I had a good experience at Savvvys (Pasadena). I ordered the Savvvys Special ($7 - 16oz - Iced). It's coffee with agave and cinnamon powder. It's clean, crisp, & chill coffee. I felt awake. I arrived at Savvvys (Pasadena) on Sunday (around 2:20PM). Parking is stressful; it's all paid parking. There's a nearby Parking Garage that says $5 for 24 hours. There's also pay toll machines that charge 25 cents per 12 minutes (2 Hour Time Limit). Staff is polite and professional. Staff is composed and efficient. When asked if they could clean a table, Staff immediately helped. Staff also answered all my questions. My coffee took two minutes and 53 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Savvvys Special ($7 - 16oz - Iced). It's functional and delicious. I appreciated its strength, and the flavor of fresh coffee & cinnamon is pronounced. The coffee is not bitter nor too sweet; rather, it flowed like silk. TASTY! On ambiance, Savvvys (Pasadena) is lovely. I appreciated the cleanliness, greenery, and displayed artwork. The location has about eight tiny interior tables. And the seats are plush and comfortable. There's also utility at Savvvys (Pasadena). There's customer internet with password; details are written on the counter's transparent display. There's also about seven electrical outlets. WOW! Had the chance to visit this cafe that was part of the SGV Passport! It's located in a small alleyway with a couple of other shops sprinkled in there. Our SGV Passport deal was buy one drink get any drink free (equal or lesser value) I got their Tira-miss-u (oat milk and iced!) and my fiancé got their Just Mango. Our total came out to $12ish thanks to the deal! I almost got their smoothies but the Tira-miss-u caught my eye and I am so glad it did! It had such a strong coffee taste but the subtle hint of almost eating a dessert! Not to sweet, just the way I like it! The Just Mango was ehhhh okay. Nothing amazing, I think literally just mango blended together with ice. I think if you're looking for something fresh and nothing else added this would be great! But I think we were hoping for something with a little more umpf. But this didn't hit the mark. But it's okay! That why you try and find something you'll like! We have come here several times with our husky and always have a pleasant experience. They have a nice variety of tasty pastries and drinks to choose from, including tried and true classics as well as those that are more unique. Although the alley does get noisy, the patio and interior are both attractively designed as a respite from the bustle of the city. I really appreciate that this cafe has its own personality and sparkle, rather than trying to look and taste like every other LA coffee shop or bakery. Service starts out reserved but then seems to warm up while you're there. It is on the pricier side, even for Old Pasadena, but I would rather support a small business than a chain. Lovely little spot with greenery all around. I love me some Ube so I automatically gravitated towards the Boo Berry Crumble. I loved it! It was delicious! What a beautiful coffee and pastry shop! I see the term Instaworthy used a lot these days, but these are one of those places that truly deserve it. More importantly, the drinks and pastries here are good. Full disclosure, I came here, trying to hit up another new pastry spot in the area. But the line was down the block. There was no way I was gonna wait in that line so I found this spot on a quick search. It's almost criminal that there was no one at the shop and it was so close to the other spot. I will say this place doesn't have a lot of visibility from the main street because you'd have to walk in a little bit down, sort of an alleyway with other shops and eateries. The person behind the counter was really, really friendly and helpful. I was able to get my drink (Savvvy's Special) pretty much right away and the Matcha & Pistachio croissant was really delicious. I was on my way to meet up with some friends at their house so I wasn't able to sit here for very long and enjoy the serene and beautiful setting. We came by to redeem the Savvvys promotion from the SGV passport. It was for a BOGO free on any drink purchase. They are located in the Mills Pl alley area. We came by on same Sunday as the Rose Bowl Marathon so it was very busy. The location has spacious dining areas outside and a few tables inside the shop. The staff was very personable and kind to us. She noted customers periodically use the SGV passport from time to time. We decided on the Savvvys Special and Matcha Chaga. Both of them with Oat Milk. They do offer all kinds of milk alternative bases. Our drinks were completed within minutes and we enjoyed them outside in the patio. IMO, both of them were stellar. This hidden, tucked away coffee spot has such lovely decor! I met a friend that was visiting from out of town and I had us meet here. Check out the decor pics that are already posted here! I love the long emerald green cushion bench along the entire wall with juicy pillows that looks so welcoming and cozy! The bench was a little higher than the marble cafe tables, but weren't as comfy as you first might think but they also had these velvet chairs that were much more comfy. It's tucked in a little alley. It has big banquet type seating outside but we ended up sitting inside. They also had 3 of these big wooden hot air balloon shaped chairs from Pottery Barn inside. They had a long list of about 10 specialty or signature coffees and honestly, it was so hard to choose! I ended up getting some sort of baklava pistachio latte that I got iced and with heavy whipping cream and it was divine! A little too much ice but I really enjoyed it just the same. The baristas were really nice and chill. I would be here ALOT if I lived closer. There's at least 4 other signature drinks I would LOVE to try. Great croissants, but okay matcha drinks. Tried their Matcha Pistachio, Rose Lychee and Nutella croissants and the Matcha Pistachio is my favorite. The croissant has really fine yet crunchy and flaky layers on the outside and really soft layers inside. The matcha pistachio filling is like a paste who texture really blends well with the textures from the croissant itself. The Rose Lychee croissant is similarly crunchy, but doesn't have any filling and honestly didn't really taste like rose or lychee. Finally, the Nutella croissant is like almost like a croissant-crookie (similar to the Crookie at La La Land Kind Cafe). This one has a good amount of Nutella filling, but was a little too rich for me. As a croissant, it wasn't as crunchy as the first two I mentioned. Have tried two of their matcha drinks: the Boo Berry Crumble and the Rosy Cheeks. First off, I like how their latte menu works where you can choose whether you want it with espresso or matcha. As someone who's not really into espresso drinks, I really appreciate this. However, the matcha flavors don't stand out - they are just okay. It doesn't have that distinct bitterness from matcha powder. The ube in the Boo Berry Crumble didn't have a strong ube taste compared to the ube drinks at Dash Coffee Bar. Same for the Rosy Cheeks - I couldn't really taste much rose flavor. My boyfriend tried their cold brew, and that was too sweet. read more

They do have both inside and outside seating, which was reasonably plentiful even though it was crowded. I got these items. Lychee Raspberry Croissant - Pretty delicious. The texture of the croissant wasn't super flakey/soft but maybe that was because it was sitting out. Flavor wise it was delicious though. So unique to see such an interesting flavor. (4.5/5) Mocha Latte (Sugar Free) (Cold) - I love that they have a sugar free option here. It tastes like what you think a mocha latte would taste like, chocolatey. It was good, I enjoyed it. Ambiance is excellent, this is a place you want to spend time in whether it's indoors or on their beautiful patio. The barista was friendly when I walked in, he greeted me right away and we chatted about the menu. I ended up ordering the Besitos (any fellow PTV fans out there??) and my partner got the Miss Misery. The Besitos has that mellow smooth horchata flavor and it's not lacking in the cinnamon department. The Miss Misery is a flavor explosion but I will say it is extremely sweet, if you prefer your drinks less sugary I'd make sure to let the barista know ahead of time. The brown sugar gives it a satisfying texture but be prepared for a sugar high. I like that it's slightly tucked away, and the inside is so beautifully decorated and welcoming. I love it! I ordered the coconut matcha latte, which was very delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. Unfortunately the peach cobbler latte wasn't exactly my cup of tea, and I found the sweetness to be a bit over powering. First sip was fine, but as I got towards the end of it, I couldn't drink it all. We were only there for about 30mins, but it was a nice little mid-afternoon break. The maple latte from Savvvys is a delicious brown sugary coffee. The coffee reminds us of a yummy snickerdoodle cookie and looks just as good with the brown sugar smeared around the sides of the cup.
