Oh. My. GATO. This is a hidden treasure taco spot. I'm spoiled because I had some really great tacos down the street from my house growing up and so I know what good tacos taste like. I lived in East Los Angeles and couldn't find a taco spot that was this good. I've gone to Mexico. I've been in different parts of Mexico and Baja. I don't remember the food ever tasting this good. Tacos, the corner is run by a guy and a girl team. I don't know their names because this was my first time, but the service was on point. They're generous with their portions and salsa, and their green avocado salsa is so amazing. I got two Asada one chicken and one el pastor. I bought the chicken taco because when I try out a taco spot with good prices, I always get their chicken tacos because you can tell whether or not a spot is gonna be good or bad by the way they do their chicken. Chicken is a hard meat to cook, even if it's thigh meat. This chicken taco was so juicy. I was pleasantly surprised. They also have burritos and horchata. I'm also a connoisseur of Horchata. I know it's not hard to make, and sometimes people use just powdered stuff, and even if this was powdered, it was the good powdered stuff. lol As for the ambience, it is a street corner fast food, regular. If you need a bathroom, there's a park down the street that has a restroom if you wanna go to the bathroom or wash your hands. The portions were so big I could only eat two tacos, which says a lot about an establishment because if they skimp on the meat, you know. They also had I believe Jamaica. For the Pasadena Altadena area? The spot is on point. It's right by the ACTS thrift store and the 7-11, so this is gonna be my go to Friday spot because I usually go to the thrift store to buy flip items or look for tees. I found a Japanese inspired Darth Vader Star Wars shirt (and got half off because a kind man in the store who was talking to me couldn't find anything and had a 50% off coupon so score for me). I'm from DTLA and have been on the hunt for legit tacos all around Pasadena since moving here and finally, I found the one! I'd tried all the usual "best taco" spots, but BEHOLD... this hidden gem sets up right in front of 7/11. I've driven past it so many times while picking up my kids from school, and I'm SO glad the fam and I finally stopped by. Got a burrito (carne asada & al pastor mixto) 10/10, no question. A carne asada only burrito, also 10/10. 8 tacos (4 tripas, 4 al pastor) 10/10 across the board! The flavors were on point, every meat perfectly charred, and I swear I'm not exaggerating toda la comida estaba RIQUÍSIMO! This is officially my go-to spot from now on. Service was A1! Taco stand set up literally on the sidewalk next to 7/11. Friendly staff. No menu and no prices listed anywhere. We got 8 total al pastor and carne asada tacos which cost $20 flat. We're from San Diego and are able to cross the border within 10 minutes to get TJ tacos, so I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food. We were visiting and yelped a food place that opens late and this business popped up. I'm very glad we went! The Al pastor tacos here are marinated very well and come with a lot of meat! I finished all of my tacos and still had plenty of meat leftover on my plate to pick at. The tacos come bare and they have a table set up with different fixings for your tacos. The only negative I have about this business is they don't use real guacamole, it's an avocado salsa. Only 1 table and a few chairs, so we ate on top of the hood of our car. We really enjoyed our experience and if they used real guacamole, I would've given 5 stars. read more

Hit this taco stand on the way home from the UCLA football game thanks to yelp and solid reviews. Food hit the spot and was price points were fair. $2.50 for tacos and $12.00 for the burritos. Service was great and they had several points of sale included cash apps and a credit card reader. Located in the front of a 7/11 with ample parking due to one of the businesses closed during the evening. read more

Was shopping at the thrift store and spotted the taco stand in front of 711. Decided to try it and boy was the Food amazing! Got tacos de cabeza, burrito de asada and papa relleno de asada!! Everything was BOMB! Service was great, it was only 2 workers but service was quick and they were both friendly. Definitely will stop by more often since I work in the area! Taco stand over in East Pasadena that just popped up out of nowhere. I love me some tacos, so decided to check this place out. Just don't park in the 7-11 right behind them as the proprietors there don't like people taking up their spots. In fact, just recently, they started taping off the spots so nobody can park there for tacos. Understandable, so there's plenty of street parking up and down Altadena Drive. Just gotta walk it. Anyway, they have a pastor spit there, so you get some really fresh cuts. Additionally, they fire grill the asada right on the premises. Other items include tripas that they stew in a large pot, and cabeza. Get the cabeza. Super tender and fatty. You won't even know it's cabeza. Asada is nicely flavored too. Don't forget to wash it down with some Agua Fresca or horchata. The sauces, from mild to very hot, are terrific (with the top end sauce being really spicy). Prices? A little steep for a taco stand (cash only, too). But I think worth it. Would come back again. read more

Note: Unfortunately, my first visit, I did not ask their hours, I will try to do so next visit. Driving by one night and see a brand new taco truck joint near my home! Smelled good on the way up, had to go back for something! Located on the corner of E. Washington and N Altadena, right in front of 7-Eleven. Parking is that same plaza. These guys are here 3 times a week, not sure exactly which days, there was a language barrier. On approach, 4 guys were very friendly, though they spoke only a little English, it was enough to make it through! They sell tacos, quesadillas, mulitas, burritos, and tacoquesos. They don't have a menu... so we didn't ask each specific price but overall seemed very fair if not great! For meats, they offered al pastor, carne asada, and tripe, though, I might've missed it if they offered more. They also offer grilled onions on request. Watching the chef grill the meat was mouth-watering! Each meat looked so tender and smelled delicious! We ordered 6 al pastor tacos, 6 carne asada tacos, 1 al pastor quesadilla, 2 al pastor burritos and 1 pineapple juice. The tacos tortillas are freshly made, they literally shape and cut it fresh to be grilled! The burritos near completion, will be offered to you to add toppings such as salsa, onions and cilantro, etc. The pina wasn't mine, but i heard it was very good as well! Salsa and condiment bar is self-serve. They offered green salsa, avocado salsa, radish, cucumbers, onions, and cilantro. Total was $56 flat, so I guess you can do the math on that. Each item was very tasty! Specifically the al pastor was amazing, flavorful, juicy, and tender! The carne asada was also very good, albeit a little salty, so pair it with the cucumber or radish! Condiments were very fresh and since it was self-serve, we were not skimped. The quesadilla was great as well, very cheesy and meaty. Overall, the experience was top-notch, customer service was great, food was great, location/parking was easy and convenient, and pricing was great also. Note to self and others, bring gloves to eat or utensils, because the al pastor is messy! I am so grateful a GOOD taco truck opened up nearby and will definitely return! read more

My wife and I always pass by and decided to give it a try a couple days ago. I got a burrito and my wife got a couple of tacos. There was a bad after taste and both my wife and I got sick at the same time about 20 minutes after we ate their food. Not worth it for the price we paid. Never going back! I reported the to the city's health department and they told me they are not licensed to handle food in CA. They ruined Mexican cuisine for me and my wife. If you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine please avoid them and go to Baja Cali up the street. read more

We happened upon this taco stand after enjoying afternoon tea at Calisto down the street. We tried the Al Pastor tacos, burritos, and carnitas tacos. Helpful and pleasant service. Delicious, flavorful food, and they sure pack on the meat. We devoured it on the spot. We will be back. read more

Wow! Amazing al pastor tacos can be found here with a generous slice of pineapple. They give you a lot of meat and it's a really hearty taco. Not too fatty but just right when you bite into it. I wish I ordered more and that horchata was so good too so don't forget it. read more

Great to eat real al pastor tacos right here in east Pasadena. Not as good as being in Mexico, but the best I've had in Pasadena. Salsas are great. And the have grilled onions and jalapeños as well. Fast and easy. 2.50 a taco. So we got 2 plates of 4 each. $20. Done and Done. read more
