What a great coffee spot! I was grabbing breakfast at Seed and wanted to find some coffee nearby and how kismet this place was right across the street. Cindy was so kind and welcoming. Their cold brew is so flavorful and strong in the best way! I added the banana cold foam and it was flavorful without being too sweet. Inside is a plant shop and they have local items for sale. There are a few tables outside but more of a grab and go spot. I'll definitely be back!
This place is so good (4.5)! I went on a Saturday at around 9:30 and there was no line. I can see how people could miss it (it's a tiny place). matcha latte (3/5): I didn't read the reviews before but I agree it's very milky. Wish it was a bit stronger. La Chula (5/5): this was so so good. Even from the first sip I knew I would love this. Definitely recommend! The place is pretty small so not much room to sit and chat. I love that they have trinkets to shop from.
I was looking for a small coffee shop and this was it. It looks like a plant store from the outside but I easily found it as well as parking. They had some knick knacks inside and even adidas slingback bags. I asked the barista what she recommended as I was torn between the Chula special and love yourz. She recommended the Chula special. I am so glad I went with that. It was the perfect amount of espresso and horchata and not overly sweet. It made my day. I definitely want to come back since I work nearby.
La Chula is always my go too when I'm in the area! Cindy and her entire family are so nice! The space if beautiful and the vibes are alway exactly what I need! They always have the cutest things to buy along with a great coffee! Love that is a Latina owned small business! I love that I feel the Guatemala love too

The vibe inside is very severe because, well, plants everywhere! The next time I'll stop by, I'll definitely spend some time inside the store! The lady behind the counter was so nice and sweet, and she told me all about the offerings. She was also very patient with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted. I ended up getting the churro latte and OMG, it's so good! Not overly sweet but not too strong. I highly recommend this place for many reasons, but definitely for the vibes!!
I have been dying to try this place as I have heard good things about it. & the fact that it's Latina women owned makes it all that's better. Finally had the chance to try it and let's start with the location , it's a very small place BUT it has accessible easy parking next to it and seeing as it's in Pasadena that's a plus. As soon as you walk in you can just feel the ambiance, it's very chill and intimate. They have music playing which is great while you wait. They have a small sitting area ( a table for 2 or a small couch by the window. The only downfall is it doesn't seem like they have AC and it can get a little stuffy In terms of service she was great. Quick and externally helpful. The shop it is in self cute Guatemalan products and they have beautiful plants you can browse for purchase while you wait. Now the real reason yall are here let me tell you, it is one of the best Banana Matchas I have tried thus far. Definitely worth the hype. If you are in the area you should def stop by.

I'd have liked the matcha to be a tad stronger but the banana foam totally made up for it. And the pink heart straw didn't hurt either. It's right up the street from Remainders too!
Today was my first time in despite following them over one year on socials and living locally. The coffee shop is located within Pasadena Roots. When you step in, you are greeted with vibrant green plants everywhere. :) The store also has small trinkets from Guatemala- coin purses, key chains, etc. I parked across the street at Food4Less. They have one small pink couch indoors for seating. I also noticed one small pink table outside with seating for two. I was pleasantly surprised with my order of La Chula- it was so damn good. I also loved the pink heart shaped end of the straw, nice touch!
Super cute bipoc-owned cafe with lots of plants and knickknacks for purchase. I came here on a Sunday morning and there was only one other person in the cafe and one staff working. I ordered their love yourz latte and it was good! Their regular matcha latte was on the milder side and too milky so I would say to stick with their coffee based drinks. Minimal seating. Wouldn't come here to study or work from home. Parking: small private lot
I was so excited to finally try La Chula Cafe!! I ordered an iced churro latte and asked for it to be the least amount of sweet possible (I don't like my drinks too sweet), and they made it perfectly sweet! I could taste a hint of cinnamon, which I really like. They use a medium roast espresso, yay! The ambiance is very lively! I like the plants and the hot pink walls! I love that it's right by pihop (Pasadena international house of prayer) too!
My plant and coffee lovers, take some time to visit this cafe. This is a great business to support that supports the community and even hosts some fun DJ and coffee events. I came in on a Monday and they are closed, BUUUUUTTT the owner was super sweet and let me and my stepmom order. Please go during hours, this was a very kind gesture, but not encouraged. I perused the store and loved the Guatemalan novelties. The store has a bistro table to sit by the window. This is a calm place and you may leave with more than just a cafecito. They have delicious menu and even have horchata cold foam! I got an iced americano, nothing fancy, I like to taste the coffee for my first visit. Parking is on the side of the place, go slow or you may miss it. Can't wait for my next visit.
Had an amazing experience at La Chula Cafe. The coffee was honestly top tier, super smooth and flavorful, you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The vibe of the place is really unique too, especially with the plants all around, it just feels chill and welcoming. I also happened to stop by during a pop up they were hosting for a business called Beelicious and tried their cheesecake which was really good. It was a nice bonus to an already great visit. Overall, the coffee and atmosphere alone make this spot a must. I will definitely be coming back.

Family trip to La Chula, my Daughter brought it up and it's been popping up on my feed, you know Dena native. Easy ordering, reasonable pricing, I wish there were actual food items besides the tiny conchas, and maybe a couple tables, we'll be back! read more

Found this place on Yelp this past week and decided to visit within 24 hours. There's nothing I enjoy more than supporting the smaller minority and/or woman owned businesses. It's really easy to miss because the small unit shares space with a mobile shop located right upstairs. The only signage available to view from the street is a small little popup sign on the street. Other than that, you have to look directly inside. Anyways, we ordered their Churro Latte and Bee Kind Latte. We got both drinks iced with oat milk. The churro had a mild to medium flavor but the bee kind was very faint. On top of that, the espresso itself was on the lighter side. Both drinks were consumed as soon as we got to the car but tasted very watered down. After mixing the drinks thoroughly, you couldn't really distinguish the flavors completely. The person working offered a complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. Drinks were meh but the service was good. The interior is really cute with the various plants, merchandise, and seating areas great for photo ops. Another plus is that there's a private parking lot designated for customers but it's very small and easy to miss. Go out and support small businesses! We won't be back but hopefully you enjoy it more than we did. read more

This cafe is located inside of Pasadena Roots. It was a little confusing to find, the cafe is not named on the door. There is some seating, but mostly lots and lots of plants! It's lovely. I ordered the Bee Kind latte while my boyfriend got the Churro Latte. Both were delicious! They do have oat milk, so definitely ask if you want a milk alternative. This definitely seems like a shop that is a local favorite. The barista was chatting with a regular while we were there, and a few other people came in that knew the menu already. I hope it does well in the future as the coffee was very good! read more

We hired La Chula Cafe to bring their coffee bar cart to our baby shower, and the service was exceptional! The drinks were delicious, the setup looked so cute, and our guests loved it. Their communication leading up to the event was amazing!! Super clear, organized, and accommodating with every detail. Cindy and Wendy were so friendly and made everything feel easy and seamless. Service and coffee was amazing!! The staff is so sweet! Great customer service is hard to find these days and this place feels like home. My favorite is the Banana Matcha, their Banana cream cold foam is THE bomb!! Chula Special is my other favorite as well, so yummy! They also offer freshly pressed juices, chia pudding, and delicious pastries. I love how I can shop for plants, jewelry, and other goodies as well that make a perfect gift! It's Guatemalan family owned and you can really feel the love and warmth entering their space. Love it and will definitely be back!! read more

I am from San Diego and came up to Arcadia for a work event and decided to check this place out. I am Latina and love to support other Latinas and they did not disappoint. This place came out highly recommended on Yelp. Unexpectedly I went on a day were they had a Rizos Curls collaboration and got a free product. The matcha with banana cold foam was delicious! This coffee shop is my absolute favorite!! The matcha with sweet foam manages to be delicious without being too sweet. The shop is super cute! There are a few places to sit, but I have only picked up. While you wait, they have a beautiful array of plants and goodies to browse. There is also a phone repair shop up the stairs so you can get an errand done and treat yourself to coffee/matcha. My sister is a big fan of the churro latte and americano! One of my favorite cafes in Pasadena! The drink selection is really creative but not overwhelming, and there are beautiful house plants available too. Super cute Guatemalan owned coffee shop here in Pasadena. Two sisters run it and they are the sweetest. They have a variety of coffee drinks on their menu and drop different drinks based on the season. We tried La chula and the churro latte. They were both well balanced with the coffee to Milo ratio. My only thing is I don't like super sweet coffee, and both drinks lean towards sweet. Next time I am hoping to adjust the sweetness level and enjoy my coffee more. They also sell plants in this little shop so pick up a cafecito and look at the beautiful plants they have. If you are lost look for the pink door! read more
