Date: September 17, 2025 Our mom group was playing at a park in the area and decided to get some fuel first. Walked over to 1802 roasters and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small store but does have two tables and some chairs for indoor seating. They do have a restroom so always a plus. The ladies were all super friendly and so kind. Complimented my babies and that's the best compliment to a mother. Ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and its sweetened with agave. Which was perfectly sweetened! Loved my whole drink! Thank you so much for a great morning pick me up!

Cute little spot! Great for studying or working! They also have plenty of parking. I ordered the vanilla latte with almond milk for 6.95.

Delicious fresh baked bagels and homemade schmear. Didn't get a chance to try their roastery options since I only came in for a bagel and some book time. Music is a bit loud for reading, but the music was pleasant! If you need a quiet shop to study or work this may be a stop and go spot but very tasty bagels. Can't wait to try more, quick and friendly service too. Wednesday at 10am is a quiet time.

    Welcome to CAFÉ 1802.

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast. From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon. Overall, I had a good drink and experience.

Nice local coffee shop. There's space to sit and enjoy your drinks and food. Bagel shmear was a favorite! The pistachio cardamom bun was tasty. Service was good.

This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. The parking lot has limited spaces and is a bit awkwardly configured in my experience, but there's also street parking.

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a door on the side of the building but that is not the entrance! The actual entry door is on the corner by the street. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. For people with anxiety: park in their lot which you can get in through cypress avenue. The entry for the cafe is on the north west corner of the building. Walk over to the counter and order what you want, Apple Pay is available. They will call your name when your order is ready, you can pickup at the counter that's around the right side of the order counter.

Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. Parking is limited, and I would've preferred just to park on the street rather than potentially get my car scratched from how tight the spots could be .

Needed to get some work done and saw this place with lots of seating. It was clean, quiet, and spacious when I went on a Thursday afternoon. I sat at the long bar by the window and enjoyed the natural sunlight. Baristas are nice. I saw one had to unfortunately deal with a rude customer but she was very professional about it. I ordered their 1802 coldbrew and it was tasty and very strong lol it may have looked like I was working but I was secretly bouncing off the walls. I appreciated that I was able to work for about 3 hours without being bothered. I'll definitely become a regular!

We almost skipped it but so thankful we added it to our first stop on our last day in SoCal. Aside from their top choice garlic stuffed bagel, we tried the LA Lox which was melt in your mouth lovely with crunch of pickled onions, cucumber, tomato and lox. Our to-go order included extras like French Toast bagel that comes with syrup. Hot drinks like cappuccino and ceremonial matcha also made it into our cart. Everything was beyond better than any bagel we've had. The hype is nothing to shrug off. Articles written about this establishment are posted around. They even have a flyer like handout that you can take that tells the story. It was a crowded place for sure. Locals were pouring in for all the.good things. Atmosphere is very casual, relaxed with high and low tables inside and plenty of patio seeding outside. Parking could be challenging. There is an underground parking area with limited parking. Aside from that, street parking is hit and miss. Ordering is managed through the touch screen available at the front. The staff is very helpful and friendly and able to answer questions. They take your name and phone number and you get a text message when your order is ready as well as staff notifying you by calling out your name. There's also a digital screen showing you that your orders in progress and what's been completed. They have complimentary water and lemon iced tea. They also give out samples of bagels for customers. Pricing is on the high side, but for the type of bagel and satisfying eats and drinks it's acceptable. We will always do our best to come to this place when possible. We wish it would expand to NorCal. Until next time we are smiling with gratitude for the experience.

The quality of food is second to none. Not only are the workers and owners just simply fantastic, their food is too. Our favorites are the MCB (nova lox, tomato, onion, capers & plain cream cheese on an everything bagel) and the Loxsmith (nova lox, crispy salmon skin, radish, pickled fennel, dill & beet cream cheese on an everything bagel). The MCB shines above all the other sandwiches for me and it's our favorite breakfast in the morning. Every bagel has the right amount of chewiness that we all love. My family and I would walk and frequent this place every morning to start the day with their fantastic bagels when we lived in the area. Oh how much we miss the living in Highland Park with the awesome shops and restaurants this city has! 5/27/2026 4 Stars -…read moreminus 1 Star for lack in parking spaces. First time at Belle's. PEC Got it on a plain bagel. The bagel was fluffy and had a nice chew! Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. They did not skimp on the seasonings! Every inch of that bagel was covered in seasonings! Favorite Bagels: Salt Bagel, Everything Bagel BEET CREAM CHEESE Delicious! Smooth, creamy, almost buttery! This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.

I understand it's hard to keep everything clean when a restaurant is busy, but this time the place was almost empty. There were food crumbs on the floor around our table and some tables still had leftovers on them. It wasn't very pleasant while eating. I'll probably come back because the food is worth it. We take our number and go sit and wait at the small blue tables outside like most everyone else. Strike one was their being out of fresh made orange juice, something that should NEVER happen at a bagel purveyor... oh, and my coffee? Was only technically that. Seriously. It tasted more like tea to the point that I questioned whether or not they in fact got my order wrong and it was that. Flavorless. (2/10) I like my salmon bagel and the ratios were pretty on point with there being maybe just a tad too much cream cheese. For $20, this was what I expected and I appreciated the quality olive oil drizzled over the quality ingredients to keep it all moist. Loved the tomato and capers. It's a big meal and half of it went home for later. (8/10) My date's bagel was a nightmare though. Thick wedge of cream cheese on a barely toasted bagel, she had to wipe half of it off just to eat it. And as for this being a "hatch cream cheese?" Like calling my brown water broth 'coffee,' I'd suggest that it only technically met up to the definition: there were 2-3 little chunks of hatch chile. Seriously. Two or three. The white cream cheese hardly had any smell or taste of hatch chile. I know as I ate the other half she took home. Dispel any fantasy you might be harboring of that cool, greenish cream cheese with real chunks of smoked hatch chiles because that doesn't exist here. (2/10) So there you have it. For close to $40 when you factor in tax and tip? This was barely a 3 star bagel experience. Order with care and intention.
