Spotted this cafe on my way to the freeway entrance and stopped by to check it out. It's a cute little cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. They serve mortadella and pastrami sandwiches which looked amazing. I have to come back and try one. I ordered a cold brew coffee which tasted great. I took it black with no milk or sweetener, the taste was amazing. They also make gelato on site so I gotta try that as well. Will update my review once I come back. Customer service was friendly and welcoming.

    Hot Pastrami Sandwich

Cafe Izzi has the best hot pastrami sandwich I've ever had, without a doubt . I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and whenever I'm in Los Angeles, I make it a point to come here just for this sandwich. The pastrami is incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the bread is always perfectly toasted. Every bite is absolutely delicious. I've tried pastrami sandwiches at many places over the years, but nothing compares to Cafe Izzi. The quality, taste, and consistency are unmatched. If you're a pastrami lover, this place is a must visit. Carmen and Armen are awesome and super nice too.

I was patiently awaiting their opening since I live in the neighborhood. Finally had a chance to stop by this past week for the first time. This place definitely did not disappoint. The shop is very cute and cozy, and the menu is pretty simple. We came here to try the pastrami sandwich and the Persian mortadella sandwich. The staff were super nice, and we had our food in less than 10 minutes. I've had my share of mortadella sandwiches in my life, and this version was one of the best I've had! This will become a regular in my rotation. Also, the pastrami sandwich was delicious, it melts in your mouth. There are a lot of places serving pastrami nowadays, and these guys are one of the top contenders. I'm glad this is very local to me, and I can stop by anytime I want.

We tried the spicy pastrami and the regular pastrami sandwiches. Both were delicious! The bread was fresh had a crisp bite but was also soft! Just like the bread you find in Louisiana in shrimp po boy sandwiches. The sandwiches were stuffed! Refreshing now a days, when other restaurants reduce quantity. Two people can easily share one. Not too many sides but you don't really need it. Just get a crisp coke!

Turkey and avocado was huge and tasty

A great little corner cafe on Los Feliz blvd. Nicely designed with a modern open kitchen. Turkey n avocado on rustic bread with nice trimming was huge and tasty. Their hand carved pastrami is the real deal. Sandwiches here are plenty enough for 2.Window and outdoor seating or takeaway . Wonderful owner and counter person too.street parking a bit tight so use main blvd.

Like so dam good. You nod. You pause. You can't stop taking bites and confirming what a delicious sandwich. It's the kind of place where you crave and come back. The crust on the bread has that crunch factor. The Pastrami: 1/2 pound of high quality pastrami. Service is great! Cute cafe with the Atwater Village ambiance.

What a delicious sandwich they make ! It was spot on and exactly what I was craving. Bread was fresh and crunchy. Good balance of flavors. Highly recommend it! I ordered the mortadella and a hazelnut gelato. Was so good! Gonna have to go back for sure and try the other sandwiches in the menu. The owner lady and the staff are all very nice. Great place !

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and have been dreaming of this sandwich all week. Pastrami star, you are truly the star that lights up my life. The pastrami is thick, juicy, and tender, complemented beautifully by the peppers, mustard, avocado, and cheese. They also make their gelato in-house, rotating various flavors. We caught them today with a saffron/pistachio gelato which was so good and super creamy. Cafe Izzi is such a gem. I hope they stick around for a very long time.

Absolutely blown away by Cafe IZZI. The food was flawless from start to finish -- easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in LA. Everything tasted fresh, packed with flavour, and you can tell they put real care into what they do. The service was just as impressive; everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience enjoyable. And to top it all off, the ice creams hit the spot perfectly. Rare to find a place that nails both the food and the hospitality. Can't wait to come back!

Great hot pastrami. Love the cut. Definition of tight. Substantial and satisfying. I ordered mine with no mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes: mustard instead. It was terrific. Great service. On it-workers. Thank you to the owners and employees for bring this to us.

Everything has been so good and so fresh! My fav is the Ian Glass by far! It was so good and so filling. The price is pretty fair for a solid sandwich with good ingredients. Service is quick and easy, no frills. You stand in line, order, and then wait. You cannot and should not go back in line to check on the status of your order. When they're ready for you, you'll know. Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.) I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils.
