My friends and I absolutely adore SYNT (See You Next Time) Coffee -- we visited at least three times as of late. Our most recent visit (documented in this review) not only highlights what you should always get, but their new menu items that transcend most culinary boundaries. SYNT Coffee is tucked in a small shopping plaza with valet only (), so the only main issue is finding a place to park your car. However, when you enter, it's a minimalist but clean, polished, and fairly casual but lively atmosphere with wooden tables for groups of 3-4 or smaller. I love the servers too -- They're super efficient and attentive !! SYNT stands for "see you next time" and after my first visit, I can see why! SYNT is located in a small strip mall with a small parking lot. Valet is available but I was lucky to pull right in and find a spot. Upon entering, there is a dessert bar to the right where you can see different kinds of desserts and pastries. To your left, is the counter where you can pick up your to-go order or your take out order. I was pleasantly surprised when I told the associate that I will be eating in and she hands me a menu and asked for me to find a seat. The space is cute! the dining area is split into two parts: one part directly in front of the counter is well-lit from the windows and have tables plus a few couches with tables for relaxed experiences. The other part is more a cozy dining area with soft light. The menu covers well-crafted beverages from coffee to matcha. This space mainly covers desserts and pastries so this is a perfect spot to head over after dinner or lunch. Lotus Biscoff Einspanner Cafe latte: Perfect sweet drink for the coffee lover! Though it is a dessert drink, the coffee is predominate. Peach Matcha Latte: made with the ceremonial matcha, the peach is just fresh and delightful! I was curious to see how the matcha would go with peach and they absolutely do go together! Dubai Chewy Cookie: i've tried a few versions of this around town and this has to be the best one! Don't let the size fool you! It is so rich, I ate half and had to take to rest home for later. Very decadent and flavorful. The mochi layer was chewy like candy. I'd skip the matcha if you're picky and get something safe like a fruit flavored. Muckwort cookie was good too, but on the drier side. Coffee was pretty pricey but did its job. Really enjoyed my visit to Synt Cafe in Koreatown! I've been looking for more late-night cafes in LA, and this one was a great find. I was literally flipping through tons of pages of their menu and was honestly surprised by how many different options they have. With the amount of items they offer, I was even more surprised by how well they're able to maintain the quality. The SYNT Coffee was definitely a highlight for me and kept me well caffeinated throughout the night. I also tried some of their other coffee options and enjoyed being able to choose from such a big variety. The matcha was good overall, with a nice earthy flavor, and they have a ton of different options if you're a matcha person. I also enjoyed the desserts, especially the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Croffle, which was easily my favorite. The crispy croffle with the chocolate and strawberry was such a good combination. I can't deny it -- my favorite drink here is the honeycomb matcha with oat milk. From the first sip I fell in love. I went back to SYNT Coffee this afternoon, just one day after my visit yesterday. Yesterday, I came here with my best friend for a Yelp Elite Experience and received a $30 credit. I used the entire credit on a Pistachio Croffle ($18) and a Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cake ($12). For the rest, I paid for a Strawberry Juice ($9, ordered with less ice) and a Blueberry Matcha Latte ($9) for my friend, for a total of $18, plus $1.73 in tax. Then came the tip... Yesterday, I accidentally selected 25%, and the tip alone came out to $12.43! My best friend said she wanted to go to the counter and ask about it because paying a $12 tip on an $18 order seemed way too much. But I stopped her and said, "Once I've already paid it, let's just leave it at that." The Pistachio Croffle I had yesterday was SO delicious that I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I decided to come back again today. Yesterday I came with my best friend, and today I came with My Mom and one of my brothers. My Mom ordered the Pistachio Croffle, and yesterday I had the Strawberry Juice, but today I ordered the Kiwi Juice. My brother had his car parked by valet in the very crowded mall parking lot and came into the coffee shop a little later. However, the employee taking our order told us that if we were dining in, each person had to order one item. My brother had an upset stomach and felt bloated after lunch, so he really didn't want to eat anything sweet. But since she kept saying that he had to order something, he eventually said he would just go outside and wait. Honestly, that made things a little uncomfortable for us today. So instead of dining in, we decided to get everything to go. Even so, they were nice and gave me an extra cup for the Kiwi Juice when I asked, so I could share it with My Mom. But when I opened the lid of the Kiwi Juice to pour some into the extra cup, the juice had been filled all the way to the top. As soon as I opened it, the Kiwi Juice spilled everywhere and completely covered my hand! I went to the restroom to wash my hands, but the person who had gone into the restroom before me stayed in there for such a long time that I ended up asking an employee for some paper towels and wiped my hands with those instead. The coffee shop was much more crowded today than it was yesterday. However, everything I've ordered here so far--both yesterday and today--has been absolutely delicious. When I was younger, and especially when I was much younger, I had a sweet tooth and absolutely loved eating all kinds of sweets. These days, I don't eat them very often because I'm trying to be more mindful of my health, although I still enjoy them once in a while. Today, though, thanks to Yelp, I feel like I finally got to properly enjoy a guilt-free guilty pleasure again after such a long time. One little note: I used to come to this location pretty often back when Mugongri Samgyeopsal (Korean BBQ Place) was in this shopping center and this place was called TPO Coffee. Even before that, a very long time ago, it was called Mr. Coffee, and I used to come here then, too. This was my first time coming back since it became SYNT Coffee Shop, and I really loved the new atmosphere. The interior is modern, clean, and stylish, and all of the employees were incredibly friendly. One detail I especially appreciated is that there are outlets for charging your phone right behind the tables. They're built into the wall instead of being down on the floor, which is such a smart and convenient touch! Honestly, everything about this coffee shop is great. And another HUGE plus: I heard that they're open until 4 AM on weekends, which is pretty amazing! Whenever I organize group gatherings with my Korean Singles group, I'm always looking for a coffee shop that stays open late after dinner. I think this place would be PERFECT for a group of 10-15 people. The tables are currently set up mostly for two or four people, but I think they could easily be pushed together for a larger group. For parking, valet is $5, but this place is always really packed. So, if you happen to find a street parking spot nearby, I'd definitely recommend parking on the street. Once again, Yelp helped me discover another great coffee shop, and I'm really glad I found this place. I have a feeling I'll be coming back here quite often! But when I think about it, I spent $32.16 at the coffee shop yesterday and another $30 today, so I ended up spending over $60 there in just two days. She was very helpful, accommodating and caring. They have a vast menu options from pastries, cold and hot drinks. I ordered a Almond Iced cold Matcha and asked her not to make it too sweet. I've been wanting to try this café for a while, and finally made it in around 4pm on a Friday. It's usually pretty crowded, and even though the café was only about 50% full when I went, there were a few people waiting in the takeout line and only two staff members working. They seemed pretty stressed and overwhelmed, but were still nice. I got the Einspänner coffee, dubai strawberry chocolate cookie, and fruity pebbles macaron. Everything was on the sweeter side, and honestly, nothing was particularly memorable for me. The overall experience wasn't the best since the café felt pretty hectic, but I'd still like to come back and try more of their menu before making a final judgment. Grabbed some afternoon caffeine here and definitely had quite a mixed experience. There was nobody waiting, but somehow our order of two drinks still took 20 minutes, and the workers had no sense of urgency whatsoever. On top of that, prices were just outrageous. I know we were in Los Angeles, but $10 for a drink and another $3 for oat milk just because I'm lactose intolerant just seems crazy. Even without the alternative milk, one single drink should not be $10. I'm sticking with an average rating because the drinks itself would have received five stars. Aware that it will take a bit to come out, especially on weekends cause it's probably the most labor intensive item on their menu, buuut it's sooo good! The drinks were super creative I really love my tiramisu latte. The corn latte is a little bit too sweet but still very delicious if you love a sweet treat. I really enjoyed both of the croffle ( I got the du bai chocolate one ) the and matcha tiramisu (was super creamy and thick although the color is a little bit dark). I received $30 credit as part of Yelp Elite for this experience. The shop is very bright with natural lighting. The line was short but there wasn't much space for waiting on to go orders so it was kind of chaotic with multiple people waiting around whether for open seating, to order or to pick up to-go orders. I ordered the tiramisu, a Oreo crumble macaron, and I asked for a drink recommendation for coffee and was recommended the Hazelnut Banana Einspanner Latte with Soy milk which comes iced. Seating is spacious but they said that the empty tables were reserved. Idk how reservations are made, no wait list on Yelp available. I only saw one table that had the reserved sign but it's ok, we made the short walk to California Market and ate within that plaza. The tiramisu was amazing and I noticed it was the last one on the display case so I went just in time. There was a good balance of coffee, cake, and mascarpone. For $12 it's not too bad, about 3cubic inch cake. The macaron was alright. This one was a larger size but I'd still say it was not worth $6. I've always found them too sweet. The macaron biscuit was well made but just not my taste. I did share this with a 9 year old and they really liked it of course. Lastly, the hazelnut banana latte was very good. Coffee flavor was strong but good balance in flavor, not too bitter and not too sweet either. I also liked the banana chips on top. Overall I'd get the coffee and the tiramisu again. my boyfriend & I came here. We loved the ambience, so aesthetic and clean; a plus that theirs a lot of seating inside. We dined in, you can sit anywhere, and they come to serve you. But if you are doing takeout, you just order at the register. There was just one employee, but she was very kind & attentive We ordered a Tiramisu latte & a sea salt caramel latte. Not only does it look pretty, but definitely tasty. Both were strong, but very smooth espresso. For the tiramisu dessert, very creamy, tasty, and thick. There is a lot of drinks to choose from the menu just as for desserts as well. As for parking, it's a decent size, but it's always really packed. I got the honeycomb matcha einspanner, which has a strong and earthy matcha flavor, but it too sweet for my taste. The honey flavor itself is not present within the drink as it's just the honeycomb decorating the top of the drink. The green grape ade is fruity and crisp, but was also a little too sweet.
