It is nicely decorated with plants and is very unassuming. We ended up getting la chancla and a latte. They were delicious and a great way to start the day. We waited on comfy leather chairs and just caught up as we waited. It did not take long and the staff was super friendly. They also had patience since we had no idea what to order. Nono is such a cute place with the nicest staff! I came on a Sunday morning and it was already filled but the line went by fast. We got two pastries which were delicious! I got the matcha/horchata drink and it was okay. I think it tasted more horchata vs matcha. I wish it was a stronger taste. I'll definitely be back during the winter months, it's such a cozy place! Cute little location that grand open about three months ago in South Pasadena. It is a mainly a Mexican coffee shop that is very upbeat. They also serve delicious pastries made fresh daily. There are about eight little tables inside. Some do have electrical outlets. Outdoors has about 10 small tables outside. This is located right near the Metro train so you can hear the train very clearly. Pretty large parking lot for about 20 cars behind the shop and plenty of free street parking. I ordered the chai latte cold. It taste on par and very satisfying. I tried one of their pastries, and it is very fresh crispy and good. LA literally knows NO STOP in offering something new every single week. Another newcomer in Pasadena area and this time it's bringing Mexican touch. Loving the earthy vibe the venue carried with mix of seats with table and cozy couches. Prolly because of the crowd as well as being relatively new, took some time to get the drinks ready but fortunately we weren't rushing. We got their top 2 favorites, Monte Blanco or their version of Cream Top Cold Brew with Orange hint and Cafe de Olla, as well as La Chancla which was kinda like mocha with orange and cacao nibs. The first one was totally for those fancying something light and refreshing, not overly sweet with clean aftertaste. Worry not that it featured cafe de olla since the spice wasn't strong, more like cinnamony, which suited me. I did love the second one better, which uniquely let both the coffee and chocolate flavors stood out at same time. I had a memorable, positive experience at Nono Cafe (South Pasadena). I ordered the Monte Blanco ($7.75 - 20oz). It's cold brew, cafe de olla, and orange cold foam. It's clean, crisp energy that becomes more potent with time. The caffeine felt really strong after 45 minutes had passed. And its strength continued to grow. WOW! I also recommend sipping directly from the cup because it immensely improves the coffee's flavor. This layered coffee is very bright and refreshing. It's like sipping orange juice infused with a fresh, silky coffee roast. I don't recommend using a straw. (Important: Cash is NOT accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Nono Cafe (South Pasadena) on Tuesday (around 10:14AM). Parking is free and available. There's a cramped customer lot (about 18 parking spaces). The sign says, "2 Hour Parking - 7AM to 6PM." There's also free, competitive neighborhood parking. Staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and diligent. Staff politely answered all my questions, and Staff worked quickly. My coffee took about three minutes. Fast!! On ambiance, Nono Cafe (South Pasadena) is clean, popular, and comfortable. However, the location can become very echoey and loud when there's a lot of chatting people. The location is very clean and well-ventilated. This business also has utility. There's about seven interior tables and two counters. There's customer internet with password; details are written on the wall with the "favorites menu." There's about six electrical outlets, and there's a gender neutral restroom. When the chatting lessens, customers are also able to hear a soft jazz instrumental music. Overall, I appreciate Nono Cafe (South Pasadena). The coffee is thoughtful, and the caffeine's latent power is immense. I found myself enjoying this experience even more as I reflect. Cool Meixcan-inspired coffee shop in South Pasadena with lots of ethnic charm and authenticity. Quiet area and easy parking in their spacious lot. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were warm and welcoming. The wait was reasonable. They have standard espresso based drinks and some unique Mexican herbal drinks that I will have to try next time. They also offer savory breakfast dishes including a vegan option! There are plenty of indoor seats along the walls and windows. Came here with my husband on a Saturday at 2 pm. The aesthetic is cute. Plenty of seating and tables. Felt fresh in there and they have a lot of nice plants. The wait wasn't bad , we waited ten minutes for two drinks and a burrito. The staff were nice. The drinks were ok. The matchata was horchata and matcha- it sounds good but the horchata grains were too much it kept making my throat feel dry. La chancla was espresso with abuelita it tasted like abuelita and chocolate milk. The food was ok. We ordered el norteño burrito. In the menu it said it had pulled beef but there was none in mine it was just undercooked black beans and moist scrambled eggs with extra dry tortilla and a side of sauce. Outstanding service with super patient and knowledgeable baristas :) They walked me through the menu and gave suggestions- I love that they have non dairy options for most of their drinks and they have unique creations like the limited-time Pride special Machita (Jarritos with matcha cold foam). Ñoño Cafe is a Latino-owned coffee shop that took over the Charlie's Coffee House space near the train tracks. It is currently in soft opening mode. I see promise, but they still seem a bit unorganized and green. For drinks, choose from classic espresso drinks, drip coffee, chai, yerba mate, and special drinks with Latino flavors like the machata (matcha + horchata), quesadilla (corn atole, cojita foam), and the cafeta (espresso and cajeta). No pour over coffee. For food, choose from pastries (muffins, danish, pastelito), breakfast burritos, and pan dulce. There is no kithen but items can be reheated for you. Egg, cheese & potato breakfast burrito ($9.50): This was a small burrito but very flavorful. It did take 10 minutes to reheat (the burrito was premade) which felt like a long time. The eggs were folded like an omelette. It came with a green salsa. Latte ($5.25 for 12 oz): looked very light in color, no foam art, smooth but didn't have a strong enough coffee flavor (i.e., weak flavor). The beans are supplied by a local roaster, Picaresa of Boyle Heights. The space feels like someone's living room. It's cozy and nice. They play vinyl records. My friends and I went on Saturday. I got the chilaquiles verdes and "La Chancla" iced coffee. - the drink "la chancla" probably the best iced coffee I've had... I never finish my drinks but this one? It took me a few hours but I could not leave a sip behind. There's hints of orange and nice little cacao nibs that add great depth to the drink. -chilaquiles: delicious! For 14 dollars I would have loved an egg for protein, but the beans were just right not too savory and the cream and queso complimented the dish well. First time at Nono, and I really loved the location. It's right in the heart of South Pasadena, and they have their own parking lot, which is always a nice bonus. The customer experience was just okay. I was new to the menu and had a few questions, but the worker didn't seem too enthusiastic about explaining the options. The food was also just okay. I tried the Reyna Wrap, but it felt like there was more tortilla than filling. I also got the Café de Olla hot drip with oat milk, which was realgood. The inside was definitely my favorite part. It's super cute and cozy, with a good amount of seating and lots of natural light. There's also free WIFI and multiple outlets. Overall, I'd probably come back. Met up with a friend today for coffee at Nono's in South Pasadena. To my surprise, Charlie's is gone, and Nono's has taken its place. This isn't your typical coffee shop. They specialize in Latin-inspired warm drinks with unique flavors. I ordered the Café de Olla. It wasn't what I was used to, but it was absolutely delicious--sweet, bold, and full of flavor, with a tangy finish and subtle hints of orange. My friend isn't a coffee drinker and asked for tea, but they don't serve it. The young woman working there went out of her way to accommodate her, patiently going through the menu until my friend decided to try the Abuela's Turmeric drink. She really enjoyed it. We also shared the cheese and guava pastry, and it was delicious. Everything we tried was excellent. The atmosphere has a warm, welcoming, homey feel that makes you want to stay awhile.
