Amazing service, unique drinks, and one hell of a banana coffee. I came to Milk Brew a few weeks ago as I was in the area. Parking can be tough but it's a great area to walk around. The space itself is really nice, I would def work here if I needed to get out of the house. As for the drinks let's get into it: - Iced Banana Coffee (8.3/10) The way they brew/made this was super smooth. The banana milk doesn't overpower the espresso, was a perfect pairing. I had this drink a second time, it wasn't as good but I'd still order again. - Iced Vanilla Coffee (7/10) My gf got this one. She really liked it, but I just thought it was okay. Probably bc I prefer sweeter drinks. Overall great experiences the two times I came. I think what stood out the most besides the drinks was the service, the owners really care about their business and the quality of the drinks. Would I go again? Yes! read more

Amazing! Let's talk about the aesthetic. It's very clean, spacious, and rather big for a coffee place. There are tables you can work, inside and outside. I can't say if it gets crowded (I did go pretty early, like 9 am), but it was quiet and the plenty of seating available. The staff were super professional, nice, and gracious! I ordered the lavender milk brew with whole milk. Let me tell you it was straight-up perfection! Not too sweet at all (and I'm sure they can adjust sweetness based on request!). I loved every sip of it. My only request is that they have bigger sizes. Like I downed my coffee in no time! I know coffee places in Pasadena are a dime a dozen but I really love Milk Brew and I think you might like it, too. Come check it out! read more

I was highly impressed! One of the best coffee experiences I've had in all my recent coffee ventures. The milk brew with banana milk was beautifully balanced, especially with the chocolate notes of the coffee from this week perfectly complementing the banana milk with the just right amount of sweetness. The prices were very reasonable compared to most other LA-area coffee shops. Spacious, modern interior thoughtfully designed to provide a generous amount of work space. Of course, the service was excellent. The barista present this Monday was so kind and highly knowledgeable. I believe one of the owners was seated at the side, who was also very kind. Got pretty astonished by how huge the space was, looking like a sizable office space converted into a minimalistic coffee shop. The signature drinks they offered were literally what they called out in their name. It's apparently a Japanese coffee-making technique by brewing the coffee directly with milk instead of water. As the process took quite plenty of time, it let the coffee taste stayed strong yet smooth. What made it fun was they offered different options of milk including corn and banana! Thanks to the barista who warned me that the banana milk came sweet within the default mode so I opted for no extra syrup. When you went for other milk, you typically would want to add the housemade syrup. I felt it was right balance between being creamy yet still allowed the coffee flavor leading. read more

Visited on Saturday, June 13 around 10:55 AM. Unfortunately, the milk brew was already sold out, so I'll have to come back and try that next time. My partner ordered a strawberry latte, and I ordered a cappuccino. Total came to $12.60, and payment was quick and easy and surprisingly they didn't ask for tip. Since this is still a newer shop, there are a few areas that could improve. Our drinks took about 15-20 minutes to come out, and my cappuccino was initially made as a latte. The barista caught the mistake, remade it, and kindly let me keep both drinks. Both were served a bit cooler than I expected. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the espresso. It had a floral, slightly funky flavor profile that stood out from the typical coffee shop roast. My partner felt the strawberry latte was just okay, as the flavor seemed to come mostly from syrup. The space is a highlight: spacious, minimalist, and cozy, with several large tables and plenty of outlets for working or studying. Parking can be a bit challenging. Most nearby street parking is limited to 30 minutes, though Paseo Colorado is an option if you don't mind a short walk. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential. Welcome to the neighborhood! I found them by mistake on a walk. They are brand new, only two weeks in. Please support this new biz! The guys that work here are super sweet. There's street parking and a small lot on the side. I ordered (an iced ) lavender milk and I loved it!! I was told they make the lavender syrup in house and its on the menu year-round. There were plenty people inside working on laptops, etc. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the seating area and then the counter is at the far back. Nothing I'd go out of my way for. And for a shop built around milk, the options are surprisingly limited -- oat, regular, and corn milk. That's it. No almond, no macadamia, no coconut, no cashew. In 2026 that's a thin lineup, especially when you're positioning yourself as a specialty milk concept. Half my friend group would have nothing to order. My partner's strawberry latte tasted like syrup poured into warm milk. Not craft, not special! Maybe in six months once they've had time to figure things out it'll be a different story. Really bad coffee. Rude pretentious baristas could not give me what I ordered which was iced espresso with short milk and instead gave me espresso with an ice cube in it and hot steamed milk on top. Espresso itself was not very good. read more

Came by for their soft opening, and couldn't have left happier! I tried the namesake Milk Brew and it was delicious! The owner, George, also recommended a Pour Over for the taste I enjoy, and I loved it. It was perfect that there was a bar area to sit at, and I was able to hear the process on how they make their coffee. He and all of the workers were so nice, and the inside is so pretty! The staff was organized, friendly, and had a clear system in place. I ordered the Sweet Milk Brew with Corn milk and it was AMAZING. Aside from specializing in the Milk Brew concept, this cafe offers all the regular type coffees we are used to seeing at the run of the mill coffee shops. However, even their "regular" coffee options surpass others in quality and taste. I would go out of my way to come back here and plan to be a regular. And to think that they are still in their "soft opening" era. Can't wait to see what their Grand Opening will be like. Go try it out! read more
