Not sure why they had a name change but it's the chic-styled cafe that opens late, making it a popular spot for students. It's often packed whenever I passed by in the evenings. You'll have to pay for valet parking in their shared parking lot or try to find meter around the streets, which can be a nightmare. I'm usually there Saturday mornings before valet arrives while my husband gets a haircut from the hair salon upstairs. So mostly empty when I'm there. I'm not sure if this is usually the case, but after ordering at the counter, they always bring my coffee to my table. Service has always been nice but I can't say I love the drinks. They're ginormous (yay!) but often so, so sweet (I'm getting too old to like it). read more

SYNT Coffee in Koreatown is such a fun spot, especially if you're looking for somewhere open late. I stopped by and tried a mix of drinks and desserts, including their ceremonial matcha, espresso, shaved ice, cookies, and some of their Dubai chocolate items. Everything looked amazing and the matcha in particular stood out, super smooth and clearly high quality. The biggest plus is their hours. Being open until 2AM during the week and 4AM on weekends makes it a great late-night hangout spot, which is honestly hard to find in LA. The vibe is modern and a little trendy, and it's a great place to go with friends when you want something sweet after dinner. read more

This particular location has been about 10 things in 10 years, and here's the latest thing: SYNT (See You Next Time). Big and bright as could be with white walls and furnishings, there's plenty of room for you, your posse and your laptops. Show Me the Money KPop blaring. I'm always on the hunt for a delicious cream top einspanner latte, and here it is. With hours til 2am, you cannot go wrong. Friendly friendly staff and the sajangnim (사장님) is on the premises. You can give the boss a piece of your mind (or a compliment like I did). Elusive street parking or something like $5 "valet" in their lot. Valet but you park it, mister. Coffee menu is 20 pages long so there's something for everyone. Red velvet cream cheese cookie has got Yelp written all over it. Come get one! read more

I've been here a few times, and while the place itself is very clean and looks nice, the overall experience just isn't great. I tried the Mugwort Einspanner Latte, which was decent, not bad, but nothing memorable. The Pistachio Einspanner Latte was a bit too sweet and also didn't really stand out. So overall, drinks are below average. What bothered me the most, though, was the service. I had to order from the same person 3 times, and all times she came across as rude and completely uninterested. No greeting, no interaction she barely even spoke or look at the customer while taking the order. It just felt uncomfortable. So the most recent time I was there, while placing my order I even changed my mind and left. I really didn't want my day to be ruined by this experience. When I was leaving the server didn't even say bye, I mean, what else could be expected from this type of service. On top of that, the prices are higher than most other coffee spots in the area, and honestly, it doesn't feel justified. That might also explain why there's usually plenty of seating available. Overall, it's just not worth coming here. There are so many better places with stronger drinks and much friendlier service. read more

I had been here before when either it had different owners or it was a different name. Regardless the café has so much seating and has so many great coffee and Matcha drinks to choose from. the only thing I don't like is that parking is very limited and the parking lot associated with it is valet only. I ordered a cookie butter Matcha latte and it was so good. The mixture of the Matcha with the cookie butter went really good. It's a little on the sweet side more like a dessert Matcha than a traditional Matcha nevertheless really good. read more

Came here pretty late and I love that they stay open really late. It's such a good spot for late night hangouts or even studying. Even around 1AM, the place was still busy with lots of customers, but there are plenty of seats inside so it didn't feel too cramped. Their drink menu is huge, which I liked because there are so many unique options to try. We did have to wait about 25 minutes, but it was pretty packed so it made sense. It is on the pricier side as we paid $54 total, but the drinks and desserts felt high quality and unique. I LOVED their Dubai Chewy Cookie. We got the original and strawberry, and both were so good. They put a generous amount of kanafeh, which gave it an amazing texture. For drinks, we ordered the Tiramisu Einspanner Caffe Latte, Sweet Potato Latte, and Black Sesame Einspanner Latte. The black sesame latte was SO good! Super nutty and rich. The sweet potato latte was also one of my favorites; it really tasted like sweet potato in the best way. I also liked that the drinks weren't overly sweet, which I personally prefer. The Tiramisu latte was just okay in my opinion, but not bad. Parking is a bit limited and mostly valet, which can be a downside. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot. Great for late nights, studying, and trying unique drinks and desserts. I feel like this place has changed names so many times the past year, but I hope this one stays! It's super spacious and modern, and they have a few fun bites on display next to the entrance! For some reason, it just feels a little unorganized, and I didn't love how the menu was a little grungy and in crooked paper form. Also, the latte I ordered was a tad too sweet, and it's a bit shocking to see a $10 price tag on a latte. It still has that modern vibe and seems like a good place to chat or work :) read more

came on a monday around midnight and it was pretty packed. service was a bit slow but understandable for how busy it was. workers were really kind and answered all of our questions! the biscoff croffle and strawberry dubai chewy cookie were really good! the mango cake was just okay, the mangoes weren't as ripe as i'd like them to be. all of the drinks were yummy, we got two teas and a smoothie. i'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them! overall very solid place, open late, yummy drinks and desserts! read more

I recently checked out SYNT (See You Next Time) in Koreatown and honestly, this place lives up to the hype. I started with their iced strawberry matcha and the BISCOFF matcha, both made with ceremonial grade matcha, and you can really taste the difference. The matcha is smooth, not bitter at all, and the flavors are well balanced without being overly sweet. The Biscoff one especially stood out, super unique and rich. I also tried the Oreo milkshake, which was thick, creamy, and exactly what you'd want from a good milkshake. Definitely a solid choice if you're craving something more indulgent. For snacks, I had the viral Dubai chewy balls, both the regular and strawberry versions. These were fun and different, chewy on the inside with a nice sweetness to them. I can see why they've been blowing up. To top it off, I got a shave ice with mixed fruits, which was super refreshing and perfect to balance everything else out. Light, flavorful, and not overly sugary. Overall, SYNT is a great spot if you're into creative drinks and trendy desserts. Everything felt high quality and well thought out. I ordered the classic milk tea if you plan to order any drink make sure to order light ice it was 70% ice and 30% drink I hardly ever finish a small Starbucks and I finished the drink in under five minutes which is not good considering I timed it and it took 17 minutes and 47 seconds exactly for the drinks to come out . I ordered three small items and everything cost $22 and was demolished in under five minutes. everything was too high priced and considering the price the flavour had nothing special to it. There are many different options with better prices and flavours don't highly recommend. read more

The interior is probably my favorite part of this place! Very modern style and big windows. The matcha was amazing, but do make sure to mix well. I loved the first few sips but once I got to the bottom it was a bit too sweet because I did not mix the syrup in well :(. That was completely my fault though, the lavender matcha was really good! They have so many options for matcha lattes as well as coffee. They also offer milk teas and lemonades! I'm pretty sure they also serve breakfast, though I may be wrong on that. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place, and they have a varied display of desserts that looked sooo good. They have WiFi so long as you purchase something. What I will say is that it is quite expensive, and they do charge an extra $1.50 for alternative milks. That's the only complaint I really have! read more

Review: Terrible experience. We came in and were asked to wait for a table, but since we just wanted to try the food, we ordered takeaway instead. They told us to wait outside for our order--not even inside--despite there being plenty of space to stand. Meanwhile, tables were occupied by people sitting with laptops and just one coffee. We waited quite a long time just for boba. When we finally got our order, they didn't even give us straws or say goodbye. Very poor service. read more

I had a very experience here. First of all, there was no proper seating available for three people, which is already disappointing when you come expecting to sit and relax. But what made it worse was the attitude. After we paid and decided to take our order to go, we were told to go outside and wait for our drinks. Not in a polite or accommodating way -- it felt like we were being pushed out. Honestly, it came across as very rude and unwelcoming. As paying customers, being told to stand outside and wait like that is just unacceptable. The whole experience left a really bad impression. It didn't feel like hospitality at all -- more like we were an inconvenience. I would not recommend this place based on how customers are treated. read more

This place is a nice lil cafe! I've studied at many cafes but haven't heard of this one until today! Very nice layout which has many outlets so I can charge my laptop while doing work/ studying. The workers are very nice and have great customer service that made it comfortable here. I ended up ordering a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and it was good! The strawberry matcha taste good but it feels like it has dust after the sip idk if you guys get me but other than that it's a solid 8/10 also the size is pretty small for the price Hazelnut iced latte is super good not so sweet a strong flavor coffee but that doesn't over take the sweetness just right 8/10 could have added cold foam idk if they had it but if they did it would make it better the price is $9 for a small cup like this which is crazy Over all this place is a 7/10 6/10 for price. the price for basic drinks is eccentric . 8/10 for the ambience there's not much outlets if your tryna get some work done on a laptop. read more

Stopped into SYNT Coffee in Koreatown to get some work done and ended up staying way longer than planned, which is usually the sign of a solid coffee shop. SYNT stands for "see you next time," which feels optimistic but also a little threatening in the best way. Like yes, fine, you've earned repeat business. The space is bright, vibrant, and thoughtfully designed without feeling like a sterile Instagram showroom. Plenty of seating, actual tables you can work at, reliable wifi, and enough power outlets that you do not have to hover awkwardly near a wall waiting for someone to leave. I parked myself with my laptop for a couple of hours and no one made me feel rushed or guilty for existing. Ordered a pistachio latte and it was genuinely yum. Not overly sweet, nicely balanced, and clearly not an afterthought flavor syrup situation. They also have a great looking pastry and macaron selection that I had to exercise self control around, but I am absolutely coming back to test my willpower again. Overall, a really solid addition to the neighborhood. Good coffee, comfortable work vibes, and a place that understands people sometimes need caffeine and a chair for more than 20 minutes. Unfortunately I like to leave great reviews but I was mcfukin thrown off coming here the parking little guy charged us 4.50 for "valet" but we parked ourselves smh it was fine but not that swag and then we went in and the speakers had the most outrageous bass going on and they were playing kind of bad EDM remixes of pop songs like unholy by sam smith it was just a lot going on lol but the employees were really sweet and seemed to be doing a great job also rather expensive $7 peppermint tea but I will say the glass it was served in was nice. Anyways overall just don't go here if you actually need to get work done read more

Very relaxing coffee shop. I think this place has gone through many different owners because the name has changed multiple times. They have a parking lot but I'm unsure if you have to pay for it or not as we were going to HAIRDAY and didn't have to pay for it. The coffee here is superb, I got the iced caramel latte and it was one of the best coffees I've had!!! I highly recommend coming here. Also the environment is so chic and cute. Parking here may be difficult to find on the street, but they do have valet, too. On a Saturday afternoon, this spot is packed and quite hard to find a place to sit. Wi-Fi is available, though note that plugs and seating may be another issue. Not every spot comes with a plug, and it's going to be full, so you may need to wait 15-20 minutes. It is indeed a small spot, so if you're looking for a quiet spot to work, this might not be it. The interior decor, though, is quite clean aesthetically and is relaxing to work in. The Matcha Latte, though, let me say if you're in need of an afternoon pick-me-up, this will keep you energized, even without the sugar! A few sips in and a half cup later, I had so much energy I could probably run a marathon if I had the right shoes (and I don't even like running).

Before I could even walk away, one of the baristas snatched it from my hand and said, "You're not allowed to use that. The saucers go with the latte mugs!" I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. The matcha is so well balanced - you can actually taste the matcha, not too sweet, and creamy too. They also sprinkle sea salt on top which helps enhance the matcha flavor. My only complaint is that I wish the cup was bigger. - Breakfast Sliders: I wasn't expecting much from the sliders, but everyone always hypes up their slides, so I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The egg is so fluffy and the sauces that come with it are so delicious, especially their hot sauced. I added bacon and avocado too and it was great. - Pistachio Toast: I feel like their pistachio toast is not talked about enough. It was so yummy and satisfying that I wish I could get another one. The toast is hearty and the pistachio spread with sea salt, olive oil, and olive oil is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about their toast. Although it is quite pricey, I think the taste and quality justify the price. The interior is small and there's about 6 tables outside which is pretty crowded so you might have to take it elsewhere to enjoy.
