This is such a cute brunch place and truly enjoyed my time with my girlfriends. I got the green goddess avocado plate. It was refreshing going through this plate and like how there is a grilled lime to compliment the whole dish. The green goddess dressing was well excuted. My friend also enjoyed their dishes. Service was pretty fast even though it was peak lunch time. I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs and arugula salad. I absolutely loved the bright, tangy dressing on the arugula. It highlighted the arugula really nicely. The eggs were perfectly poached and the yolk was actually very vibrant. So much so that I had to pause and comment how vibrant it was. There were also red peppers under the egg, so if it's too much of a kick, feel free to scrape some off. I also had their lemon bar and their matcha latte. Good matcha, but the lemon bar won me over. I ordered the Green Goddess Chicken Avocado plate and there's no way to describe how amazing this dish is! It is made with what i beleive is Tarragon which can be a new flavor to most people, but my friends all tried some of my dish and really liked it as well! My friends got the Crispy Chinese Chicken and California Chicken Sandwich which they all really liked. They also all ordered drinks, one got the Watermelon refresher, one got lavender lemonade and the other ordered a iced latte. Every one left very full and satisfied. The ambiance is so nice, though a bit cramped since it is on the smaller end of cafes, it still just feels cozy! We did come around 2:00pm which made it wasy for us to find seating, but I have come earlier and it is very hard to find a place to sit. The only complaint I have is the lack of parking. Alas, I passed on the scrumptious-looking Nutella Pancakes! I came a few months ago and got short rib tacos from the special list and really liked them so when I came again I ordered the Crispy short rib tacos. This is my mom's favorite restaurant so she was so happy I finally found something I liked but they were totally different this time. The short rib was very dry and stringy and also had a lot of fat. I didn't have to pull any fat out the previous time and this time I probably pulled 1/2 the meet out and didn't finish any of it. I don't know if it was a different special before but this seemed totally different and just not good at all. The service was not great either and seemed to be a lot it confusion going on with the kitchen/staff. They "lost" one of our orders completely and then found it and it was a much smaller portion than usual. The personalized decorations add a special touch, making it a perfect setting for my book club meet up with friends. I wish they offered more options for substituting pork in their breakfast burritos. Although the burrito was delicious without any meat, it could have been even better with additional choices. As a Muslim, I always appreciate when breakfast places cater to dietary restrictions, so I hope they consider adding more options in the future. Forks, knives, and napkins are already in a basket at the table with enough for at least 3 turnovers (take that as you wish). If you're like me, food is what you really judge on. And overall the food is great but pricey for the quantity. You get your moneys worth in quality though! They have a full coffee bar which is perfect with pairing breakfast with a delicious latte or cap it off with espresso if you prefer. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and either way, you can't go wrong! Breakfast brioche sandwich has a beautifully thick and buttery toasted brioche with an over medium egg, cheese, perfect bacon, and one of the best aiolis I've had. Breakfast burrito is very flavorful, great mix of ingredients, but a bit on the smaller side for the price. For lunch the BAT is my go too. The service is minimal. You order at the counter and someone delivers your food and I tipped on that before I even had the full experience. That's not how tipping works. I've been in the service industry for decades. I tip on the product and the service. The ambiance is boring and the seating is hard and uncomfortable. As usual the tables are not level like pretty much any place you go these days. No one goes around before opening to make sure the feet are level. Half of the space is taken up by stuffed animals and unnecessary ceramics/pottery etc. Is there a household anywhere that doesn't already have enough of the latter? I do not recommend this place.
