I'm super happy to report BBad is back! It looks like there was a change of management that might have lead to an off day as far as seasoning goes and a window of time where things were getting sorted out on the customer service end. The new management reached out and gave me a full refund on our order. I really appreciated them making things right considering how much time had past between when I left the review and when I imagine the new management took over. I also really appreciated the fact that they didn't just give me a refund, but explained to me that they were really sorry about the experience I had and the reason why it happened. This is, to me, is the sign of a business that really cares and is trying to make things right. Now on to the food! After we received the refund my oldest son was begging me to grab a burrito before we left, he's 3. Despite not having a ton of time on my hands I snagged a couple burritos and prayed that they would be just as delicious and flavorful as I originally remembered them. I'm happy to say they were! I got the chili Verde and the bacon burritos and both were delicious, perfectly salted this time around if I might add . So anyways, here's to making things right! Hands down the BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO I've ever had. And my husband and son literally have a father/son tradition of Saturday morning "burrito boys" where they visit different burrito joints in LA. I got the "Basic Bae-Con" although there's nothing basic about this breakfast burrito. The chipotle aioli is to die for. And the crunchy potatoes were perfectly balanced and gave a good texture to the burrito This churro latte was also PERFECT. Perfect flavor, ratio of milk/cream, and espresso. I didn't realize they had 2 hour free validated parking until I walked up and saw their sign. But there's plenty of street parking nearby as well. I also asked for extra of their light green salsa. 5 stars for BBAD - Breakfast Burrito All Day! I got the Chile Verde with braised pork and really enjoyed it. The potatoes pavé were easily the star of the burrito for me. They had a nice crunch on the outside and added a great texture and flavor to every bite. The braised pork was super tender, although it was a little too rich for my taste and kind of overpowered the chile verde sauce and some of the other flavors in the burrito. The very high reviews are well deserved. Yes, the burritos are pricey ( like everything else these days) but they are high quality. They are also not small. They are not enormous, either. I think the size was perfect. We tried the Chile Verde with Braised Pork and it was excellent. It was deeply flavorful. This is essentially a gourmet burrito. It contains juicy pork, potatoes and scrambled eggs. There is no filler. We also tried the Basic Bae-con (bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, potatoes, chipotle aioli) and it was also very good. Once again, there is no filler. I think I preferred the Chile Verde burrito over the Bae because it was significantly different than your everyday burrito. Neither was the slightest bit greasy. They were both crazy fresh. The horchata was a slight letdown. It was clearly housemade but a little thin. It also could have been more flavorful. You need to be patient after ordering. I would guesstimate a good 10 minutes from ordering on the kiosk to pickup. Take this opportunity to explore the attached hotel lobby. The building is literally a 100 years old this year (2026) and the lobby is lovely. The hype is well deserved. These are excellent burritos. read more

One of my favorite breakfast burrito spots that I haven't been to in a while. They are now under new ownership so I had to come check it out to see if it still hits. I was pleased to see that they still have some of the same staff and are using the same ingredients and recipes. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And I really love the potato pavè that they use inside. A lot of people complain that the burritos aren't that big, but they don't have to be with such quality ingredients. My absolute favorite is the mushroom chorizo. Super tasty with all of their sauces and you can't go wrong with a tres leches latte. Chile Verde with Braised Pork: Inside the chewy flour tortilla, the creamy, fluffy, scrambled eggs and the crispy potatoes provide the breakfast in this burrito. The potato pavé squares are time intensive labors of love. (A pavé is a rectangular block of many thin layers of potato that looks like a tiny accordion.) Fried until golden brown, they add a wonderful crunch to the soft fillings. The braised pork contains a blend of pork shoulder and pork belly slowly roasted fruit six hours. There's great flavor and marbling from the shoulder and the belly makes it rich and juicy. The little tub of chile verde is sweet and delicious from the tomatillos and caramelized onions. One tub is not enough. The red salsa is also good. Dining Area: The tiny corner spot has a few seats along the back counter. The hotel also has a courtyard. They both seemed to be scrambling to hand off prior orders which I don't have a problem at all waiting for my turn, but it was pretty much one handing off the bag of food to the other then handing it to the customer. They both didn't need to do one person's job. Once they acknowledged me they had my order on the pick-up shelf. It's a hefty burrito and filled will. But for $17 it hardly had any cheese, and the bare minimum aioli or sour cream was at the last few bites of the burrito, not evenly dispersed. The bacon was super crunchy, the potatoes were very crispy, the eggs were a bit dry, and overall the flavor was solid. But the side salsa sucked. Parking: You can park in the hotel parking structure (B1, B2, and 2nd level), then enter via elevator. There's metered/paid street parking along Colorado Blvd. Bbad has a street-level entrance as well. Food: I got the chile verde burrito $17, which has slow-cooked pork. It is on the salty side, especially as I got down to the end of the other side of the burrito. I chose to get scrambled eggs. The potato wedges inside were crispy! I highly recommend eating this while still hot otherwise the potato's will be soggy. They gave me 3 different sauces to try. None of them were spicy. The brown one was pretty good. Forks and knives and napkins are on the bench/counter. Limited indoor seating here, but you can take the food to the hotel lobby or courtyard. You can order via one of the two kiosks. The pork was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, but the potato pavé was what really caught my attention. It added a crisp texture that you don't usually get in a breakfast burrito. We heard so much about this place on social media that we had to try it out. Be aware that LA offers A LOT of great breakfast burritos. There is a lot of competition out there. That being said, we've tried many breakfast burritos and Bbad is ok in my book. That may seem harsh but it's the truth. If it wasn't for the atmosphere and hotel where you can eat it, this would have been a 3-star for the burrito itself. We got the Chile Verde and Basic Bae con. As you can see from the pictures, really not too exciting in terms on ingredients and flavors. I do like the way the potatoes are made like thin sheets and then fried. Other than that, the sauce on the Basic Bae Con was unexpected especially with a basic breakfast burrito. What I will say is the ambiance of eating inside the hotel lobby or outside patio made up for the cost of each burrito; by today's standards is pretty high for eggs, tortillas, potatoes and meat. I think this is a genius play to serve breakfast burritos all day. I love a good burrito and can eat eggs for all three meals of the day. I had seen so many articles raving about this place and was really waiting for an opportunity to try it. It is within a hotel and street parking is quite simple, plus the hotel allows you to enjoy the lobby or courtyard while you wait for your food if you are getting take out. The meats are slow cooked and the potato cubes are impossibly crispy. The eggs are smooth and creamy. It just screams high quality and cheffy food. I really liked the salsa verde. Next time I will check if there is a spicier option as it was a little mild for me given the rich food. It would be nice to cut it with a spicy or salsa. Service was wonderful, especially since I got there minutes before closing. I tried the vegan horchata which personally for me was way too sweet but it is nice to have it as an option. I had to go. it is a small food counter, with a limited menu and a few dining chairs to eat in. The bonus here is that you can pick up your burrito and go to the small but impressive hotel lobby or the elegant courtyard to eat. I got the Basic Bae-con Burrito. Composed of potatoes pavé, housemade hot sauce, chipotle aioli, sour cream, cheese & three eggs (scrambled in my case, or over-easy, is the alternative) on a flour tortilla. I suppose I came here with high expectations because of the LA Times review. The tortilla was elastic, chewy and perfectly prepared. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, but with no egg taste. Hardly any bacon. The potatoes are touted to be special, in prep and construction. In my burrito, they lacked the crispness or the density to create an impact. I had only two fractured cubes that were gummy and unevenly distributed to one corner of the hand held. It's a small shop with some bar stool seating. They are a cashless facility... card only! They specialize in breakfast burritos all day long which is great. Their menu is small, but mighty with good choices. I got their mushroom churizo (vegan) recommended by the friendly lady staff who took my order and an iced horchata. Wait time was decent. Burrito was delish and worth every penny! Good amount of eggs and mushroom. Sauce was plentiful. I was slightly disappointed about my drink though... I forgot to ask for no ice. I asked the lady to remove the ice. After she removed the ice, the drink was almost half gone. That's just ridiculous IMHO. The lady staff did not offer to remake the drink for me. I just let it be. Anyway, I had to ask for water since I only got a few sips from my horchata drink. Their water machine broke or something so I had to get water from the Pasadena Hotel lobby.
