Best way to describe Don Daisy? It's a 2-hands type of sandwich! What does that mean? It means it's so large you have to use 2 hands to eat it. I was in the mood for a unique sandwhich and saw that Don Daisy put chips inside and I was intrigued. The price scared me at first, but no need to be afraid. Definitely worth the $17. I went with the classic Don Daisy. Let me say this flavor is packed! Every bite was delicious with a crunch here and a pack of flavor there. Such a massive sandwich, definitely got 2 meals out of this. Also, parking wasn't as bad as I thought since there's a lot right behind the store. If you're looking for a good unique sandwich, Don Daisy it is!
AMAZING sandwiches. Small storefront on the Glendale street. There are two tables each with two chairs. A very intimate vibe since it's so small, you walk up to the counter and order. I got a Don Daisy sandwich on ciabatta. It was absolutely amazing , the perfect sandwich balance. The chips in the sandwich were my favorite part - they added a lot of extra texture and crisp. The cucumbers were also a highlight, cutting through the salty fats of the meat. They really balanced each element out well. I waited around 15 minutes after ordering to receive my sandwich, and a table had opened up by the time I got it, so I ate inside. A great experience overall. Highly recommend! Worth all the hype and the slightly more expensive price tag.
Coming back from our girls graduation, we stopped in Glendale specifically for A Don Daisy experience! Did NOT disappoint! The gal working was soo kind ,accommodating and helped us alot in deciding from their amazing selection! It's a super cute little place with sandwiches that have cute mob movie names. I got the heavenly Don Pastrami my lord! Melted in my mouth. The love put into that sandwich was appreciated! My niece is vegan and they had a Don Veggie which she loved. My favorite was when my sister who got the figetta about it sat in the back seat saying "OH MY GAWWD" repeatedly after each bite. Can't wait to come back!!!
Excellent sandwich place...this place is incredible. The sandwiches are huge and so good. I went with a buddy to try and we can't stop talking about how wonderful the food is here. I got the Sanatra and my buddy got the Don Daisy and we split one half so we could try both. Go early...no place to sit inside but plenty of tables outside around the corner. Either are excellent. Sooo good!

I loved the crunch from the kettle chips paired with the deli meats, the acidity from the pickles, and the freshness from the cucumbers. The layering of flavors and textures is impressive and the balance is so well done. I really enjoyed this sandwich and will definitely be back, especially to try their turkey sandwich next time. One thing to note is that the sandwiches are bigger than I expected. One sandwich will absolutely fill you up. I had half and it held me down for hours. They're ranked 88th in the nation for sandwiches, and if you haven't been yet, you should definitely check them out.
This is pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of cold cut sandwiches but I really enjoyed this spot. I don't know if it's the quality of the ingredients or how it's put together, probably both. Don Daisy sandwich was good but I liked Sinatra way more, just a great combination of flavors. I also preferred the Ciabatta over the sourdough on these sandwiches, although both were good. I couldn't tell by looking at the photos but the sandwiches are pretty big, would probably be hard to finish if you are not too hungry. If you are into sandwiches I definitely recommend checking this place out.
Ordered the "how do you like them apples" turkey sandwich for $16. Everything was great but the napkins were wet when I took my sandwich out and proved pretty useless. The sandwich was good but doused in a vinaigrette which because soggy quickly. Very hefty sandwich, too much for one person and I have a big appetite. Loved the chopped chips in the sandwich only wish the bread wasn't so soggy. It because very messy and I was eating in the car on the go. Would try again but would ask for the dressing on the side.

My gf and I visited Don Daisy's for the first time and had a great experience. The location is small and has very limited seating, so don't plan on eating there. The sandwiches were tasty, but not mind blowing. The reason I still rate Don Daisy's 5 stars is because of the size and value. We ordered the Gobble Ghoul and The Sinatra. One on sourdough and the other on their ciabatta. Next time, I'll stick with the ciabatta. It was warm and fluffy, but more importantly, thick enough to hold the astonishing amount of sandwich fillings. Both sandwiches had a form of pickled veggies that kept them balanced and juicy despite the amount of meat in them. One of the many impressive aspects of the sandwiches are the crushed kettle chips. They actually stay inside and add to the overall enjoyment of the sandwich instead of being a performative sandwich ingredient. I really appreciate the effort Don Daisy's puts into providing a high quality sandwich experience without overcharging customers. I can't wait to explore more of their menu!

If you don't like spicy, I would ask for no jalepeno. My experience with the Jalepenos has been like a game of roulette. The store is small and seating is very limited, but the service is great! I dream about this place and can't wait to come back again!
Spotted their cute tiny storefront in passing and the image of the sandwich looked so delicious that I had to stop by for lunch. So glad I did, the sandwich was bomb. The lady at the cash register was very sweet and helpful, letting me take my time and offered me samples of the sauces. I went with the popular Don Daisy sandwich, it was so delicious, 10 out of 10! I love the touch of kettle chips in the sandwich. You literally don't even need to have a side of chips. It adds a yummy saltines and a great texture. The meats are high-quality and the bread doesn't get soggy on you. These sandwiches are huge. I was only able to eat half for lunch, and then scarfed down the other half for dinner, which held up really well. Will try again!
We were in the area and wanted to grab some food before we went to the concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I looked up sandwiches, and Don Daisy's came up. There aren't a ton of options, but we had no problem ordering. This place is very tiny, If I remember correctly, there were only two tables. You can't see where they're making the sandwiches. It feels very closed in. We ate half a sandwich at the concert and brought the other halves home to eat the next day. I suggest you eat the sandwich that same day, or else the ingredients make your bread soggy. The ones we ate at the concert, though were delicious. We actually could've just shared a sandwich, they are good size. If I was in the area and looking for a sandwich place, I would definitely visit again and try a different one. 10/22/25
Offers massive, flavor-packed sandwiches with crunchy chips.... Yeah, sounds about right! In the Glendale area for work and Don Daisy's was close by. So far I have only tried Figgeta 'Bout It, twice within the last week, and boy, I can't Figgeta about it. Something about this diabolical combo of fig jam and crumbled feta, with those expertly-stacked cucumbers and jalapeños, and that nice pop of freshness from the arugula, just works. The slight saltiness of the prosciutto balances well with the sweet jam, and crunchy kettle chips add a nice textural element. First time I ordered, I ordered one sandwich for myself with turkey on ciabatta. It was so massive that I only was able to eat half at lunch. I packed the rest and was able to eat for lunch the next day. The second time, my friend and I split one, also with turkey but on the regular sliced bread. Hoping to be back here soon so I can try the other amazing combos.

Incredible lunch spot, a little expensive for a sandwich, but you get what you pay for and its 100% worth it. Very fast service. Not a lot of seating inside, but a lot of people get delivery in this area so that makes sense. Perfect walking distance for anyone who works in the city. Also these are not small bite sandwiches, but the flavors help disregard the need for politeness. read more

I know. Rents high, gas is stoopid, the homeless are invading, grocery prices are rising, bike needs new tires, car needs a tune up, and Trump is trippen. But with all that, you hear theres new sammich spot with $20 sammiches. You gotsta be crazy to spend that much money. Well they call me crazy LeeLee. I got the Gobble Ghoul, its turkey. Its alot. U wont finish the whole sammich (and if u do you're a pig). Worth the 20 plus tip? I think anything is worth a try once, so yes. Its alot for a sammich but it's stacked and packed. Its beautiful if u likem thick (ha!) and you'll have a meal for 2 days. Next week I'll be back for the pastrami. Another tiktok ad W. Cheers. read more

I'm not a big fan of Pastrami....but I don't know what Don Daisy does to theirs cuz wow I'm hooked!! I got the Don Pastrami sandwich (added jalapeños) and was amazed but how tasty it was! They smoke their pastrami for 14 hours and the kettle chips adds a great crunchy texture to each bite! The lady here is so sweet and brings the food out to you when it's ready. Street parking was easy to find! However, the seating is very limited (only 2 small tables) so probably not great for a group gathering. read more

We walk by Don Daisy's all the time and finally gave it a try last weekend. Safe to say we'll be back often. The sandwiches were so good I was thinking about them all week and came back again a few days later. We had the Don Pastrami and the Sinatra, and both were incredible. I've had a lot of sandwiches in my life and this is easily a top spot for me. Highly recommend if you appreciate a quality sandwich with a great portion. read more
Wow! Don Daisy's strong-arms some of the best homemade sandwiches around. After drooling over the reviews from my fellow Yelpers, I decided to stop in and check it out for myself. So glad I did. A very simple storefront, with inviting vibrant colors and incredibly friendly staff await those that come inside to order. The menu is simple, mob-themed and delicious. There are no shakedowns, except that you'll be reaching into your wallet again and again to pay off your hunger debt. After speaking with the extremely nice young woman at the counter and asking for her recommendations, I went with the H.Y.L.T.A (How You Like Them Apples) $16.00 sando. The description on this one blew my mind: Maple-glazed turkey, havarti, cucumbers, jalapeños, granny smith apples, hot honey, crushed kettle chips, herbed aioli on ciabatta. You could also opt for sourdough, but trust me, ciabatta is where you want to be. Lucky enough to score a spot at one of the only two tables inside to eat, my sandwich was prepared a quickly and given to me in less than 10 minutes. Opening up the package, I was excited to see that the sandwich was large and packed full of incredible flavor combinations. I opted for the jalapeños on the side, so that I could take in all of the other yummy ingredients first. Each bite was outstanding and plentiful. The ciabatta bread is outstanding. Incredibly soft and fresh. The crunch of the chips with the sweetness of the honey and apples was mesmerizing. I added a couple of jalapeños to the second half of the sandwich and it definitely provided a little added heat, but not enough to overpower the other ingredients. In fact, it created some wonderful balance of spice and sweetness. The soft turkey slices were sweetened beautifully with the maple glaze. This was one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted as it was a completely tastebud sensory overload with each perfect bite. I was also luckily enough to speak with one of the workers who knew the owners and shared my thoughts with her. Simply put, if you want an amazing tasty sandwich for a reasonable price, check out Don Daisy's. As they say, "it's not a flower shop," but you'll be delighted with an incredible experience with a top-notch simplistic menu. No frills, no fuss. Hunger mob rules. read more

First of all I'm definitely not a sandwich person. I like salads. But this place? Holy cow the sandwiches are crazy good! And huge! Super friendly service and they could customize for my mom who avoids garlic due to an allergy. I loved my sandwich but could only eat half bc it's just that big! read more
Had delivered to echo park area. Despite the very long period between ordering, pickup and delivery, the sandwich help up really well. I was looking for a place for lunch when I saw this on Yelp. The store itself is sort of hole in the wall, with only two tables to sit at inside. I honestly wasn't expecting much because I never really think to myself "I crave a sandwich". However I kept an open mind as the big sign that says "88 out of 100 sandwich shops in the nation on Yelp" told me I would leave satisfied. My expectations were soon absolutely exceeded within the first bite. The server recommended me his favorite sandwich which was a H.Y.L.T.A (How You Like Them Apples) and I got it without jalapeños (I can't do spicy). I was pleasantly surprised how much I'd love this sandwich I think the apples complement it very well. My mother a picky eater got the Don Daisy which seems to be a customer favorite and she also enjoyed her sandwich when normally she's a picky eater. I think an important note is the sandwiches are going to be pretty hefty and honestly if you don't have a big appetite maybe you should split a sandwich with a friend. Also ask for more napkins cause it gets a bit messy at the last few bites. Surprisingly good! I got their How You Like Them Apples and while the combo sounds strange, it works well together. The sandwich proportion was big and totally worth your money. I like the added crunch from the crushed chips. The cucumbers were slightly sweet so beware if that's not your taste. I think you can request without it. I'd probably get this again if I were in this area. read more

The outside of Don Daisy's is lowkey and unassuming, you might not even know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The inside is very understated, mostly configured for pickup orders, aligned with how most people probably order when visiting the establishment. I ordered online and arrived about 5 minutes early, there were no other patrons dining inside. The staff was very nice, updating me on the status of my order, which did end up being ready precisely when their system said it would. I was also offered some water while I waited. Parking can be an issue on that stretch of Wilson, but there is generally a good amount of public parking in Glendale, you might just have to walk a few minutes. The sandwich was very decently sized for the price. We ended up getting the Sinatra and Don Veggie. They were both nicely balanced, good freshness from the veggies and a nice lil kick from the jalapenos, a generous portion of meats, and some nice texture and crunch from the kettle chips. I am a big fan of jalapeños and if you also frequent taco shops and grab charred jalapeños to eat straight up, then you already know about jalapeño roulette. Sometimes, jalapeños have almost zero spice, and other times they can reach Serrano levels. It doesn't bother me, but it definitely can make the sandwich's spiciness quite variable from bite to bite. You also can't tell until you eat it, so if you're not good with spice, consider opting out of the jalapeños. If there was one thing, it would be cool to add additional variety for modifications, maybe some spouts or shredded carrots for a different texture, but I also get keeping a small and manageable menu for small businesses so it's not a huge deal. I'm definitely going to be going back to try the whole menu! read more

Got their pastrami sandwich yesterday. Initially it was very good and the portions were great. Same with the customer service. However after 45 minutes of consuming the sandwich, I started to have food poisoning symptoms. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chills etc. I don't know what happened however this was very odd and I have never felt this way before. Unfortunately I won't be returning back even though the sandwich was good. read more

So far, I've tried: Don Daisy Sinatra Figetta Bout It HYLTA Don Pastrami Gobble Ghoul Literally every sandwich I mentioned stands as one of the greatest ever.
