Matcha was so good! Good quality matcha powder was used. It was a really clean cafe too, I had a pleasant time too.

We tried their most popular drink and saw that many other people ordered it as well. The matcha flavor was very strong and the drink isn't overly sweetened. I like my drink a little sweeter, so I asked for a little more agave and it was perfect for me. The store has a few tables inside, it was busy on a Friday afternoon but no long wait. ig: @cravingswithcat

Sunday Brunch - cold brew tea

Very popular tea house in ktown. Ordered the 'Sunday Brunch' which is a drink under their cold brew tea offerings. Was expecting a high quality drink considering the price point of $7.25 Tasted like a drink from Starbucks but with inflated prices. Cup was filled to the brim with ice. Literally 80% was ice. Parking situation was horrendous as well.

Did the OOO--Damo hop like many others, definitely worth it, and was great to drink with some of the sweet salt breads. Most good quality matchas start tasting about the same to me in latte form, but the real standout at Damo is what you get for $7-8. Many other cafes will give you a fraction of the matcha here, and if you want a double or triple shot, enjoy that $14 matcha! The matchas are hand whisked to order which means the line is a bit slow but it's worth the wait. My latte was perfectly grassy and milky with a little bit of sweetener and that einspanner got inhaled.

Our LA Adventure day lead us here for the last stop of our day.. We wanted to try a bunch of matcha places today and get super caffienated! I wish this was our first matcha spot since their matcha was an einspanner style and it was more earthy than the others we tried. It's tasty and I see why people like it but this is way more matcha tasting and earthy. Traditional flavor with sweetness. Small parking lot and small shop. Lots of seats but filled by 1pm already but also it was a holiday. Tasty Matcha Eispanner!

Cute little spot with affordable tea and matcha options! Friendly service, nice crowd. Enjoyed my matcha einspinner, definitely good quality matcha, amazing velvety foam. 8/10, would definitely come again! - : no wi-fi and charging outlets...

Damo is one of my favorite cafes in LA, and definitely has a special place in my heart because it's where I discovered hojicha! Their hojicha is so nutty, creamy, and balanced. It's not too sweet but just enough that it brings out the hojicha's flavor. I've also tried their matcha, which I think is equally as delicious. You can tell Damo uses good quality hojicha and matcha, which is why I keep coming back. The cafe is also super aesthetic and if it weren't so busy, I imagine it would be a decent place to study. It's is located in a small plaza so parking can be difficult during more busy hours, but I've never struggled too much and normally find parking within 10 minutes. Highly recommend for anyone visiting LA or anyone who hasn't tried hojicha yet. Theirs is life-changing!

I visited Damo in Koreatown this afternoon and tried the Strawberry Einspänner. It was a bit on the sweet side, but overall delicious. However, I was quite disappointed by the lack of decaf options. I am very sensitive to caffeine, so while I enjoy regular coffee in the morning, I always have to stick to decaf in the afternoon. When I asked which menu items could be made decaf, I was told that none of their coffee or matcha drinks have a decaf option. The only decaf-friendly choices available were the Strawberry Einspänner and the Strawberry Tonic. Because of this, I'll only be able to visit this spot in the morning if I want coffee. It's a bit inconvenient for someone like me who needs decaf options later in the day.

DAMO is one of the OG matcha hotspots in Ktown and continues to stay consistent. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a modern interior with about 6-7 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different matcha, coffee, and tea drinks to choose from. I got the Chocolate Forest and it had a nice balance and depth of flavor. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. There is a reason why this spot has over 1,000+ positive reviews!

Damo line was a bit long but that's expected since it landed on my fyp to try out. nice staff who thanked us for waiting. I thought it was unique for there to be a little bench and the end of the counter where the drink pick up was, and was really interesting sitting there watching the baristas work their magic lol. Me and my friends ordered the Strawberry Matcha Einspanner & Hojicha Einspanner. Pretty presentation of drinks! There wasn't much strawberry puree in it so the strawberry flavor lacked a little, but still a good matcha. My friend kept raving about the hojicha but I didn't try his drink, maybe next time!

I've had Damo on my radar for a while, and since I was in the area, I decided it was finally time to stop by! Parking: Let's start with the not-so-great part --the parking situation. It's a bit tricky, as I had to hunt for street parking. There is a plaza that shares space with some small businesses, which helps a bit, but it can still be a hassle. Ambience: The café has that warm light cozy vibe with tables available, but I found a chairs to be a bit uncomfortable for lounging. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to keep in mind if you plan to stay for a while. I would definitely find this place too loud for studying. Drinks: I ordered the Chestnut Einspanner. I've never seen this flavor anywhere else! It was a sweet latte with a little surprise at the bottom, a softened chestnut. If you enjoy sweeter lattes, this one is a must try. My friend got the Yuzu Coffee tonic and she said that she liked how the coffee bean perfectly complemented the citrus flavor. The sweetness was just right, and it was definitely energizing! Service: The service was quick and the presentation of the drinks was cute, adding to the overall experience.

OOO i really like their cream tops here, Id say it the creamiest ones I have had, so if you are into that, Id definitely give Damo a try! I ordered a hojicha einspanner & it was so YUMMY! If you enjoy a roasted, nutty profile, less caffeine than a matcha. I would recommend the hojicha here! In terms of matcha, Id say this one has a creamier lighter taste than rok(stronger umami, nutty matcha) but go here if you prefer that :)), I can still taste the quality and enjoy how they make a chocolate cream tops version with matcha as well! There is some seating for small parties along the wall. Drinks came out quick within 2-3 minutes & workers were efficient & friendly! The only down Id say is the crowded parking lot if you come during peak hours, but it is ktwon after all, next best thing is street parking.

In the past week I've been in LA, I checked out four different matcha spots, and DAMO was my favorite out of them all. I don't normally repeat places on vacation, but DAMO was an exception. I went with my cousin this past Friday morning before convincing my friend to go earlier today after church. The line at DAMO isn't too long, and they're pretty fast at making the drinks. Both times I've gone, the drinks have been consistent and the perfect "not too sweet" level for me. HOJICHA EINSPENER - 7 I didn't realize until after I ordered that it's not hojicha latte with hojicha cream -- it's just hojicha tea, which was a much more refreshing and lighter option. And I really enjoyed it! The hojicha tea was pretty roasty and the strength was perfect. The cream was smooth and also had a good hojicha flavor. The hojicha tea was delicious on its own but also great when mixed with the hojicha cream. MATCHA LATTE - 7 My cousin got the Matcha Einspener, and I really enjoyed the earthiness of matcha, but didn't find the white cream necessary. So I tried the matcha latte instead, and it was perfect. This is seriously some high quality matcha drink. The flavor was deep with a nice frothy texture. I would highly recommend. If you're already in this plaza, definitely grab a matcha or hojicha (can't say which one I like more) from DAMO and swing over to Out of Ordi for some salt bread. That combination hits, and I did it twice while I was visiting. I would highly recommend this pipeline -- my cousin/friend waited in line at OOO while I grabbed the drinks from DAMO. Next time I'm here, I would love to try their Strawberry Matcha Einspener or one of their tonic options.

Travis was so accommodating, even though at some point we had taken over several tables (in our defense it was not particularly busy). Now, I come here sometimes when I'm not running late to work/have some extra time to spare in the morning. The space is set up great for catching up with friends (like we did) or getting some work done (I always see at least one person on a laptop when I drop by). There's a little parking lot right in front, and I've been able to park there easily each visit. I normally order some sort of cold coffee. On my most recent visit I got a blue mint latte, which was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. I'm also a fan of the pastries. I've had some sort of tomato pastry and a jalapeño cheese croissant, both of which satisfied whatever savory craving I was having. I appreciate the resources posted, the signage that's up, and the community events that happen here. The energy and intention behind this space are wonderful.
