This is my first time having Philly cheesesteak. And it was the best! Very tasty! I also have their pizza fries, which is melted cheddar cheese with marinara sauce. It was the bomb! The people there were really nice, service was great! I love the atmosphere of their place. It felt like I was transported back in the 90s - photos of celebrities with their signed autographs and things of Philly like Rocky. I've been coming here since before yelp. Back when this was the only place in town to get a good cheese steak and some tasty cakes. (And before they served beer) It still holds up. The amorosa rolls can't be beat. I get the classic with grilled onions, provolone and white american with pepperoni. I'm one of those guys who doesn't call it a meal unless there is cheese present, so I know what I'm talking about. Service is always great. The place is always clean. Simple, high quality, very yummy! Went on a Thursday around lunch time, there was no wait but there was a constant flow of customers. We dined in, and the place has a diner vibe to it, nothing fancy. Got the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and fries. I felt the pricing was fair for the high quality meat, but the fries were a bit overpriced and not enough for sharing. Service was quick and efficent. Will definitely make this my go to spot when I crave a Philly cheesesteak. The burger was the best deal and tasted very good. The Cheese Steaks were just a bit pricy for what they are. The Onion rings consisted of about 5 onion rings for $5. I would not get those again. Service was fine, but not overly friendly. Kind of what I would expect from a Philly cheese steak place if I was back east. The man cooking the food was quite nice, but the guy at the registered made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Of course this was counter service that makes you answer the "tip question at the end." I don't get why anyone would tip for "to go" food. But I know that many people do. Been going to this location for over 15 years. Look, it's not the best cheesesteak in town. You'll get a better one at Boo's or probably South Philly Experience. But it's a solid sandwich. It's a good portion for the price. For around 20 bucks you're gonna get a cheesesteak sandwich, fries, and a drink. I get the hoagie. I like lettuce, tomotoe, onions, and mayo in mine. They also have burgers and chicken steak options. And what's fun here is that you feel you're somewhere else besides LA experiencing a little piece of Philly. Great memorabilia on the walls. Jerseys. Pictures of players. My son and I have a good time there and feel like we're seeing some of Philly as we eat an LA Philly Cheesesteak. Boo's is great. It's yummy. I'm not much of a "sandwich" person so this was really going out of my comfort zone. My bf loves them and was craving a Philly so I was down to give it a try. Parking is small and was full so we parked on the small street right by it. Walking in, you notice all these autographed photos along the wall which made it seem like a popular hole in the wall. I was intrigued! I ordered a classic Philly for take out. Food came out quick and we took it home to enjoy. The meat is juicy, cheese was great, buns were nice but still somehow couldn't satisfy me. I was only able to eat half before I got tired of it. I tried adding multiple sauces and toppings to it that we had in our fridge but it just wasn't doing it any justice for me. I have ordered from here twice and it's far and away the best philly cheesesteak I've had in LA (This is way better than Pat's or Geno's type tourist traps you'll find out there). Get the cooper sharp with grilled onions... that's the way to do it. If you like the wiz, I'm sure they do that as well but for my taste, the cooper sharp, grilled onions, seeded roll is money. The one I had the other day was comparable to Angelo's which has obviously gotten a lot of media/internet attention lately but tbh, this one held it's own with what many are calling the best cheesesteak in Philly right now. Philly's Best now has seeded rolls and cooper sharp cheese, which are a GAME CHANGER. Steaks places outside of PA, love promoting Amoroso rolls, which aren't even used by the proper steak spots in Philly, so seeing them promoted out here as some sort of delicacy was very disheartening to me. I would go to Boo's and Philly's Best whenever I would have a craving, but they never fully satisfied like Philip's Steaks, Tony Luke's, John's Roast Pork in South Philly. The popular steaks places today in Philly like Angelo's or Skinny Joey's use seeded rolls and cooper sharp cheese, so I'm glad Philly's Best caught up and are now curing that homesickness. "Cheese Attack" Crew Special / steak, mushrooms, American, provolone, cheese wiz - 5! I only recently discovered Philly's Best Cheesesteaks, which is a shame because I love cheesesteaks! Cheesesteaks are in my top ten all-time favorite sandwiches. The Philly's Best Burbank store was my second visit to one of their locations. They have over a dozen locations around Southern California and if my first two visits are any indication, they all are amazing. In addition to their robust regular menu, the Burbank location also has a menu board with a bunch of custom combinations courtesy of their crew. I love this idea and I knew I had to order from their "secret" menu. I chose the Cheese Attack, featuring three melted cheeses. It was very cheesy but the flavors paired well with the steak and mushrooms without dominating the sandwich. Honestly, this could be a standard menu option and lots of people would enjoy it. My sandwich was fresh, hot, and delicious. Consistent with the other location, Philly's Best places the cheese on the bread before they add in the meat. I don't mind cheese on top but I like that everything stays together this way without making a mess. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were quick with the order. Like the other location I visited, they turn their shop into a shrine for Philadelphia and they also focus on street art accents which is nice to see. It is in a small strip mall with limited parking but there is lots of easy street parking nearby. I am two for two with Philly's Best and I look forward to discovering more of their locations as well as returning to the two I've been to so I can try more of their menu. read more

I don't even know where to begin the treatment from the manager was entirely uncalled for ... I placed and order online but after placing it realized the app chose the wrong location something that happens immediately called to let them know and apologized and asks for a refund the lady on the phone stated that I needed to contact toast bc they don't have access to any of that information thankfully the food was not wasted bc they held off on the order called toast with no way to really get thru finally finding info online toast referred me back to the restaurant bc they have access to my payment and they should be able to refund me called them Back again got the run around finally called back and got a hold of the manager he was short with me and I wasn't being rude I just wanted to be assured that I got my refund he ended the conversation with I issued you you refund with a snarky tone and added it was really complicated so next time be more careful !!! I am from Philadelphia and I approve this message. Philly's Best, a franchise chain with 19 Southern California locations, seems be everywhere. Lucky for us Burbankers, we've got our own, and it's right across the street from Burbank's mammoth Social Security office. Small joints like Philly's Best really got hammered during Covid, and my hat was off to Burbank's location, setting up a screen, taking orders in person, and generally trying to keep the experience legit. TYVM. Tons of easy parking in their parking lot or next door in the Centinela Pet & Feed lot (same property owner, don't worry). Tons of easy seating inside too. Order at the counter and wait to hear your name. As a born and raised Philadelphia boy, I can attest that the Philly Cheesesteak (steak, mushrooms, sweet peppers, white American cheese, grilled onions on a soft roll) is legit. Shareable! Also good? The pizza burger. The fries are a hit. If you want the full Robbie B-growing-up experience, get a Frank's soda (Philadelphia staple, try the black cherry flavor) and potato chips (Herr's brand from Philadelphia). Ok today's my birthday and my mother just passed away, so I went to get a massage next door and was going to stop and grab a bite to eat afterwards. Because who doesn't love a good Philly cheese right. So I pull in the lot and get out my car to discover a short guy approaching me. He walks over to me yelling and says you can't park there. I'm like huh. I'm like I'm going next door. He said this lot is for the 4 businesses here. Mind you there are about 10 empty spaces or in the center. I said ok and walked away. He ran out his place of business 3 other times to tell people that they couldn't park there. I look into his sandwich store and there's not 1 individual purchasing food. That's probably why. When I was ordering I asked the team member at the register if the ham and cheese hoagie was warmed up but the manager or owner interjected with "this isn't Quizno's" and said the sandwich was served cold. I would have been fine with the preparation if that's the way it was served but it was a rude comment to make instead of just saying it's not served that way. At least Quiznos had good customer service unlike this place. Now I realize why they were dead during the lunch hour, food is good but if the service is like this then they will struggle to grow as a business. read more

My buddy recommended this spot to me so I went to check it out at lunch. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of seating. The service was great and wait time was under 15 minutes. This place is great! It has a decent amount of parking and the food is really good. I get the pepperoni Cheesesteak and the Cheese fries. Size wise it's not super wide but about a foot long. Classic Philly cheese taste with options for different cheeses (white American seems to be default). Overall my cheese steak coated around 13 and with the cheese fries around 20. First time having a cheesesteak! Decided to go simple and get a regular cheesesteak with American cheese. Food came out quickly. They had seating inside and a couple tables outside. Being my first cheesesteak, I don't have anything to compare it to but it was delicious! The meat tasted flavorful. Bread was soft and a little chewy. I believe I read they have the bread specially delivered. I would eat that bread by itself and be happy to be honest. We were in Burbank and were looking for dinner take-out that we hadn't had in the past. We drove by Philly's Best and pull over to check out the menu. I think it had previously been located at the corner of Olive and Victory but it was many years ago. I just thought it closed up. Had no idea it just went a mile down the road. Covid precautions as of 5/26/21 had no inside access to the restaurant. They have a fold up table at the entrance where an employee will take your order, take your payment and eventually give you your food order. We ordered a cheesesteak ($7.99) with cheez whiz for me, chicken & cheese chicken steak ($7.99) for the lady, an Italian Market salad ($6.29) and french fries ($2.39).... The cheesesteak was really good. Loved the thinly cut steak, with the whiz served in that delicious Amoroso roll. That bread is soft and just perfect. It really makes it for me. It was the first time I had cheesesteak with whiz and I really liked it. I would get it again but probably add mushrooms and fried onions to maybe reduce the salt taste just a slight. It was a really good cheesesteak. The lady liked her chicken cheesesteak... We also liked the Italian salad we got that came with capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, provolone & LTO. We opted for an oil & vinegar dressing. Good side salad with Italian meats. The fries held up well on the drive home and I liked that as a side too. Friendly service... we ordered on the spot and waited about 15 mins or so for our order. They do have to take your card from the front door to back inside to swipe it. Don't waste your time or money here. Gave this place another try after a lackluster first experience and it was somehow even worse. This business is probably one that should have gone under during the pandemic. The workers spend more time chatting with one another and cleaning up behind the counter than actually providing service or making your food. I had 4 people order before me and they got their food in a decent amount of time (15 min) though still a wait. My food took almost 30 min. for 2 sandwiches. Completely unacceptable when you're busy not filling orders and looking at the same order tickets multiple times to figure out what to cook. And occupied with sweeping in between attempting to make orders, all while their computer system was down since they could not even take app orders or credit card payments. Maybe those customers were the lucky ones. As far as cleanliness, maybe the health dept. should drop by for a surprise inspection. Workers using the same gloves to touch mops/brooms as well as food and the grill. Definitely not sanitary by any means and probably something that should be addressed, yet I have a feeling neither management or the employees care. I wish I could say I was surprised, but this place should fall the waist side so something better can potentially take it's place.
