Matsu Matcha is definitely up there as one of my favorite matcha spots in LA. They offer a variety of matcha drinks, desserts etc. Their banana pudding einspanner is so creamy and the banana pudding is so yummy on top. Their mango gelato is also notably one of the best i've had by far. The interior of this location has a good amount of seating but it does seem to be packed often. You place your order on a kiosk and get called by name when it's ready. Parking isn't the best unless you're okay with paying for valet in an overly crammed parking lot. Other than that you're better off finding street parking and walking.

Okay the hype is real. The matcha is DELICIOUS. Was there a wait? Yes, but wasn't too bad. You order from a kiosk and wait until they call your number/name. There are a few seats inside but pretty tight from each other. Every order, you get a complimentary small spoon of soft serve to try so don't forget. Their matcha does not taste too earthy but yet just right. You can choose your sweetness adjust for certain drinks you order but I definitely recommend the coconut matcha as it tastes so refreshing, especially on days when it's hot. Mango matcha latte, soo good. Fresh mango puree and the combo with matcha on point. Parking situation: you can either try to park inside the lot or skip the hassle and park on the street and walk. Coming back? Yes!

super good! the line is long, but its pretty quick! warning: parking is all valet, so unless you wanna pay be prepared to park elsewhere and walk. you order at a kiosk and wait for your drink, so it goes pretty quick! it's really expensive, can't even lie. the gelato is so good, but the serving is pretty small. the drinks are really good, it tastes like genuine matcha. i will say the default sweetness is not very sweet, so just be prepared for that. theres not many places to sit inside, its basically only standing room. but still would totally recommend if your a fan of like matcha-matcha.

I had some friends and family in town who were craving matcha, and luckily Yelp led us here, definitely no complaints from me! The matcha latte was DELICIOUS and honestly pretty reasonable at $7. My friend got the one matcha for $8 and loved hers too. We also got to sample some of the gelato, and it was super yummy. We came on a Friday night, so it was pretty packed, but the ambience was clean and inviting, and the staff were really nice. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more drinks!

I was already so full from dinner, but I noticed we were already so close to here... I wanted to take the chance to visit since we're already there LOL Came after dinner and it was pretty busy. Most people were getting gelatos, very few were getting matcha drinks. Good thing they offer samples for their gelatos! It was quite creamy and rich. I went ahead and tried the strongest matcha, and it tastes like you're licking straight matcha powder, but ice cream version. Pretty good, but I would imagine it would taste bitter and astringent the more you have it. I ultimately went with the triple matcha. It was good! I do think it was as good as trying Maruwu Seicha, but I think I still prefer Rok more since it was more creamy. The drink here is a bit more dessert like to me? Especially with the matcha cream top and matcha jelly it had. The jelly was pretty good! Overall, definitely a solid place for authentic matcha drinks. They will charge valet parking here, but there are street parking around. Shop is very small with limited seating.

It's a small cozy shop in a busy plaza. Valet is expected. You order via kiosk. There's 2. I got their guava matcha drink and sampled their gelato ice cream. I've definitely had better matcha drinks elsewhere. I personally thought the flavor of guava and matcha did not blend in that well. I also tried their ultra rich matcha gelato. It is bitter and strong in matcha flavor so if you like unsweetened matcha flavor, you'll enjoy it. Overall they're ok but not the flavor you'll come back second time for.

Line was out the door on a Sunday mid-afternoon, but it didn't take too long till we were able to order in one of the kiosks. Matcha Ice Blended was one of our favorites. Definitely great on a hot day. Gelatos - Got the Hokkaido milk for our little one and myself. It was delicious! Also, it was great to see they have different levels of "matcha" gelatos. Parking: valet or street

Some of the best matcha gelato I have ever had. On par if not better than the ice cream/gelato I had in Tokyo. I got the hojicha and uber rich matcha. The uber rich matcha was my favorite- so flavorful and bold. Highly recommend.

The drinks were not super great quality matcha in my opinion. Felt overly sweet even though I didn't even get sweetener for my almond milk matcha latte. The latte also tasted powdery compared to other matcha places I've had. The parfait was pretty good however by the time it came out, the ice cream already melted. Also it felt like the layers weren't as nicely assembled as other parfaits I've had such as the Bay Area location or Nana's green tea locations. The inside is super crowded but there's a few tables if you want to sit down with friends or family. Line can get pretty long during the weekends. Parking is hard to find since it's Ktown but there should be street parking on nearby streets.

First time trying out this place and ordered their Matcha Latte with Mango. Love it. Parking is difficult to find. The lot charges $3.00 to park. Street parking is a struggle.

Ordered the level 5 matcha ice cream. It was rich and good. No complaints. The drinks looked delicious, so I'll have to return for that. Parking in lot. Store was bustling with people when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon.

Got the 2 scoop gelato with matcha and jasmine (they ran out of hojicha, which I've heard is really good). I really liked both flavors but my friends didn't like the jasmine but if you're into floral, it is really good! The matcha and jasmine ice cream flavors were rich and flavorful. I also got the matcha float with matcha and jasmine ice cream. The ice cream was good, but the matcha itself tasted pretty watered down, and I couldn't really taste it, which was kind of disappointing given the hype. The inside is cute with plenty of seating, but since it's a popular spot, it does get pretty full. Parking is valet in the lot or street parking. Service was friendly and helpful. I do like how this cafe closes later though which makes it a nice spot after a late night dinner! Overall, it's definitely a hit or miss, but still worth trying!

    Level four matcha and hojicha

Matsu Matcha has been quite viral on social media lately, given that the dessert establishment has multiple levels of matcha intensity similar to Nanaya Matcha in Kyoto and Tokyo. My group of friends loves matcha, so we all decided to come here one evening for dessert. Unfortunately, the establishment only allows for one free sample per person, so I had to make it count. I tried to Extra Rich Matcha (level 4) and my wife tried the Ultra Rich Matcha (level 5), and we each tried a little bit. None of the levels were too bitter for us, but I noticed that the higher levels cost extra. Thus I ended up getting a combination Uji Matcha (level 3) and a hojicha. There was a good 10 minute wait, but the wait was worth it. The place is quite small but we eventually were able to sit down ourselves. The Uji Matcha still had a strong matcha flavor, which I loved. The hojicha was also amazing. There are many good matcha places in LA, so not sure if I would come back. However, this establishment definitely ranks among the best.

This small shop is located on the low level of the mall and although it doesn't have much to it, it's got just enough room to walk in, order some delicious gelato, pay, and walk out and that's really all someone needs to do here. We were here around 6PM and I was happy to see such a large selection of gelato to choose from. I was pretty much sold from the get go when I saw the selection they had, my eyes saw the blue cookie flavour and I immediately ordered a two scoop in a waffle cone and fell in love. I've eaten so much ice cream in my life that it all blends together sometimes, but one thing I can say is that this Gelato is 100% some of the best I've ever had and I will be returning many, many, many more times thanks to its close proximity to home and great location inside of the Bloc. Overall, BellaLina Gelato is a fantastic gelato joint and on that I look forward to eating at many times in the future.
