I love the vibe of this place. When you walk in you feel like you're transported to a different time. I do not know how to explain it. Ordered at the bar and the staff gave their feedback on some of the drinks. When I'm trying a new place, I go to their cortado. To really taste the the espresso and the finesse of the milk. And this did not disappoint. The barista was helpful, as he saw me struggle placing the lid on! Thanks for the hand.
Loop Espresso Club is a cozy coffee shop located in LA and inspired by the kissatens of Tokyo. The minimalistic and retro ambiance makes for a great meet up spot. I tried the pour overs on their specialty coffee menu and they were both tasty, you can really taste the fruity notes. I definitely recommend both the Guava Candy and Peach Orchard! I'm also looking forward to giving some of the other items on the menus a try. The service was friendly, there was a line to order but it moved rather quick. Give them a try if you're looking for a chill spot to hang out at in the Eagle Rock area.
A buddy of mine showed me Loop Espresso Club and I've loved it ever since. Their drinks are curated nicely and made with care. Every drink I've had tasted so good in their own way. I love their Miel Cream Top and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I recently got to try their breakfast burrito and it was good! The ingredients were standard breakfast burrito ingredients but it tasted more elevated and put together. I do wish it was a little bigger for the price but still good regardless! Service is always good. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Drinks come out in a timely manner and food comes out relatively fast as well. The ambiance is AMAZING. The whole spot feels like you walked into an exclusive bar. I love how dimly lit it is inside; it really adds to the ambiance of this "dark and mysterious" coffee spot. There is a lot of seating inside but it is always packed every time I go , so try to be there early to catch a seat! Overall , I love this spot. Will come back again.
Great cafe for quality espresso drinks and for studying/working! They have plenty of comfortable seating and outlets available, though it gets really packed around noon time. They have free WiFi and free street parking in front of the cafe or around the block. I stayed a whole day to study at the cafe and was able to try all 3 of their cortados, their matcha coconut refresher, and the almond croissant. My favorite drink was the espresso loop which was so delicious with the smooth and balanced flavor of the espresso with a taste of chocolate and citrus which I love. Their espresso is strong and I also enjoyed their espresso trung which was similar to the taste of tiramisu to me. Their espresso black sesame had a really nutty flavor with a stronger espresso flavor, but it wasn't my favorite. I really loved their almond croissant which had a sweet glaze crust on top and an almond paste filling. Their matcha coconut refresher was so good but SO pricey for $9.31 after tax. They use Nami matcha for the matcha cold foam, but hard to justify that price considering it's just the matcha foam with coconut water. Otherwise it was super delicious and great to try, but prob won't be splurging on that next time. Overall a great spot for great coffee and studyability. I'd recommend either coming earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon for a better chance of getting seats.
This has to be one of the most beautiful and aesthetic coffee shops I've ever been to! The space is huge with plenty of seating, making it such a nice spot to just hang out. My drink rating is based only on the matcha since that's all I've tried so far. I'm not a big fan of Nami (which they use), so I'd give it a 3.5, but I'd definitely come back to try their coffee next time. Honestly, the interior alone makes it worth it. It's so pretty that I could easily sit there for hours. Service was also friendly and fast, which made the experience even better.
Miel cream top: lightly sweetened coconut cream was delicious and the juxtaposition with the acidity of the cold brew was perfect Black sesame cortado: a steadfast friend, balanced nuttiness with the espresso and pleasantly steamed milk I also love their tomadachi co-ferment pour overs for fruity light roasts. I've gotten them both cold and hot and they hit the spot. Personal favorites are the peach orchard, cherry (black forest notes) and jam session. I've yet to try the caramel tropic and the lavender wasn't quite up my alley.
Loop Espresso Club is a vibe. It's the kind of place you want to plant yourself at for awhile - think 20s jazz age meets cigar bar meets Japanese coffeeshop. Had an iced latte with a foam top which I thought was alright. As an espresso club, presumed they'd have high standard coffee but unfortunately thought it was okay. Also tried the matcha latte with almond milk and it tasted extremely watered down - maybe the almond milk was the problem? Loved the nonstop vinyls playing in the background. The music and vibes can carry you through a nice afternoon here. There is plenty of seating, wifi, and the staff is nice. Cool spot in Eagle Rock.
Loop's matcha never misses! It's pricey but you definitely get the quality you pay for. The ambiance is just as good as their drinks. Think moody New York library-esque. There's plenty of seating--tables, a few bar stool spots, side benches, and a large communal table. Because it's dark inside, I find it hard to do reading sometimes but computer work is fine. The baristas are always friendly, and it's dog friendly as well! Street parking is on the main street in front, or there are neighborhood side streets. I've never had an issue with finding a spot.
I've been here multiple times and OMG I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH. This is officially my go-to coffee shop in Eagle Rock. No wonder it's always full. I usually order their iced Vietnamese coffee which is rich, eggy, and strong with a beautifully balanced flavor profile. It's incredibly satisfying. The balance is perfection. My only issue is that I finish it in like 3 minutes every time lol. Their sausage breakfast sandwich is also excellent. I've tried to recreate it at home and I never even come close. Service had previously felt neutral and somewhat transactional... BUT TODAAAAAAYY, my visit was a pleasant surprise. They had a new face behind the counter and he was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I didn't catch his name, but the gentleman with the black bandana made a great impression. Highly recommend this spot for both the coffee and the food.
I had the miel cream hot, and my husband had the espresso trung. Both were delicious! I loved that both drinks were not too sweet. We enjoyed the breakfast burrito with turkey bacon and honestly one of the best I've had. The Japanese toast was also yummy. Usually one or the other (food or drinks) is good at coffee shops, but I thought both drinks and food were equally good! Parking was easy, we just turned into the neighborhood and plenty of parking. The coffee shop had such a nice vibe, classy but warm ambience. Service was good. Wish we lived closer. We would probably go every week!
I happened to be in the area and uncaffeinated one morning so I decided to stop by. My friend absolutely loves this place so when I saw that I was close by, I knew I had to go get a drink. I asked the barista/owner (?) for a suggestion and he mentioned 3 drinks that all sounded good. I ended up going with the Black Sesame cortado. It was SO GOOD!! I wish it was a larger drink because I wanted more of it! I could literally drink at least 3 of those! I'll definitely be back ! The vibes in this place are immaculate! Spacious but cozy. There were many patrons working or chatting with friends or just sitting at the bar sipping on their coffee. Street parking, free.
the first time i had this place, i was pretty disappointed because i paid about $8 for a very small cup of coffee (i think i got a cortado). however, i decided to give this place another try and my mind has been completely changed! i absolutely love their honey cinnamon latte and their pour overs are so well made. come early if you want decent parking or a seat!
Loop Espresso Club has the aesthetic vibes that any hipster, coffee loving, cool kid would want to come to. A cafe like this is where I'd study and hang out with my friends, endlessly. We parked on the streets a few blocks away and walked towards this cafe. The exterior was green with a very nice sign. When walking inside, you'll notice all the patrons working on the computers or hanging out with a friend. Towards the left side, you'll see the merchandise and the register where you'll order your coffee and food. The coffee bar was alongside the left side of the perimeter. I can't describe it enough - very studio Ghibli, speakeasy, jazzy, and coffee enthusiast themed. The barista greeted us with a smile and was gentle about it. We ordered their black sesame cortado and their signature cortado. We also ordered their breakfast sandwich with sausage. Their cortado was very strong, but had a great sweetness to it. It was decorated with orange citrus and the other one had black sesame seeds sprinkled across the top. It was quite delicious. Their breakfast sandwich was chef's kiss - it reminded me of a good sandwich my mom made me as a kid. It had a runny yolk, toasted bread, some melted cheese, and tomatoes in it. This place gave me such warm emotions inside and just made it feel like home. I understood why every table and seat had a person in it. If you love coffee as much as I do, this has to be on your to-do list when visiting LA. read more
TL:DR It has a jazz bar type feel with a few Filipino inspired flavors and lots of amazing and well crafted espresso options. Been coming to loop ever since they were at the previous location. The workers are consistently nice, attentive and helpful. The most recent time I came was around 12 noon on a Saturday. Not too busy at all, got our drinks within 10 minutes of ordering. I've had the chocnut latte, espresso tonic, miel cream top, and most recently the espresso loop cortado. I still think about the espresso loop cortado, so much goodness in every sip. Sure the drink itself is "small" but it's packed with flavor. The new location is a lot more cozy than the previous imo. More seating, A/C always blasting and available outlets if you need to get work done for a long time. The ambiance was giving lola's living room with a Ralph Lauren/Aime Leon Dore vibe. If you want a coffee date, this place is a must. read more

10 toes down one of the best cafés I've been to in a while. From OC to the SGV to LA, the ambiance and the amenities (I'll get to the drinks later) we're 10/10. Came here to to do work one day and was greeted with a dimly lit, spacious seating room with plentiful outlets + wifi. Truly the best kind of place if you're most productive in lower lighting (like me lol). High tops + traditional table and booth seating. And now mind you...I enjoyed the matcha so much that I got TWOOO drinks :0 #overcaffeinated. 1) matcha einspanner: typically my assessment drinks when it comes to matcha. They serve Nami Matcha here which really shows. Generous portion in the drinks because the matcha really holds up against the cream top. The einspanner was also not overly sweet or vanilla-y, and had a hint of coconut taste to it which I loved. 2) seasonal Nami Matcha collaboration drink, Matcha coconut refresher: for any other folks who are also particular about their coconut water...I think they use harmless harvest here (as the coconut water was pink, which is always a good sign). SO refreshing and the matcha cream top had a coconut-y matcha taste that blended so well with the water. 10/10 im still thinking about when I can go back to get this Overall go go go, if youre in the neighborhood!! read more

Came in to this venue to try a cold drink and...Hands down -- great Vietnamese iced coffee :) The feel from outside and in feels like you're going to a bar but the vibe is chill. Lots of spaces to sit, chat or work. Got a croissant to go with it and left happy :) read more

This place is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in LA. I feel like it hits every single requirement of a good coffee shop -- a classic menu paired with unique drinks you can't find elsewhere and a studyable environment. I got their canela latte, which was very well-balanced and extremely smooth. Coffee is toffee-like, slightly acidic and slightly bitter but perfect with the canela syrup. I want to try their cortado when I'm not here all hot and sweaty after a run. It is quite dark inside and it gives the dark academia version of Kaizen & Coffee in San Mateo, which is one of my favorite Bay Area coffee shops! read more

And they're back! We had the pleasure of experiencing both versions of Loop Espresso Club. Walking up, I loved the open windows. It gave the new spot a nice peak, which was more spacious, welcoming, and visible. I can't tell you how many times we drove past the original location. I had the Coconut Matcha Refresher, and it was precisely that. It was a warm LA day, so I needed that cooling coconut water. The matcha foam added a lovely richness and earthiness. My husband had their Vietnamese coffee, which was also refreshing and not too sweet. There was plenty of seating and good music. The staff was friendly. The vibe was exactly how we remembered it. Beyond stoked for the revival and the many, many events they will be hosting! read more

Really enjoyed my work from home experience here! Typically at times, it is hard for me to be super productive in a coffee shop. However the ambiance of Loop created a great environment for me to lock in on work without getting distracted. There were many seats , restrooms were clean and the place felt filled yet still spacious. I really enjoyed the matcha coconut refresher I had. The matcha had rich flavor and they use high quality coconut water! The place is super vibey too and it would be a perfect place for a coffee date, catch up or meet cute lol! read more

Espresso con panna is all cream, hardly any coffee. So, my case: I'm asking for my regular Espresso with a splash of oat milk next time. Vibes here are strong: very crunchy, very hipster, very Eagle Rock. Lots of wood paneling, tattoos, and vintage decor. Really strong coffee menu with great pastries, and good service. read more
It is an "espresso club" so it makes sense that their strong suit would be coffee. We went on Sunday and it was quite busy! However we were able to get a table w no wait. Lots of drinks to choose from, including specialty pour overs, lattes, and fusion drinks. They had a good selection for beans so we got the Hana and Yellow Summer Breeze. We got a breakfast burrito - the tater tots were nice and crispy! The only downer is that it is pretty small for $12. We also got a hojicha latte but we didn't care too much for it. The tea and cream didn't mean super well. The atmosphere is great, they went all in on the decorations. Lots of people working on their laptops. Certain tables had plugs nearby so it may be a decent study spot! read more
Loop was a moody, cozy bar pulled straight out of a novel. It's the perfect ambience for fall spooky season - dark, plush seating, gothic decor... loved that it goes against the grain of typical bright, stale LA coffee shops with their light wood and cement seating. They have a wide variety of Filipino inspired drinks so I went with their espresso tsokolate. It was rich and chocolately, like a mocha in an espresso size. Not too sweet, not too much. The server was very helpful in drink recommendations and even offered to make something else if it ended up not being up my alley. If you're in Eagle Rock, it's worth a visit! Preferably on a blustery day with a good book. read more

Is it just me or the concept of bar-ish like coffee kinda flourishing lately? It's so much fun for me finding myself drowning amidst the crowd yet able to get myself focused while sipping my cup of joe. Yes, I loved that kind of busy ambiance with people are busy with their own selves as well LOL. The lighting was prolly kinda dimmed for my liking, but I loved the classic ambiance. It's their Miel Cream Top for this visit, with iced cold brew paired to vanilla honey cream. As expected, it's quite strong but they did offer adding splash of milk if you fancied something lighter. It would also suit you when you preferred less sweet coffee. One small thing but I did appreciate was they would serve your drink in non-single-serve cups when you said you would have it there. read more
You don't know how sad I was when I found out Loop closed down last year! I kept checking their IG page every month hoping for an update... and finally, they're back! Their sister location, Kissa Corazon, opened earlier this year, which already gave me so much hope, but hearing that Loop officially reopened made me so happy! I love that they kept the Tokyo-inspired vibe from their original spot but made it feel even cozier and more homey this time. What I tried: Miel Cream Top (4/5) - This was my friend's order, but I got a sip! Creamy from the cream top and earthy espresso -- a perfect combo. The light dusting of cinnamon on top was such a nice touch! Espresso Loop (4.5/5) - There's a reason Loop is known for their espresso drinks. Even as someone who's not a huge coffee drinker, I loved this! The cream top, espresso, and hint of orange zest blended together so beautifully. Egg Tomato Pastry (4.5/5) - So glad I ordered this! It literally tastes like tomato egg stir-fry in pastry form! Breakfast in every bite! Vibe: They kept the signature dark wood furniture and added touches of greenery, but the new setup feels more open and inviting. There's plenty of seating now for catching up over coffee, and the space perfectly blends the cozy feel of a neighborhood café with a trendy, modern aesthetic. Staff were so friendly when ordering! Nice and cool, comfortable place to sit. It looks cozy inside and they still have the piano from Cafe Beaujolais, may she rest in peace. Coffee and various special drinks are all delicious. So glad they could reopen here. The staff is very friendly and there is a going vibe, I like it. I hope they start to serve Japanese curry,. For some reason my husband thinks this will happen and I hope he's right haha. read more

I think about this cortado every day since I've had it!!! Took my father here so he could rate all the cortados in LA (LOLL) and he was also blown away. I got the Espresso Loop and my dad got the Espresso Black Sesame and both were so delicious. I feel I finished mine too fast and wanted to go back and order another. Definitely definitely will be back for those cortados.... read more

Solid choice for coffee! The interior is so nicely decorated and the vibes are just very comforting and relaxing. They're always busy so be sure to go in early for a table if you plan on working. I love the pastries, I've gotten pretty much every coffee here and they are so good. The trung is my favorite for sure. Parking sucks but it sucks every where in eagle rock and highland park. read more

Visited Loop on a a holiday Monday around 10AM. Parking was easy in the streets around the shop. Loop was busy, but not packed with friends catching up and people working on their laptops. Music plays softly in the background. I ordered a houjicha iced latte, a hot black sesame latte, two iced almond milk lattes, and a bacon burrito. The drinks came out quickly and correctly and the burrito followed shortly thereafter hot off the griddle. The drinks were well balanced - subtly sweet and well proportioned between tea/espresso, milk, and ice. Really loved the nuttiness from the black sesame. I was also impressed with the quality of the espresso - mild acidity with notes of caramel and chocolate. Better than my local Starbucks could ever manage. The bacon breakfast burrito was perfect - filled to the brim with bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The tortilla was browned, bacon was thick, hash browns were crispy, and pasilla crema really tied everything together. This was probably one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a long time and I would visit Loop again just for the burrito. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in Eagle Rock! read more

There are so many coffee places all around town. You can try most places within the same price range. LPC has a solid line of typical and specialty coffee drinks. Espresso Loop (hot) is a nice way to start the day. You just gotta try it. Putting this place on on a repeat Loop. read more
This is a great place to chill and work or catch up with a friend on a weekend. The wood paneling and furniture make it so cozy in here. The service was friendly and the drinks and food were perfect. I got the espresso black sesame cortado, which had a nutty flavor, and my husband got the espresso loop cortado, which had a citrusy orange flavor. I also got a brown sugar poptart, which was flaky and moist inside - what every poptart wishes it could be. Will return again whenever I'm near Eagle Rock! read more
