08/118/2026 This taco stand is a fantastic family run business and they truly keep it authentic. Stopped by El Jaracho this evening for a taco and.....Yumm! I went for a Chorizada....a taco stuffed with chunks of tasty Chorizo, Cheese and Lettuce, grilled on the flattop and topped with your choice of Salsa (I go for the red). I found a new delicacy for myself. Decadent and delicious! I really hope this family continues finding success. They truly deserve it! read more

My daughter and I were coming home from a protest the other night. I was too tired to deal with a restaurant and too tired to cook. I've seen this place almost every night since it's around the corner, so we decided to stop. We had asada tacos and pastor tacos and washed them down with Mexican Coke. The tortilla was delicious and the meat was perfect. There are a few stools to sit on if one wants (we did) but this is mostly a to-go place. The food came quickly and we were home and in bed, full and happy, in no time. I recommend this place for delicious food with no hipster vibes. Sorry I didn't take a picture. The best taquerio in town. The family that runs it are so wonderful. Everything is top notch, but I love their hauraches and chingadas. Don't forget to get your avocado salsa. If you ever crave any more food, be sure to check out their little convenience store. They have so many wonderful snacks that are hard to find in the US. read more

These street tacos from a food truck is bomb!! They're super friendly and got a lot of options for a good late night grub. The quesadilla is oozing with cheese and meat. I tried the chorizada which is like a taco cooked into the juices of the chorizo with asada. SOOO GOOD!! read more

Also a former neighbor. Now you know to eat your food THERE on the dirty street with the giant roaches, because THEY admit to making things worse/small when its to go! Prices are HIGH, quality is LOW, portions are TINY and they are NOT friendly. Avoid. Go a few blocks down Colorado Blvd heading towards rosemead.. GIANT delicious burritos for only $9!!! Stuffed generously and graciously. Never going back to Jarocho....downhill for years. read more

Paid $14 for the most disappointing burrito . I'm a local across the street and used to come here for dollar tacos way back when they had it. I tried a burrito here maybe 2 years back with the same issue. While in line one worker said to the other "why do you make it one way and way better for customers? " in Spanish "He replied it's bc when they order it here it has to look good " I immediately asked to get mine for there while they were finishing up. Walked up to order with my family and they did not even say hello. Or Hola at least, I asked did they have any "taco Tuesday " deals the guy was rude and said what are you talking about. I shrugged it off and then I asked how much are the tacos and he continued to give negative energy like "what are you talking about"? So we never even got to order anything. I won't spend my money where I'm not welcome. Side note when other people came to order they were greeted with hello's. read more

I stopped at El Jarocho just by chance and it must have been fate. My wife and I had asada and chicken and potato tacos to go. The tacos were so good that I had to go back and double my order. The balance of ingredients was exceptional and even the tortillas were over the top. If you're in the vicinity, do your palate a favor and treat yourself to one of these chicken and potato delights. You can't beat the price and I've finally found my go to place for tacos!!!! read more

So glad I stumbled on this place through Yelp! I've been living in Pasadena for a while now and wish I knew about this taco stand earlier. We got 4 different tacos and all were super yummy. My favorite was the asada. We also got a hot dog (a little too saucy for my liking) but perfect for the bf. The taco torta was also so good! My bf said the taco torta was his favorite out of everything we tried, and my fave were the tacos. The horchata was very sweet and very cinnamony if that is up your alley. We got the large but would probably go for the regular size next time. Quick, friendly service and you can see the food prepared right before you. Easy street parking as well. We can't wait to be back to try everything else on the menu!!!! read more

We were in the nearby Home Depot and needed a quick bite on a rainy day. Lovely husband and wife running this small cart/stand. We got 6 tacos for $12. The tortillas had taste unlike some of the ones I've been having. Lots of onions and cilantro. The pollo is with potatoes which I loved. So yummy. Next was the carnitas which was also very good. I thought the chorizo was just okay and will give it a miss next time. My husband said the same about the carne Asada. read more

Excellent tacos and prices are just right. This is a gem in Pasadena, but you need to get there early to avoid lines outside the truck, but it moves fast. Located in a nice area on Colorado Street with music and great cooks - this spot is awesome. read more

Very solid taco stand. Their green sauce was super on point and they gave us a ton of lemon and radish. I thought the cave a and pastor were their best. Super juicy and packed with flavor. Must visit imo if you're nearby for cheap eats. I think 6-10 tacos is enough for me for a meal (tacos are on the smaller side). read more

This review is not based on the taste of their food but rather hygiene and food handling practices. Like I mentioned above, their food is great and this is what brought me to give them a second chance. Some time back I witness the cook flip tortillas and wipe sweat off his forehead with the towel that hangs from his back pocket. It wasn't my order he was cooking so I walked away before I ordered. After a few months, I came back. I have patronize them regularly since but tonight my order was already on the griddle. Understandably, we all sneeze but 'come on', anyone with common sense would cover their mouth. Don't sneeze like you are out in a open field, and especially when you are cooking someone's food! I took the order, $15 worth; didn't say anything but the food went right in the trash. Disgusting! This guy is the "Salt Bae" of taco stands. Hope they read this review so they practice better food handling to prevent foodborne germs. I support street vendors and their hustle and it can be easier to overlook the bad habits above, as well as some others that may seem less obvious. You get what you pay for. Too bad I will not be returning. Enjoy the salty sprinkles my friends. read more

The taco stand is in front of a body shop. The nice lady takes your order and collects the money while the nice man makes the food. The al pastor was good. Not very spicy but a bit greasy. The carnitas and asada was great. Salsa verde was not very spicy. Taco torta was interesting and very filling. read more

We were eating there when another customer came in and was waiting for over 7 minutes with the employee not acknowledging her at all. She eventually just left. Another couple walked in, also waited 5 minutes until she came to assist from the back. While the customer was saying her order, the employee got a personal call while dealing with the food, answered and was preparing the food while on her phone call. I have a video snipped of this interaction. As we were finishing about to leave, another customer came in and was waiting for over 5 min. The entire restaurant can see and hear her on the phone. Something about another employee not coming in and it was just her and that she had done everything. When the customer tried to get her attention she motioned hold on with her hand. I completely understand it sucks when a co worker calls out. But that was a bit much. No wonder this place is always dead. No one would want to come back after this experience.

I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in my lifetime and have never been given only three tortillas for a plate that size. We asked for more tortillas and were charged $4 with zero warning. It's not about the money it's the principle. The charge was never disclosed. When I brought it up with the owner, Lupita, she was dismissive and couldn't explain the reasoning it's not even homemade tortillas. You can literally buy 90 tortillas for $4 at a grocery store! She took off one of the charges but kept the other $2. Meanwhile, they offer unlimited chips and complimentary salsa without blinking. The inconsistency is baffling. We genuinely wanted to support this family-run restaurant we loved seeing the family come in together. But the disrespect during that conversation made it impossible to leave on good terms. Do yourself a favor and drive about a 1.5 miles down the street to El Metate. Their large shrimp cocktail is $15, is so flavorful, and the staff treats you like family. Their pozole is outstanding too. We found them on our first failed attempt to come here and we'll be going back to them exclusively from now on. We will never return to Lupita's and made it clear to not go there in our community thread with 15K people.
