I recently tried this coffee shop while I was waiting for my daughters nail appointment. I ordered a couple items one being an almond crossaint. I forgot about this item and when my daughter's nail appointment was done no more than 15 min (child manicure) I came back to ask for the pastrie I forgot I asked the same guy that rung up my order. He actually seemed kind of bothered that I came back to asked for it. All the other items I got were okay but the almond crossaint that he gave me was super stale. First 2 times here, I thought the lattes were really watery. I shouldn't have given them another chance, but only cuz it's next to my pilates class, I did and that was the last straw. I got a hojicha latte with no ice because I was going to drink it while driving and didn't want a diluted bev. The cup came barely half filled and I had to ask umm is this all? The guy nonchalantly said yep we give only 6 oz of milk or whatever and the rest is ice. Sure, I understand that cafes may have a certain ratio but come on... this for around $7 w tip ??? On my trip to LA, my group needed to pick some things up from Whole Foods and happened to notice this coffee shop was in the next shopping center. The shop is small, decorated well, and has a lot of character. They had a lot of unique drink options, like the Chagaccino I ordered, or the dirty Coke. The Chagaccino appealed to me because I'm trying to limit my sugar right now and it's sweetened with monk fruit extract. It tasted so good. I've never actually had mushroom coffee before, but this really just tasted like a delicious cappuccino. Someone I was with tried the dirty Coke (espresso in Coke) and said it was really good, too! A very good neighborhood coffee shop. I've been to both locations and quality is consistent. We both had Cortados and they were perfect! Rich, smooth and not overly hot like some shops serve. The staff was friendly and moved the line along quickly. There is limited seating including a couple of spots outside. The vibe is comfortable and no one is rushing you. There is a small shared parking lot that is pretty tight even if you can find a spot and even harder to get out of. I recommend parking at the Whole Foods down the street. This coffee spot deserves 0 stars but then I wouldn't be able to leave a review. We ordered 1 iced salted maple latte and 2 regular iced oat matcha(s). Once we all tried our drinks we realized the matcha tasted like straight milk. After asking kindly if we could replace the drinks or add more matcha the barista negotiated which would cost less (for him), asked us to pay for an extra pour of matcha in each drink at which point I let him know they were unacceptable and we'd like a full replacement, he didn't negotiate this time. After a beat he said "Actually I can add matcha at no cost." We agreed believing he would deliver a quality drink and got powdered matcha bits and powder all over the lids. See the pictures attached. This was my first time to Constellation and it was a lovely experience! First there IS a parking lot, but I wasn't sure if it was theirs or another businesses so I did metered street parking. Second, if you're working it's a little small in there with a few scattered outlets, but we all made it work! I had to take a meeting and it was cute and quaint in there. Stopped by here for a caffeine kick and some pastries. It's kind of a hidden cafe far off from the street, and parking is a pain, their parking is one way and you will have to go out backwards to leave the lot. The shop itself is quite cozy - it's small and narrow, and can fit maybe 10 people. Don't plan on staying there to work if it's busy. I believe their pastries are brought in by an outside vendor, and they're very good. I also had a rose vanilla latte with almond milk and it was beautiful and delish. 1/5 stars for the parking. It shares a lot with a small gym and the parking lot is always full or just suck a hassle to get in and out of. I opted for just parking on the street and paying 75¢ at the meter. I ordered an sweetened iced matcha latte with oat and an iced vanilla rose latte with oat. I love that they hand whisked the matcha but i think the ratio might have been off because all I tasted was oat milk. The iced vanilla rose latte was very flowery so lived up to its name. I also got the jalapeño cream cheese croissant and the blueberry muffin. Croissant was nice and flaky with a hint of spiciness from the cream cheese. I asked for an extra drizzle of the maple to balance out the coffee a little more and it was perfect! The maple flavor complimented the espresso so well and still didn't make the drink taste overly sweet. The worker behind the register was friendly and didn't seem annoyed when i asked for the extra bit of drizzle after already getting my drink. A quirky hole in the wall coffee shop in near the Whole Foods in Silver Lake. Not bad for working. The WiFi is a little slow and the seating isn't plentiful. But what's there is comfy, there are some outlets, and I work best to hip-hop beats (which is rare among local coffee shops, but they have it). The coffee is so-so but the pastries are amazing. The proprietor is a big Dodger fan so keep your eye out for LA swag. read more

My favorite coffee shop in silver lake! This place is the best. I stop in at least once a week for a matcha latte, I order it a 1/4 sweet and it is perfect. Their pastries are amazing too. I've had the everything bagel and chorizo + Gruyère croissants and both are so delicious and have lots of flavor. My favorite pastry is their gluten free chocolate cookie sandwich, I've had it with both the coffee cream and pistachio filling. I'm not even gluten free but it is literally so good!! Interior decor was adorable with plenty of natural light. Atmosphere was very relaxing with good music playlist. They have very small indoor space, so, seats are limited. However, they have some outdoor tables for customers. Moreover, they have a convenient parking lot. I came early Friday morning and I was perfunctorily greeted with a soft tone by a tall young red haired male barista. I perused their menu and I ordered a hot Cappuccino (8oz). It was really smooth and perfectly made. You can tell the beans were of exceptional quality. They also have pastries albeit limited. Service was on point. Prices are very competitive but bare in mind they charge extra 4% on all credit card transactions. Menu on the wall are cash marketed price. Overall, as a first time customer, I had a good order experience. I recommend this coffee shop. read more

I first learned about Constellation Coffee through their La Cañada Flintridge location, and I was excited to see their new Silverlake branch once it opened. From their excellent service to their superb coffee, this is one of my favorite local cafes. I'm a fan of their specialty lattes! The Rose Vanilla latte balances its floral and sweet flavors expertly, and the pomegranate and chocolate flavors in the Grenade gives it a tart spin on your usual mocha. The interior has a calm ambiance that I could see would working well for reading, and they also offer merchandise and bags of coffee for sale. The staff always patiently answer my questions about brewing coffee at home, and I've enjoyed their recommendations when I'm looking for coffee beans to purchase. The attached parking lot can be busy (it's shared with several businesses), but street parking is ample. You can also get pastries for purchase though the standouts for me are the coffee and friendly vibes! read more

I got the Rose Vanilla Latte and it was oddly refreshing? I love me any iced coffee, but this flavor was one I have never tasted before! The floral notes were definitely coming through judging by the name. My friends and I also shared a pastry, and I honestly forgot the name of it. CONSTELLATION COFFEE is found at the cusp of Silver Lake and Frogtown. If I had to make a choice between the two on where this shop is, I'd go with Frogtown. You might miss this shop because it's at the back of a small center and you might not see it from the street. You'll have to be going really slow in your car and looking carefully towards the back of the center so you won't miss it. And you wouldn't want to miss CONSTELLATION COFFEE. Their CORTADO is solidly good. Strong, not too tart and has just the right amount of milk. The PURPLE RAIN is interesting. Missed the transformation, but did not miss the great flavor. The LATTE is also very good. Not milky at all. You get a good selection of viennoisserie too. There were at least six different kinds of croissants like the SAGE AND SPANISH CHEDDAR CROISSANT, which was awesome! Vegan options are also available. As mentioned before, this coffee shop is part of a center so there is a large free parking lot. If for some unknown reason, the parking lot is full (maybe because the crossfit people are working out in the parking lot), the supermarket parking lot is right next door. read more
