This cafe has a nice ambiance and free parking! Something that you don't really see in ktown. I visited during the weekday so it wasn't packed. Their photo booth is really cute and easy to use, but you do have to pay $10 which is not bad at all. They have their pastries facing the street entrance to the cafe (not the entrance from the parking lot). I didn't know that they had pastries on display until after I had payed for drinks and had to make line again. Can't imagine how frustrating it can be when it's a bit busy and having to make line again. I ordered a regular matcha latte with oat milk, the color was promising but once I took a sip of it I was disappointed. If you're a person that likes sweet matcha then this is for you. I personally I didn't like it just because it was sweet and grainy. I could see matcha but could not taste it. My sister got an iced vanilla latte and said it was really good! I had a day to spend in LA, and my local friend insisted that I try Memorylook's hojicha einspanner. She let me know that Memorylook is known for einspanners and they have their own parking lot. Found out about this cafe because my partner showed it to me. I was quite intrigued in the drinks after seeing the menu, and also in the fact that they sell stylish eyewear. The shop was busy and unfortunately the service felt a little bit chaotic. There were about 7 employees behind the counter, all which seemed to be preoccupied with their own conversations and not very friendly or welcoming during my interaction with them. I thought the cashier was a little bit rude & impatient when I needed just a little bit more time to look at the menu. We came at 2PM and they were completely all out of donuts. I was reading off my phone for my family's order to which I was screamed at that there were no donuts as I didn't know that what I was reading off were donut flavors. The wait was a little bit more than average but we kept ourselves busy with their photo booth, which was probably the highlight of our visit. There was a lot of seating outside and the shop itself was spacious but with minimal seating inside. I appreciated their matcha and coffee options. Their cocoa forest matcha sounded really interesting and unique but I ended up getting their matcha einspanner and I'd give it at 7/10. Their matcha quality was not bad but not the best. Overall I thought my visit wasn't too memorable especially because the service did not add to my experience. Cup size is a bit smaller than your usual "small" cups, matcha was a bit gushy/mushy type feeling drinking. Not a encouraging taste but it was average at best. A bit disappointed but willing to give it another try as it was presented very prettily. Perhaps next time I should give it even more of a good swirl. The hojicha einspanner on the other hand was very tasty. As a non coffee drinker, this off course was a non coffee drink but it brought that feeling of coffee consumption. Really cute. Honestly, the drink tho to me was kind of basic even though it looks really nice it's just very creamy. I couldn't taste the vanilla that I asked for in the latte. I also got the donut and that donut was delicious, but it was also my first time trying a creme brûlée donut so can't say if it was the greatest.
