    hojicha latte, 2x double matcha
    Sharon L.

I've been coming to Stagger for years, and they've stayed remarkably consistent. - Their double matcha is what they're known for; it comes in a smaller cup than any of their other drinks, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in strength. The matcha quality is great; it holds its own in matcha lattes and einspanners, and has a robust earthiness without being astringently grassy. They clearly use a lot of matcha in this drink, and even though it's batch-made, they go through it so quickly that it might as well be hand-whisked. I prefer to get it with light sweetness, but even the full sweet version is delicious and not overpoweringly sweet. - Their hojicha is just as competitive as their matcha; it has a misugaru nuttiness that I am obsessed with, and their latte has a creaminess that seems impossible to achieve without cream or whole milk. In terms of ambiance, it can get quite loud, but it's a popular spot. There's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of room to stand around and wait for your drink, bathrooms, and free iced water. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the line moves quite fast. The only thing that leaves much to be desired is the parking situation; the lot is tiny and impossible to park in anyway, but in the afternoon and evening is valet only. That's not really Stagger's fault, and I think walking a couple blocks is worth it for this Ktown matcha staple.

The hype was real! I got the double matcha and it was so creamy and rich. Highly recommend getting the drink. There was a lot of ice, but overall it was worth it for the price and taste ($7.50). We went on a weekday and the line wasn't long. We were also lucky to find street parking.

The first double matcha I've ever had and still my favorite. The matcha cream is to die for and I'm sure it's like 1,000 calories but it's oh so worth it. No wait on a Wednesday at 2pm but I remember weekends it being pretty bad, not sure if it's better now that the hype has gone down Crappy ktown parking per usual Staff is super friendly xoxo I love the interior of this shop as well!

Very pleasantly surprised by the Coconut Matcha. I was originally not going to get this drink as I wasn't sure how matcha would taste with coconut water but I'm so glad I did. It turns out it tastes amazing. It is definitely on the sweeter side, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. I tried my date's Strawberry Matcha, which was also good but it's creamier due to the milk and mine just felt more refreshing to drink. When they first opened in Oct 2024, I also had a Chai Latte from here. Not particularly memorable and would recommend just sticking to their matcha drinks. There is valet but the lot is so cramped that I'd rather try my luck at street parking. Inside is very aesthetically-pleasing with multiple tables and a fair amount of seating. Everything is almost always taken all the time though. I will definitely be back despite the awful parking situation.

Stagger has a clean aesthetic. Very similar to many other coffee/matcha shops lately. White, minimalistic with wood accenta. On a Saturday morning, they were already packed. Matcha isn't bad. they are on the sweeter side. The obvious downside to this place is the parking situation.

Stagger Coffee is one of many Korean-style cafes in Koreatown that specializes in matcha drinks. The shop is extremely popular and all tables were taken at 10 AM on Saturday. [Parking]: Parking is difficult despite having a small designated strip mall parking lot, but I got really lucky and found a spot available in the lot at 10 AM. [Atmosphere & amenity]: Modern and minimalist interior vibe. The shop has umbrellas available to borrow for those waiting outside in the sun. The cafe also has a restroom. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted drinks are Double Matcha, Hojicha Latte, and Double Hojicha. They also sell baked goods like croissants, muffins, and cookies. *** Double matcha (ceremonial matcha + house made vanilla + milk + house-made matcha cream + matcha powder - $7.75) & Double hojicha (hojicha aka roasted matcha + agave + milk + house-made hojicha cream + hojicha powder - $7.25): Both drinks had very concentrated cream toppings but tasted amazing with the right amount of sweetness. Most of the time I prefer matcha over hojicha, but this time I preferred hojicha; nonetheless, both drinks were absolutely fabulous. Hojicha cookie (hojicha, black sesame, milk chocolate, brown butter, sugar - $5.50): The cookie had a fluffy texture with decent flavor, but the hojicha flavor was not very strong. It also contained chocolate chips. Overall an A-tier cookie. *** Personally this is one of the best matcha and hojicha shops in Los Angeles. The drinks didn't taste diluted and the flavors were on point. I can easily see myself revisiting this shop whenever I am craving for a top-notch hojicha drink.

double matcha latte - bold and sweet

This coffee shop is located in the heart of Koreatown. Parking can be challenging since there are very few spaces available, so valet parking is often the best option, even during the day. Despite that, the café is always busy, which says a lot about its popularity. The interior is modern and minimalist with a clean, stylish atmosphere. Their matcha lattes are what they're best known for. I ordered the Double Matcha Latte, and it was absolutely delicious. The matcha flavor was rich, thick, and incredibly bold. My only complaint is that the portion was much smaller than I expected. The service was okay. It wasn't particularly warm or memorable, but it was fine. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit if you're a matcha lover.

Loved the rustic and minimal interior - so instagrammable! Stagger is one of the most popular matcha cafes in dtla, and it lived up to the hype. Bold, umami, and creamy. Wished I ordered less sweet. Fast service!

Another awesome coffee shop in Koreatown. And, you guessed it, because we're in K-Town, the parking situation is not ideal - doable, but not ideal. We managed to find a meter parking spot on the street where the strip mall was located though. There was no line to get in, no line to order and the wait for our drinks was minimal. We came around lunch on a weekday. The space is great. High ceiling so it feels bigger than it is -- and it actually is a pretty big coffee shop. All the tables and benches were occupied. Lots of people working or studying or hanging out. The CORTADO was strong, creamy and not tart. Love it. The ICED LATTE is delicious. The MATCHA COOKIE with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts was delicious and warmed prior to serving. They roast and sell their own beans. Staff are all nice. Space is beautiful.

One of the best espresso tonics (stagger tonic) around. Lots of people being productive in the lounge & really good service. Their cortado is also very good.

We were seeking a caffeine boost in K-Town after indulging in too much KBBQ. We chose this spot because it was conveniently located near our restaurant. I'd heard of the name before and knew it was a trendy place. Walking in, I felt a bit out of place as a typical suburban dad amongst the fashionable crowd. The staff were super friendly and helpful, even though it was my first time there. They recommended the Double Matcha Latte ($7.75) and Vanilla Latte ($6.25), and both were excellent. There's a Stagger wavy mirror on the left upon entering, which I saw many people using for selfies. It's probably a trendy thing to do, but I'm okay with that. We'd definitely come back for coffee, and I recommend checking this place out in K-Town.

Sometimes I wonder how K-Town can have so many top tier coffee shops. This is one of many (ROK, Memory Look, Yeems) to name a few. All have great matcha which I feel taste identical. In terms of quality. Enough of the matcha, I come to places like this for the coffee. I got their cream top latte which is good. I would say the mocha orange offers more distinct taste if you're looking for something different. This tastes similar to Handles coffee orange mocha. Stagger has a great seating both inside and outside. Parking is a little tough to find. Weekends this place gets pretty full.

Came back a second time, and still great! I got half sweetness and it perfectly balanced the sweet cream top. The hojicha is by far my favorite, I haven't found a place that does it this well. We also got the almond yuzu croissant which is nice almond flavor with a bit of a yuzu marmalade. Overall great experience yet again. Staff are nice and so quick with preparing the drinks. Will be back soon!

When we came, they weren't busy at all. The birthday boy just got a black coffee, our other friend got some latte and I got my wife a passion fruit mango tea. The customer service here was great and they made our drink quick. We sat inside and just talk for a bit. There only one bathroom here so be aware of that. Overall we had a great experience here.

Came by to try something a little different and ended up going with their pistachio frappe. I was…read morereally looking forward to that nutty, slightly earthy pistachio flavor. I even asked if they could adjust it (they added pistachio powder), but it still leaned more like a mocha to me. It also wasn't that light green color I usually associate with pistachio drinks, so it caught me a little off guard. Overall, it ended up being on the sweeter side. That said, the staff were genuinely kind and the space feels really inviting--somewhere you can actually sit and stay for a bit. There's plenty of seating, which I appreciate. Only downside is parking can be a little tough. Only meter parking but it's great for locals I'd still come back and look forward to trying other menu items like their horchata frappe and some of the bakery goods.
