted to grab something and be on my way! I saw the cute honey bears (the containers are bears) and got one! I also got a croissant - wow! Such a flakey crust and airy interior! After we started having breakfast at Millie's, we came to lavender and honey to get some tea and coffee while we lesson planned. My coworkers got the tea, and I got their iced large salted caramel latte. Most places that I ordered their caramel latte, they usually come pretty watered down, but I love the flavor of my salted caramel latte from here. It smelled so good that my little dog Peanut kept trying to sniff it. This place is definitely small with limited amount of tables but definitely stop by for their coffees.
