I have passed by here so many times and it always looked interesting to me. (Also because I've seen this place go through several businesses throughout the years). There's a free parking lot which is a huge plus!! The interior is clean and simple. I had the black sesame cream latte which had a nice caffeine kick. I've also been into black sesame at the moment so this hit the spot. I have to come back and try their mochi drinks. They are cashless!

Great customer service, clean, has parking, WiFi and outlets, and fairly priced. Newly opened so not as popular...yet. Got a black sesame latte and it was overall good. I was worried it'd be sweet, but it was not! Pretty mild. It does get watered down so I think it should be drank quick otherwise it'll not be good.

Finally got a chance to try Cafe De Mama's new location in East Hollywood! It's such a cute and cozy spot with a few tables and a spacious outdoor patio. They have a small parking lot that can fit 3 cars or so, but there's plenty of street parking in the nearby area. I ordered the green forest mochi latte which is a mugwort cream on matcha milk with 3 pieces of mochi. The mugwort cream is absolutely delicious and so earthy and creamy, and you can dip the mochi in the cream which is a fun touch. Overall such a delicious and unique drink!

Cafe de Mama opened up in the former Boo's Philly Cheesesteaks location, and I was curious to see how the location would fare as a cafe. It's right on the corner of Virgil and Fountain Avenue, and they have added an outdoor patio area along with their limited indoor seating. They offer a variety of matcha and espresso-based drinks (though they only offer lattes if you are looking for espresso and milk combinations). While I have not tried them yet, they also offer croissant waffles (croffles) in both sweet and savory variations. I tried their black sesame cream latte, which had that nutty flavor that you would expect in a way that felt balanced by the other drink components. I've also had their matcha latte, which I thought was solid. I'm curious to try more of their menu on a future visit!

New Cafe de Mama location! I love that they have a little lot for parking. It's a new location so it's not super busy so it's quiet and a nice place to study for now. I love the natural lighting and open window. They don't have much seating. They only have 3 tables but it seems more like a grab a coffee and catch up than sit and study place My go to is their black sesame cream top latte! They have just perfected the nutty black sesame taste with the creamy top. I will say their drinks are on the milkier side but their cream top is so good!

    Welcome to Cafe De Mama.

All you need is a coffee, wifi and a dream. Without further ado, let's dive into this review. Cafe De Mama is a small brand new coffee corner shop in Los Feliz/East Hollywood section of LA. They offer a modest selection of coffee drinks (hot/cold), lattes, matcha and croffle. This spot used to be Boo's Cheesesteak. I was walking aimlessly one hot sunny Thursday afternoon, disoriented and thirsty. I stumbled upon this coffee shop and decided to grab a cold coffee drink. I walked-in and was perfunctorily greeted by a young le petite pinked haired lady. I perused their menu, and decided to order a Cold Brew. It's super concentrated, aroma and flavor are a bit intense despite the cream x sugar that I added. Even a sub par cold coffee is better than no coffee at all. Trust me, I know what a great coffee taste; after all I was bequeathed with a Yelp Elite Coffee Connoisseur 2025 award. The coffee shop is neat, spacious and has limited tables. However, they have a long outdoor bench available for coffee addicts. Lol. Staff were affable, competent, and professional. Interior decor is very minimal. Similarly, it has a very relaxing atmosphere. Prices were competitive and economically affordable. Rear parking available albeit limited to five car ports. Overall, I had a good order experience but not so much on the Cold Brew.

I'm SOOOO happy I tried this place! Never disappointed in the drinks nor the food. You must try the everything croffle with cream cheese too. The times I've visited most people are kicking back doing work on their laptops. Staff are always super nice and patient. It has a simple, modern feel to the space and there is an outdoor patio if that's your preference. There is a small parking lot but some street parking as well. Will be back this week

Excited to have a yum new coffee shop near by! We ordered: - Black Sesame Latte (iced) - Cinnamon Honey Ginger Latte (hot)* - Cream Cheese Croffle* - Egg Salad Croffle My cinnamon honey ginger latte was delicious! That kick of ginger was exactly what I was looking for and I'm looking forward to having it again. The black sesame latte was potent and well done. The cream cheese croffle was simple and tasty, but I was surprised by the pieces of pear (could've been apple) in the egg salad croffle. Not my preference, so I would've enjoyed without it. The space is small but fresh, very simple and stylish overall! There is a very small parking lot attached.

Stopped by Cafe De Mama on a Thursday morning before work and wow... so glad I did. I've been searching for a good black sesame latte spot nearby and this place officially became our new go-to. Got there around 7:30am and there were already a few people there, which honestly says a lot. Parking is on the smaller side. The place itself was very clean and has a pretty good-sized indoor space. They also have an outdoor area where people can just hang out, relax, and enjoy their drinks. I ordered the black sesame latte and the vanilla bean latte -- both were absolutely delicious. The black sesame latte especially was rich, smooth, and exactly what I was hoping for. The server was extremely friendly and welcoming too, which made the experience even better. Definitely coming back.

    Injeolmi Mochi Latte with Espresso
    Lauren C.

I wish I lived closer because oh my god I love this place. -- the mochi! The injeolmi! The espresso! Everything is perfect and it's not too sweet which is the highest praise I can give. The barista behind the counter was super kind and place is friendly and bright overall too, was welcome pause for wonder and delight in my weekend. I'm so jaded by other places' costs that this feels like a bargain to boot. I'll be back as often as I can swing it :)

My friend and I stopped by Cafe de Mama during their soft opening and really enjoyed the experience. We both ordered the Black Sesame Cream Lattes -- the black sesame flavor was rich and nutty, balanced nicely by the sweet and creamy foam on top. It's definitely more of an indulgent treat than an everyday drink for me, but absolutely delicious. We also shared the croffle with cream cheese filling. The texture was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and doughy inside. The cream cheese filling was rich without being overly heavy or overpowering. The shop itself is charming and cozy, and the bold blue roof gives it such a distinct personality. I'd definitely come back to try more items and support this lovely new spot.

    Rayanna B.

My family and I have always been a big fan of all of their drinks. Earlier today, I tried their Matcha Mochi Latte and it did not disappoint. The matcha tasted like legit matcha and it was the perfect amount of creamy and sweet, just the way I like it. I am so glad they opened up this location closer to where I live because it's easier to find parking here compared to their other store.

Such a quiet and relaxing spot with a really interesting selection of drinks. We tried the cold brew with foam and the sweet vanilla latte, and really enjoyed both. The coffee was aromatic and flavorful. Definitely recommend checking this place out! They have plenty of seating and parking, which is always a big plus

We sat inside and I ordered a simple brunch with just 2 strips of bacon, 2 over medium eggs and waffles. The server asked me if I wanted a full size waffle or half size and as I was watching the other people order I noticed people were not hesitating to order the full size option and I thought dang, they are not gonna finish that, so I opted for the half serving which was 2 pretty good sized waffles. Once I took my 1st bite, I suddenly regretted only ordering the half size option. I instantly knew right then and there why people ordered the full size. A waffle is a waffle right guys? Wrong... not this waffle. This waffle will make you feel love inside that you didn't know existed. As we were walking inside the restaurant I actually was picking a fight with my husband for no apparent reason... possibly because I was hungry but after I took my first bite, I forgot about the argument haha. I told him he needs to bring me here ALL THE TIME. I am yet to come back a 2nd time and I already anticipate loving it the 2nd time. We drove by one day hoping to have a 2nd try here and it was really busy so we didn't make the stop. I look forward to coming back and the next time around I will not hesitate to order a full size waffle order. The staff was really nice, our server was this young lady who was waiting on all the tables inside and some outside was on top of it. She was really pleasant and the gentlemen in the back were also nice. The restaurant was clean when we visited and the service was really quick. We parked down the street, the walk wasn't too bad, we didn't know where to park but I read some of the other reviews and I guess there's a parking in the back somewhere. If you live nearby and you haven't visited, do yourself a favor and try them out. Shortly after, she walked in and we both had breakfast together. I have been to this lovely, well kept and maintained establishment at least 7 times in the past. 2nd time reviewing this place. We ordered a Veggie Omelette that came with: spinach, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, & asparagus. For cheese we opted for Swiss cheese free of charge. ($18.99), got a side order of fruit ($5.99), an order of English Muffin(toasted) ($2.99), and a large Orange Juice for ($5.49). Total came out to be $30.70 including tax, minus his tip. Both guys Nathan and Benny were very helpful, attentive and nice. Food was very hot, DELICIOUS and prices were affordable for their portions. Nathan didn't charge me for the OJ, because he forgot to bring me my whipped cream that came with a side of half Waffle, that actually looked more like a full Waffle. We both stayed with water. They have pretty extensive menu options from breakfast, salads, wraps, and sandwiches. All types of beverages. Hot and cold. Business of operation is consistent, which I LOVE!! Gender neutral restroom, a nice patio on both sides of the restaurant, and about 8 to 10 spots of parking spaces behind the restaurant. Restroom was also clean and fully stocked with all the essentials. Nice artwork on the walls. You can also find street or meter parking. They have 2 or 3 other locations. They did a little touch up here and there that was very noticeable. This is a great breakfast/lunch spot to indulge yourself. I wanted to eat more, but one can only eat so much. Ambiance was very nice, chill, clean, and had overhead music playing inside the restaurant.. They have to-go orders, delivery, but no catering. 10/10. Will definitely return next time I am craving any one of their menu options. Thank you Nathan, Benny, management & Waffles!!

My fiancé and I tried the Huevos Rancheros plate, Peaches and Cream Waffle, and the Thai Style Fried Chicken plate. Along with their two drinks; Sunset Refresher & Blueberry Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha. Huevos Rancheros were a hit. To be honest I thought the dish to be a small serving at first. But it's actually a good portion. You get three tostadas stacked and layered with black beans and mozzarella and topped off with over easy eggs and salsa. I loved how the corn tortillas maintained their crunch and never got soggy. The habanero salsa that it came had a good KICK. Peaches and Cream waffle was good as well. It is seasonal so we jumped on the opportunity. Waffle was thick and fluffy that came with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The peaches were also thick and the sauce it came was light and sweet. Can never go wrong with ice cream and waffles. The Thai Style chicken was pleasant surprise. Before we ate the chicken, I tried a piece of the breading and I knew it was gonna be a good one. Lots of flavor from the tom yum seasoning and the chicken was a decent size. It's not spicy and comes with a sweet sauce to dip in. The bell peppers balanced out this dish. I was a fan of the sunset refresher. It's a mix of hibiscus, pineapple and lemonade. It's more tart than sweet but refreshing. The blueberry cold foam iced matcha was solid. Not too sweet and properly balance. Overall a good brunch spot with a large menu guaranteed to have you come back to try other things. A little pricey.

My boyfriend loves their breakfast tacos (super hearty, 2 would be enough but a 3rd was taken home). Super generous portion with their cooked meat on top - SO good (classic bacon, or their mole and barbacoa). The Chipotle chilaquiles were absolutely delicious! I've never had an authentic Chipotle sauce taste like that... super creamy, and homemade, not overtly smoky like you usually have at other places. We also had their cafe de olla cold brew (since it was a hot summer heat wave), and it was good - classic with their cafe de olla spices - but I'm sure their classic hot cafe de olla is even better. The space itself is beautiful--minimalist, bright, and super spacious. There are lots of large tables and outlets, which makes it a great place to study or get some work done. Otherwise, it's a great photo op spot. I got the Iced Tabby Brown Sugar with the Mellow Wave blend, which has been my go-to coffee order at Fika Fika. It's creamy and smooth with a nice coffee flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. We also tried the new Paw Cakes in strawberry, black sesame, and vanilla, along with the lychee and brown sugar ice cream. Everything was super cute and fun to try! I especially like that the West Pico location seems to have a bigger selection of specialty desserts than some of the other locations I've visited. They had adorable Capybara and Panda mousse cakes that I'll definitely have to come back for. Great coffee, cute desserts, and such a nice space to hang out or study. Really happy to see Fika Fika expanding around LA!

This place is really spacious with a ton of seating -- perfect to work, study, or even to hang out with friends/family. I also love the minimal yet chic decor which makes it so fun. The service was great! We were unsure of what to order exactly but the individual helping us gave some great suggestions. We ordered the butterfly pea latte along with the Japanese hojicha and they were great. The perfect balance of roastiness, sweetness, and creaminess from the milk. The ice creams were really great and creamy too. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu!
