They have very good lattes at this coffee shop. I'm working across the street for a week and I've been visiting Bevel every morning to get their iced cardamom lattes. I think the drink is very good. It cost about $7.68 for one latte which is on the pricey side, but it's average for LA coffee shops. They also have a wide range of other coffee drinks and they have a pastry case of goodies. There is some seating indoors and some seating outdoors as well. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the line moves quickly, and the drinks are made pretty fast! Overall, it's definitely worth a stop if you need a caffeine boost!

Bevel is such a hidden gem! I went on a Saturday around 10 am and there was a line. It's quite small inside but it's efficient. The matcha latte was solid. I really wish they changed their cups. You can see in the photo that it was spilling everywhere. I went back and got a fresh cup and again it spilled all over. The croissant was also solid. You could taste the high quality ingredients. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by to try some of the coffee everyone raves about.

I visited on a weekday morning and found a parking spot right in front of the building. I was instantly greeted by very friendly employees. I ordered a mocha and they made sure it was dairy free which I really appreciated. The inside is very beautifully painted and I had to sit and enjoy the artwork. The mocha was so tasty as was the vegan gluten free carrot cake donut I ordered. When I left the employees said goodbye to me which was so nice!

So happy to visit their new shop for the first time! Music is jamming and coffee is brewing. It was a warm welcome from staff. I love the coffee and tried their Queen Bee latte with oat milk. It's just the right amount of sweetness if you're not in to sugary coffee drinks. I do have to give a spotlight to their gorgeous pastries. I grabbed a pistachio croissant and onion biscuit. This was a cozy treat to myself. Next time I definitely want to have their hot brewed coffee and just relax outside. Can't wait to go back.

I love their new space! There is plenty of seating inside and so many options to choose from! I got the matcha latte and it was amazing! I have had their coffee over the years and it's just so good! I'll be back for more!

Came here on a Sunday morning with my best friend to support local business and grab me a pick me up. Bevel is located at Prime Pizza. They have plenty of parking and seating. Rise & Shine! I ordered the Queen Bee. It was smooth, balanced, and not too sweet. Delicious. I noticed there was another pop up, Casa, a take on Mexican cuisine. You can tell the owners care about the community to utilize the space and even unionize, which is really admirable. Check this spot out, definitely worth stopping by.

Stopped by the new location in Altadena and I just beat the morning rush! I love the new location and the decor inside. They are really in touch with their roots and it shows with the interior, logo design, and most importantly through their coffee. I had the Queen Bee and it is absolutely delicious and it still retains that coffee flavor without it being too overly sweet. I loved the drink so much that I bought a coffee pack myself so I can make some Bevel flavored coffee at home. The coffee is all locally roasted in Altadena too. I am so glad they opened and I am beyond happy for the crew over there!

I love Bevel! I went to the new location Saturday and the vanilla elderflower latte was super tasty. The quad Americano got two thumbs up from a close friend. I also know from past pop-up experiences that Bevel's cold brew is super smooth and packs a punch. Absolutely worth a try; I'm so happy to have a well-loved coffee shop close by!

Great local shop experience that pops up on select days at the same location as Prime Pizza. I've tried different drinks from them and they really know their stuff. Make sure to come early because their pastries sell out fast and they pair perfectly with the drinks. Outdoor seating only, but the views and location are great. A solid Altadena and Pasadena local coffee spot.

Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk
    Tara O.

Bevel Coffee is truly the coffee of my dreams, and it will surely be a regular spot for my husband and I's caffeine fix. The energy and level of customer service is exactly what Altadena needs. There is clear intention around not just serving superior coffee, which they certainly do as well, but fostering community. The interactions with staff and the drinks themselves are equally crafted with so much care. We came in the day after the grand opening and tried an iced cardamom latte with oat milk and an iced lavender latte with oat milk. I absolutely love that they make their syrups in-house. Both drinks were perfection. The cardamom was very light and complimented their espresso perfectly without competing. It simply enhanced the drink rather than masking it as some flavored lattes can do. I am admittedly a bit picky when it comes to my lavender lattes, but this was genuinely the best lavender latte I've ever had. It was not overly sweet; it was so refreshing with the calming and aromatic essence of real lavender. The espresso here is bold and absolutely delicious.

This local favorite has carved a reputation for exceptional specialty coffee and a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps me coming back again and again. My absolute favorite drink here is the Fancy Iced Latte -- it's perfectly balanced, refreshing, and never too sweet while still highlighting the rich espresso flavor. Locals and visitors alike often rave about the quality of the coffee and the care that goes into every cup. When it comes to food, the turkey and provolone croissant is a personal favorite -- flaky, buttery, and packed with savory goodness that pairs wonderfully with a cold latte. I also love the everything bagel danish; it's deliciously unique, with a satisfying savory twist that hits the spot in the morning. Both pastries reflect the same thoughtful quality you see in their coffee offerings. The vibe here is cozy and welcoming, with knowledgeable, friendly staff and a neighborhood energy that makes it easy to relax or get some work done. Unincorporated has become a cherished part of the community, and I can confidently say it's one of the best coffee experiences in the area. And this place qualifies. Had the champurrado latte and it was excellent -- smooth, balanced, and actually tastes good and not overly milky and Not overly sweet, not burnt, not trying too hard. Just well-executed. The space is clean, calm, and feels intentional -- which already puts it ahead of most spots in the San Gabriel Valley. Outside of a few places in Pasadena, real specialty coffee is rare around here, so this was a pleasant surprise. They also sell quality beans to go (huge plus), and the staff is friendly enough -- maybe a little edge here and there, but that's basically part of the modern coffee shop experience at this point. I came for the coffee anyway. Bottom line: this is one of the very few places in the area actually doing it right. I'll happily keep coming back to -- Elite badge or not.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.
