Definitely a coffee shop you must go to ! Hands down satisfied guaranteed ! This is a place to be . 10/10 -pistachio cream einspanner with oat milk 5/5 - Re Coffee einspanner latte with oat milk 5/5 - peach iced tea 5/5 - Pastry : fruit danish 5/5 Outstanding customer service, very welcoming, very polite and with great energy, all with smiles . Clean environment, inside seating available, love how they have it laid out and great design . Great music ! Restrooms are available Parking available on street or parking structure across the street for additional parking . Definitely recommended to friends and family to give it a try I'll be back soon for more !
I was really excited to try this place, so I arrived just before opening and was able to order right away since there was no line yet. I understand this is a new establishment, but because most customers will be visiting for the first time, I think it's important that the person at the register is familiar with the menu and products. Unfortunately, the employee was brand new and wasn't able to answer any of my questions, repeatedly saying that they weren't sure and it was their first day. I definitely don't fault the employee, but it does point to a training issue. As a customer, not being able to get basic questions answered is a little off-putting and can make you hesitant to order. I also noticed crumbs from pastries throughout the seating area, which was surprising since I arrived right when they opened. There are a few tables, but they're positioned somewhat sideways, making them a little awkward and uncomfortable for sitting and hanging out for a while. I ordered the Einspänner, which was way too milky for my taste. The coffee flavor was barely noticeable, although I did appreciate that it wasn't overly sweet. If you prefer stronger coffee drinks, I'd probably skip this one. I also tried the house-brewed black coffee, which was just okay--nothing particularly memorable.
Delicious coffee and pastry! Came here early in the morning and there was a short line already. The interior is clean and aesthetic with a plentiful amount of employees behind the counter making drinks. I tried the peanut top iced coffee (less sweet) and it was the perfect sweetness for me. You are able to choose between whole milk/almond/oat milk substitutes. I got the whole milk. I will come back to try their other flavors!
The line can be crazy so if you're in a rush on a weekend, don't even try. But if you have time, I would definitely check this place out. I got an einspanner latte because that's what my friend recommended and it was delicious, as expected. I haven't rushed to go back yet (I've had einspanner lattes that taste similar, so it didn't stand out as something super original) but if I were in the area I would definitely return. They have stamp cards too! The barista who took my order was lovely and had good service.
Having been to the Northridge location a few times, going to Pasadena was more of a comparison experience to see which one is worth the traffic. Pros: the coffee was stronger even when I forgot the extra shot, the inside was big enough to accommodate the line, and there was generally just more space. Cons: the parking situation is worse. The northridge location has a free parking lot. Pasadena has paid street parking. We went in the morning on a Tuesday and it was still really packed! We waited 15-20 minutes in line but the wait for our drinks was very quick, less than 5 minutes. Verdict: I think the Pasadena location is great for anyone that doesn't want to drive out to the valley. It just won't be a regular spot for me due to the parking situation.
Trying their Einspanner before in Northridge and did recall it to be good so when I knew they now opened another spot in Pasadena, I just had to give it another go. Being relatively very new, the crowd went quite wild with line down the block and moved pretty slow (ugghh!). Once orders were made tho, they didn't take that long to be ready! Their venue wasn't huge, but providing good amount of seats and standing table for quick coffee stop. Prolly awesome idea so people didn't linger for too long esp if they stopped and got stuck with their screens. We went for their Peanut Cream Top and Mocha Cream Top, and loved both of them! The latte seemed to be unsweetened, letting the cream top's sweetness and flavor stood out. The coffee was pretty bold and aromatic for typical cream top drinks. Peanut flavor was yum yet not overpowering, similarly with the chocolate in the mocha. Def worth visiting but maybe wait till the hype toned down a bit to avoid long wait!
overall: I love the creativity of the drinks so I'll be back to try some of their other drinks. drinks: we got the matcha einspanner and re coffee einspanner. both drinks look super pretty. however, I think the cream top overpowered both drinks. the cream tops were both very heavy and I personally like cream tops that aren't too heavy. service: i went on a weekday late morning and it was pretty busy. drinks came out pretty quickly. seating: some seating inside but it's more of a hangout place than a place to do work. parking: no parking lot and unfortunately the closest parking is paid street parking.

I got there at 10am and the line went by quickly. Overall, trendy but drink quality was not on par with how aesthetic it looked.
Went to try this place on a Thursday morning and there was already a line outside. Got a pistachio croissant and a Re-coffee signature (I think that's what it's called, the first item on the menu). I asked for less sugar but it was still slightly too sweet for me. The croissant was just an average item, nothing too special about it. I think I will go back to try their matcha drinks.
Very good coffee to get if your in Pasadena. A tiny bit acidic taste but it doesn't take away from how delicious the Latte and Macha are. The staff is extremely polite and nice. Well worth mentioning that if you come at peek hours on a weekend, you will easily wait a good 20min in line.
I love a good cream top coffee and this definitely hit the spot. The coffee was perfectly sweetened, right amount of strong espresso, and the peanut flavor shines through in the cream top. It's a fairly small coffee shop with 4 tables. It's a grab and go spot. Street parking is very limited in Pasadena. I parked at the parking lot behind Ross, it's free.
I ordered one of RE Coffee's signature drinks, the Einspänner, and was very impressed. The coffee has a rich, deep flavor with a lingering aftertaste that stays with you, making every sip feel smooth and full-bodied. The creamy topping adds just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the coffee. The interior is clean, modern, and cozy, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. You can tell this place is popular with locals, as there's often a long line starting early in the morning, especially on weekends. Despite the wait, I think it's absolutely worth stopping by. The coffee is thoughtfully made, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place I'd come back to and recommend to anyone who appreciates good coffee!
We got the Re Coffee Einspanner and Pistachio Cream top/Einspanner and we weren't disappointed. The coffee is nice and strong, and has a good nutty flavor. The cream top is not too sweet and doesn't overpower the coffee. The line wasn't too bad, we waited maybe 15-20 minutes but our drinks came out fairly quickly. Some things to consider, parking is hard on Lake, but there's a parking lot just across where the Burlington Arcade is located, so you can walk right over (free for the first 90 minutes). I believe they're still in their soft opening hours, so they still close early, so plan to visit early on in the day. The service and the employees are quick and friendly, but keep in mind that alternative milk options are an added 0.75. There's a few pastries, but if you come early you'll be able to grab them. The shop and seating area are small so this is not the best place to do any studying or work, especially because they're still busy with soft opening. Overall a good experience, worth the visit and wait, and will be back to try out some of their other unique drinks!
Once again I have been fooled by the hype. Re:Coffee is a newly opened coffee shop replacing the old Twinkle Tea on Lake. Street parking only if you're lucky! Friend and I visited on a Friday at noon. While there was no line outside, there was a line inside + an entire wall of waiting people. The interior is incredibly loud and slightly overwhelming. They do have an aesthetic seating area that looks very uncomfortable - the tables are on your side? The inside was also very warm probably because of the sheer amount of people inside. The line to order goes down the middle of the space. They also have a small selection of pastries but with no indictation on what they were and it seems like a pain to ask the employee who had the most stoic and deadpan expression ever lol! The gen z stare is soooo real here. My friend and I ordered the pistachio matcha einspanner and the matcha einspanner. The wait was a little long but expected. First sip of my pistachio matcha einspanner gave me with a mouth full of chalky matcha. To be fair, the matcha was strong but just not mixed well and had both of us coughing at first. I also couldn't taste any pistachio in my matcha besides the pistachio crumbles. Overall, not worth the wait, not worth the price, and not worth the poor experience. (+) Coconut cream latte (+) Iced peach matcha Re Coffee is a coffee/tea shop that originates from the valley and just opened this location right in the heart of Pasadena. Known for their creativity, the flavors and quality shines even brighter. Drinks: I ordered the coconut cream top latte. Subtle coconut flavor. Emphasis on the coffee and very smooth. Would highly recommend. Wife ordered the iced peach matcha. Again, very smooth and the quality of the peach tea was excellent. You can taste the bitterness of the tea and matcha but enough sweetness to create a unique drink. Service/Ambiance: We had to wait about 30-45 minutes from when we got in line to when we received our drinks on a Wednesday morning. Super crowded so be ready to wait. Floors are clean and not too much room to sit down as people are standing and waiting around for their drinks. Overall, I would recommend Re coffee for their creativity and quality of ingredients they use. The coffee is good and they will do well in the Pasadena area. read more

3.5... overhyped. there was a good amount of matcha used but overall the cream top is too much it overpowers the taste of the matcha itself. also line was still out the door an hour before closing on a sunday afternoon. luckily free parking on sundays! read more

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and ended up waiting around 30 minutes for our drinks. We got the matcha and re coffee einspanner, both of which were above average but not as good as some other matchas and coffees that we've had in the area. There are a couple tables and seats inside, but I wouldn't study here because of how crowded and loud it gets. Overall, I would probably come back to try different drinks if I'm in the area again and once the line dies down. read more

Top tier cream top. Finally a good matcha option in pasadena. I stopped by over their opening weekend- there was a line but the drinks were worth it. We tried the matcha einspanner and coconut cream top and both were so delicious- excited to come back and try other things as well The staff are also really pleasant despite being so busy. So excited to have this coffee shop open! Coffee was delicious and so pretty! Love the atmosphere of the cafe and even though the line was long, the staff were very fast and friendly!!! Beautiful space too! Definitely going back! Hope to get another bear:) read more
