This coffee shop was clean and customer service was amazing!! I love that they sell local honey and the jars are super cute! They also have a deli but we didn't get to try that as we were in a hurry. We ordered iced coffees: pistachio honey latte and teddy graham latte. These were delicious and perfectly balanced flavors, not too sweet and very coffee forward which we loved! We will definitely be back to try their other drinks and the deli! read more

It was one of these hot days and I was looking for some refreshing drinks. Fortunately,We were near by Lavendar & Honey. Of course, we stopped by it. I was glad to find out that there is an adjacent parking lot especially in this weather. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is limited. The cafe menu includes unique lattes, espresso bar, coffee, cold brew, tea, toast , sandwiches, salads bar, parfait, and kids menu. They also have fresh pastries. I ordered the following: - Picnic pastrami sandwich x2 4 /5 It had Pastrami, jack cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce on sourdough baguette. - Caprese sandwich x2 5/5 Mozzarella, tomato, basil , olive oil, balsamic glaze on Ciabatta. - Chocolate croissant 5/5 Was flaky, buttery and filled with chocolate. - Matcha ginger cranberry scone 5/5 Was very delicious - Mango coconut matcha 4/5 It was a refreshing drink. I love mango, so I wish I could taste more mango flavor in the drink - Iced teddy graham latte 5/5 It was a traditional latte sweetened with honey syrup, Heilala vanilla bean paste & cinnamon milk as it was described. It was very refreshing and delightful one! The flavors balanced perfectly and the sweetness was on point. The staff were nice. The place has welcoming vibes. We received our order very quickly. It's a nice place to stop by and enjoy a refreshing drink or grab a fresh pastry or a sandwich. read more

So happy to have stumbled across the coffee shop while I was in the area! I love honey, so I was ecstatic to see that they had honey-infused specialty coffees on the menu. The service was friendly and the interior was cute and cozy. It's a relatively small cafe, but there's both indoor and outdoor seating. I got the cinnamon creamed honey latte which was soo good! Although a bit too sweet for me, the honey and cinnamon flavors came through really nicely and the drink was so smooth and creamy. read more

I really wanted to love this place since I love to support local cafes, but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. Blueberry Lavender Latte - 4/5 The flavor was great, I could clearly taste both the blueberry and lavender without the drink being overly sweet, and the actual espresso shot was pulled nicely. The presentation was also really cute; the blueberry garnish, the pretty cup, and the latte art were all nice touches. My only complaint was the temperature. I ordered this drink hot, but it was lukewarm at best. Maybe the milk wasn't steamed enough? I stopped by early when there wasn't a crowd, so I feel like there isn't really a reason for the drink to be cold? Pasadena toast - 1/5 For $7, this felt like a very basic avocado toast I could easily make at home. Compared to the latte, the toast's flavor and presentation was super underwhelming. The jalapeños looked like they were just tossed on as an afterthought, and the bread wasn't toasted well. The image from the website menu shows a nicely seasoned toast with some pepper(?), pretty garnishes, and a fluffy spread of avocado, but mine didn't seem to have any visible seasoning, and the layer of avocado was fairly thin. Again, I'd understand if it was busy and the staff was in a rush to get orders out, but there wasn't a crowd at all (literally 2 people in line) and this toast was $7.. The space does have a cute area with artisan goods and merch, and there's free parking in the back lot and nearby streets. There's no wifi, but I get it since it prevents people from camping tables. I'll probably come back and give this place another try since the other reviews are positive, maybe this was just a one-off poor experience for me. read more

I will be the first to admit that I probably ordered wrong here, but I ordered the lavender lemonade. It was shocking that by the time I ordered my drink and paid for it, the drink was already done. So I grabbed my drink and made the assumption that it's Trader Joe's lemonade with a flavor shot. Not saying it's bad, but not worth the price. I was also disappointed to find out that there's no bathroom here (if there was, it wasn't obvious). With so many places around Pasadena, I'll probably skip this place if I had the choice read more

Came by at noon on Friday on a pleasant day to explore a local cafe! There was no wait and plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. It was my first time here and the barista was very friendly in explaining their menu and pastry selection. They have a new menu every season but since it was my first time here, I opted to go for a staff favorite, the Cinnamon Creamed Honey Latte (the other is the Brown Sugar Latte). I chose the Coconut Oatmeal Chai Cookie Sandwich for the novelty but I found that it was rather sweet for my taste. So for anyone interested in their cookie sandwiches, I definitely recommend getting a drink that's not sweet to balance out the flavors! Otherwise I'd absolutely come again to try out the rest of their menu. read more

I've heard really good things about this place and was looking forward to trying this place. Front door decor is super cute and the interior was very cozy. They had a patio for outdoor seating and a parking garage in the back. The menu is pretty extensive for both food and drinks but I ordered the cortado. My drink was about average and the staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. read more

I love lavender and I love honey! The drinks are consistently delicious and pretty. I love that they have homemade syrups and really couldn't decide between the drinks on their seasonal lineup. Hmmmm...pumpkin spice or fig cardamom or Cara Cara Orange Almond? Or even Apple Pie Matcha if you're in the tea mood! More of what I love are their fresh and delicious pastries. The service comes with a big smile! I also love supporting Dena businesses. It is on very busy Washington Boulevard and it is still a chill place to enjoy your morning Java. Cheers to a great week! read more

We came here after a hike, we wanted something fairly quick but good. This was the perfect choice! They have a couple veggie options for non meat eaters and they can be made vegan. I got the Green Goddess sandwich. It was really good! We all got cinnamon rolls to share, and OMG they were delicious!! Everyone was amazed at how good they are. To drink I got an Iced Decaf Cinnamon Cream Latte with non dairy milk. It was all so good! read more

Was originally heading to my go to matcha spot and saw this on the way. The name caught my attention so I decided to try a new place and I'm glad I did! FOOD/DRINKS 4.5/5 Apple Pie Matcha with oat milk 5/5 - it's a seasonal drink and it's nice and refreshing, smooth, and sweetened just the right amount. It's an easy drink to slow sip and enjoy. Tasted like there might be cider at play and I'm about it! Prosciutto Fig Sandwich 4/5- the fig jam is TO DIE FOR. I'm very happy I got this sandwich. The combination of prosciutto and fig is delicious. DESSERT 5/5 Gluten Free Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie- OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!! If you are or aren't gluten free and you love carrot cake GET THIS DESSERT IMMEDIATELY!!! It is flavorful, perfectly sweetened, the perfect texture that's reminiscent of an oatmeal cream pie regarding the soft texture. It could literally just melt in your mouth. SERVICE 5/5 I thought it was a little extra personal touch to have your drinks served in different cups for here, and to go. If you get it for here it comes in a glass jar, and for to go it is in plastic. Hannah was so kind, patient, and very helpful and informative. I explained that I'd never been here before and she talked me through recommendations for everything telling me some of the most popular items for food, drinks, and desserts. I didn't try their matcha with lavender and honey that they're known for because I wanted to get the seasonal drink, so I'll be back for the other one. AMBIANCE (loved it) Such a pretty and cutesy place. There's music playing and fairy lights, flowers, honey, and tea all about. They also had the cutest cups and mugs. It's a nice place to come and have lunch in a relaxed and friendly environment. (note: they don't have WiFi). HONORABLE MENTION I so very much loved that this location had a big designated parking lot literally on the side of the building. ALSO, I decide to have the gluten free version of the sandwich and the carrot whoopie pie and was BLOWN AWAY by how soft and moist the bread, and pie were. Apparently they get their pastries and bread fresh every morning from Rising Hearts. You can literally TASTE that they were made with love. So many wonderful things to say about my experience here. If you've not been by I encourage you to give it a try. There's something there for everyone. The service is AMAZING and the food is tasty. read more

First sip of their amaretto orange latte sent Lavender and Honey right to the top for my California vacation espresso extravaganza! Only matched by Jones Coffee and Red Shift, this is one special spot doing the baristas of the world proud. We all enjoyed a quick Sunday morning take out but were confused why they did not have the other drinks ready but waited on everything for us to show up to begin the toast to ensure that was fresh. Small matter since we had time and this space is easy to enjoy. Wish I could've stayed! Need to move to California for sure. read more

Small place but with parking space so that's a plus. They also have 4-5 small tables outside if you want alfresco and few inside. Service is fine..We were kinda waiting for our sandwich but it was already placed somewhere in their pick up spot(you just have to look for your name)they did call our names for the drinks. I don't know what to say about my iced salted caramel latte it taste different to me, but i do love their sandwich italiano and my son liked his chocolate drink. read more

Not sure why I have been to this coffee place so many times. When I lived in Pasadena, the intersection of Hill & Washington had a mystery bookstore and a cookbook store across the street and eventually a Lebanese restaurant. I don't know if any businesses from that era remain. Millie's, when its packed in the morning, now dominates this attractive looking intersection. So, the reason I end up at this coffee spot is because of some odd nostalgia about things that were here before, as the coffee is fine, though not memorably so, and it's not the most comfortable place, though there is nothing at all wrong with it. read more

Inside the shop it's cozy, a nice place to catchup with friends, especially when it's raining. They have a variety of products from T-shirts to local vendors for pie fillings & chili oils. They have all of their seasonal drinks right there at the register, easy to read. We are 1st timers... I wasn't sure what to order, then decided on the REAL PSL- (pumpkin spice latte) I must state a disclaimer (I'm not a real coffee drinker) so with that being said if you love coffee, this is the place for you! I love that L& H does not use any artificial ingredients and they use local vendors for their organic supply. My friend is a coffee drinker & he ordered salted Carmel latte, and enjoyed the flavor but really enjoyed the coffee taste. I will back to try some other items on the menu. read more

Parking is located just behind which is convenient but seating is a luxury so many people take to go. Its a small shop but doesnt sting on the quality of their goods. I had their matcha latte, lavendar and honey parfait, and avocado toast. The matcha was decent. The parfait made with fresh ingredients. And the avocado toast just enough for me. It looks like a thin layer of avocado but it was surprisingly good bc you think there isnt enough but it is! Id come back! Came on a saturday afternoon and it was a little busy. read more

I used to come here after a hike (before the fires) and it was always a pleasant treat after a stroll in nature. It is adorned with flowers everywhere. They have seating inside and outdoors. It can get pretty chilly inside, no matter what the time of year so I usually prefer to sit outside unless it's too hot by the time I get there or I have a sweater with me. Their menu is pretty straight-forward, they do have delicious pastries, sandwiches, and such. This last time I went it I grabbed an iced Honeybee Latte with whole milk. It was just sweet enough. I do wish the espresso was stronger but the honey made up for it. While I was there, there was people coming in and out nonstop. You can tell there are a lot of locals and regulars that visit. The staff are interactive with their customers and do a great job of making everyone feel welcome and part of their coffee family. Definitely add it to your list if you're in the area :) read more

First of all, it's very cute in there. I went at about 11:45 am and made it just before the lunch crowd poured in. By the time I left, the line was out the door and I see why. It was my very first time being here and I ordered a very refreshing peach tea and a turkey avocado sandwich which siracha mayo. They said it's on country white bread but it looks like wheat to me, unless they ran out of white and didn't tell me lol. But that aside, everything was soooo fresh and crisp and delicious. And the sandwich was pretty sizable too. I also ordered a cinnamon roll, but I haven't tried it yet because I'm too full from the giant sandwich. I would've taken better pics but I didn't want to offend anyone in the shop. And I took my food to go, so sorry you get to see them in boxes. But I would definitely recommend this place, the have such a great menu and many delectable treats to choose from. read more

Just like the poetic cafe name suggests, this place really is refreshing and sweet. A quaint coffee shop with signature honey-infused lattes and mouthwatering selection of gourmet toast and outdoor seating on a beautiful sunny LA day - what more can you ask for? I've visited this cafe twice now and every time I meet up with a dear friend, we indulge in their lattes and toast. This time I tried the peach and honey toast - yummy! I only wish the toast slice was a little bigger so there is more to savor. Free on-site parking is available but limited. The baristas took their time making the food and lattes, which is worth the wait and the cashier was patient as my friend and I tried to narrow down our selection from a delicious sounding menu. They have a selection of food items and branded merchandise for purchase, as well. Considering it's a local favorite spot, seating may be harder to come by. Enjoy! read more

This cafe is quite small with cramped seating although there is an outdoor area. I've only gotten drinks to-go. It's quite simple and nice inside. And the staff are nice and friendly. They offer baked goods also although I haven't tried them yet. They also sell other items but it's a bit on the pricy side. There is a seasonal menu which is where I got my pistachio honey latte. It was good! The coffee was a bit too hot to immediately drink but manageable. I liked how they add bits of pistachio as well and not just simply a syrup pump. I'd return again and try more from their menu. read more

One of my favorite coffee places in Pasadena! Pretty busy with a packed lot at around 10am on a Friday. Inside there was a small line and lots to look at. The service was super friendly and positive! My favorite is the honeybee latte and right now they have a honey pistachio that I tried today and it was so good. It wasn't too sweet and had pieces of pistachio inside. I also ordered the potato chip pastrami sandwich which took awhile to be made. It was good too but I think a little too much mustard especially since it's already paired with pickled/brined onions. I think the potato chips would be better on the side because for it to be inside, it got really soggy quick and just kept falling everywhere. I would definitely go with the turkey chili crunch next time as it was more up my alley but I wanted to try something different. The drinks here are amazing, I look forward to coming here every time. read more

Lavender & Honey is a wonderful way to wake up every morning - starting the day with some positive energy, delicious coffee and tasty homemade treats. This female-owned and operated business offers some amazing caffeine-infused drinks, toasts, sandwiches and salads, and of course, lots of lavender and honey ingredients. Typically, there is a small line outside waiting for the shop to open on Washington Blvd. each day. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the building as well as plenty of street parking in this quiet area of Pasadena near the Altadena border. You'll be greeted by some friendly faces and a wonderfully bright and cheerful space. A few small tables and chairs inside and out front, along with some merchandise to take home with you. One of the my go to caffeine fixes is the French Lavender Breve. Their signature lavender latte made with espresso, French vanilla and lavender syrup. You can get it hot or over ice and add your choice of milk (I opt for the almond version ). If my tummy is grumbling, I usually go with one of the options from their Toast Bar. This morning, I was craving the PB Honey Banana Toast (Peanut Butter, Banana, and Raw Local Honey on Artisan Bread). They also have gluten free bread options as needed. The coffee is fantastic. Bold, flavorful and the lavender-inspired options epic. Friendly, locally owned and operated team helps bring smiles to each customer. A great way to start the day. read more

Snacking in Pasadena, California... After breakfast, I thought I'd check out Lavender & Honey since it was literally right next door to the restaurant we had just patronized. My friend, Sam, suggested that I take a peek because I was there already. (I listen to her because she's super smart and usually right!) I had free parking around the corner from the front door of Lavender & Honey. Customers were outside, chatting and enjoying the outdoor seating. Inside, the place was packed! I just wanted to grab something and be on my way! I saw the cute honey bears (the containers are bears) and got one! I also got a croissant - wow! Such a flakey crust and airy interior!
