It got a little warm today. Since we had a late breakfast, we were full but needed something refreshing. With a little browsing in the area, we found this highly recommended store and decided to give it a try. Cafe Grano is located on the corner of San Fernando and East Olive Ave. It's a cozy and beautiful store with a few seats inside and outside. It was packed, and there was a short line, but the staff handled everything efficiently.They have a few options of sandwiches, pastries, and a good, interesting variety of coffees, lattes, and teas. I ordered a Wild Rose Matcha Latte and a Nutella croissant. When I was ordering, the helpful cashier explained that they serve two types of matcha, one of which is smoother than the regular one. I decided to order the smoother option. Even though they were busy, my order was ready very quickly. They are super fast. With one sip of my latte, I instantly loved it. The hint of wild rose and the very smooth matcha were so refreshing. I didn't think the combination of wild rose and matcha would be such a good choice, but they absolutely nailed it. It was super delicious. The Nutella croissant was crunchy and tasty. The store was clean, very organized, and the staff stayed on top of everything while being kind and helpful. I like their variety of flavors! I got a spring special, the blackberry matcha with almond creme. It's a bit much in price but honestly, it's the current standard for specialty coffee. The service was quick and friendly and the location is a great spot with a clean upkeep happening inside. So whenever I'm in the area and want a special coffee or matcha (or maybe tea), I know the spot I'll go try. The drink was very delicious as well. I like that you can sit outside and watching the bustling traffic (that's a joke) -- if only Burbank became the valleys Third Street Promenade but hey one Burbankian to another can dream. I am way overdue for an updated review to this lovely shop, so here it goes. They make the best mocha in town, no question. Their cream tops on iced drinks are delicious. My partner loves the bacon cheddar scone. The Burrata Tricolore, the Parma Dolce, and the Mortadella Sorrento paninis are all to die for! The focaccia they use is so freaking good! Just as good or better than anything I had in Italy. The balance of flavors is so nice and they are big sandwiches. Easily sharable! Ever since they opened, they have consistently improved their space and evolved their menu. Seasonal specials are thoughtful and creative. Every single thing I've had here has been outstanding - well constructed, well balanced flavors, expert attention to detail. The people here are all so sweet and so good at what they do. Service is warm, personal and engaging. Community springs up around this shop. They are continually experimenting and sharing with their customers. Stumbled upon this place in the evening, in dire need to work. This place is clean and has fast wifi! We got a smoothie along with a strawberry creamed pastry. The smoothie wasn't too sweet, so they have condiments on the side for you to add more sugar, etc., to your liking. The strawberry creamed pastry was really good, but there was barely any filling. There was only one dollop. If there had been more cream, I would have gotten seconds. This is a great place to relax because it's not too loud. read more

We've come here a couple of times now every time we stay nearby. This time we came we ordered a sage cheddar croissant, a cherry bomb muffin, a honey anise nutmeg latte, and a green smoothie. The cherry bomb muffin had custard inside of it, which was unexpected but my partner enjoyed it. The sage cheddar croissant was pretty good but my only complaint was that even after they warmed it up, the croissant was still just lukewarm but still fresh. The green smoothie has no added sugars and was very fresh, almost like a juice. The honey anise nutmeg latte was very good and it was nice they put it in the mug we brought. Staff members are pretty kind though the space is on the smaller side. Overall, this is a small place with like 4 indoor tables and a small bar stool area and an outdoor table. I would like to give big shout out to the young lady with curly hair for making an awesome Latte. I can say it was the best one I had recently. After couple of tasteless lattes, I finally had a great tasting latte. Thank you young lady for the awesome latte. For ambiance, this location has both indoor and outdoor seating area. When I visited the weather was nice, so I sat outside and enjoyed my latte. Around noon, it can be busy. However, drinks are made fast. My drink was ready in less than five minutes which I really appreciate. For parking, there is both street parking and public parking. read more

Was not a fan of this place the first time I visitred but the second time was delicious. They have delicious almond croissants (especially the filling) and rose lattes (among other things). I'd like to try a panini sometime. It's a small coffee shop on the corner of dowtown Burbank, with good service, sandwiches, baked goods, smoothies, and coffee... A great place for a snack or a break from San Fernando blvd. :) It's quite small, the furniture is admittedly a bit flimsy (the inside tables for example) so just be careful not to accidentally topple anything over. :) read more

They also asked if I liked my drinks on the sweet side so I assume they added a little extra sweetner to the drink. Overall, this was good but felt very pricey. Amazing place! I love coming here to study and get my coffee fix! Today I had a caprese verde and asked them to add a few slices of prosciutto inside! I also got their Kyoto matcha with a lemon honey cream top which was soooo delicious and creamy. I don't usually like matcha that's too sweet so this was perfect! They also have cookies, pastries (which aren't pictured) and gelato flavors of all sorts! I tried the marshmallow (my favorite) and I will definitely be coming back to get a scoop of that once it's warmer out! Staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy & welcoming! Really good matcha flavor. I've really been wanting to try this strawberry matcha I see everywhere. I was not really crazy about real chunks of strawberry being in my drink. Maybe you would but it was not for me. The fruit kept getting stuck in my straw. Restroom inside but needs a code and it was too busy for me to get it. The paninis sound amazing. Their coffee drinks are delightful with wonderful flavors and strong coffee. I always get an iced cappuccino and am completely satisfied every time. In addition to coffee drinks, they have a delicious selection of pastries and creamy gelato. My favorite pastry is the chocolate donut cake. It is unbeatable!
