Stagger has been on my matcha list for a while now, but be warned, parking is terrible unless you valet. As for the space itself, it's nice and modern but not a place I personally would hangout. As for the drinks let's get into it: - Cream Top Coffee (6/10) I think if it was a little sweeter I'd like it. - Strawberry Matcha (7/10) It's not bad, I've just had better. - Double Matcha (11/10) Sole reason I am giving this place a 5 star. I continue to insist that I am a matcha social drinker, only seeking it out when I'm with my matcha connoisseur friends. However, I am almost embarrassed to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Stagger. There was no line, but it makes sense with the fact that we came at 4 pm. After ordering, we were quickly served. Everything from napkins to drink caddies to straws to drink sleeves were self serve, which I appreciated. Not to mention the free stickers! The drinks were on the sweeter side, which is what I prefer, but not too sweet that it drowns out the matcha flavor. The double matcha was topped with a thick layer of sweet cream which balanced nicely with the slight matcha bitterness. The jasmine matcha, which was the seasonal drink, was very jasmine forward and garnished with flowers (I ended up spitting them out; had the texture of disintegrating paper straws). Otherwise, it was one of the better matchas I've had, especially because it didn't make me feel jittery. The vibe was quiet, clean, and minimalistic. The chairs looked straight out of a modern art museum. It's like musical chairs, but the loser still gets a chair, just one without back support. The staff were super friendly and helpful, even though it was my first time there. They recommended the Double Matcha Latte ($7.75) and Vanilla Latte ($6.25), and both were excellent. There's a Stagger wavy mirror on the left upon entering, which I saw many people using for selfies. It's probably a trendy thing to do, but I'm okay with that. Propose to me with a stagger double matcha. I love how creamy and earthy and smooth it is. AND it is consistent everytime. Stagger is my favorite LA matcha and I will die on this hill. Cute coffee shop with delicious drinks. Came in and got the double hojicha latte. It was phenomenal. It is very sweet but somehow still keeps the integrity of the hojicha's nuttiness. The cafe is tucked in the corner, so parking is definitely challenging and the way that there's valet for that little area is insane to me lmao. High quality matcha and great customer service for a place that has non-stop lines. I almost went with their best seller, the double matcha, but then I saw that they had a seasonal jasmine matcha latte that made me think of Molly Tea right away, and from the picture with the dried jasmine flowers, it seems like it would be a very fragrant and flavorful drink. It didn't disappoint at all--the jasmine and matcha blend with oat milk and half sugar came out exactly as I hoped. The mouthfeel and texture were great and the sweetness was surprisingly what I'd consider almost 100% at other cafes. If I were to rank the popular matcha shops based on their matcha drinks, this place beats Memorylook but isn't as good as Rok or Airoma (this is just personal preference though). The perfect amount of cinnamon apple filling with a great portion of cream cheese was just what I needed in the morning. The space is fairly large for a coffee shop in Ktown so there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food. However the parking is questionable due to it being located in a plaza so they share space with other stores. (The staff aren't willing to help if someone blocks you in) The staff was welcoming and helpful as they do have a wide range selection of treats and drinks, so they don't mind taking extra time to answer questions.
