I ordered the lox bagel, Matcha pancakes, and my friend ordered the original benedict meal with matcha latte. I found the lox bagel pretty standard, but it hit the spot. The Matcha pancakes were delicious, but unfortunately, it didn't have a strong Matcha flavor. My friend enjoyed their benedict meal and both of their poached eggs were perfect! Stopped by today with my mom and sister, I had a peach mimosa which was very delicious & the sweet crepes that had condensed milk, Nutella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries & walnuts they were amazing!! We sat outside on the wraparound patio because it was 82 degrees in early December and we ordered a salmon Benedict and a veggie omelette. Our food looked pretty and tasted fresh and healthy. My Benedict was not drenched in sauce so it tasted very light, and the breakfast potatoes were perfect - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Undercooked breakfast potatoes are a pet peeve of mine! I also ordered a lavender latte with oat milk and it was served with a pink heart and a real violet in the foam. So aesthetic and tasty! Everytime we go to LA, we pass by here during the weekend and its always packed so we decided to give it a try and I am glad we did. Now that tiny breakfast burritos seems to be the new trend (thanks Wake and Late), I was worried that the $20 breakfast burrito may leave me hungry. Not the case. It was a normal sized burrito and was packed with avocado along with the eggs, hashbrowns and sausage, so it actually ended up being very filling. My friends and I had a late Galentine's celebration at BB Cafe. I thought it was cute that the name of the cafe is my initials! The restaurant is not as big, but they have plenty of tables indoors and outdoors. But even with a reservation, we had to wait a few minutes for a table. My friends and I wanted to seat inside, but we were told that it would be a longer wait for a table inside, so we decided to just seat outside. While the outdoor table wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as the indoor ones, especially due to the constant traffic, we made the most of our celebration and spent quality time together. The chilly morning was mitigated by the heaters, which were a bit too strong. We politely requested a lower setting from our waitress. Now for the food, I had been so excited about trying their salmon Benedict's, but they were lacking some flavor. My friends said their food was missing a little bit of salt. A pinch of salt fixed it. They have bottomless mimosas, but I didn't feel like drinking alcohol. I ordered a Matcha Latte, and that was good, plus it looked beautiful! They did a good job on the latte art, plus they added a little flower on top of that. Bb Breakfast Sepcial w overeasy eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, Belgian Waffle - this is a nice assortment of food, you get tons of choices to put together a combo that you want. I usually get over easy and those are good. I tried to order a soft/wet scramble once and they just came out regular scrambled. Sometimes, the hashbrowns have been overcooked, sometimes they have been great. Sometimes the bacon has been overcooked and hard, sometimes it's great. Belgian Waffle 4 squares - nicely crispy and soft. Comes with real maple syrup and they give you a good amount of it! That's a rarity, so I give them props for that. Ask for butter - they usually bring it out pre-melted. Calamari - overcooked, but still edible. Needed salt/seasoning of some kind. The battery is nice and light and they give you an assortment of rings and legs. I wouldn't order this again tho. Sometimes this place is really busy and I feel like that's when I've gotten the more so-so food. On days when there are only a few tables here, I've had better experiences. The patio area outside is nice with some covered areas for sunny/warm days. You can eat under the overhang in the rain too if it's not too windy.
