Cheesy egg toast & golden latte
    Alissa A.

Words cannot even begin to describe how much I love this place. Not only do they have the best Matcha latte in town but their customer service is *chef's kiss*. I always feel so welcomed and cared for when I come in. Ivan and Jason and the entire crew are absolute rockstars and make this place so special. It's also got the cutest decor and outdoor seating that's perfect for catching up with a friend or a study session. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open longer! Other than that, it's stellar coffee spot and worth visiting whenever you're in the Pasadena area. Cheers

I love this spot! I come here all the time to get breakfast and sometimes lunch to-go for work. The staff are the absolute best -- Isabell always puts a smile on my face and seems to remember everyone! I've tried almost everything on the menu by now and have never been disappointed. They always make a solid latte and their pastries are fresh baked daily. Very dog-friendly, indoor / outdoor cafe seating. My Frenchie especially loves the baked dog biscuits.

    EGG SALAD SANDWICH

Love this neighborhood gem! I come for the best egg salad sandos and espresso, aaaand cuz the folks who work here are lovely. They balance quick and personal--Isabel was the first to remember my name each visit and set the tone. Jason brings the most enthusiasm and is always taking care of details, like making sure tables are spotless. Noah is calm and kind, shooing a visiting June bug out the window rather than squishing it (truly cementing my loyalty to Superba). And Alex will wax philosophical about life and music without missing a (service) beat.

WHEN: Fri @10:30am PRO: + They have their own parking lot with free parking + Plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors + Variety of food, pastries, and drinks + Free WiFi + 2 Restrooms CON: - Some seatings me be directly in the sun - Limited to no outlets to charge devices Overall, I think this is a great place to get work done as long as you bring your own back up battery.

First time and probably the last time. Pricy. The mocha latte was so so, better when i added a sugar packet, but served in such a small cup. Another pricy item when I ordered a roasted chicken sandwich which unexpectedly was cold and came sandwiched between untrusted bread (not sure if that's supposed to be served that way). The egg salad sandwich was better. At least there was a small parking lot. The interior is nice. They also have outdoor seating available. The guy in the army shirt was nice and had good customer service. Meanwhile the blond lady in the purple shirt was curt, not rude but should not belong up front at the register.

    BREAKFAST BURRITO

Stumbled across this breakfast place! Was in the area and wanted a quick coffee + food spot. Glad we made the stop, food was delicious and we ended up eating outside on the patio.

Cute little breakfast spot. It's pretty quiet in there as many people are working on laptops or eating alone. Got a breakfast sandwich and a few pastries; everything was good but I didn't get to try their drinks. Would come back to pick up a quick bite if I'm in the area again!

    Orange Juice

I visited on a Friday around noon, there was no line, just a few people inside working on their laptops. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which came with two sauces and I added a side of tater tots. The burrito was good, with black beans, pico de gallo, and cheese melted on the outside that added a crispy layer. The orange juice was fresh! Overall, a good spot for a quick bite!

I've driven by this place many times and always say, "What is Superba?" Well, I finally decided to stop by and find out. Superba is a Latin adjective that means superb. This quaint café serves coffee & pastries in addition to breakfast & lunch. They also sell fresh artisanal bread. The space has a modern feel with an open-air aesthetic and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived when they first opened to grab a coffee before hitting the gym. Ave & Tim greeted me enthusiastically. The smell of freshly baked goods was lovely. I ordered a Spanish Latte. The made to order madeleines sounded tempting, but I'm a sucker for a crumb topping so I got a slice of the blueberry coffee cake. My latte was delicious. It had a subtle taste of cinnamon, and the foam was rich & creamy. The coffee cake was moist with lots of fresh blueberries, and the crumb topping added a touch of sweetness. Thank you Ava & Tim for the Superba customer service! I'll have to come back for the madeleines. *Parking lot behind the building. *Dog friendly

I popped by for a quick coffee and was intrigued by what kind of snacks were in store. I easily found parking in the lot behind the building. There is a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly, and seating inside as well. I walked up to the counter and kind of stood there for a while before I was acknowledged. The employees were having what sounded like a pretty in depth conversation. I definitely felt like they waiting to finish their conversation before helping me. Once the cashier was ready to take my order, zero pleasantries. For how cute and welcoming this place seemed when I walked in, that immediately changed once I had this interaction. I just ordered a cold brew to go, but I noticed their pastries looked really delicious and there were plenty of options between savory and sweet. Superba seems like more of a grab and go type of spot, or maybe if you wanted to bring your computer and get some work done. It's got a casual and approachable appearance, but I got the "we're too cool to serve you" vibe. Kind of a bummer because it seems like this place is pretty well liked. On the bright side, coffee was good!

    CHEESY EGG TOAST
    Natalie M.

Went for coffee and breakfast. Had a delicious cheesy eggs on toast (sourdough toast, scrambled eggs with white cheddar, scallions on top) and a cup of coffee. Very satisfying but I wish they had condiments out. Like salt, pepper, ketchup, hot sauce, milk/cream. You have to ask, and I felt bad asking because they were busy. Service was very quick. You order at the counter then they call your name. Nice seating area indoor/outdoor. Parking in back.

Despite the sidewalk swell of hungry patrons, our party was swept into a booth with a speed that felt less like luck and more like a well-oiled logistical triumph. The aesthetic is a love letter to the mid-century diner: a curated "old school" charm that avoids the trap of kitsch, opting instead for a warm, lived-in nostalgia. It is the kind of room that feels as though it has been buffering the neighborhood's hangovers and triumphs for decades. The Service: A Masterclass in Restraint Our server possessed that rare, intuitive sense of timing--the "attentive ghost" who appears exactly as a coffee cup hits empty but vanishes before the conversation loses its momentum. In an era where "helicopter hospitality" can feel suffocating, the staff here maintains a refreshing brevity. We arrived with a picky eater. My toddler, will not eat if it's isn't familiar. So luckily the kitchen didn't falter, pivoting seamlessly to a bowl of jewel-toned strawberries that bought the table ten minutes of blissful silence. Enough time to scarf down my pancake. Delicate bacon and perfectly scrambled eggs. Russell's doesn't need to reinvent the breakfast wheel; it simply polishes it until it shines. It is a reliable anchor in a sea of over-conceptualized brunches. One doesn't merely eat here; one joins a rhythm. I'll be back for an encore.

Bravo Oh La La... à bientôt
