Really love the concept of this place--A+ for the atmosphere, the design, and the overall vibe. It feels idyllic and thoughtfully put together, the kind of café you want to sit in for a while and enjoy. That said, both drinks we ordered fell a little short. The matcha and the Vietnamese latte both tasted watered down, so the flavors didn't come through as strongly as we hoped.

So like a lot of Angelenos, I've been seeing this place countless times, and I wanted to check it out and see what it had to offer! Walking in, I was immediately drawn to the decor and overall design of this place! From the vintage cars to the clothes and other goodies they had on display and for sale, I was already enjoying my experience. After reviewing the menu and comparing different options with the help of the employee, who was super nice and helpful, by the way, I knew I had to get the matcha tonic. I thought it was a pretty good drink, but with the help of extra sweetner, it was even better. I loved the experience, and we even saw the Ebony Beach Club truck here, which was a fun surprise!

Cool spot for a chill hangout spot. Great for casual hangouts and even better for pictures! Was drawn to this place for its interior design and cars and please to say it lived up to the expectation! Even more so since there is plenty of free parking which is rare for cafes in this area. The entrance to the cafe / parking lot is a bit hidden tho so keep an eye out when you get near! They also had a cute Photo Booth at the time I went. Drinks were just ok, nothing crazy or special. Service was good though! - free lot parking - Lots of seating for groups, duos, and solos - Free Wifi - Bathrooms available - Sells both drinks and prepackaged snacks

Matcha was so bad! It tasted like mazapan and no matcha flavor to it. The ambiance is very chaotic with lots of aesthetic photographers taking pictures. There is no AC so it's super hot in the summer time. Service is no bueno either. My friend said her latte was super good, but wouldn't return because of all the other mentioned cons above.

If you're a car enthusiast, you'd certainly love this place as they'd let your sight got pampered by the collection displayed. For me, I love the big open space with industrial theme, just offering slightly different ambiance compared to what's typically offered elsewhere lately. We actually came to pickup our burrito order from a pop-up store on the site, but decided to sit and hang while having our daily caffeine dose. The place was pretty busy with increasing crowd throughout the day, but the line moved pretty quickly. Initially wanted to try their Island Matcha served with Macadamia syrup, but it's fortunately OOS so I ended with just Iced Matcha Latte and their #1 Vietnamese Einspanner. The Matcha wasn't bad, being pretty umami, but not my top favorite either. I would certainly recommend the Vietnamese Einspanner. As a fan of Vietnamese coffee, Idyllic's version did live to my expectation. Should you not fancy your coffee to be more on sweet side, you might request for less sweet, but for me who's a sweet tooth, I enjoyed it a lot. The coffee flavor was strong, but the cream top well-balanced it.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! The vibes here are unmatched--it has a great, relaxed ambiance with amazing decor, including some awesome vintage cars that give it a really unique look. On top of the cool aesthetic, their Vietnamese coffee is really good perfectly strong, sweet, and authentic. It's the perfect spot to hang out, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a great drink. Definitely worth checking out!

IDYLLIC is kinda hidden. It's one of several shops in this, for lack of a better word, compound, called 8th and Santa Fe, that includes an actual auto shop and a florist. You kinda have to enter through the back which can be accessed via an alley off of Santa Fe. This coffee shop is INCREDIBLY HUGE. Huge enough to have multiple spaces designated for retail, coffee roasting area, several study and lounge areas and 3 cars! Which reminds me, they had on display three of the hubby's absolute fave cars: vintage Porsche, a 3 Series and a Land Cruiser. The girlies were trying to decide which matcha drink to get, staff astutely recommended the sticky mango matcha. It was a hit! The CORTADO was tart and delicious. Parking was difficult to find. This might be because there was some sort of special edition clothing or shoes happening and there was even a line going around the street corner.

This was such a cool find in Arts District - such a big space with 3 cars inside, a lot of seating/working areas, and even a photo booth (not free though). Very insta worthy! I was excited for the mango sticky rice matcha but unfortunately they had run out by 2 pm. Ended up ordering the Vietnamese Einspänner which was okaaaaay. I wouldn't go out my way to get their coffee based on that drink.

Smooth coffee and vibes served at Idyllic. Coffee was delicious and not acidic barista was supercool. Grab a latte and browse the boutiques in this cars and clothes establishment. It is dog friendly, which gives it an extra visit-ability factor. Makina brand apparel sold here.

It was kind of hard to find this place but once you're inside it's really nice. I loved the interiors and the cars! I ordered matcha with sweetener and Vietnamese einspanner. Einspanner was good. I really enjoyed it. But matcha was lacking in depth especially for its price point! It almost feels like they use sencha instead of matcha. But that's just my perspective. It'll be a really good place to hangout with your friends!

Ambiance: Found this location on YouTube Sunday Cleaning series, decided to make it a stop on our "coffee crawl". Location: industrial, parking can be tricky, but just be patient, its worth it. Coffee/Matcha: Amazing, best Vietnamese coffee & cold foam I've had in a while, with a sweet treat to top it. Matcha tonic was refreshing and authentic. Food: Neon pizza sold by the slice, get a couple, one is not enough. Customer Service: top tier, helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back, great chill vibe, loved the pop up photo booth, I didn't personally experience, but the fam got great photo's!

Holy cream top, dessert of my dreams, with a Korean coconut butter cookie on top, sprinkled with Maldonado salt, that I wish I did not know existed. I will dream about eating a whole box of these cookies for the rest of my life Generous amount of cream top, too, and the coffee underneath was nice and strong without being overwhelming for me. Once the cream mixed in a little, it was smooooooth and delightful. Some sort of drizzle on top of the cream top, which I didn't catch but which was soooo good. This will definitely become a craving for me. This space is fun, open and nicely cool on a hot day. The cars are neat, there is other fun stuff to look at. Not actually a ton of places to sit, unless you don't mind getting social w a stranger. Most tables were taken up by one person on a laptop. Nice music, but maybe a little too loud for studying...ymmv. Parking was street or paid lot only, but there were easy shady street spots under the fwy and a whole shaded pay lot ($5 flat, I think?) under the fwy when we came at 3pm on a Wednesday.

Service was fast & the barista was very polite. The space is a mix of industrial & artsy. They had 3 really cool cars as you walk in & up to the counter. Also has a fun Photo Booth & a magic mirror that made me look hilariously deformed. I ordered a cortado which is my go to & also one of their signature drinks named "Viatnamese Einspänner". Both drinks were delicious. Has a cool lounge area with plenty of seating.

The employees were friendly, welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. As for the coffee, it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. I tried the Cloud Latte and found it a bit too thick, lacking the smoothness and flavor I was hoping for. I also tried the Cinnamon Cloud, which was smoother but still tasted fairly bitter to me. Coffee preferences are subjective, of course, but the flavor profile just didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said, I enjoyed everything else about the experience and would be willing to come back and try a few different drinks from the menu. The service and ambiance were definitely highlights of the visit.

The pictures don't lie. It's got that clean, modern coffee shop aesthetic, but a few quirky touches keep it from feeling like every other minimalist café. There's a photo booth in the back (which I assume explains the name) and a display of sunglasses that I never quite figured out. Also, no bathroom code. Always appreciated. Neither of us usually orders einspanners, but my wife got the vanilla and I ordered the mocha, both iced with oat milk. They were excellent. Creamy and rich and the coffee underneath was tasty even before mixing in the cream. The pastries looked beautiful and artful, although I was hoping for something simple like an almond croissant. The vibe outside on the patio was great. Lots of people working on laptops, plenty of room to settle in, and it felt more like a co-working space than a typical coffee shop. It's also super dog-friendly, has ample parking in its own lot and we even found easy street parking out front. Everything about this place just worked. We'll gladly make the 25-minute drive again.

I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.
