Came in for a Cobb salad and accidentally ended up with the chicken salad instead, but I'm not mad about it because it was actually really good. This place was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon, which is always a good sign. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and we would definitely come back.
First time customer. Staff is fantastic and very helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the food is fantastic. I went with the recommendation of the cashier, and ordered the Buenos Aires, minus the bell pepper. FANTASTIC! And their chips are homemade! None of that generic mass produced bagged stuff. I will go back the first chance I get. :-)
I've been coming here for over 5 years. I love their sandwiches. Try the "Roughage" if you are vegetarian. The "Buffalo Chicken" sandwich is great if you like a little spice. I highly recommend their skinny fries as a side or the salad. I also love that they have real brewed Iced Tea (not the fake fountain stuff). Enjoy?
I had this craving for a burger today, however I was directed by my yelp to The carving board for a reason. From the moment I arrived the employee AM Drawer was so kind and welcoming. Looking at the menus I had no idea what I wanted, I asked for a recommendation and was guided to the Buenos Aires, I added some fries and their coleslaw. Wow, so good! The ambience is casual and clean. Definitely coming back again. I want to try all these sandwiches. See you soon
These are one of the BEST sandwiches in Burbank!!! I am so surprised and happy the Carving Board exists and makes such delicious sandwiches in this area! So skip any chain-sandwich-shop-- and go here folks; you'll be glad you did! (After having one sandwich I went back in and ordered another for dinner. I had too.) The service was polite and straightforward. Sandwiches presented on a carving board (of course!) The ambiance is your typical sit down family friendly atmosphere. The food is obviously the main star of the show here! This is a seriously good sandwich shop (better than Mendocino Farms, I'll say it!); a local business as well. One worth supporting too once you get something here. I really liked their French Dip sandwich for one, and the Turkey Dinner sandwich! You really can't go wrong here guys. Nicely done Carving Board! Definitely adding this to the list!
Very impressive burger presentation. A little too hard to eat. It's a mountain of a burgers. Good flavor, very fresh ingredients. Just a lot to handle. Better be hungry if you order this one. Has outdoor seating. Kinda small inside the restaurant. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. The house made chips were really good.
i love love love loveeeeeeeeee the chicken salad club!!! it's a chicken Cesar salad with bacon in sandwich form and it is literally such a genius idea!!! it was so deliciously yummy!!! their shoe string fries were also good.10/10 best meal! most definitely recommend to try this sandwich!! the service was efficient. i was immediately greeted and girl who assisted me was very sweet! i will be returning again for the chicken salad club!!
We were starving for lunch. And what a great choice. So peaceful and quite atmosphere. Great choices. The sandwiches were so yummy. And the cookies were warm and so tasty. This place is highly recommend and I can't wait to tell my family and friends. Nice staff as well.
11/2023. Turkey chili is awesome , please have it available in a large bowl. Love this place just wish there was music to create an upbeat vibe. Pet friendly and multiple healthy choices. Totally worth every penny. Don't forget to try their desserts....cookies and yes their butter cake? Butter something?
Checked my Yelp! app for a place to eat on the way to the Airport and came upon The Carving Board. Ordered the Sweet November turkey sandwich. What a great sandwich! All the ingredients tasted fresh and all worked well: Turkey breast, goat cheese, cranberry, baby cucumber, tomato, bermuda onion and balsamic glaze on 9 grain wheat (I did take the onion out as I believe onions overpower flavor profiles in most sandwiches). Too bad there isn't a Carving Board restaurant near me.
Fast and friendly service, absolutely exceptional food and nice, clean restaurant. My friend and I came here for lunch and we had a great time. We were surprised that it was not busy at all. Or food arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered it. I got the turkey club with no cheese and lettuce wrapped, with a side salad that came with the meal. My friend got the Bentley with tomato soup. They do lettuce wraps for all of their sandwiches so I got one since I'm gluten-free and they didn't have GF bread. Everything was perfect except they only have like 10 minute parking on the street near them and there are no lots or parking garages near them. We had to park a couple of blocks away and walk there. I didn't mind the walk, but I may not come here with others unless we are just picking up food since there is virtually no parking. I do plan to return, though. They got my order right and it tasted so good!!
This establishment deserves five stars for the food. My favorite is the sunrise sandwich with bacon and ham as well as the red bean torta for our vegan friends. The side salads and the champagne vinaigrette dressing is award worthy. The shoestring french fries are a OK! I lived near the Hollywood location for several years and was a regular but since I have moved from there, have not been back. But then I discovered this location close to my new place. I have one bone to pick: The first time I ordered, it was very close to 9pm closing time. So I called in and put my in my order and paid over the phone. When I arrived to pick up the order at 8:55, I wanted to add a drink onto my order but the girl had already closed the register down, so I was unable to add anything onto my order. She was also a bit short with me, which I attributed to the fact that it was closing time and we were the last order. About a week later, I came back. Same routine, called in the order and picked up. And then about a week after that also, this time we decided to dine in. every single time the same girl was a cashier and she was very short with us, very unhelpful with any questions, I am almost rushing you through your order to get out of her face. we're hoping that one of these times they would be a different cashier but no such luck. It's not my place to tell anyone how to do their job but as a patron of a restaurant, I want to feel welcome and that any question I may have will be answered willingly so that my dining experience is top notch. Sad to say this is definitely not the case here.

Bun was perfect & didn't overwhelm the burger. Nice amount of fresh lettuce and tomato. The burger was delicious & perfectly cooked but tasted a bit like Salisbury steak. French fries were almost toothpick thin - way too thin. Service was excellent and accommodating.
This place is horrible and I must have been one of the last groups to go here before it permanently closed, which I have to say is a good thing because it was overpriced and awful. Cold stale fries, wet gross sandwiches, and bread that tasted like it was bought a week ago at a five and dime. The service was horrible too. Messed up our order and argued when we asked them to correct it. Not one nice thing to say about this place and I'm glad it's gone. Good riddance. read more

The carving board is well know for serving delicious sandwiches, made to order. This location is the nearest for me, and I usually park in the public parking lot and then walk up to the location. I went this past weekend, placed an order through yelp and was able to pick it up on time. I ordered the "Buenos Aires" sandwich made with filet mignon chimichurri sauce, mushrooms, bell pepper and mozzarella served over n a talera roll. I am in between this sandwich and "the Bentley" they never disappoint and worth the extra $$.I also ordered the deep fried Oreos and this dessert can be shared! Amazing rich sweet flavor, has Ghirardelli chocolate and topped with whipped cream! Yummm! Overall, I prefer placing my order and taking it home rather than dining in. It is located near a busy intersection in Burbank and so you may run into a line if you walk in during lunch hours, especially. I recommend you check this place out and give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

The Clydesdale roast beef sandwich is excellent, I highly recommend it. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance is casual and relaxed, just like I like it. Also, very yummy, thick and delicious tomato soup. All at a reasonable price. read more
This place is LIT! I've been wanting to find a go-to sandwich spot, and I think I finally found it! But you really need to know what to order. For my first visit, I made the mistake by ordering a cold, chicken salad sandwich which was more like a 3-star rating. Then I came back again and tried the Chicken Parm and the Bentley, which was BOMB! The hot sandwiches are DEFINITELY better here. I pounded the Bentley, I could've had another one! I want to come back to try the breakfast sandwiches and the Diane. I also had the deep fried Oreos and butter cake (which is more like a bar). I've been a fan of butter cake ever since I had it at Nick's Restaurant, but it wasn't the same. Obviously these are filling, and I felt stuffed after eating them, but it was worth trying it once. Parking is a bit tricky here. You could try one of the structures and walk, but I usually park up the street. The restaurant does not offer dedicated parking. read more

If you the one who likes Different tastes try whatever you like from their menu. About the sandwiches, at the first I thought it was small portions but unfortunately it kept me full all the afternoon and evening. The marinade steak was so good but little bit salty for me, and the steak was melting in my mouth. About the sides there were 4 options macaroni salad, coleslaw salad, fries, and tomato soup. I won't be ordering again. Staff is RUDE. I ordered through Postmates and added SPECIFIC notes which the staff ignored.. I let it go at the time. 2 days later I reorder and have the same experience. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager about the issue and the person I spoke to hung up on me.... This pissed me off, so I called back and the staff member had the audacity to start giggling and laughing and saying that the order wasn't wrong.... And that there were no notes.. I told her that I have screenshots and that she doesn't have to be rude. Won't be going to this location again because her response angered me. She laughs and says there no note stating my specific requests when I know damn well there is. You don't sit there and giggle and laugh when a customer is upset and they're asking you to fix their order. Unbelievable. I won't be ordering from this location again. read more

Don't order out if you're going to get a salad!! They will give you 1/2 of what an original salad size is . Sad salad it even looks nasty, the guacamole is brown and bad. read more
Great sandwiches with tons of flavor and freshness. Something unique and different that makes them stand out. I honestly walked in and looked at the menu and couldn't decide what to get. I went ahead and stayed safe and got the medianoche which is their take on the cuban sandwich. The telera roll was nice and soft and the garlic mojo sauce was on point. The ham, pickles, and swiss cheese just combined for a sandwich that you can't go wrong with. Seeing as how the medianoche was on the rich side, I decided on getting a side that was more lighter so I went with the kale pasta salad. I honestly wasn't expecting the sweetness and garlic flavor which I absolutely loved. Parking can be found if you go around the block and find public parking where the apartment living complexes are, or you can get lucky with street parking right in front. read more

Great food and service! Everything I've tried so far has been a hit! I'd recommend the Buenos Aires sandwich or their fish and chips sandwich. I love getting their arugula salad as a side, it's very simple but very delicious! read more
3.5 stars, but I'll round up. Had a to-go order from here a few weeks back. Honestly, it was average at best for me. Had the burger, which wasn't my favorite. I can't put my finger on it, but it was just an average burger for me. Sorry! I hate saying that. I wish it was spectacular for me, but it just lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. Their fries were fine, but honestly I wouldn't upgrade to them if I were to ever eat here again. The chip were actually AMAZING! So, so good. I also had the medianoche sandwich, which was pretty good. Good flavor. I wouldn't mind trying their food again, but I would definitely skip the burger and the fries. Absolutely get their chips, they're great! Everything was packaged nicely. Prices were fair. Portions were on the brink of fine, especially for the chips, there were a ton. Based on what I just ate the fact this spot has 4 1/2 stars is crazy to me. Starting to lose faith in Yelp. These are basic sandwiches, overpriced. The Carving Club is a joke at that price! Claiming "thick cut bacon". One piece of regular bacon per sandwich lol. Just be honest you guys. So cringy. The French dip was a joke as well. Was thinking Philippe's but way more like Arby's. Seriously. Arby's. read more
