I came to their pop-up in Pasadena twice. Their cute marketing got me! But on a real note, the coffee/matcha is worth the trip. The girls at the counter are sweet and service is very quick. I got the blueberry pancake matcha the first time. Love my fruity matchas, it was perfectly sweet and refreshing. Stole a sip of the cookie butter latte from my mom. It's so delicious but definitely for people who have more of a sweet tooth. The Cocoa Puff Latte is also very good, not super chocolatey at first but once the cereal sits for a bit you get more of that classic cocoa puff taste. My second time around I got the cookie butter with matcha, WOW! It was such a nice flavor combo. I'm excited to try other drinks on their menu soon!

Matcha strawberry shortcake was so yum!!! I love that they don't charge for milk alternatives. The drink itself was not super sweet at all (they do not sweeten their matcha) but it was just the right amount for the drink. I loved how they added the strawberry shortcake bits, it was so unique! there is plenty of street parking! Check their instagram to see their schedule.

I stopped by on a Thursday around 10:45am and had no trouble finding street parking. There were a few people waiting outside and a short line when I arrived. The space is small with a few tables inside. Before I ordered, they let me know it would take about 20-25 minutes for drinks which I appreciated the heads up. I ordered an iced matcha latte with honey and it was really good! They have a loyalty card where your 10th drink is free! I will definitely be back!

I found Starlet Coffee through Facebook Marketplace and wanted to support a small local business. You can check their socials for more information on their schedule and where they will be located next. A lot of people are unsure where it's located (in the Pasadena location), but it's the first door right next to the garage with the address number 473. There's street parking. I tried the blueberry pancake matcha latte with oat milk and overall enjoyed it. The matcha was hand-whisked, and they clearly take their time handcrafting each order. Flavor-wise, the blueberry pancake syrup definitely carried the drink. It genuinely tasted like a blueberry pancake/muffin. However, the matcha taste was not as prominent. Texture-wise, the latte leaned more water-based than milk-based, which you could tell from the darker, more translucent color. I personally prefer a creamier matcha, but the flavor itself was enjoyable. I'd love to come back another time and give them another try!

My sister and I love Starlet Coffee! Both times we have visited have been very great and we love staying updated on their pop up locations. I recommend ordering the blueberry matcha. The matcha is amazing quality and I love the blueberry flavor! (I'm so used to ordering strawberry matchas so I appreciate that they offer blueberry instead!) Service is very friendly always and the ambiance is casual, easy to order and pick up!

The inside is pretty unfinished with only 2 small tables. The drinks came out fairly quick (6 orders ahead of us). The drinks themselves are alright. Not the worst I've had but the matcha tastes a little similar to Starbucks matcha and my friend said the coffee latte was a little too sweet for her. Overall, the drinks are decent but I dont think i would go out of my way to come here.

Spanish Latte & Cocoa Puff Latte

The coffee did not disappoint and I cannot wait to grab another cup from here already! I really like the Cocoa Puff Latte. For those who think that the Disneyland one just tastes like chocolate milk, this one actually tastes like a latte so do not skip out on it! Would definitely come again!

YUM!!! Absolutely loved my latte. I just discovered Starlet Coffee's pop-up cart in Pasadena, and I'm officially obsessed! The coffee is perfectly brewed, smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to brighten my day. The pop-up cart is such a fun little experience. Definitely my new go-to for a quick caffeine fix

The coffee here is amazing the only thing i would suggest is better/earlier hours for your customers - try it for one week opening earlier!

If you drive by too fast, you may miss this cute little coffee shop on the corner of fair oaks and villa! There isn't much seating inside but the coffees are divine. We got the cold brew cocoa puff matcha latte and the blueberry latte and both were so delicious! The employees so kind and attentive! Definitely drop by and check them out.

Sweetest girlies making good coffee So fun having them at an event! They did have a lot of orders but definitely were able to pull it through, and the coffee was delicious

    Celine K.

the quality of the matcha was good but i didn't really enjoy the blueberry syrup and it was hard to mix both drinks. overall i liked the cocoa puff one more, the wait after ordering also a bit long

    Spanish Latte

I ordered 3 Spanish Lattes and it took around 30 minutes to get my order, so I would not recommend coming here if you are in a rush. The espresso was weak and slightly acidic. I wish they added more cinnamon and poured less milk. I understand that this is a small business, but there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency even though 10+ people were still waiting for their order. Also, they should write down people's names on the cup because multiple people ordered the same drink, so there was confusion on who should be taking it first.

The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. TL;DR Mandarin 2 is the only place for the serious spro…read moreenthusiast! Over the years, I've been incredibly honored, blessed and humbled to experience coffee in deeper way than most, locally having the experienced Thee Coffee GOATs/Royalty & LA Coffee Pioneers (Glanville & Babinski and the OG crew that includes but not limited to Jaymie Lao, Percy Ramirez, Brent Glanville, M'lissa, Sumi Ali, etc...and including so many more like Mike Phillips, Tyler Wells, Yeekai Lim, Leon Li, Frank La...I can go on and on), to which I am eternally grateful. Regrettably over the last 10 or so years, it has been my perception that much of the specialty coffee industry has: 1) capitulated to the taste buds of the casual coffee drinker (or the masses) and have abandoned their desire to change hearts and minds with education about a new wave of coffee drinking experience; 2) are shops owned and operated by people who are non coffee professionals (you know who you are!) and lack pedigree & experience. I get it. It's tiring and frustrating trying to help customers understand that what they are drinking is not "weak" coffee just because they "can't taste coffee." The masses & self-proclaimed coffee enthusiasts want "strong/bold" coffee but they themselves don't even understand what that means! Youngsters want to drink their iced lattes all the while pretending to be grown ups and/or be part of some trendy shop. they take 100s of pictures of the same latte and finally post one to their intriguing Instagram story. Why? Because trendy, duh! Thank God for Sherry Gao and the undeniably talented team at Mandarin & Mandarin 2. THESE KIDS ARE BONAFIDE COFFEE PROFESSIONALS!!!! They have phenomenal coffee pedigree! If you are familiar with my senseless ramblings, or so-called "reviews", you will notice that this one lacks my customary per item ratings and elaboration. This is intentional. Considering the subject matter of coffee, I simply cannot and will not write about "how good this latte is", etc. With all due respect, I drink spro, and almost always only spros at shops that actually know what they are doing (with an occasional deviation of a spro & some milk or something else interesting to my palate at the moment). So yeah, if you must know, Mandarin 2 is THEE PLACE for coffee. And to all the iced latte experts, please do spare us your expert opinion on coffee.

This place is for someone who wants to try something new and interesting…read more I'm not Chinese or Asian so these flavors were new to me. I got the seasonal coconut latte and I liked the espresso it was smooth and creamy. My mother got their latte with the milk tea and I personally liked it but she wasn't very happy with it. The baristas weren't accommodating about substitutions or offering to make a new drink. Each business has a right to run it the way they want but be warned that you kind of have to commit to trying something you may not like. This place gives an either you like our drinks or just don't come back type of vibe. They don't really seem to care about appeasing you. Do with that information what you will.
