Cute little spot to get your morning coffee. I love the architecture and art on the building. Small seating areas in front and to the side. Street parking. Employees are very nice. I'm Going to come back and try other things next time I'm in the area.
Tried Lumen Coffee in Highland Park and ordered the iced vanilla latte--I really enjoyed it. I went on an early Saturday morning, so it was pretty quiet and I was able to find street parking easily. The shop itself is a cute little spot with colorful architecture and a welcoming vibe. The server was super nice, friendly, and very patient in explaining the menu. I'm really glad I finally checked this place out, and I'll definitely be coming back.
Very unassuming little place, but well worth a stop for coffee lovers who are looking for well-pulled espresso and others who like milk/flavored drinks. The menu boasted a variety of great single-origins for espresso and pour overs. The espresso was great! The pour over was a little watery, but might have been influenced by having the great espresso first. Others in our group loved their cortado and cardamom rose latte. Also a great little side garden seating area! Would go back and would recommend.
My friend and I went by Lumen Coffee today and had a great experience. It's such a cute shop with really creative gold tiles artistically laid with dope cats intertwined throughout the design. Eye-catching and cool vibes for sure. The staff was really nice to us on our visit in, explaining their flash brew cold coffees to us. Interesting technique to lock in more flavors and I found it really tasty. We got a flash brewed blend and a standard cold brew, and could totally tell the difference. Also had a savory ham and cheese croissant which they warmed up for us. It was sooooo~ buttery and just melted in my mouth with a good amount of protein inside. Loved it! We got lucky to find a parking spot right out front so it can be done! Great coffee shop in Highland Park that I will definitely come back to.
Small little grab and go coffee shop. My partner and I stopped by because we were at C&H a couple of stores away. Drinks: Pretty good! I got a matcha latte as my partner got a latte. On their menu, they actually listed the origin of where their matcha is from and as a matcha lover, I really appreciated that! Their matcha lattes come unsweetened so I opted in for their house-made vanilla syrup as I was intrigued by it. When I received my drink, I noticed the vanilla bean speckles which is an amazing sign! I do think the drink lacked matcha flavor, but it had great color to it! I believe the milk ratio was just a bit much. It definitely has potential though! I also tried my partner's drink and I am not a coffee drinker but I thought it was pretty good! Service: The staff up front was very patient while my partner and I were observing the menu and the pastries that were displayed. They were very informative of all of the displayed pastries! Ambiance: Loved the exterior and the designs on the wall. To the side of the order/pick-up window, there's a huge bench and a bit of tables to sit if you wanted to grab your drinks and chat. There's a cute little area under the tree! Overall, loved the aesthetic of this coffee shop and I would def come back to try out other drinks :)
Lumen is a small, but colorful kiosk serving up a curated collection of coffee to try out. I opted for a rose cardamom latte (iced), as it was quite a warm day. My drink was nice and refreshing, although the cardamom did overpower the rose flavor; I would've loved to have had the rose shine a bit more. Glad I tried it!
I love the building! I also like the style. Grab and go, or you can go to the back and sit down. The service was friendly! Their menu is a bit more traditional and limited, but once I tasted my coffee I understood why. They have great espresso! When you have great espresso, you don't need much else in a drink. They also had vegan bakery items. Parking may be difficult around this location. Shout out to LA Coffee Passport for introducing me to this gem. Looking forward to visiting again.
A very smartly designed artsy coffee stand with awesome coffee and pastries. The espressos are deep and rich. I had an espresso fizz and it was super refreshing. With our Indian summer going I needed something cool and refreshing and this hit the spot. What I didn't need was the pain au chocolat but I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The staff was as nice as it's allowed and still got the aloof air that's needed at the cool coffee spot. The outside of the building is a true work of art and there's a small patio seating area with a tells full of passion fruit. A pleasant experience all around.
Today, I start the Fall season with a cup of coffee and an adventure. Lumen Coffee is a tiny to-go coffee bar in the heart of HP neighborhood of LA. There are very few tables and seats out front and rear shaded area where you can enjoy and relax with your coffee. I perused their modest menu; they have all the basic coffee and tea drinks as well as signatures. Moreover, they sell coffee bags. Staff were diligent, affable and competent. Atmosphere was chill. Street parking only. Overall, I enjoyed my Cold Brew. And I cannot wait to try their hot drinks.
Wow!! Coffee was delicious. Great customer service, answered all of our questions. The vanilla bean latte is great, with syrup made in house. There is a small seating area along the side of the building with a bathroom for customers. Street parking around the area.
This establishment is conveniently located down the street ,from my sister's house.I really like the look of the cafe.I ordered the iced rose cardamom latte.It was was so good!It had little petals of roses on top of it.I also got a little Armenian cookie.It was of orange flavor.Again really good!I really like that this cafe doesn't have your normal flavors.Very unique and great tasting!The customer service is good as well!The associate there was very nice and informative.I will definitely be back!
Coffee here is good. My sibling got a rose cardamom latte, it was pretty subtle but a nice additional flavor. The barista was super nice (didn't spit on me or yell at me idk my bar for service is low but also he was friendly so this is a tangent) No indoor seating and limited outdoor. Ambiance so superb though the flowers and design is fun. Also seemed like a lot of people just hung out and talked with each other which is nice (I did not talk to them besides saying excuse me to try to use the bathroom) one bathroom available but someone was in it so I ended up going across the street to food4less. Shout out food4less' toilet woooo There is street parking all around I'm not sure about any designated parking for this place

We ordered an iced Salted Caramel Latte. The best iced latte I have ever had. Not sure if it was the fact it was salted caramel instead of just your typical caramel or because they use Proper syrup which goes for over $20 (the smallest bottle). The flavor of their coffee is also really good. It appears as if they take great pride with the coffee beans and flavors they choose after researching their brand. read more

The coffee shop is located on a main street and there is some street parking available. Their iced Mocha has a lot of flavor but it doesn't taste too sweet. As far as food options is mostly pastries that I've seen available when I've gone. It's a nice chill place to enjoy some coffee and relax. read more
Great coffee! I got the pumpkin spice and it was slightly sweet, with pumpkin taste that was not overbearing. The pumpkin even tasted a bit more in the natural side. The barista was super nice and answered all my questions. There a little outdoor seating section to the side that is very cute, but if it's busy I would recommend just grabbing and going One of my fav spots around town! read more

My absolute favorite drink right now: Freddo con panna. It's an Italian style iced espresso topped with whipped cream. The best thing on a hot (or cold) day! I really like this drink because it hits the spot when I want caffeine (or just coffee in general) without having too much milk (like a latte). The whipped cream isn't overly sweet like some places and it's literally a dream in a cup. Not sure if you're supposed to mix in the cream but it I like drinking it as it, without mixing it. You get some sweetness from the cream and then hit with the strong espresso flavor. Street parking only (free) and there are some seats on the side in the back of the cafe. read more

I have been meaning to try this place ever since it's opening and FINALLY got the chance to pop over and oh my goodness am I so glad to have. It's a cute coffee spot with the most beautiful artwork decorating the outside (you can't miss it unless you're trying to). Wonderful outdoor patio seating with the most fragrant and visually stunning passion fruit blossoms lining the space. I have the sweetest tooth for coffee while my husband cringes at any sugar touching his cup so I was a little hesitant to see which one of our pallets this would cater too. Well I shouldn't have been worried because the barista heard our preferences and recommended the most perfect drinks for each of our tastes. My husbands coffee came with a little informational card that you can scan and order the beans to make at home (which yes we did). Super quick service and incrediblly friendly staff made the whole experience even better. Vibes 10/10 Aesthetic 10/10 Service 10/10 Drinks 10/10 All around phenomenal experience and will be coming back (very soon) read more
I was walking in the area and the brightly colored building caught my attention. The business was closed but I peaked in to see what it was. It looked like a coffee shop, so I came back on a Sunday Morning. Lumen is a walk-up espresso bar. There are a few tables out front and a shaded side area where you can sit and enjoy your beverage, or you can get it to go. The menu is simple and basic: Espresso, tea, iced coffee & pastries. They offer a few lattes but nothing fancy or extravagant. However, their espresso is really good. I got a Cortado with almond milk. It was bold & rich. The perfect pick me up, especially because I was tired that morning and had a busy day. The gal who took my order was darling and the barista was friendly. I'd come back. Street parking only, which can be difficult depending on the time of day. read more
Cool spot for a good cup of coffee! I made a pit stop here after running an errand. The space is small and intimate and the latte here is really good. There is no designated parking lot and street parking is a bit tough, but if you can find it, definitely give this place a visit! read more

This place is super cute on the outside, but does not live up to the hype, granted I am only the 10th person to review it, so I know they are fairly new. The place: as mentioned, cute aesthetic but there is only a small patio area and some patio tables with only one umbrella up front. On a hot summer day, it's way too hot to be outside without any coverings. The service: the barista was nice and friendly, and I got my order very quickly. The coffee: I ordered the salted caramel iced latte, it was meh. Needed sugar and I don't even like sugary coffee. Once I added sugar it was better. Their menu is small and very limited amount of pastries. I don't think I'd come back here anytime soon. read more

A very cute coffee spot at the end of Figueroa Street. The coffee is great, but it is a little pricey as you would expect from one of these more hipster and vibey locations. Service is great and the only thing stopping this from getting a perfect five stars is the fact that there isn't anywhere to sit down. I had noticed that a good amount of the reviews for this coffee place focused on the pretty building itself and not the coffee quality. I went to go try it regardless and as much as the location was super pretty...the coffee was amazing as well! I got a decaf vanilla latte with oat milk which had the perfect sweetness and creaminess. The espresso itself also tasted good as there was no strong acidity or sourness. The workers there were also so nice! Only street parking available read more

It was such a pleasant surprise because when trying new coffee shops, I'm scared it's not gonna be good and Lumen totally hit the mark with this one. 9/10 well deserved! Matcha latte (with a little vanilla): kinda disappointing because the matcha was lacking, the color was a light green and I always hope for a deep green color. The flavor was really yummy though. 7/10 but if the matcha were stronger, my rating would be higher. Pain au chocolat: pretty good, not as flaky and "crunchy" as I'd like, but I can't complain. 7.5/10 Outdoor seating area is SO CUTE and relaxing and gorgeous and nature-y! I wanna go back! BYO cup discount!!!! Overall, highly recommend checking this place out!! Sooo cute! read more
I got a vanilla cortado and the coffee was very smooth and nicely pulled. I also got a date+walnut nazook which was sooooo good I highly recommend!! The workers were also very kind. I would suggest to come here if you're looking for a quick place to stop, their patio is nice but there isn't much room to sit. read more

came in on a sunday afternoon right up the bat place has a really nice energy & vibe to this place! Place is super small and has limited seating in outdoor patio. The person that attended us was super patient in what we wanted to ordered. Now for the drinks they were okay but not my type of coffee I usually like to drink. I ordered the Freddo Con Panna drink which was actually a little pricy for the size & for the taste being really strong. RATE 5/10 My friend ordered the Chai Tea Latte which she RATE 6/10 The big highlight for this place was the Armenian Vanilla Gata RATE 10/10 I do see myself coming back to try there other drinka for sure! read more
Unique new coffee spot with delicious espresso! I absolutely love a good espresso with some house cream - I accidentally ordered the "espresso con panna" first which is hot but my husband really enjoyed it. I then ordered the Freddo con panna as I prefer iced! The espresso is strong but smooth and the cream top adds a pleasant sweetness - but not too sweet! It's street parking (which can be difficult to get in this area) , order at the window and there are a very shady spots to sit along the side of the building (kind of a secret garden). read more
