The best salt & pepper bagel in LA! I will literally make the drive from Long Beach for this soft, delicious, savory goodness. It's THAT good. The bagel is fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely worth the trip. My only con and it's becoming a pet peeve of mine is that they're yet another business that only accepts cards. When you make the drive all the way from Long Beach, arrive hungry, and realize you only have cash on you... instant annoyed customer. I'm personally not on board with the "cards only" craze. Cash is king (or queen ) always and forever in my book! Please give us cash-carrying customers a chance to get our bagel fix, too. But the bagel itself is five dazzling stars read more

This is my go to spot every time I get my haircut down the block. I'm here every two weeks. Coffee here is solid. I've had cold brews and lattes mostly but they are a good balance of flavors, and I love the simplicity of the menu. Customer service is awesome. Despite only being here every two weeks, they manage to remember my name. Impressive! There is a good amount of counter seating along the windows and 3 tables (one 4 seater, 2 - 2 seaters). I've been here to do some work and studying before on random afternoons. The one challenge is at peak times, parking is tougher. They do have a lot but it can fill quickly. There's plenty of street parking around the area so just plan accordingly. This is LA after all :). Don't let it stop you from grabbing coffee read more

Tasty food ube Bagel with eggs cheese tomato The only place in the vicinity that has a phone number, someone picked up the phone and took my order. That shouldn't be a thing to point out or get an award for , it in that area of town and in this day and age, apparently, it is. Quiet lovely space to meet up for coffee. read more

Love this cute little shop! It isn't very big, just a few scattered tables and a bar. They have a medium sized menu with a few cool bagels to choose from. I got a dirty chai and salt and pepper bagel. Definitely hit the spot after a long drive. The dirty chai was strong and tasty but that bagel was divine. So absolutely amazing and well toasted, which is hard to find. A great little spot! read more

Date: September 17, 2025 Our mom group was playing at a park in the area and decided to get some fuel first. Walked over to 1802 roasters and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small store but does have two tables and some chairs for indoor seating. They do have a restroom so always a plus. The ladies were all super friendly and so kind. Complimented my babies and that's the best compliment to a mother. Ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and its sweetened with agave. Which was perfectly sweetened! Loved my whole drink! Thank you so much for a great morning pick me up! read more

I love you guys, but I really wish you would offer to cut the bagel sandwiches in half, I only remember to ask half the time

Delicious fresh baked bagels and homemade schmear. Didn't get a chance to try their roastery options since I only came in for a bagel and some book time. Music is a bit loud for reading, but the music was pleasant! If you need a quiet shop to study or work this may be a stop and go spot but very tasty bagels. Can't wait to try more, quick and friendly service too. Wednesday at 10am is a quiet time. read more

customer service is horrible. They don't take cash and force you to pay with credit card. On top of forcing you to pay with credit card they charge a 4% surcharge which is significantly higher than the credit card fees they pay as a merchant. Would never go back or recommend. read more

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast. From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon. Overall, I had a good drink and experience. read more

This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. The parking lot has limited spaces and is a bit awkwardly configured in my experience, but there's also street parking. read more

The St Rafi bagels are outstanding (I am from the east coast and these are authentic); the people working there are sweet; their parking lot convenient (on street, too); and the coffee is excellent. You can sit at a little window bar or hit the road with your treats. No notes. read more

Bagels are great, but the customer service is consistently poor. They regularly over-toast my bagel despite asking for it to be lightly toasted. Service is extremely slow, even with 2-3 workers and very little to no customers present; they don't really seem to be concerned with expediency. Their lattes are inconsistent and often taste like plain milk, which is unfortunate because they are very good when made correctly. To top it off, their cream cheese portions have become very conservative lately--barely enough to spread across the bagel. As much as I appreciate the quality of product, when made correctly, their inconsistency and carelessness overshadow it. For the prices, I definitely expect better service and attention to detail. I've been coming here for years, yet I've seen no improvement in execution. It's very likely that I will not be returning. read more

First time here and I'm all about supporting small businesses and I wanted to love it, but sadly my iced vanilla was terrible. It was all almond milk and way too sweet. The espresso was non existent. So bummed and disappointed. 2 stars fur service. read more

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a door on the side of the building but that is not the entrance! The actual entry door is on the corner by the street. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. For people with anxiety: park in their lot which you can get in through cypress avenue. The entry for the cafe is on the north west corner of the building. Walk over to the counter and order what you want, Apple Pay is available. They will call your name when your order is ready, you can pickup at the counter that's around the right side of the order counter. read more

I am not surprised that the establishment was empty . As soon as we walked in , we received the cold shoulder. A woman was at the register, then turned around when she saw us & gave her back to us. Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. Parking is limited, and I would've preferred just to park on the street rather than potentially get my car scratched from how tight the spots could be . read more

Needed to get some work done and saw this place with lots of seating. It was clean, quiet, and spacious when I went on a Thursday afternoon. I sat at the long bar by the window and enjoyed the natural sunlight. Baristas are nice. I saw one had to unfortunately deal with a rude customer but she was very professional about it. I ordered their 1802 coldbrew and it was tasty and very strong lol it may have looked like I was working but I was secretly bouncing off the walls. I appreciated that I was able to work for about 3 hours without being bothered. I'll definitely become a regular! read more

Horrible service never coming back. Walked in and the young lady didn't even greet me. Don't come here!

Was greeted upon entry. Had a few questions about the beverage and bagel menu. The cashier was irritable and offered very little customer service. I ordered a coffee, iced tea, and bagel. The tea and coffee were okay and the bagel was a hard pass. Onion bagel w/ Cheddar Jalapeño smear- 2/10 The bagel texture was there but the burnt onion on the bagel was overpowering. As for the smear, it was on the runny side and tasted like canned nacho cheese sauce mixed with cream cheese. The first overall experience I received will unfortunately be my last. read more

Bagels are low key rare on the east side ‍ these are very good too. Black sesame lattes are a personal fave but the coffee didnt come through in the drink. Great little coffee shop, close to the river. They take apple pay which was great since I came by for a spontaneous walk. This is my first time back to this coffee shop since they first opened in 2020 during COVID. I remember getting their coffee from a drive through! Anyways - I walked in and this place was beautiful! A simple clean aesthetic, just the way I like it. The first time I came here, I actually did not like the cold brew but today the cold brew was amazing. It was smooth with no acidity. What got my attention was their bagel selection (Saint Raf Bagel). I came here at around 8:30AM and all the bagels were fresh. I recommend that you come in between opening and 9:00AM for the hot bagels! I got a simple Onion Bagel with their Scallion Cream Cheese. The outside was crunchy while the inside was fluffy. I am excited to come back to try their Calamsi Shmear and their Kinako Brown Sugar Shmear! I will be honest - I think these bagels are just as a good, if not better, than Belles Bagels and Courage Bagels (minus the everything burnt bagel). If you are looking for coffee and bagels, then this is the place to go. There is plenty of seating for inside and outside Parking - They do have a small parking lot but there is a good handful of free street parking. read more

I drive past this every day on the way to work and home and didn't realize what a little gem this place is. I've only been in twice now, both times they've been busy even though it doesn't look busy so I think they get a lot of foot traffic from locals. I was blown away by the quality of their coffee. This is the real deal. I can't say I'm a coffee connoisseur, but I'm picky. This is what coffee should taste like this is how Starbucks used to taste like before they went all fast food processing their drinks and I know saying Starbucks even in the same conversation as this place is taboo Ha Ha. I took a chance and bought a bag of decaf beans Just by the experience I had and I'm blown away. It was a little pricey, but isn't even in the same universe as Starbucks bag beans or K cups the taste is absolutely lovely. This is truly you get what you pay for. I'm sure this is what coffee is supposed to taste like if you're drinking real coffee well worth the price and far exceeds the value of what I'm throwing away when I was going to Starbucks money wise. BUY A BAG you won't be disappointed. I recommend getting drinks from the refrigerator section right when you walk in the door, purple bagel were lovely, I haven't tried the sandwiches that they make yet but I grabbed a bag of chips. I've had an Americano and a latte and a couple kombucha drinks and now the decaf bag of beans. Everything has been top-notch and they are super nice and welcoming. I tried another specialty coffee place that's within 4 miles of this place and they were a little too snooty for me. This place will not disappoint. : ) well worth driving a little ways past Starbucks to get here. Feels like a little coffee place in NYC or somewhere hip. read more

I visited this place for the first time half an hour ago. I got a cold brew. It's one of the worst cold brews I've ever had. Undrinkable. It's not only way too strong to the point of being unpleasant to drink, it also has a strange flavor and after taste. I went home and added simple syrup and milk. Didn't help so I just threw it away. A waste of money. And my partner's iced latte also had an odd flavor to it that he didn't enjoy either. We basically just flushed $14 down the drain. read more

I was excited to finally try this place. The rating is primarily for the bagels. The bagels are amazing!! Super fresh and airy. I was not impressed by the coffee. The coffee was a bit powdery, I couldn't tell if that was because of the mocha or if it was the coffee. I will come back specifically for the bagels! Service was average. read more

This is one of the best bagels I've had in LA (at least tied with Courage, but they're very different styles) and it's in a much more pleasant and relaxing setting. Parking is easy, seating is ample and low pressure (someone was literally asleep in a counter seat and no one was pressuring them), and I took a few work meetings in there without bothering anyone. I ordered the whitefish bagel, which came so overstuffed I had to eat it as though it was open face. No complaints here. No microscopic schmear here. The matcha tonic was also surprisingly wonderful and refreshing. I'm a sucker for anything with tonic water, and adding citrus syrup just made it more like a summery drink that just happened to have the grassiness (and caffeine hit) of matcha. read more

Cute little coffee shop in Cypress park. Has a parking lot and plenty of seats indoor and in the back of the store. Got the Matcha #2, it's their take on matcha latte but with coconut milk. Not sure if that's the standard, because I know a lot of girlies are light ice girls! But not all of us are!!! also they have Termites!
