A new and welcome addition to the Grand Central Market! You only have three bun selections from which to choose. My Saturday selection is the blue berry lemon cinnamon roll: a balance of sweet sour lemon. I like balance, but sweet may take me to the dark side of the force. Your greeting begins and ends with a smile. I didn't ask for a recommendation or pleasant surprise this time. Needless to say my craving for something sweet was satisfied. Lively ambience, with music playing courtesy of the baker. Cinnamon rolls, I am coming for you!

Warning! Eat Cinnies at your own risk. One bite will ruin you for all other cinnamon rolls. I was only going to buy one cinnamon roll to try and was debating between $10 for the original and $12 for the blueberry lemon. (Yes, the prices did cause me pause.) However, when I saw the cinnamon rolls being lifted out of the tray and being placed into boxes, something in my brain overrode my frugal sensibilities and I knew I had to get them both. There was only one person at the counter, who would take several orders and then fulfill them all at one go. This was their second day of business in Grand Central Market and they were only selling two cinnamon rolls per person. On opening day, people were buying 10 at once and they had sold out way too fast. The rolls were warm and gooey. The dough incredibly soft, light and fluffy. The frosting was luscious. Best of all, the rolls were not too sweet. This is what love tastes like. I can see why Phil Rosenthal and Nancy Silverton chose to serve Cinnies at Max and Helen's. These are one of the best bites in LA.

Thirteen dollars for a cinnamon roll had me raising an eyebrow. Then I tried the Blueberry Lemon Cinnamon Roll and that eyebrow went right back down. Best cinnamon roll I've ever had, no debate. Fresh, moist, and packed with flavor from the first bite to the last. The price makes complete sense once you taste it. Cinnies has a customer for life

New bag!!! Love these so much.

OMGz!!!! I mean the BEST cinnamon roll I have had! I have had many, and these are so good. That isn't even talking about each special's that are so tasty, my fav on those is the lemon berry. Also they last for a little over a week with a little Microwave or oven touch it's like a brand new one. Just the best dough and fillings are just the right amount. Now lets talk about all the people who are a part of this company. I meet them first at a farmers market, and just so kind, a little silly and just great attitudes. Now that they have a bric and mortar you can easily find them here. No matter where you go farmers market or downtown, you MUST get one... dozen LOL. No, I always get 1 & 1, then a share box for friends... at least.

    The Original.

$11 & worth every bite. Warm, soft, enough cinnamon & not overly sweet. Good dough & frosting ratio. I tried the OG. The staff is very friendly. Located inside grand central market.

So good, I had to come back. I'm so glad they have this location because it's so convenient for me. Went and got the OG, love that it's served warm. It's a HUGE cinnamon roll. This time I went, there was no line so it was in and out. Can't wait to come back

Service here is amazing. They are super nice and friendly. Cinnamon rolls come warm. They are just opening, so no coffee yet. I tried the OG. It was pretty good but had a huge rock sized chunk of cinnamon in the middle that was really hard inedible.

The delicious icing covered cinnamon rolls caught our eye walking down the aisles of the central market. The cinnamon roll was warm and had a great task the icing was good not too sweet with a hint of lemon flavoring. The customer service was friendly and fast even though she had a line. The location was clean and cute.

Only thing was that they have a policy that they will find a table for you when your food is ready. However they are so busy so everyone just kind of finds their own table. My mother sat down on a chair as her knees were hurting and we were next to order. The man who ordered in front of us who didn't even have his food yet asked the worker to move my mom so he could sit since they ordered first even when his food wasn't out so my mom just had to stand when she was in pain which was kind of annoying when our food came out at the same time and there was a table that opened up right next to them. Great desserts but just kinda was upset with how things were handled like maybe could have asked the man to just take the opening seat next to him since an elderly woman was sitting after ordering.

As for the drinks and food. What we've had here has always been good. Best to eat their Croffle and baked goods there. Although Matcha is not for my liking, I'm more for their Taro Drink. B says the Matcha here is one of the better ones she's had. I have to agree even their Matcha Ice Cream is good. We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

The pictures don't lie. It's got that clean, modern coffee shop aesthetic, but a few quirky touches keep it from feeling like every other minimalist café. There's a photo booth in the back (which I assume explains the name) and a display of sunglasses that I never quite figured out. Also, no bathroom code. Always appreciated. Neither of us usually orders einspanners, but my wife got the vanilla and I ordered the mocha, both iced with oat milk. They were excellent. Creamy and rich and the coffee underneath was tasty even before mixing in the cream. The pastries looked beautiful and artful, although I was hoping for something simple like an almond croissant. The vibe outside on the patio was great. Lots of people working on laptops, plenty of room to settle in, and it felt more like a co-working space than a typical coffee shop. It's also super dog-friendly, has ample parking in its own lot and we even found easy street parking out front. Everything about this place just worked. We'll gladly make the 25-minute drive again.

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good!
