I really wanted to love this little cafe with plentiful outdoor space and friendly and fast service. It started to unravel when I sat down and took a sip of my iced honey cinnamon latte and immediately choked on an extremely heavy handed cinnamon topping. It wasn't a sprinkle, but rather as if someone had accidentally spilled more than a tablespoon of cinnamon on the top of my drink. To be fair, the cashier *had* asked if I wanted a straw, but as it was served in a sip cup, I declined. So then I got a straw, hoping, further crisis averted. But after a few sips, sadly, I realized two things: 1. It seemed (and tasted like) it was just a regular latte with a bunch of cinnamon poured on top instead of actually mixed in and "honey cinnamon" flavored & 2. The drink was basically 90% ice I thought, that's okay, sometimes it just goes that way trying a specialty iced coffee from a random cafe. Sometimes it's a miss. Then I unwrapped my sandwich, the Mozzafiato Italian Balboa. Which was listed on the menu for $18. From other Yelpers' photos it had looked like it had pillowy burrata/fresh mozzarella, but I realized quickly my second mistake: that the name did not indicate mozzarella cheese. And even though I had briefly paused to read the ingredients list on the menu, I totally misread it. The fluffy cheese I thought I saw in the photos was in fact mayonnaise. This sandwich was slathered with so much mayonnaise that it had to be at least 1/2c, maybe more?? Idk. It was just so much. I don't think I've ever had this much mayonnaise on a sandwich in my entire life. But, ah, now the photos made more sense. I sighed and decided to salvage what I could of this $18 sandwich and just pick out the deli meat and wipe the focaccia bread down with a napkin. And that's when I found a long, black hair. So I calmly wrapped up my sandwich, grabbed my cup full of cinnamon powder and ice, threw them both in the trash, and resignedly walked to my car. This entire endeavor an unfortunate miss. read more

Visited at lunch on a Saturday for the first time in awhile with wife, toddler, and friend since our friend had never been. Found seating outside but moved some plates ourselves from one table to another to find shade for us the kiddo. Grabbed a high chair and got seating set up. A few folks were setting up to play music out on the patio. We ordered inside as expected, thankfully the line wasn't too bad at that time so it went smoothly, though the prices are still higher than the average mom/pop sandwich place (but we anticipated this). We waited a bit for food while the patio band played. Ambience was pretty nice. Our friend's sandwich came out first and about 5 minutes later our food came. However, the Arnold Palmer we ordered didn't arrive with the food so we asked if they'd come back to bring it, and we were told they'd be right back. We waited probably another 5 minutes but drink still didn't come so I went inside to ask about it and saw the drink sitting on the back counter. So I asked staff if I could pick up the drink and they handed it over. Our friend's sandwich (the Jester) looked pretty filling while wife and I ordered/shared the Crown Jewel with cheese and mayo on the side. The Crown Jewel was pretty meh overall. Wasn't as stacked as the Jester and the bread fell apart as I ate it, despite the mayo on the side. At the end of eating someone came by to grab our order numbers and ask how things went. I commented on the wait for the drink and was told they couldn't find us, which sounded strange because they found us when bringing the sandwich and we still had our order number. But she said we could get a free refill. Since I wanted to take advantage of the refill I went inside to inquire but the order counter had gotten extremely busy. So I asked one of the bus/wait staff outside if they could grab my refill. He directed me inside and he commented how busy they were but I said I didn't want to wait in the huge line simply for a refill, so he offered to meet me inside to get the refill. Eventually I did receive the refill and we left. Overall, for the price of the food I felt the service was very average bordering on subpar, and the food was meh for the price. I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. My wife loves this spot. She always gets the Crown Jewel - house-braised and shredded chicken breast layered with vibrant pesto, creamy stracciatella and a touch of mayo for a rich, indulgent twist on a classic favorite. I try things here and there but my last visit I got their Bodega Breakfast Burrito which was a decent portion. Definitely a pricey spot but I do think they have good quality. I've passed by this place quite a few times on my drive and had always been curious about it. The cute patio caught my eye, and I saw people brunching, so I had no choice. I love a spot with a lot of character, which is exactly what this place is. Vibes immaculate, huge variety of coffee/matcha drinks, and fresh food all around. I went for breakfast burrito and my usual iced vanilla latte. Great combo. It tastes great, and I loved the salsa verde on the side. It was a good portion, and I left feeling satisfied. So glad I stopped by and finally tried their deli -- Good coffee and sandwiches. The short rib sandwich, which they refer to as "stack" comes in a BIG portion with flavors. Ordered Doordash and my order came quite fast - less than an hour! Got the San Marino sandwich ($23.40) and I was impressed by how big the sandwich was! The bread was so fresh and soft. The tuna salad had huge chunks of tuna and wasn't drenched with mayonnaise like how tuna salad sandwiches usually are at other places. The tuna salad was very delicious and packed with flavor! I was expecting the OG pesto sandwich I used to get from here when it was the previous cafe (Fiore). Fiores bread was heavenly. Freshly baked bread is no longer as someone who bakes fresh bread that's what kept me coming back. Prices are now higher $19 for the sandwich and you no longer get the side salad (which was a great lil meal) I know I shouldn't expect the exact same item from a different cafe but it was extremely underwhelming for me. Chicken was dry, not enough pesto and the lack of a soft freshly baked bread left me missing the previous Fiore's quality. Somehow my bread ended up getting super soggy and I had to eat with the fork n knife provided. Is that why is was provided? Likely won't come back to spend $30 on a solo lunch. $19 chicken sandwich additional $5 for tomato n bacon. And $8 matcha just ain't it. It's a tie when it comes to the best thing about Piccadilly Grace, between the amazing FOOD and CUTE, breezy, fun ambiance! If you like very tasty, but healthy/clean food, with special extra whole food ingredients that give the food pops of flavor, varying texture (crunch) and visual appeal - you will not be disappointed!! Piccadilly Grace not only doesn't skip a beat with curating their dishes, but they add some incredible touches that make everything so wonderful! These are some of the tastiest most wonderful salads I've ever had & you can't go wrong with ANY of them, but my current favorite is the Asian Crunch Salad! I just add avocado. It comes with a side of delicious bread pieces, which is a nice touch, but it's also really nice that they ask if you'd like it. I hate wasting food, so it's great that they ask. Speaking of their dishes, literally they have the cutest dishes too, as in ceramic dishes that again besides what's in the dishes, it adds to the visual appeal and it makes my experience so warm and welcoming. I should also mention that I've tried their wraps and sandwiches, they're amazing. The turkey chili - GET IT! So good and doesn't taste like turkey at all but it's not super greasy like beef chili. Back to the ambiance...there is no indoor seating here. All seating is in their surrounding patio and it is adorable and enjoyable. Wooden two-person or group tables and with single seat chairs. Umbrellas cover most of them and give shade. But on a hot summer day, with the sun beating, it could get a little uncomfortable if you're there too long at about 2pm. I've been there a few times on a Friday afternoon, and they have had a vocalist, pianist & saxophone player playing some cover songs and they are good! Makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I'm not someone who enjoys sweet drinks, but I can speak to their delicious brewed black iced tea. Perfection every time. Parking is easily found on the surrounding streets, close by and you can even score some shade if you're lucky to park under a tree. Last, but not least, the staff are really friendly, helpful and give great customer service and table side service. It is of course street parking but I didn't have much trouble finding any across the street (probably because I went so early in the morning). Street parking is decent for a busy downtown area, though it could be better. STRAWBERRY MATCHA: Honestly, if this review were based on the matcha alone, it would probably be a 1-2 star rating. I could barely taste the matcha, and based on the color, it didn't seem like high quality. The strawberry portion was just okay, but at $11.50 (per the Yelp menu), it's way overpriced. If you're really backed up then you need to tell people when they order "it's gonna be a 40 minute wait". I finally made it to this shop after having it bookmarked for ages and wow, I'm so glad I did. This corner sandwich joint is truly a hidden gem. I tried a few sandwiches during my visit - the Velvet Dilly (Brisket Pastrami), Burrata Caprese, and Marino (Tuna Salad) and each one had its own unique flavor profile but the Velvet Dilly stole the show. Damn these are some solid sandwiches. I'm a sucker for chicken pesto and the Crown Jewel did not disappoint. It's thick and moist and ever so filling. I was sad when I was done. Roast Beef sandwich was delish. The au jus was bit salty for me, but still yum yum in the tums. My friend got the Mozzafiato Italian Balboa. She didn't share with me, but it looked good. I'm disappointed she didn't offer to share like I did with her. I was upsold the Chicken Salad. We didn't want a big portion but the scoop apparently doesn't come with leaves. So, salad it is. We miss you Fiore. I saw the notice about the change of name on the beloved Fiore. It hurt so much! I've been coming to fiore since 2015. I worked 2 blocks away and ordered at least 2x a week. It became this establishment that brought joy into my life. I saw that things were going to change in the upcoming months and so we decided to grab our last favorite bites before it starts. Sadly it already started. My favorite sandwich was the rare roast beef with balsamic onions! When I'd see Bill I'd always ask for extra onions and he was say "isn't it the best" I got my sandwhich and it has a heavy horseradish mayo. Really dense bread and noooo balsamic onions! Should I cry? I might. I've taken out of towners, friends, coworkers, family, just about anyone that would ask me where can I get the best bite. It was Fiore. It will always be Fiore. read more

I found this place through a promotion they were running on Facebook. It's a pretty cool cafe like place, but sort of restaurant too. There's good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. You order first then grab a number and seat yourself. There's a variety of food options and cafe drinks including teas and coffee options. I have tried the vegetarian sandwich, and it was really good! The items tasted very fresh and it's a good size to share if you aren't looking to get super full. Parking is usually not hard to find I think, street parking around this area throughout. read more
