Been years since I've been back to &Waffles. My kid is now 12yo and he LOVES WAFFLES. Since we were up early on a Monday morning, this was the perfect spot! Once inside we were quickly greeted. The atmosphere and vibes were chill. I'm happy to know that it's just as good if not better than the first time. Service was very attentive. Our food came out hot and tasty. My son ate all of his waffle. He loved it. I had the chicken and waffles. The wing pieces were larger than what I expected. It was a great way to start the day. Can't wait to return.

Best waffles in Los Angeles. Is definitely a true statement. The service was amazing. The food was excellent. I love the small dining room for you. I family friendly environment. Definitely need to come here if you're near Universal Studios.

This place has it all, but we stopped by for brunch. They do have a huge lunch menu, though, if that's what you're looking for. There was a bit of a wait outside, but we probably only waited about 20 minutes. Once seated, we ordered chorizo burrito but plate style, waffle churro style, and onion rings. Everything we had was delicious! The churro waffle was delicious, didn't even need syrup. The chorizo burrito was the perfect savory dish to pair with the waffle. And the onion rings were cooked perfectly. No frills restaurant, service is quick and staff is really friendly. Seemed to have plenty of street parking, but not sure if we just got lucky. Loved that we could see Universal Studios from here!

My daughter and I decided to do a little brunch date and spotted the cutest waffle angel wings painted on the side of the building -- my daughter loves taking pictures with wings like that so we had to stop. Super cute little corner spot with a really fun vibe. Service was quick. They brought us to our table right away. The server was very nice. She ordered the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and absolutely devoured them, they were so good. I ordered the jalapeño burger. The burger itself was delicious and full of flavor, but unfortunately the buns were a little dry. Luckily the french fries were so good they made up for it. All in all, I'd definitely come back to try more things on the menu. They had a huge variety of waffle toppings and my daughter already wants to come back and try another combo!

I loved this joint. The staff is friendly and kind. The service moves along with grace, and your food comes out hot. There is free coffee while you wait. The place is small, a good loud and cute. The price points are competitive and there is plenty of street parking.

If you're a waffle person... this place is dangerous. The waffle selection is actually crazy--in the best way. I tried the green matcha waffles and they did not disappoint. Super flavorful, not too sweet, and just a really unique option you don't see everywhere. Also love that you can order a half portion if you don't want to go all in (but you probably will next time). Service was great and fast, which always makes the experience even better. Definitely coming back to try more.

Raphael was absolutely awesome! "Your wish is my command" vibes! This place can do some phenomenal things with waffles according to the menu- we had an omelette, cereal crusted French toast, and eggs and sausage. Delicious sand we will definitely return when we are in the area! The lattes were excellent too!!! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

Oh where to start. You guys were the most wholesome and genuine people we had the pleasure of meeting this trip to CA. The food, the best chicken this country boy has ever had. I can not get over how caring you guys are. Christian and the crew, thank you so much you are amazing. Best wishes from West Virginia. Don't stop until we see you on our side of the country!

Been hearing about this place. Since we're in Universal Studios we visited the place. Good thing we're early, I have a feeling the parking will be an issue cuz this place located in a residential area. Likewise, the place is small, thus it will easily get packed. Customer service is awesome!!! They keep on checking on us. Now let's talk about the main reason why we visited this place... waffles!!!! They keep on waffle is epic! Crispy on the outside and soft inside. Not sweet, which is good! Now the pancakes for the kids which is the "Maddie Mouse"... the kids love it! First of all, they were impressed of the presentation, 2nd they love the taste. Likewise the french toast. My daughter is picky and seldome finish her food. I was surprised that she finished it and said, it was good! Highly recommended!

    Breakfast with my sister.

I had a late breakfast at & Waffles with my family, and we were blown away! My sister summed it up perfectly: "& Waffles has the best-tasting pancakes and waffles I've ever had." She wasn't exaggerating--everything we ordered was fresh, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. They've got TVs playing sports, great music in the background, and a chill, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. A special shoutout to the manager--he was super fun and energetic. He took pictures with us in front of their awesome wings mural painted on the front of the restaurant, and he even made a TikTok video with us. Easily one of the most memorable breakfast experiences we've had as a family. I'm absolutely coming back--and next time, I'm checking out their Long Beach location too. If you want amazing breakfast food and a fun atmosphere, & Waffles is the spot!

A way to "comp" their forgetfulness to put in our orders.

The food is not that all that great but the service was abysmal. Came in at 8:15am and got seated right away. We only ordered 2 items; waffle combo and french toast combo. It took them an hour to get us the food. The party who came after us got their food first. The server clearly forgot to get our orders made but didn't offer an apology. After 5 mins, She asked "how's everything now that everyone got their food?" Then they rushed to give us our check because they were starting to get a line outside. Then they offer us this voucher. Lol..right.... I wonder if the reason was that because we were the only Asians there at that time..Hmmmmm

I Love this place!!!!!!!it was my first time going and I will definitely be coming back with family and friends. Great customer service!!!!! We came at a peak hour and still got seated in a few minutes and Chris is an amazing guy. Can't really miss him he just shines and you can tell he loves his job and talking to customers. Quinn was so sweet. I can't wait to see them again. FIRST time ever to have soft light waffles with a bit of a crunch. They were light and not heavy like other waffles places. We did get carried away lol and ordered a sandwich with onion rings. Bomb.com. I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday with Jackie and thank you so much Chris and Quinn for making it more memorable.

Second time stopping in at &Waffles, and today I went for the steak and eggs. As expected, service was great, greeted and seated immediately. The New York steak was seasoned so well, I joked with the server about needing tortillas but the waffle more than made up for it. The eggs were over easy and perfect. The waffle was crispy outside, soft inside, topped with powdered sugar, strawberries, syrup, and a little slab of butter. It was the perfect combination!

He wore his medal for the picture. ‍Our breakfast.

Ask the Community - & Waffles

Are there vegan options? I feel like it'd be easy to make a vegan waffle with the plant based milk they already use for their coffees.

I am lactose intolerant and I enjoy soy or oat latte. The waiter said "yes" when I asked if they served them. He brought a mug with a nice looking latte and a side of oat milk. When I asked what it was for he said it was to make the latte an oat…

Is this place currently open for dine out?

Yes. Currently open for dine in or take out

    What are the vegan options?

They currently have none except coffee ):

Is it open for dine in?

No restaurants in LA County are open for dine in. Just take out

Is the WH location the same hours as NoHo or? Website doesn't have hours open nor do the social media link correctly.

It's the same hours as NoHo!

    Are dogs allowed?

Several people seated outdoors brought their dogs and the waitresses attended to the dogs; gave them water dishes and even a treat. Definitely an animal friendly restaurant.

    Do they still deliver?

They do I believe through grub hub or Uber eats I've seen people picking up delivery orders there.

Any egg/nut free options? Vegan waffles?

I'm not sure...I would recommend calling the business directly

    Do they have mimosas?

Unfortunately no, I'd recommend having a drink or two before you go.

Anyone know of a working phone number? I've tried to call for two days and the number just beeps and hangs up immediately.

That's the only number I know But you can contact them via facebook. If you want to place an order you can do that via yelp. It is easy and convenient. Hope this helps!

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes there are gluten free options. If you look at the menu you can see a variety of egg dishes that do not have gluten.

Is it very busy on a friday and is it good for kids?

It was a long wait, but the restaurant is fine for kids, if not a bit small.

Is it very busy on Friday brunch time? Is it difficult to find parking? And is it good for kids?

Yes it gets really busy over the weekend. I suggest to come early and use the yelp waitlist. Parking can be difficult too but the food is worth the wait in my opinion!

Is breakfast & lunch served at the same time all day?

    Yes, all day for both

Are gluten free waffles and other selections available?

they have s lot of option s for breakfast in general, i dont think they have gluten free waffles tho.... but call to double check!

Sit on the patio to enjoy the full effect of the fairy lights, fireplace and cozy spaces meant for an intimate date. I had their Old Fashioned which was banana flavored for summer. The banana was a more subtle finish, not sweet, but I still prefer their peach version and wish it was also on the menu. The deviled eggs are just the right bite for drinks. We also had the flatbread and hummus, made with green garbanzo beans and served with watermelon radish and pita bread. TIP: if you like biscuits, order theirs! Though it can be very busy on weekends, it was quiet this Thursday morning, so I was greeted and seated immediately. The menu features all the usual and expected options, from eggs and omelets to pancakes, burgers, salads, sandwiches and even egg salad that's "made to order." They've also added their own coffee bar in an adjunct space, so the hot drink options are extensive. Today, I ordered Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. The food came out quickly and pleasingly hot. The hash was well done and crispy (as requested), and had good flavor -- a nice balance of seasoning without being too salty. Eggs were also done exactly as requested, and the over medium yolks blended perfectly with the crisp hash. A side of cottage cheese was fresh, and the English muffin lightly toasted but properly warm to melt the butter. This may have been a traditional, old school, non-trendy breakfast order, but it was executed perfectly and was a satisfying start to the day. My server, Elza, was friendly and helpful, checking on me repeatedly, and making sure I had everything I needed. The place has been doing its thing since the 1960's, and they offer generous portions at prices at least a few bucks below the going rate. Perhaps it's because they own the building (it used to be a house), or maybe they just know how to manage their expenses properly. Whatever the reason, paying reasonable prices for amply served good food is reason enough for a visit. But it's far from the only reason. That converted house still holds 4 cozy tables at the front, and sitting in there you feel like you may be in a country cafe somewhere off the interstate. But out back there's a roomy courtyard patio with awnings and umbrellas, and foliage that's got nothing to do with Southern California. That foreign foliage, combined with the exposed brick of neighboring buildings, gives the impression of a breakfast nook in the French Quarter, minus the humidity and morning-after regret. The slightly off-kilter tables balanced carefully on the equally uneven cement complete the imperfectly perfect charm of the scene. Our server, Cait, was cheery and attentive, friendly and chatty, despite having quite a few tables to tend to. She carefully noted special requests, and kept things moving along. My wife ordered the Breakfast Combo of Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs and Bacon, and they did not disappoint. The pancakes were good-sized but properly cooked, with crispy edges and a moist interior (often, the bigger flapjacks fail the edge-to-center cook ratio, but these were on point). Eggs were well-made, and the bacon crispy. For my meal, I asked that the Italian Omelet be made as a scramble, and they happily obliged. The sausage neatly balanced sweetness and herbs for a truly Italian flavor profile. Scrambled together with eggs and sauteed peppers & onions, and topped with melted mozzarella cheese, this was a hearty and satisfying starring feature. But the co-star -- house-made home fries, also with peppers and onions -- played its role very well, offering a lot more taste than so many potato sides served up across the town. Really a great breakfast, though you should know they have a full menu of lunch items as well. Common sense would say I should shut up, lest the place become too busy and I have to wait a long time for my next table; but real common sense says everyone should go and enjoy a good meal in a great setting, and Vivian's should stay in business for another 60 years.
