    Cookie options and their book.
    Zharmaine B.

I'm a baker and cookies are also my specialty so with that said, I am very judgemental of cookies. You won't catch me at a Crumbl (my apologies if you're a fan). I was curious about Levain. Often times when something like this gets the hype, it's usually just that, hype. I'm a sucker for cookbooks, so I grabbed one of theirs. It's more of their story and a couple of recipes sprinkled through out. What I was most curious about was the thickness of their cookies. It's a skill to be able to keep the outside of the cookie at just the right about of crunch in order to cook the middle. Most people overcook the outside to make sure the inside is cooked or vice versa where the outside is perfect and the inside is undercooked. Levain got it right. It wasn't dry. It wasn't undercooked. Just right. I'm not sure if their flavors rotate but that day I bought choc chip walnut, double choc chip, lemon, caramel coconut. My favorites were choc chip walnut & caramel cookie. Which is a shocker because I'm not really a fan of chocolate chips and I never reach for caramel as my first option. The flavors were balanced. Not one flavoring overpowering the other. We ate the cookies before I could get a picture of each one. The inside is small. But the line moved quick. The employees were nice and helpful.

Love the cookies here however, the Mother's Day special cookie tin for $17? No cookies just the tin. Congratulations. You bought an empty metal container. Lucky that I asked, the customer next to me also asked. We agreed that they should change the sign and make it more clear..no cookies just the empty tin. The girl that were helping me, look tired when she answered, just a tin no cookies. Poor her. Must have been giving the same answered for the 47th times today. .

This store is big & clean. They had a small line, but it moved quickly. I ordered 3 cookies- dark chocolate chocolate chip, caramel coconut chocolate chip, & white chocolate macadamia. Their cookies come thick & dense. I love to eat them warm or with ice cream. Sometimes eating a whole one is too sweet for me so I'll eat half at a time. Parking- street metered parking

Ordered a scoop each of their ube and vanilla ice cream. Also ordered a dark chocolate chocolate chip cookie which was a delicious soft splurge. Their cookies are thicker towards the center and very soft with easy to break apart cookie and chocolate parts. Definitely a nice treat to have, a good balanced sweetness with the dark chocolate intensity and the soft cookie. The ube ice cream was a nice new option that was pleasant, not overly sweet or synthetic. The vanilla ice cream was the clearest indicator of how creamy their ice cream was, rich and devoid of any bad notes. The small bits of what may be vanilla bean are pleasant and quite nice to have mixed thoroughly in this ice cream. Staff were very kind, not too busy right at opening hours but I can imagine the bustle of crowds later.

The chocolate chip cookie was to die for. Definitely coming back for that one. The chocolate chip brioche was good too but the ends of it were mostly bread. The center was incredible though. The interior is super cute and they even have postcards.

Sometimes all you need is a really gooey, thick, warm cookie to brighten up your day. Levain bakery is absolutely the place for that. I ordered the classic chocolate walnut and tried the coffee toffee, and both were incredible. It's exactly what you hope for when you come here. Service was quick and friendly, and the shop itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Parking can be a little tough in the Larchmont area, but they have a parking lot right next to the building. Left very happy and already thinking about my next cookie run.

Had seen this bakery all over social media with people raving about it, so we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to try a couple cookies. It was packed. I loved the flavor of the coffee toffee cookie - really good combination of flavors - though I personally wish it had been a little more moist. I'd give it an 8/10. My partner, on the other hand, said his was perfect.

WHEN: Sun @6:15pm This was next door to our dinner spot, and I figure since we didn't have any of their cookies during our NYC trip, it wouldn't hurt to have just one since we are here. TWO-CHIP CHOCOLATE CHIP - $5.75 Oh boy, it was warm! It had a nice toasty outer and gooey wariness towards the center. This cookie is thick and plenty of chocolate chips. I'm so glad I got this! The shop was lovely with limited seating outside, and while service was a bit slow, the quality in the cookie makes it all worth it.

I have heard about these famous NYC cookies for years and finally got to try them out myself in Larchmont Village. I have heard about their long long lines and that people wait in nasty weather, but luckily for me I got to come by at time and just walk up and order. When at Levain Bakery, you gotta get their classic chocolate chip walnut cookie. It's thick and dense and filled with so much chocolate and walnuts. I can only imagine that it would be even better hot and fresh out the oven. I also got a cup of their peppermint hot chocolate. The perfect drink for walking around Larchmont Village. Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like a chocolate chip walnut cookie, hot chocolate, and shopping!

I was introduced to Levain Bakery by a friend who genuinely loves baked goods, especially cookies and cupcakes. I'll be honest, I wasn't particularly enthusiastic at first. Cookies are cookies, or so I thought. But my first real introduction to Levain actually came before the Larchmont visit, when a friend sent a box of their cookies from New York. That changed everything. Levain's original location is in New York City, where the bakery first opened on the Upper West Side. The cookie I tried back then was incredibly rich, moist, and satisfying. The kind of cookie you remember and want again. The portions are generous, almost excessive in the best way. One cookie is easily something you can enjoy over two days. Today, we stopped by the Levain Bakery location in Larchmont Village, Los Angeles. My friend ordered another cookie, and I went with one of my favorites, the peanut butter chocolate chip. I also had an Americano to balance out the sweetness. The cookie was exactly what I remembered. Thick, rich, soft in the center, and clearly made with quality ingredients. It's indulgent, filling, and meant to be enjoyed slowly. But if you love cookies, this is one of those places that actually lives up to the hype. I'd give Levain Bakery a solid 10 out of 10. It's a quality product, consistently good, and something I would absolutely recommend. If you enjoy baked goods, this is one cookie I'm confident you'll love.

Parking! Parking is so important..... and there is parking right next to the building ... we never have problems finding parking when we go to Levain on Larchmont . As usual and usually busy however fast and quick service , just walking into this clean establishment with amazing baked goods smell makes you want to buy every single cookie! There a story behind the cookie creation . I've actually visited the original store in New York and if you don't know the story , you truly cannot appreciate the entrepreneurship and how it's grown to be such an established business. I'm a huge fan of the oatmeal raisin cookie and the two chocolate chip cookie. They are like packed cookies great for hikes and activity snacks....that will hold you throughout the day . I also enjoy their latte and ice coffee . I love the vibe , the service and the friendly staff that no matter the time of day , they have jamming attitudes and a smile of their face. Goes to show they love working at Levain Bakery.

    I'm sorry everyone. I'm not a fan.
    Libby R.

Maybe I'm just not hip. I'm old now. But sorry kids, I do not get the appeal. The cookies are like scones with an identity crisis and the flavors were so bad that after one bite of each of the three we ordered, no one wanted to eat the leftovers - and there were a lot of leftovers. The staff were friendly and we went right before closing so they didn't have to be. But for the price? Meh isn't a hard enough word.

The double matcha was topped with a thick layer of sweet cream which balanced nicely with the slight matcha bitterness. The jasmine matcha, which was the seasonal drink, was very jasmine forward and garnished with flowers (I ended up spitting them out; had the texture of disintegrating paper straws).
