I enjoyed a Hochija Vienna latte with oat milk and vegan cream! So tasty and made quickly! Great service, clean, and areas for sitting inside and out. Street parking in the area.
The coffee and Matcha here are absolutely delicious! I do wish they had larger sized drinks available, but other than that everything else is absolute perfection. The care and attention to detail that they put into each drink as a parent. You can taste the quality and attention to detail. The lines move quickly and are well worth the weight. Highly recommend recommended if you are looking for a great drink in the area!

My partner lives down the street so we come here very often! Drinks: 11/10! My partner and I got the sweet corn matcha latte and the mango matcha lemonade (which were seasonal items) and they were so yummy! We both agreed (along with my best friends) that the sweet corn matcha latte was PERFECT! We even convinced one of my friends to re-order it as it was absolutely delicious. They have a couple of pastries too and we always come back to the ham and cheese + everything/cream cheese croissant. Service: 10/10! Workers here are always so friendly and knowledgeable when we visit and we appreciate it always! Hence why we always come back. Ambiance: 10/10. Small coffee shop, but it's so cute inside! I can see why it is always so packed inside and people come/stay here to study or work. Love this place and always love their seasonal menus!
Came to Picnic in search of a good matcha latte and with some high hopes. Love the location and seating option right outside the shop. The barista taking my order was super nice and cool. I appreciated that he engaged and humored me in conversation. Ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and my fav part was the lack of extra charge for non-dairy milk substitute. Cheers to the outdated idea of charging for milk sub! Wish the matcha tasted better than it did. It was a bit watered down and not matcha forward. With all the alternative matcha spots in the area, I likely won't be back but can appreciate what they're doing.
Wanted to try Picnic because I've seen some videos online raving about it. First, there's plenty of free parking around the area which is always a plus. The inside is very small, you order in the back of the store and pick up your drink at the front. I got a strawberry matcha and it was all strawberry no matcha. I think the batch of matcha they used this day was a bit older due to the color being darker and not as vibrant. The pistachio matcha was also overpowered by the pistachio flavor. Wouldn't come back but it's a very cute place.

It is a cute place because there are picnic chairs on the sidewalk to sit down on and sip on your drink. There are tables inside as well. The servers were very helpful explaining the menu to me. I would recommend their Vienna latte. It has a foam top and the perfect sweetness. I wanted to try their matcha but didn't want two drinks at once. We'll have to come back!

There's rare free parking at this adorable café in Silverlake. The aesthetic of the café is super cute and they use a lot of vibrant colors. There is outdoor seating and a couple tables indoors too. The storefront itself is pretty small though. I ordered the Yuzu Matcha tonic with less sweetness and it was really good! It's a super refreshing drink, with the green tea and citrus elements coming out on top of the sparkling sweetness. Honestly, one of the best matcha drinks I've had overall! The yuzu bits are incorporated in the drink, adding a light sweet and bitter taste. Service was super friendly and accommodating. Reasonable prices and this café stands out because of its free parking for sure. There are lots of cute shops lining the street that Picnic Coffee is located on, so check those out too! Stopped by for a coffee break, and while the vibe is charming, the space is tiny, there's barely any room to sit inside, so be prepared to take it outside (they do have a few chairs out front, which helps). My husband tried the double matcha and actually loved it, and he's not even a big matcha fan, so that says a lot! I went with the pistachio matcha latte, but unfortunately, even after stirring it well, I couldn't taste any pistachio at all. We also grabbed the chocolate banana bread, but same issue, no banana flavor came through, which was disappointing. read more

My partner lives down the street so we come here very often! Drinks: 11/10! My partner and I got the sweet corn matcha latte and the mango matcha lemonade (which were seasonal items) and they were so yummy! My husband and I came here for coffee on Juneteenth. We don't live in the area but we were planning to hike in Griffith and I'd heard great things about this place from a friend, so I'd wanted to try this place for awhile. My husband got a cappuccino and I got the spiced matcha latte, which is one of their specials. They had a lot of delicious-sounding drinks, including a cherry matcha, which is a seasonal summer drink. Staff were really welcoming and friendly and the drinks were served quickly. Ambiance here is trendy but it doesn't seem like a place you can hang around for a long time as there isn't a lot of seating. read more
Visiting a friend in the area, we were in the mood for matcha and decided to walk over to Picnic Coffee. You'll easily spot this place with all the chairs lined up along the sidewalk. I ordered the Vienna Matcha with oat milk. Service was fast and friendly. I absolutely loved this drink that's topped with foam that taste like marshmallow. The drink was so delicious and reminded me of ice cream. There are maybe 2-3 tables inside, but you'll always see all the chairs outside filled with people. Definitely worth a try! read more

A cute, aesthetic stop with genuinely great selection of drinks. Perfect for a quick coffee date or solo morning reset. Seating is limited and it's more of a grab-your-drink-and-enjoy-the-moment kind of place. Parking is street only, so be ready to circle a bit. Staff are nice & welcoming. Ordered a pistachio matcha and it was very delicious!! I love that the flavor was not overpowering and was actually subtle and yummy!! The baristas were very nice and drinks came out very quickly! The drinks here are excellent, you can really taste the quality of the drink 5/5 I also tried the donuts, which were tasty overall, but the guava flavor I ordered didn't really come through as much as I expected. (4/5 for the donut) The cafe itself is quite small and always busy, so it's not the best spot if you're looking to sit and chat for a while. It felt a little cramped during my visit. (3/5) On the positive side, the staff were super friendly and helpful with menu recommendations, which made the experience much better. Overall, great drinks but more of a grab-and-go or quick-stop spot. I'll go back for the drink! read more
A whimsical, colorful, charming, coffee shop in Silverlake, Picnic Coffee always seems to have a bustling crowd. I appreciated the eclectic decor and the unique drinks. Though it's a tiny spot, there's still ample seating inside and out, and it's a good spot chat with friends before or after romping around on sunset. I went with the seasonal iced sweet corn cream matcha with oat milk. I wasn't impressed with the matcha powder itself (I like my matcha a lot bolder), but I thought the sweet corn element was innovative and tasty. I can see myself returning when I'm craving a funky, speciality, drink. read more
Gloriously mid largely flavorless matcha. +1 for pistachio milk, although we initially thought the pistachio matcha latte had pistachio sauce, and the barista was kind of rude about correcting us. Parking is rough in this area and there is pretty limited seating, not as ideal for working. read more

The inside has eclectic decor and outside the seating feels like you're hanging at the park. It is small and can be pretty busy so if you plan to stay may want to go at the slow times. So glad I stopped by! The Ube latte was AMAZING -- especially with the foam on top (not sure what it was but it made it so creamy and delicious). My friend got the strawberry matcha with the foam too and loved it. Super cute, aesthetic vibe inside. They accidentally made my drink wrong at first, but the girl in the blue top with the slicked-back bun fixed it right away with no hesitation. Shout out to her for the great service! Adorable grab & go coffee shop! Such a fun menu with unique flavors and signature drinks. I ended up getting the Vienna latte with the vegan cream top and it was delicious I ran into a friend who lives in the area and swears by their regular coffee! Service was fine, baristas were very excited about people's dogs and responded very sweetly to them. Not a great place to work bc space, there are 2 small tables inside, and parking was bleh, but coffee was good enough to come back! read more

Cute interior to grab a solo drink. The decorations are cute but there isn't much seating. The outdoor seating is a bit noisy as it on the sidewalk of a busy street. Drinks were ok, nothing special , the matcha however was bland and weak. I would not recommend the matcha here, opt for a coffee instead. read more
This is one of my favorite matcha combinations (cherry matcha). You get the tartness of the cherry, but the matcha shines through too. Neither over power each other and blend together well. There wasn't a line so service was quick & friendly. read more
Was looking for a good matcha in the area and found Picnic! I love Strawberry Matcha Lattes so when I saw that on the menu I had to get one. I can be picky sometimes but this one was pretty good! The point off is purely because the staff was not the most friendly and it was pretty cramped inside but I would still come back nonetheless! read more

Decent matcha if you're in the area; the lavender matcha tasted like lavender without tasting too much like soap which is great. The cookie was huge; I tried a bit of my friend's and it was yummy but a bit sweet. Parking lot is very small and street parking is basically impossible though in the area. read more

Finally I post a review of a sweet coffee spot on Sunset I've had my sights on for a while- the line was consistently too long till today-! Picnic is 'holding its own' in an area of town long known for boutique and specialty coffee spots. I had the sense I was in Brooklyn, the square footage of the location is maximized by playful but not overwhelming interior design. The espresso is a rich roast, the matcha is perfect, the design and interior is primed and waiting for the socials-pix-closeups. So many flavors of specialty espresso drinks are offered-! I am tempted to return and try allllll the drinks, some of which are seasonal, so beware that your affections don't hold too tightly to a seasonal selection-! The music was a very current playlist of self-produced music artists- I recommend Shazam-ing some of these new tunes. The barista was expert level (Barista Champion, in my book), with perfectly crafted shots and specialty drinks. Perfect foam. Charming latte art. The pastry case = jewel case of earthly delights. A friend and I tried a couple drinks (Spanish Latte, Spiced Matcha, Strawberry Matcha and Miso Caramel Latte) & all were so yummy! The staff as well had excellent service and were very accommodating. Wait a minute, Picnic Coffee is really good lolol. I love exploring coffee shops, and Picnic Coffee is hitting the right notes. Although it's really small and has limited seating, this place is bomb. I've had this place saved, and I've been curious about their seasonal menu, like the Ube Vienna and Hojicha Vienna, but I decided to get what they are known for, their Signature Vienna, which I got with matcha and oat milk. I really appreciate that they have a vegan option and a vegan cream top because I am lactose intolerant. Picnic Coffee knows what's up because I'll go to different coffee shops and they don't have vegan cream tops and Picnic does! So I am going to round up to five stars. The service was good. The drink was great. I'm a happy customer lolol. read more
