Ambiance and aesthetic of this place is great! Beautiful! Picture worthy! Lots of seating available too, but it seems to be packed at all times. I was very excited, but I found that their latte was not up to my standards. I prefer an espresso flavor that can still be recognized over any milk or syrup, and this just was not the case.
One of my favorite cafes! It's a great place for casual chats but not for working because of the lack of outlets and space. The interior and vibe of the place is very charming and clean. It's usually VERY BUSY ( even on weekdays ) and it's hard to find a table! You might need to stand around and scope out for a seat for a bit. If you do get the chance, it is a better experience to get your drink with their ceramics! The plating and presentation is beautiful. HOT CHOCOLATE - ( 8/10 ) - TASTE LIKE DARK HOT CHOCOLATE! if you're a fan of European style hot chocolate that's perfectly not too sweet and a little bitter this is a good choice! MATCHA LATTE ( 4/10 )- unsweetened and lacks the matcha taste. MATCHA TONIC ( 7 / 10 ) - nice refreshing choice of drink for hot days! CARDAMOM BUN ( 8/10 ) - Delicious! Not too sweet and the bread is soft HOT CHOCOLATE ( 9/10 ) - classic european styled hot chocolate! If you're a fan of the dark chocolate taste, this is the drink for you - free 2hr street parking in a side lot +paid street parking - seating for duos, and solos - NO OUTLETS - Bathrooms available - Sells both drinks and pasteries! - Dog friendly
Cute open door concept, drinks were presented beautifully. The service was good, friendly staff. A bit crowded during noon but I like how open the space felt. The Yuzu Matcha wasn't something I would go back for since it came from a can but, I appreciate the handwhisk matcha.

There's a good amount of seating but due to how popular this place is, it might be difficult to secure a spot. There's a paid parking lot across the street and some metered parking. Had high hopes for their matcha latte but found it to be too watery. Maybe the "reserve" matcha might've been the move. Bonus it is dog friendly!
Precision. Quality. Simple. There's a lot of coffee choices in town but this one off the main drag is a standout. We had an excellent cortado and cappuccino, prepared expertly by the barista. They also serve a nice array of bakery items. The atmosphere is sparse but has some nice comfy couches.

The baristas were all really friendly and helped me pick out what latte to get. I ended up getting an iced cardamom vanilla latte. I like cardamom but it was a bit too much for the latte so it wasn't as enjoyable but I could tell the espresso was pulled perfectly and had great flavor. Next time I'll skip the flavor and just get a latte.
Comet Over Delphi is a lively and chill coffee shop in the Highland Park neighborhood. Wifey and I got the Matcha Coconut and the Sparkling Apple Juice and enjoyed walking around with our drinks. There is a good amount of seating inside, but the shop can definitely get busy.
It was my first time trying magic and the drinks were very good. Also loved the little cookie they give if you have the drinks there. The bathroom is also really nice. The seating and ambience is great but on a hot day a lot of the seating is in the sun and isn't ideal to stay.
Comets travel swiftly but hopefully Comet Over Delphi is here to stay. I'll admit, I had reservations about this new, hip coffee shop in my hood. All that went out the window after my visit. The minimalistic décor features brick lined walls and a concrete coffee bar that emits an industrial edge. The lofty ceilings, natural wood, & retractable windows add to the charm. The openness of the indoor-outdoor aesthetic is perfect for warm sunny days. You can bask in the sun in one of the windowsills or outside tables or lounge in one of the big leather sofas or sit at a table inside. There are many seating options available. The beverage menu is simple, featuring ceremonial matcha and quality coffee drinks that are expertly prepared in an impressive looking espresso machine that costs $20,000, which is a worthy investment. I like that they offer organic oat & almond milk at no extra charge. I ordered a cortado and was impressed when it was brought to my table on a metal tray with a side of tonic water, sugar cubes, and a little biscotti. (A personal touch to enhance the overall customer experience.) I've never had a cortado served this way. Every sip was perfect, and I enjoyed the palate cleanser of tonic water in between. The biscotti was also tasty. My coffee date and I had the best seats in the house. I absolutely loved seeing the parade of doggies walking by me. We were also digging the classic rock music selection. The vibe here was chill and I felt relaxed as I soaked in the sun and conversation. It's worth mentioning that the staff here are courteous and friendly. They treat their customers with respect - even the furry ones. No doubt I'll be back, perhaps my fur baby will be my next date. *Live music certain nights. $10 cover *Metered street parking or lot across the street. *Dog friendly.

Trying their Iced Shaken Espresso which was so interesting as they served frothed espresso that's slightly sweetened and mixed with milk. It's light and airy, yet serving kickin' coffee flavor. RECOMMENDED FOR SURE!

From the moment you walk in, the space makes an impression. The minimalist industrial design, soaring ceilings, and massive retractable windows flood the space with natural light, creating an atmosphere that feels calm, airy, and effortlessly modern. Whether you're meeting a friend, reading a book, or spending a few hours working, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and stay awhile. The coffee program is equally impressive. It's clear that quality is the priority. Every drink is crafted with precision, and you can taste the attention to detail in each cup. We got their malt tonic and an ice blue ginger, both were amazing. The staff deserves recognition as well. The staff at the POS I interacted with was welcoming, knowledgeable, and was great at navigating some of my questions. One thing to keep in mind is that this place has become extremely popular, especially on weekends. Seating can fill up quickly, and parking in Highland Park always requires a little patience. Comet over Delphi is such a cute coffee shop. I love the flora they have decorating their modern minimal space. The sunlit open space is very welcoming and there are endless cute dogs that stop by. We really wanted to sit and enjoy the space but it was so crowded that we ended up grabbing the coffee to go. They had a nice selection of different coffees and teas. I got my usual boring Americano, it was yummy and had a good after taste. My boyfriend ordered a summer einspanner, it was so cute and came in a tiny cup. We were a little confused it tasted like a nice citrusy cream but didn't really have espresso or a drink under it. I'd love to come by again maybe on a weekday to really enjoy the coffee and ambience instead of rushing the experience. :) read more

I've now had a couple of cortados here, and they've been noticeably different experiences. My previous drink was much better, balanced, well-textured, and one of the reasons I wanted to come back. This most recent cortado, however, wasn't quite at the same level. The espresso leaned noticeably bitter from the first sip through the finish, and it was served a bit hotter than ideal, which made it harder to pick up sweetness and clarity in the cup. The milk texture was decent, but not quite as polished as my previous visit. That said, this is still a very cool coffee shop. The space is inviting, the presentation is thoughtful, and it's the kind of place you can easily spend time hanging out in. The biggest issue is consistency rather than capability. When everything is dialed in, they can produce a genuinely good cortado. I'd definitely come back, but I'd love to see a little more consistency from cup to cup. read more

COMET OVER DELPHI is a whole vibe. Let's start with the coffee. Ordered their MAGIC which was a ristretto cortado. So it was creamy and strong. Yum! The roast they used was great for the cortado. They use their own beans. They must have used dark roast for their LATTE because it didn't taste "milked-down". Now on to the space. The giant glass windows and door at the front set the mood for the space. The inside is even bigger than the front windows suggested. Lots of chairs and tables inside. People are allowed to park their electronics and work so it will be difficult to find an available space. Families and friends looking to hang and catch up are also plentiful. BOOKS are also on the menu. The books selections on the shelves are interesting. The "electronics" like speakers and music players are "vintage". They could be modern made to look vintage, but I didn't want to move things around. The plants are all real, in great condition, and curated to complement the space. They have Flamingo Estate soap and lotion in the bathroom which is well-ventilated, by they way. read more
I had high expectations for this place because of how busy it was and how long the line was when we arrived. Then again, it was also a Sunday morning. The aesthetic and vibe of the cafe were beautiful, and the open-window concept felt unique compared to a lot of cafes I've been to. I ordered the preserve matcha latte. I thought the price ($12) was a bit expensive, and unfortunately the quality didn't really match the price. They don't sweeten their matcha, which I like because it lets you taste the matcha itself, but the matcha itself tasted bland to me. I also didn't see them whisk it, so I assumed it may have been pre-made, which I understand many cafes do to save time. However, for something advertised as "high-quality" matcha, I was surprised that there were so many clumps left at the bottom of my drink. My fiancé ordered the coconut matcha, which I enjoyed a little more than the one I got, but it wasn't particularly memorable either. I'd still be open to trying their coffee next time, but I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the matcha. read more

Appears to be pretty dog friendly too. The coffee is good and there's a small selection of pastries. Although I would have liked if the pastries were warmed up a little. Service was good. What an absolutely aesthetic cafe! I came here after seeing hype on multiple social media platforms. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was packed! I couldn't get a table and because of that, I opted to take the coffee to-go. I got the cold brew and only expected to walk out with that, but after seeing the pastry cabinet, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try their apricot monkey bread. Both paired really well together! As for parking, there is plenty of street parking on weekdays but I can see how it might be fairly difficult on the weekends. This has become one of my favorite coffee shops in all of LA... and I've been to my share of coffee shops. The ambience is beautifully designed and curated. The drinks are always incredible. It does get and stay busy so it's not the best place to go and do some work. Service is great and their presentation when you have your order in, is chef's kiss. read more
Great space, very roomy and open. Lots of windows that open up too! The space is airy. And service is quick and friendly. This is a simple straight forward quality coffee shops and drinks! Do not expect cream tops galore and heavy things. They have a few specialty coffees done very well in a simple way! If you value quality of beans and the brew and matcha then come here! Presentation is great and is a no fluff coffee shop! When you have quality products you can tell the need for extra stuff in drinks is eliminated and this is exactly that. Coffee will never taste the same now that they've leveled up the game. The name will stick in your brain as long as they maintain the flavorful coffee and not plain. It's would be a shame if you didn't visit this shop that will have your heart pop after the last drop and that says a lot. But let me tell you what puts this place on top. The Aremde machine and this has to be a coffee lovers dream. An espresso machine that's so sleek even peeps that don't drink coffee wanna take a peek! I ordered their popular drinks which were the Kalamansi Espresso and The Magic Espresso. The Magic was up first and maaan was it a magical sipping journey! Mmm! Next was the Kalamansi espresso soda and this was quite refreshing and tasty. These drinks left me like Joey Lawrence saying "Whoa!" And the service was spot on. You order your drinks and they bring them to you on an elegant silver trays. I say they sure mean business when it comes to coffee. Out of all the coffee shops I've visited in LA, Comet Over Delphi definitely stands out as one of the most aesthetically pleasing cafés out there! The space captures a European café feel with its big open windows and rustic white walls, creating such a calming and uplifting atmosphere. I ordered their regular matcha latte ($8) with oat milk , which I don't recall being charged extra for it! My friend tried the reserve matcha ($12), which is said to be a more premium version. To be honest, I didn't notice a huge difference in taste, so I'd recommend going with the regular matcha latte. It was earthy, smooth, and strong without being bitter -- perfectly balanced with the oat milk. If you're planning to stay, make sure to ask for your drink "for here." It comes beautifully served in a glass cup on a metal tray, complete with an orange chocolate biscuit on the side! Now, let's talk about the vibe. The interiors are absolutely stunning -- serene, artistic, and filled with natural light streaming through the retractable windows. The sunlight complements the stone counters and minimal wooden furniture so well. On cooler days, sitting by the open windows with your drink feels almost cinematic. This place is gorgeous. The aesthetic alone makes you want to stay awhile. The space is bright, stylish, and super Instagram-worthy. Staff were kind and attentive, which I always appreciate. The drinks were decent--good, but not necessarily the highlight for me. I'd still return though because the atmosphere is so nice and it's a great spot to hang out, will try other drinks :) read more

COMET OVER DELPHI (est 2025) is a new cafe in Highland Park neighborhood of LA. The origin of its name was a place in ancient Greece. In case you're into Greek mythology. Anyways, COD has the standard pasties and an array of coffee and tea drinks, along with fun options like an orange cold brew, espresso soda, hot chocolate and matcha. It's very spacious, naturally well lit, and has an industrial-looking design with huge windows, brick walls, and exposed metal/wood ceiling. Moreover, their white colored walls were brilliant and pleasing to the eyes. Today, we came on a warm late afternoon to quench ourselves with a cold drink. I ordered their Orange Cold Brew. It was refreshing albeit less smooth and a bit strong despite having milk poured in. What captivated my eyes was the $30G Aremde espresso-coffee machine they use. You know they take it seriously. Furthermore, their staff were very cordial, respectful and professional. Atmosphere was quite relaxing with comfortable couch and chairs. Prices were honestly higher than most coffee shops. But that's the nature of cafe business. Parking was mixture of public lots and street metered. Free wifi. Service was impeccable as well as its cleanliness. Breathtaking! Every drink is IG worthy. Overall, I had a great experience and refreshing cold drink. I highly recommend you visit. read more
Comet has a very simple menu with a handful of fun drinks. Their Kalamansi Espresso Soda, for example. Great taste, not too sweet and overall very refreshing. Parking lot (2hr) available across the street and plenty of street parking as well. read more
Absolutely loved my first visit of Comet. Had it on my list of places to visit. Came really early on a Saturday that I had to work in the office and so thankful, really enjoyed the experience. Greasy staff, really helped me lock in on what I should order based on my preferences. The barista was very skilled, as both drinks were executed very well. The Magic was well balanced, sorta like a cappuccino but in a cortado size. And the Americano was super solid. No frills on the menu but it's definitely a great place for anyone who cares about the coffee over all other things. It was a nice touch to have been served a platter with sugar and a biscotti. Nice gesture. Will definitely want to come back and try other drinks. The coffee here is exceptional. read more

Went during their soft opening. Cute aesthetics and has nearby parking lot which is a plus! The drinks however need a lot of work. It's way overpriced for what it is. The matcha is very milky and bland. The color should have been a sign for me to not get it. The orange cold brew was ok. Not worth the price. read more

Before I get to the actual review- this new yelp recognitions thing is weird. Why does it showcase one of my lower recognitions vs. the 50+ DAMN reviews I have for the coffee & tea category lmao. I wonder if this is too new of a place, so it's category is still in flux? No idea, anyway- Great space, pretty spacious. Nothing too pretentious, not a try hard, no furniture that looks like it's obviously Temu, all tasteful. I had two drinks- cold brew was great, nothing crazy flavorful or funky but still sensible and balanced. The matcha I had was small (and I was told that beforehand, so it was fine), and it was made well, contrary to some earlier reviews here. Good consistency and I got the bold flavor that I was looking for in that type of matcha; but if you don't want matcha, they have a few espresso soda drinks and other coffee options too. Service was also polite, brought my drinks to me, gave me a complimentary cookie! If we were to compare to other recent cafes that have opened in the past year or two, this is a very, very welcome addition and I'd absolutely drive out to get a drink and chill here. read more
Newest coffee/matcha shop in town! I am not sure how people found out about this place already but this place was packed & had a line when I went. The price difference (6/10 or 16/20) is for the grade of matcha & not for the size of drinks. Inside is nice & minimal. Good vibes. Even espresso machine looks extra fancy. They do take their time to make drinks so gotta be patient. I noticed a small price discrepancy on the menu on the table compared to the menu posted outside & in front of the register. Not sure if the matcha is strong enough for latte because all I could taste was milk. I would come for ambience but not sure if I would come for just their drinks. read more

Stopped by yesterday and had one of the most delightful cafe experiences I've had in a while. From the thoughtfully designed space to the genuinely welcoming service, everything felt intentional and cohesive. What stood out most, though, was how every drink offered something familiar yet excitingly different. Each espresso-based drink showcased the cafe's bold, earthy coffee and highlighted unique flavor combinations, making the entire experience memorable! Detailed Review: I first ordered the Kalamansi Espresso Soda and the Summer Einspanner. (a) Kalamansi Espresso Soda This reminded me of an espresso tonic but with a touch of added sweetness. Their espresso leans toward a bolder profile with earthy undertones, which paired beautifully with the tart kalamansi and the tonic's naturally bittersweet notes. The combination of the earthy espresso and the tart syrup created a refreshing finish! (b) Summer Einspänner This had such a unique flavor profile. The lemon cream top made the drink incredibly refreshing and surprisingly complemented the espresso. It almost felt like a light dessert in drink form without being heavy. I really enjoyed how they took familiar espresso drinks and gave them fresh, creative twists. (c) Cortado I became curious about how they prepared their classic coffee drinks, so I ordered a cortado, and I was very impressed. Visually, the milk was steamed perfectly, and the texture was velvety. The temperature and consistency were spot on, allowing the milk's natural sweetness to emerge while still letting the espresso's bold character come through. +highly recommend pairing the cortado with their basque cheesecake. The velvety texture of the cortado complements the cheesecake's rich, thick, and gooey consistency incredibly well. Together, they make for a comforting and well-balanced pairing. Lastly, the service was outstanding. I really appreciated how the barista took the time to explain each drink and offer thoughtful recommendations. It was clear they were knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. I also loved how detail-oriented everyone was (from the presentation of each drink to the overall customer experience).
