Altadena has a big piece of my heart! I think it's important to continue to support the community and local businesses. This was my first time at Bevel. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of space to sit inside and out. Our orders came out quick. I ordered the Queen Bee Latte with oat milk. It was delicious and I will be back to order it again.

Bevel is such a hidden gem! I went on a Saturday around 10 am and there was a line. It's quite small inside but it's efficient. The matcha latte was solid. I really wish they changed their cups. You can see in the photo that it was spilling everywhere. I went back and got a fresh cup and again it spilled all over. The croissant was also solid. You could taste the high quality ingredients. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by to try some of the coffee everyone raves about.

They have very good lattes at this coffee shop. I'm working across the street for a week and I've been visiting Bevel every morning to get their iced cardamom lattes. I think the drink is very good. It cost about $7.68 for one latte which is on the pricey side, but it's average for LA coffee shops. They also have a wide range of other coffee drinks and they have a pastry case of goodies. There is some seating indoors and some seating outdoors as well. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the line moves quickly, and the drinks are made pretty fast! Overall, it's definitely worth a stop if you need a caffeine boost!

Wow! From start to finish! Customer service was excellent!! Been wanting to try this place out for a while now and had the chance to finally go! My husband and I ordered one of their signature drinks: vanilla elderflower latte and two croissants: a pistachio covered croissant and everything croissant with cream cheese inside! Omg everything was absolutely amazing!!! Super delicious! We enjoyed the lattes and croissants! Street parking is available, I didn't see any parking lots nearby but there's plenty of street parking. Would definitely recommend and would come back again when I'm in the area!

I visited on a weekday morning and found a parking spot right in front of the building. I was instantly greeted by very friendly employees. I ordered a mocha and they made sure it was dairy free which I really appreciated. The inside is very beautifully painted and I had to sit and enjoy the artwork. The mocha was so tasty as was the vegan gluten free carrot cake donut I ordered. When I left the employees said goodbye to me which was so nice!

Came here on a Sunday morning with my best friend to support local business and grab me a pick me up. Bevel is located at Prime Pizza. They have plenty of parking and seating. Rise & Shine! I ordered the Queen Bee. It was smooth, balanced, and not too sweet. Delicious. I noticed there was another pop up, Casa, a take on Mexican cuisine. You can tell the owners care about the community to utilize the space and even unionize, which is really admirable. Check this spot out, definitely worth stopping by.

So happy to visit their new shop for the first time! Music is jamming and coffee is brewing. It was a warm welcome from staff. I love the coffee and tried their Queen Bee latte with oat milk. It's just the right amount of sweetness if you're not in to sugary coffee drinks. I do have to give a spotlight to their gorgeous pastries. I grabbed a pistachio croissant and onion biscuit. This was a cozy treat to myself. Next time I definitely want to have their hot brewed coffee and just relax outside. Can't wait to go back.

super cute lil cafe for great coffee and voibes. there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and the drinks were very yummy! i appreciated how well-balanced the lattes tasted. the queen bee is definitely one of my favorite honey lattes by far. there's also outlets for those who want to work or study at the cafe!

Top of the morning - couldn't do without a positive cheer and good vibes. The next time I make it in I am going to buy a t-shirt.

Great local shop experience that pops up on select days at the same location as Prime Pizza. I've tried different drinks from them and they really know their stuff. Make sure to come early because their pastries sell out fast and they pair perfectly with the drinks. Outdoor seating only, but the views and location are great. A solid Altadena and Pasadena local coffee spot.

Sapling Espresso Tonic

I love their espresso tonic. I had Sapling Espresso Tonic today, it's refreshing, perfect drink for hot afternoon.

Stopped by the new location in Altadena and I just beat the morning rush! I love the new location and the decor inside. They are really in touch with their roots and it shows with the interior, logo design, and most importantly through their coffee. I had the Queen Bee and it is absolutely delicious and it still retains that coffee flavor without it being too overly sweet. I loved the drink so much that I bought a coffee pack myself so I can make some Bevel flavored coffee at home. The coffee is all locally roasted in Altadena too. I am so glad they opened and I am beyond happy for the crew over there!

I love Bevel! I went to the new location Saturday and the vanilla elderflower latte was super tasty. The quad Americano got two thumbs up from a close friend. I also know from past pop-up experiences that Bevel's cold brew is super smooth and packs a punch. Absolutely worth a try; I'm so happy to have a well-loved coffee shop close by!

I got it with vanilla cold foam, which was super sweet and surprisingly thick, almost a little gooey but I liked it! My dad got the iced oat latte and loved it, so we were both happy with our drinks. The matcha foam was literally pulling with the straw like slime :/ I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was disappointing. When I asked the girl at the front if the matcha was supposed to look like that, she said yes because they apparently put something in it to make it thick. She did offer to remake it, but I said no because if the texture was intentional, wouldn't a replacement have been just as slimy? I was later offered a free drink if I emailed them 24 hours in advance. I'll give an extra star for the offer, but no thanks. After getting sick and having such a bad experience, I don't understand why I'd willingly come back for another drink.

This did not disappoint! I got the pandan latte. Definitely heavier on the vanilla flavor but the pandan still comes through. My mom got the crème brulee latte and it was probably one of the better ones I've had. It wasn't just sweet - you could get the essence of that burnt sugar topping. For food we had the spam kimchi cheese croissant and it was so good! The croissant was nice and flaky. There was the perfect ratio of filling. It is a very craveable sandwich. All of this in itself deserved a 5 star review already, but one more thing happened I need to mention. We were just about to leave and I wanted a straw in my drink. I want to put it in the lid and instead I spilled it all over the counter. A woman who I presumed to be the owner immediately came over to clean the mess and told the girl at the counter to remake me a new drink. Given I was taking care of my mom and my daughter today, that small kindness meant a lot to me. Overall, highly recommend Dash. Good coffee and good people.

I always come here to get a matcha latte, and they do it just right with not too much sugar. They also have variety of eatery and after regular breakie they also sell beer and have a bar! I been coming here every week for their matcha if I have time and just some nice pastry to go with it. A lot of people come here to have their morning routine, they have indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice since people with dogs are able to bring their pets on not too hot days. I really like the concept of this place being a coffee shop during the day and a brewery later on. It gives the space a relaxed, chill atmosphere that I can appreciate. Unfortunately, the food and drinks just didn't do it for me this time. I ordered the $9 sub, which was premade and had that unmistakable straight-from-the-fridge hard bread situation. Plus, it could use some mayo, or at least some kind of sauce. For $9, I expected better and definitely wouldn't spend the money on it again. The hojicha latte was another miss. I've had hojicha plenty of times and usually love its smooth, roasty flavor, but this one wasn't sweet or creamy enough for my taste and came across a little too straight-up. The raspberry cream on top didn't add much flavor either. I also grabbed a day-old pastry. It was pretty hard and had a slightly stale crème-brûlée-like top, although I'll give it credit -- once warmed up, it was actually pretty delicious. Overall, 3 stars. I like the concept and the convenience, but unfortunately nothing I had was quite good enough to make me want to come back anytime soon.

I wonder if using their higher-quality Uji matcha would take this drink to the next level and make it a home run. I'd also be curious to try it with whole milk to see how that plays with the other flavors. Overall, though, this was a fun drink to try and a great cup in its own right. I absolvely love how unique and well-balanced this particular drink is - with its Ethiopian cold brew and orange blossom water. What stood out to me was how the zestiness of the orange/lemon/and lime combined complemented the richness of the cold brew. The sugar adds just enough sweetness without overpowering the coffee. I must have ordered the Sicily so many times that they should just name the coffee after me. The staff here is wonderful and the baristas genuinely seem passionate about what they're serving. I know what I like so I haven't gotten around to experimenting with the other coffees, but I can feel the intention behind the menu! Mandarin 2 has a very minimalist aesthetic, and the space is on the smaller side. There are few tables, some smaller stool seating, and a standing counter. I would look elsewhere if you're hunkering down for a place to work but if you're looking for a lively chat with friends, this would be the spot. There is soft, upbeat music playing and this place is popular so people come and go! For Pasadena, parking is surprisingly easy because this is located closer to the edge of the city near a residential neighborhood. Peacocks also frequent this residential neighborhood, which is a fun sight to see. Mandarin 2 is like the cool sibling that I look up to, visionary and cool! This place is definitely on my list of coffee shops for my weekly fix and worth checking out.
